Authentication EAS and PLanning/Windows 2000

<p>Hi,<br><br>I&rsquo;m trying to Configure Business Rules. But, before this, isnecessary to configure External Authentication for Planning andEAS. I don&rsquo;t know how to do this because I&rsquo;m installall things in my machine (Windows 2000 Server), then I don&rsquo;tknow what kind of authentication I have to use, how to configurethis on my machine.<br><br>Anyone knows something about it, please?<br><br>Thanks!<br></p>

<p>What version of planning and essbase you are using..if you areusing pre-system 9 then HBR comes along with planning and you needto configure repository for both HBR and GHBR(graphical) ..you needto to give EAS user id and passord for HBR setting and Essbase userid and password for GHBR setting ...</p><p>  If you are using system 9 then HBR comes along withEAS ...You need to register EAS to shared services beforegenerating peropeties file..So when you generate peroperties fileit would generate HBR.properties and send notification to HBRserver and you would be able to work on HBR ..</p>

  • Cp1525nw and a Windows 2000 system

Is there a way to share a CP1525NW color laser printer on a wired network that includes a Windows 7 system and a Windows 2000 system? The Windows 7 system has no problem finding and printing to the printer but there is no driver available for the Windows 2000 system from HP. Is it possible to use the Windows 7 system as a print server that shares the printer so that the Windows 2000 can access the printer through the Windows 7 system?
    Thanks in advance.

I used the CP1510 drivers instead.
    1. A computer with a newer OpSys (XP in my case) has the CP1525 installed. Share it for others.
    2. Download HP Laserjet CP1510 driver for Win 2000. Run the self-extractor. Extract and cancel installing. there will remain a folder with all the files in c:\
    3. Open the printers window from control panel. Click Add Printer. Make it a local printer and Create a new port. Write the port name - \\computername\printerSharename and click next. Selecting the driver click Have Disk and choose the folder where the extracted driver for the CP1510 is situated.
Click next and it works like a song.
    Good luck.

  • Oracle 9i and upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows 2003

    Hi,
We have a Oracle 9i (9.2.0.6.0 Enterprise Edition) running under Windows 2000 and the OS group is going to upgrade to Windows 2003.
My question is: will Oracle keep working?
I hope so because we are not allowed to upgrade to 10g or 11g and I think Oracle 9i for Windows 2003 can't be downloaded anymore.
    regards,
    Ivan

    Please see your suggested doc
    - Take a cold backup of you existing database before you start OS and DB upgrade .
    - Upgrade the Operating system (refer your OS documentation for detail)
    - Execute 'relink all '
    - Verify that the existing database is working fine with the upgraded Operating system.
    - Take one more cold backup before you start Database upgrade
    - Install Oracle Software (to which you want to upgrade) in new oracle home.
    - Upgrade database (refer the upgrade/migration guide for complete instruction ) *Process To Upgrade the Operating System and Oracle Database Server [ID 407055.1]*
It means you need startup upgrade/migrate.

Have you tried these several things?
++Reset your iPod (hold the Menu and center buttons together).
++Put your iPod in disk mode, then connect it to your computer.
++Try restarting your computer, then connect your iPod.
++Save your iTunes library, and completely reinstall the program through "Contro Panel -> Add or remove programs" area.
++unplug all other USB devices that are connected to your computer, then connect your iPod.
++See if your iPod is low on charge. If it is, eject it through the Safely Remove Hardware program, and leave it connected for an hour. After that, unplug it, and connect your iPod again in disk mode (see above for details).
++Close iTunes. Try going to Task Manager, to the "Processes" tab. Find these names: "iPodSErvice.exe", "iTuneshelper.exe", and "iTunes.exe". End all of these processes. Reset your iPod, connect it, and open iTunes.

++Have you tried to complete all the Five R's? REad more about it here -> the Five R's
++Also, you may want to consider going back to iTunes 6. You can find the download of the previous version here -> Download iTunes 6.0.5

  • How to download and use iTunes 7.4 with only Windows 2000

I have a brand-new iPod Nano (1st generation) with 4 GB capacity, given to me in 2007. I am just getting around to trying to install and use it, but when I try to download the iTunes 7.4 software, I get a message that I need at least Windows XP or Vista to install and use the software with the iPod Nano. I only have Windows 2000 on my computer, which is company owned (so I am not allowed to update my Windows software). Anyone have a solution so that I can get some level of iTunes software in order to use the iPod Nano?? PS I tried to download iTunes 6 software, but I got a message that my iPod nano needed a more recent version of the iTunes software. Same thing happened when I tried to download the iTunes 8 version of the software.

  • Best wireless security for mixed Mac OS X, Windows XP and Windows 2000

While I am posting, I may as well ask this question too.
It seems that WPA/WPA2 are only supported by Windows XP or later.
But I also think I read somewhere that there are different flavours of WEP for Macs and Windows.
For a home network based on AE, what is the best form of wireless security to handle 2 Macs (iMac and MacBook Pro), a Windows XP and a Windows 2000 notebook (all running wireless G).
    Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion Michael - unfortunately software changes to the Win2k machine are not an option for me - it has been completely locked down by my corporate IT dept.
So I think I am stuck with WEP. From scouring the Apple tech discussion posts it looks like a five letter ASCII or thirteen letter ASCII password in WEP are my only options, but I am not sure which of these is most appropriate for all 4 machines.

  • Help Windows 2000 and Zen4GB is

Well, I goofed, purchased a (non-returnable) refurbished 4GB Zen and have Windows 2000. I read the specs and that page did not list the OS needed. I am certain many others have had this problem as 2000 is pretty common, and don't know why Creative hasn't handled this software issue, does anyone know how to hook up the Zen 4GB with Windows 2000?

Winamp is a program similar to iTunes that helps you to manage your music on your computer and then sync the music to your device. You can download it for free (just Google Winamp) or there is a Pro version for a small one-off payment. It supports Windows 2000. There's a wealth of information on the website, including a Help section, FAQ and a User Forum. As the program is open-source, it supports plug-ins which modify the software to suit a user's needs - you may be able to find a plug-in in order to use your Zen with it. I use it as I personally prefer it to Creative's own offering and find it'sa powerful but easy program to use.
MediaMonkey is a similar program although I haven't used it personally. Google it and you can download it for free. It has the plug-ins already installed to be able to detect and sync most MP3 players. It is supports Windows 2000 (in fact it supports Windows 95!).
    Hope this helps!

  • Different Pre-Windows 2000 domain and FQDC.

I have a SBS 2003 box that was originally migrated from SBS2000. i just finished install new 2012 standard server and installed AD service on it, but when i trying promote to DC, it won't do it until functional level raise to least 2003 level.
    My question is following:
when user login, user uses pre-windows 2000 login name.
For example, DC11\user but FQDC is DC1.local.  we have no DC11 exist.
When user trying login as DC1\user, it won't able to login. even Administrator has to login as DC11\administrator not DC1\administrator.
When i look user properties account login name user @dc1.local and pre-Windows 2000 name DC11\ user are listed.
if i raised to Windows 2003 function level, did user can't login? or any effect?
    Thanks

DC11 is the NetBIOS name of your domain and it can be changed using Active Directory Domain rename tools -
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/bb405948.aspx - if you don't want to use DC11 in your environment. However, this could have impact other applications like Exchange,
as Exchange doesn't support domain rename.
Another option for you would be to deploy a new Forest or domain with the names that you desire and migrate stuff - Users/Workstations/Servers/Application and get rid of old domain.
UPNs ([email protected]) is easy to change but changing NetBIOS is a complex process and needs to be done with extreme care.

How do I set up networking between my G5 local network and a Windows 2000 Workstation network? I seem to be stopped by the Mac local network being on a different subnet mask than the Windows network. There is an ethernet switch controlling the Windows net (Netgear GS-116) and a GS-108 controlling the Mac network. How do I change the Mac subnet address, if I need to?

I had purchased a Oracle8i (MS/Windows NT CD (E-Commerce), part Number A94674-01 in the month of Jun 2000.
When I tried to install Oracle 8i personal edition of Windows 2000 ver.
The installation got completed smoothly. But after that I was not able to start my database and even Windows 2000 crashed after that. After every crash I reinstalled windows 2000 and oracle 8i but the result was same. My whole purpose of purchasing Oracle 8i on windows 2000 is getting defeated.
I would request you send me solution what to do ? Or replace my Oracle S/W. Its useless for me right now.

  • Windows 2000 no longer supported ?

    Hi,
I would like to report an incompatibility issue.
In order to use some older tools, I wanted to make a VmWare image of Windows 2000. It needed a Java runtime. The java.com website suggested version 6.24, and listed Windows 2000 as one of the targets. This version does not install, however. It complains about a missing DLL, and even when you supply that DLL, it stops completely a little later.
I next downloaded an older version, version 6, and it worked first time.
I think this should either be fixed, or it should be displayed that Windows 2000 is no longer supported, with the website then suggesting a working version.
    Regards, Matt

Okay. But the people you want to reach don't look here. You need to create a bug report in bugs.sun.com and then maybe after a few months someone will take a look at it and think "Windows 2000? Even Microsoft doesn't support that anymore. Won't fix".
The real answer you have already found. If you must use an outdated unsupported OS, you will need to use an outdated version of Java to match it.

  • Yet Another Help! Connecting to Windows 2000

Hello all, I see this is a popular topic. Got the latest 60 gig ipod and my Windows 2000 SP4 with the latest ipod updater and itunes. All of this and the program simply won't recognize my ipod. Windows sees it as a generic usb harddrive and that's it. ipod won't see it nor itunes doesn't. Thought it might be the ipod but I plugged it into my XP laptop and it works seamless. Any hope for Windows 2000 users? I already did the support page process but it didn't provide any help
    Any help would be great

  • Can't add PCI-GPIB board in Windows 2000.

    Installed software:
    NI-DAQ v6.9.2
    NI-488.2 v1.7
    MAX v2.2.0.3010
After physically installing the PCI-GPIB board and booting, Windows 2000 recognized the card and configured it such that it shows up in Device Manager. Device Manager shows "This device is working properly."
However, when I double-click on GPIB in Control Panel I get the message, "No GPIB interfaces present in the system."
If I open MAX and do a refresh the card does not show up. If I right click on "Devices and Interfaces" and click "Create New", select "GPIB Interface", click Finish, select PCI-GPIB, I get "The PCI-GPIB is a plug and play interface and requires no manual hardware configuration for installation. You should now install the interface i
    nto your system."
    What's wrong?

I phoned NI tech support and they said although NI-488.2 v2.0 recommends version 2.6.1 of NI-VISA, it is not required and still should work OK. Also, as of this date, version 2.6.1 has not been released.
The good news: I installed NI-488.2 v2.0 and the card is recognized by NI-MAX now. Installation note for anyone else trying it: I installed the software on a fairly fast 1.3 GHz PC. So after installing the board and booting the PC, the NI Add Hardware Wizard started running before Windows 2000 had completed its installation of the board. The wizard's first attempt failed to find the board. When I clicked "Retry," the wizard found the board and it tested OK.
