AuthenTec finger print suddenly stopped working

Hi,
Suddenly today morning AuthenTec software on my notebook (3000 N200 0769) has stopped working. I am not getting the finger print option when I start my vista and further when I open the software it says AuthenTec not installed or sensor is switched off...!!
Please, if anyone can suggest any solution than it will be really appreciated.

Why does my finger print recognition stop working on my IP6 and IOS 8.1.2 after a few uses. I re-enter finger prints and it stops working again after a few uses.

No one here would know. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

T420s Finger Print Reader stops Working..

Last night my finger print reader stops functioning for any startup (Power On Password) or the windows password or for the Password Mangaer.
I m running duel boot Windows 8 and the Ubuntu 12.10.
Everything was upto date when i faced this last night.. i tried removing battery and kept it for 3 hours.. Still no use..
Should i re flash the Bios 1.35(already flashed latest)..??
The Finger Print LED doesnt lite or blink at all..
T420s 4170-CTO : i5 2520M, 6GB RAM, 320GB HDD(7200rpm).

Is the reader showing as a device in Device Manager?
Did the system come with Win 8 if not the why did you do whatever and detail?

Tx2500z Finger Print Reader stopped working

Hi all,
My finger print reader randomly stopped working. It looks fine in device manager, but when I pull up the software it says that it is disconnected.
As I said, this happened out of the blue - it had been working, then it stopped, without me changing any major software/drivers. I've tried updating the driver but to no avail.
Anyone seen this before or have any ideas?

If its anything like the TX1000 series, then your next problem will be your wireless card, then your DVD drive. Then you will need to shut the laptop on and off several times to get it to boot. Then, finially, it will no longer boot at all. If you google your problem, you may find, as I have with the TX1000, that this scenerio is playing out over and oer, and HP is not recalling the defective motherboards. I wish you the best, if your under warranty, get it in as soon as possible!

HT4993 finger print scanner stopped working

When I updated to 7.1 my finger print scanner on my 5S stopper working. Any suggestions?

Have you tried a full restore of the phone.

Printing SUDDENLY stopped working

I'm suddenly unable to print on my MacBook Pro. Choosing Print in any application does nothing, and I see the following error in the console log:

I use 3 shared printers with my MacBook Pro: a Brother HL1440 (shared from my Mac Mini), a Brother MFC420CN connected to my router, and an HP PhotoSmart A620 shared from my Buffalo TeraStation. My MBP is networked wirelessly to an Airport Extreme 802.11n base station.
I've tried resetting the printing system, clearing caches, multiple restarts, and running FixAirportPrinter (which shows an empty list). The only thing that changed was installing VMware 2.0 today.

Hello Mike:
A place to start would be to uninstall the VMware application you mention (I have no clue what it does as I do not use it). Third party applications sometimes do not play well with OS X. If you do not want to do that, contact the software developer.

Touch ID suddenly stops working.

I just got my iPhone 6 over a week ago and this is my first time having an iPhone with the Touch ID. Everything was working fine until today. The Touch ID decides to work then suddenly stops working then back and forth. When it doesn't get my finger print it says "try again" but it's not even trying to scan it. I've read a few posts about how your hands have to be clean, dry and to clean the home button with rubbing alcohol, etc. I've read and done it. I've also restarted my phone a few times in hopes it will fully start working again but no luck. I'll admit that I had my phone laying on a counter while I was taking a shower today and it got humid. But, I've done that in the past with other phones and they're perfectly fine. Do I have to be in a perfect temperature for the Touch ID sensor to work correctly forever or what??? I can still go back and change my phone but if this is a common problem then I rather just keep this phone.

I have figured out the wall connection somehow messed with Touch ID. I noticed when it would only work while it wasn't charging. I changed the charger and it's working perfectly!! Leaving this post just in case someone has the same problem I had.

Printhead suddenly stopped working

About 4 years ago I bought the photosmart plus b210a all-in-one and about a year later after replacing the ink cartridges as instructed for this particular model and as i had done everal times already, It suddenly stopped working. It ran the test page print fine but when i went to scan an item it wouldnt scan at all. I ran through all troubleshooting and everything pointed to a broken printhead. This simply doesnt make sense. I recently found this printer in the closet where i put it after the issue. I want to use it again but found that these printshoes can cost upwards from $50, thats almost the price i paid for the printer back then. I might as well just get another shotty printer. This printer constantly gave me problems especially since it liked to reset its network connectivity constantly. anyway i believe this issue to be the fault of hp selling a shotty product. however since i dont have the money to buy a new printer and since it was practically new when it broke itself i want to find a way to fix this. I will not pay for a print shoe that costs almost as much as the printer itself it is ridiculous and reeks of corporate greed.

My Epson R2880 printer has stopped working - 'filter failure'

My prized Epson R2880 has suddenly stopped working. I upgraded to 'Mavericks' some time ago but for some reason this error popped up today and there appears to be no remedy.
Have tried deleting the printer and 're adding it several times' - no good. Epson site says that driver updates are available only from Apple. Apple update did not work.
Luckily I still have a trusty PC to fall back on but I really expect the Mac to contiue to work with this printer.
Any ideas?

If you haven't done so already, try resetting the printing system.

Why did video and audio chat suddenly stop working?

I used to be able to video and audio chat with my parents, but it suddenly stopped working. They use AIM.
I get the "There was a communication error during your chat" message come up when I try to connect to their video chat requests. I spent a couple hours reading the old posts on this issue, but nothing seems to work for me. Thanks to anyone who can help me -- my parents in Illinois want to be able to see their grandbaby!

Ok,
Most routing devices have ports that are open (1 - 1024) that allow you to use Web Browser and Mail apps without any set up.
Certain apps need other ports open or allowed as thy are normally closed (1024 - 65535)
Now there are several ways to open these ports.
One method is called Port Forwarding and points the ports you list to one IP on your LAN (The one your computer is getting/using)
Now if the routing device is left doing DHCP this IP can change now and then meaning the Port Forwarding is no longer pointing to the Computer (IP).
If your computer (or your parents in this case) is left on all the time it tends to keep the IP as the Lease as it is called is renewed.
However if the computer is Off for longer than the lease time It will get a new IP
The thing to do is check the routing device's Settings.
This site lists many devices.
If yours is there click on it.
On the next page Click on iChat
You will now see the Default Access Info (And the Port Forwarding info)
DO NOT DO the Port Forwarding but check the settings.
If it does have Port Forwarding set up check the IP it lists as going to matches the one you see in System Preferences > Network for your computer.
AS you say your parents were away for a time I suspect it may be their end.

IMAC suddenly stops working Mouse,keyboard, wifi all stops responding. PLEASE HELP

iMAC suddenly stops working,display is on but key board and mouse does not respond.I changed keyboard with usb also but still same.even wifi stops working also.PLEASE HELP before there was some kernel panic errors , i updated every thing, installed an original osx mountain Lion. taken to Apple service center. They found nothing wrong with hard ware. But i am having still the same problems. It just stops responding to keyboard, mouse even wifi goes off some time. I thought it may be keyboard mouse problem so i changed them to normal usb keyboard and mouse but still the same. That panic was not caused by third-party software. If the problem is recurrent, the possibilities are:
A stale or corrupt kernel cache
A damaged OS X installation
A fault in a peripheral device, if any
Corrupt non-volatile memory (NVRAM)
An internal hardware fault (including incompatible memory)
An obscure bug in OS X
You may already have ruled out some of these.
Rule out #1 by booting in safe mode and then rebooting as usual. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
You can rule out #2 and #3 by reinstalling the OS and testing with non-essential peripherals disconnected and aftermarket expansion cards removed, if applicable. Sometimes a clean reinstallation (after erasing the startup volume) may solve a problem that isn't solved by reinstalling in place, without erasing.
Corrupt NVRAM, which rarely causes panics, can be ruled out by resetting it.
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications for your model. Memory that is either slower or faster than specified may be incompatible.
The Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics, though generally unreliable, will sometimes detect a fault. A negative test can't be depended on. Run the extended version of the test.
In the category of obscure bugs, reports suggest that FileVault may trigger kernel traps under some unknown conditions. Most, though not all, of these reports seem to involve booting from an aftermarket SSD. If those conditions apply to you, try deactivating FileVault.
Connecting more than one display is another reported trigger for OS X bugs.
If your system is not fully up to date, running Software Update might get you a bug fix.
In rare cases, a malformed network packet from a defective router or other network device can cause panics. Such packets could also be sent deliberately by a skillful attacker. This possibility is something to consider if you run a public server that might be the target of such an attack.
If none of the above applies, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. You may have to leave it there for several days. There isn't much point in doing this unless you can reproduce the panic, or if you can't, it happens often enough that it's likely to be repeated at the store. Otherwise you may be told that nothing is wrong.
Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you know how to restore, and you have at least two independent backups.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

It seems when i do something simple as typing text, it'll stop working and give me a "Adobe Photoshop suddenly stop working". My CS4 32bit version seems to working fine with whatever i'm working on. I'm running a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit Ultimate on a new computer Intel quad core with 4gig of ram if that helps. Sorry if this have been asked before but i couldn't find anything on these forums. Thanks in advance.

Either the physical drive or the enclosure electronics has failed. The light you are seeing is powered by the USB connection, the power, electricity, all USB ports put out. That doesn't mean the actual physical hard drive or the USB to SATA bus electronics are working properly. If it doesn't show in Disk Utility then it is DEAD.
Most of the time it is the enclosures electronics that fail. Removing the physical drive from the enclosure and put it in another enclosure or using a SATA to USB adapter, one that has it's own AC power supply, might allow you to get the files off the drive.
