Authentication post processing+goto URL
Hi All,
How can I get goto url for a user that has been authenticated by SAM 7.1 using authentication post processing class?
I have to check user attribute in post processing class and redirect by user to SIM change password page as per requirement.
I want that the same goto url I can pass to change password page so that user can redirected to initial requested page after successful password change.
I tried using request.getParameter(goto) but it gives me some encrypted value which I am not able to use. I searched on google and found that ssoToken.getProperty("FullLoginURL"); works for some guys but unfortunately not for me :( :(
If sombody has similar kind of implemetation please let me know the solution.
I would appreciate any help in this regard.

I am certain there could be if you have applications that send sensitive data in the URL. We do not. If you have some old application that sends user password in the URL ... I could not think of a case we had that would require the string to be encoded. So we removed it. The other alternative would be to decode the string store it in the session perhaps and the retrieve that out of the session. It seemed like a bit too much work any way you sliced it so we unencoded it. I am sure there is some security expert someplace rolling in his grave. I could not think of an instance in our architecture that would require it and it made troubleshooting issues almost impossible with "normal" tools when it was encoded.

Error during PDF post processing in HtmlToPDF
Hi,
I am using Web services interface to convert Html document to PDF. Works fine for simple html documents stored locally. However when using a remote html document (for example the one in the quickstart--http://www.adobe.com--I am getting an exception:
ALC-PDG-16003-16003-000: com.adobe.livecycle.generatedpdf.client.ConversionException: ALC-PDG-016-003-An unknown/unexpected error occurred during PDF post-processing.
I get the same error when trying this conversion from the Administration Console. I am using JBoss/turnkey. I do not have Adobe Acrobat running on the server computer.
Thanks,
JesseHello Ramya,
I am not finished checking but I did make some progress. Testing from html file located on the server machine, I use the url for file. For example if the file is named foo.html and it is located in directory c:\adata then the file url is
file:///c:/adata/foo.html
That works for me using adminui, and from calling the web service.
The example in the quickstart ( converting the default page at
http://www.adobe.com ) does not work for me just yet. Still get the post pdf processing error.
If not doing so already, check the server log to see if any additional debug information is provided.
Regards,
Jesse -

Hello group!
Configuration:
Oracle 8.1.7
XDK 9.0.0.0.0(beta)
We use XSQL Servlet scripts (great framework!). We tried to provide single entry point into our webapp. We want to replace XSQLServlet class, and gain control of our servlet environment (transactions, thread synchronization, logs...).
Problem is, if we replace XSQLServlet class with our own class (which extends HttpServlet), we can't use XSQLPageProcesor directly because it is declared private for XSQLServlet package.
So, we try to use XSQLRequest class and construct an instance with XSQLServletPageRequest as parameter and then call XSQLRequest.process().
It works ,but ...
When we attach object with setRequestObject (), requestProcessed is never called.
Why? We mist something?
If we use XSQLRequest (URL url), must we handle sessions, request parameters, cookies ...?
Where is the best place to put pre/post processing of request?
Thanks in advance
Tomi
nullWe found just XSQLPageRequest.setRequestObject(), that we already try to use (first post in thread).
We associate *.xsql with our HttpServlet because we want to transparently add controller object(s), and we want to turn this feature off in servlet engine config whenever we want. If we forward it (getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher().forward()), with same name and extension ...
Some code:
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
throws ServletException, IOException
XSQLServletPageRequest req = new XSQLServletPageRequest(request, response, myContext);
//TransactionController implements the XSQLRequestObjectListener
req.setRequestObject("transaction",new TransactionController(req));
XSQLRequest xsqlrequest = new XSQLRequest(request.getRequestURI(), req);
try
xsqlrequest.process(response.getOutputStream() ,new PrintWriter(System.err));
catch(Exception ex)
ex.printStackTrace();
return;
}When we call XSQLRequest.process, servlet response just fine (except we lost default encoding windows-1250?).
TransactionController is properly attached, but requestProcessed is never called.
We found why. Maybe?
XSQLRequest.process call createNestedRequest from XSQLServletPageRequest, and then setIncludingRequest.
This seems like little overhead :)
We just want to keep our XSQL Scripts clean from including controllers via custom actions in every page.
Can we do that?
Anybody tried something similar?
Thanks for your time
Tomi

The report attributes page has a section for External Processing with a online help of
"Specify the URL to a server for post processing of a report. See documentation for instructions."
I couldnt find anything in the documentation abou this.
Can someone from Oracle please explain what this is with an example?
ThanksOh Man that's really sad...I've been working on SOA for that last 9 months and just getting back into APEX. Carl helped me heaps and answered alot of my questions. I'm an oracle instructor and have been teacing/using the product since it started. Carl's name was synonymous with APEX...
I've just checked out quite a few blogs and it seems he helped many other people as well.

Modifying the goto URL - load balancer configuration
Hi,
I am trying to find the location of the display.template which I can modify to change the "goto" parameter URL.
Objective:
When I hit my loadbalancer URL "http://172.11.124.23/portal"
It basically can forward the request to ports 8080,8081 or 8082.
but I see the following in the browser after the redirection
http://myportal.domain.corp:8080/amserver/UI/Login?goto=http://172.11.124.23/portal/dt
instead of
http://myportal.domain.corp:8080/amserver/UI/Login?goto=http://myportal.domain.com/portal/dt
so basically I get the acess manager login page but after authentication it goes back to the loadbalancer since the goto URL is'nt right.and load balancer again sends the request back to access manager.So it kinda loops back and forth betn load balancer and access manager.
I read on the forum which says display.template should be modified to correct the goto URL.
I am working in linux env.I tried changing the display.template at the following location but I dont see what I want.
/var/opt/sun/portal/portals/portal1/desktop/default/LoginProvider
Can you point me in the right direction.!
Thanks,
Deepak.c'mmon guys...help me..its urgent !!!!

How to configure CF8 to process all URL requests?
Configuration: Apache frontend, ColdfusionMX 8 application
server
My Application.cfc defines a cffunction OnRequestStart to
check every URL (to ensure user is allowed access).
The function works fine for .cfm files (because the
jrun-handler specifies .cfm files).
However I need every URL sent to Apache that contains a
specific url-pattern (e.g. /secureMe/*) to be forwarded on to
Coldfusion so that the OnRequestStart function will check for user
access.
How do I configure Coldfusion (e.g. jrun-handler, web.xml,
jrun-web.xml)
to process every URL?
I've tried <servlet-mapping> and
<virtual-mapping> and even tried out CFFileServlet but I
cannot get Coldfusion to do anything with directories and non-cfm
files.
Any solutions and suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.Originally posted by:

I had gotten that far but ran into the need for a servlet
which I may need to avoid (see below).

Since I have control over the form of the links to non-cfm
files I decided to pass the path of the non-cfm file as an argument
(QUERY_STRING) to a cfm template. /secureMe/checkAccess.cfm
?/private/files/foo.pdf
Then the checkAccess.cfm template can do the work necessary
to verify user access to non-cfm files.

Thanks again, this is good to know.

I have the skills and have written many servlets for Tomcat
using Struts, etc. but the Coldfusion admin group likes to use
everything OOTB (Out Of The Box). When I speak of servlets they get
a glazed look in their eyes...
While I am quite comfortable creating a WAR file and having
the J2EE container perform the deployment it seems to be a bit more
complicated with Coldfusion (i.e. include the runtime bits and
deploy to JRun). I am not sure if the admin group is ready to
tackle something that formidable. Development and deployment of my
web application to the Coldfusion servers is much easier if I
simply send the admin group a zip file of components, templates,
css, etc. and just have them unzip it onto the server.

I tried and it seems that the AddHandler jrun-handler setting
only handles file extensions.
I read somewhere that the mod_jrun connector only does two
things:
1 - Pass the request to JRun to see if it should be picked
up by a servlet mapping
2 - Pass the specific filetypes (e.g. .cfm, .cfml, .cfswf)
to Coldfusion
Once again thank you for all your help and advice.
It is greatly appreciated.

Documentation on Post Processing Framework (PPF)
Hi Experts,
Can anyone direct me to some good documentation on Post Processing Framework (PPF) functionality in SAP TM. Information such as how the functionality can be best used to optimize with SAP ECC will help.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
HariDear Hari,
Post Processing Framework (PPF) functionality can be used to processing of printing of the documents related to transportation. The main print documents in SAP TM are Bills of lading, Freight forwarding Order documents, Labels, Pro Forma Customer Freight Invoice, Pro Forma Supplier Freight Invoice.
Please find the URL link below for accessing the help document on the same.

Post Processing a bank line item - opening balance
Hi Experts,
I need some help with post processing of a bank statement item.
It is a greenfield implementation where no legacy transactional data or opening balances are migrated. Therefore I've posted a bank statement with incoming domestic bank transfer. This line item now requires post processing as it does not relate to any preceding transaction / document.
The journal entry looks like this...
161012 - AUD Bank No.1 Domestic bank transfers = Credit 5,000,000
161010 - AUD Bank Account No 1 = Debit 5,000,000
I guess "post processing" is required to clear the account 161012 and credit account 161010.
What is the best way to do that?
Thanks
PuruHi Puru,
Go to Liquidity Management > view bank statements > Filter with your new bank
You will observe that a bank statement with ID # 0 got created and the closing balance is same amount what you have migrated.
Now you select new bank statement the ID will be 1 and the last bank statement 0 closing balance will become the opening bank balance in bank statement # 1.
Migration of balances for bank accounts enables you to migrate the current balances of your bank accounts. During migration system automatically creates an offsetting entry so that the document balance results in zero ( this entry is only for migration posting only )
Your expectation of again posting manual journal is not incorrect and is not required here.
Your migration of bank opening balance amount is successful and you can use this bank account for your postings going forward.
Kindly mark this thread as answered if i answered your queries.
Thanks

One or more post-processing actions failed - XML Publisher report
Hi all, I'm working with the following envinronment:
Unix platform: HP-UX rp1 B.11.11 U 9000/800
DB: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0 - 64bit Production
eBS: EBS 11.5.9
More in detail I have a problem when I run a request to see an XML Publisher Report. The request's status at the end is WARNING.....
When I click on "View Output" I don't see nothing and inside the "View Log" I have this error:

Anybody have any idea where the error is ?
Any help will be appreciated
AlexYou are right !!
The problem is inside the report generated by Oracle Reports
The XML code, which I retrieve running the report request is the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="&Encoding"?>
- <!-- Generated by Oracle Reports version 6.0.8.20.2
-->
- <MODULE1>
- <LIST_G_MANAGER_NO>
- <G_MANAGER_NO>
<MANAGER_NO>1000</MANAGER_NO>
<MANAGER_NAME>Anil Passi</MANAGER_NAME>
</G_MANAGER_NO>
- <G_MANAGER_NO>
<MANAGER_NO>1001</MANAGER_NO>
<MANAGER_NAME>Martin</MANAGER_NAME>
</G_MANAGER_NO>
</LIST_G_MANAGER_NO>
</MODULE1>
and the problem is the "&" !!!
So, inside Oracle Reports, when I try to generate the XML code from a preexisting report, the encoding variable is not set.
Now, I'm trying to understand how to set it, but I didn't find nothing....
Somebody knows where can I find a Report's configuration file in order to set this "encoding" ?
Thanks

SagarikaHi,
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /apps/oracle/DEV/inst/apps/DEV_hlt439erplap001/logs/appl/conc/out/o559655.out (No such file or directory)Most probably this file is not created (since no changes have been done recently, so definitely it is not a permission issue), and if there are any log files generate at the client side it should help in investigating the issue.
Thanks,
Hussein
