Authentication request repeated only on Safari

Safari has a problem with a certain website requiring username and password. After entering data and clicking send, the authentication form pops right back with both fields empty. It goes on until I get locked out.
Neither OmniWeb, Camino nor FireFox has this problem.
I am gathering data from this "certain" website, but, on chance, does anyone recognize this problem or can direct me in a useful direction to resolve (I really need to use Safari)?

I do not have an answer for your question, but just in case this is a Keychain problem, you may want to try Solving problems with keychains to: "Verify and repair keychain settings and permissions";~)

I am having from time to time some issues with an older MOSS 2007 environment. Sometimes browsing to manage Content & Structure ends up in a long thinking process which ends with an authentication request. A Timeout seems to happen. Whatever a user enters...
it ends ip in a 401 error. That does not happen every time, but sometimes. The rest of Sharepoint works well.
Let me first describe the environment. The environment is fully virtualized. The content db is huge - the approx size is about 1 TB. There is only 1 site collection and quite a huge site structure.
The environment as such
2 WFE
1 IDX
1 SQL 2005 Cluster
We use Kerberos for authentication.
The w3wp processes grow to about 1-2 GB.
We have identified that when SQL Cluster fails from one node to the other.. this symptom disappears for a while. I have no clue what this can have to do with the described effects.
An IISRESET on all servers sometimes helps, too.
We cannot identify any errors, but the issue is really annoying.
Any thoughts?

I understand that you are not able to log onto your account as it takes too long to authenticate, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that a service or background program is not interfering with your log in, I recommend booting your system into Safe Mode.

HT201363 I am receiving an authentication request at launch on my desktop. I am unable to satisfy the password and then it freezes. Uninstalled and re-installed yesterday and have same issue. I think it is a podcast feed, but cannot delete

I am locked out of my Itunes. When I launch on the desktop I receive an authentication request from www.podshow.com that I cannot satisfy with password. Actually i don't ever remember giving them a password. When I cannot satisfy the password it locks up my screen. When I went to the website listed I could not satisfy the password to even get onto the site. I am pretty sure it is a feed, how can I delete it and get back into my itunes? Service principal names (SPNs) are stored as a property of the associated account object in Active Directory
Domain Services (AD DS). I noticed that you have used setpn –X to identify the duplicate SPN. Please refer to following articles and check if help you to solve this issue.

Do you have Safari - Preferences - Security set to allow Plug-Ins ?.
If yes to all that - give an example website address where you have problems & say what happens when you try to view the video.

Error Event ID 11 The KDC encountered duplicate names while processing a Kerberos authentication request.

I've been noticing The Error with event ID 11 popping up a lot on our domain controllers:
The KDC encountered duplicate names while processing a Kerberos authentication request.
When running setspn -X it says that it found 111 groups of duplicate SPNs. However, when going through the list, it references domain service accounts that are used to run our SQL Server services. We have about 50 remote locations and each of them has 3
machines participating in a SQL mirror (principal, mirror, witness) and they all run the SQL Server service on the same account (1 account per location).
We haven't experienced any issues at all but I was wondering if this could cause problems or if we are straying from best practice. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

I believe what you should do to follow best practice is to provide unique SPNs for each SQL server, which will also provide increased security, and to do that you must create individual service account for each SQL server so it can associate that
account with that server's SPN.

Why does rss buttons in iWeb bloggpages work only with safari. xml problem?

Sounds like an OS issue. Perhaps doing the same update may help you. Or, perhaps trashing Safari's prefs and re-opening the app would help.

what kind of directory server are you using?
I'm not sure but it is possible that your ds uses referrals returns a referral to your client and the client does not follow them. Do you have any referrals configured?

Flash image expands out of container only on Safari browser

I have this test page where flash image expands out of the container only on Safari browser, everything else works fine (I.E,Chrome,Mozilla,Opera) http://itmjobs.ro/lidl/eu.html . I have tried to insert flash image into a table, the same thing happent. I have tried to change iframe size to very small 10/10 just for test, I don't know how but only Safari it brings full size whatever I do.
Can anyone help to fix this problem ? Thank you

You may not like my answer but don't use Flash. Most web designers gave up on it long ago because the world's most popular web devices (iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android, etc..) don't support Flash and never will.
If you want to reach a wider audience with fewer problems, use an image map and jQuery maphighlight script.

to set an appointment at a store nearest you, for them do do it.
Not sure how old the unit is or how it was used, charged, or re-
charged; but those are the kinds of little things that may affect
battery life or subtract possible useable Cycles off its life.
Some users of MB/Air models (and MB/Pro, etc) had noticed
a loss of battery capacity after an upgrade to Mavericks. So
that may be some kind of revision to how the battery is seen
by the newer OS X. No idea if Mavericks uses more power.
To see an expert or specialist about this issue, for advice, &
or test/diagnose may be an idea. Could be it needs a new
battery. How does the rest of the battery/power specs look?
Perhaps the MacBook just wants to get out on the town...

Why can't I scroll only in Safari with my magic mouse

Every so often I can't scroll only in Safari ( Firefox etc. OK) with my magic mouse. I can resolve that by quitting Safari, holding the option key while clicking on Go. This brings up library,click and click on caches. Then click on Apple: safari. Trash the cachesDB and empty trash. Click on Safari and the previously open window comes back up and you can scroll. This lasts an indeterminate amount of time and then freezes again. How can I fix this permanently?

I just turned them off. Will see whether this solves the problem when I can go for days without it freezing. Thanks. One question. Why are the extensions on in the first place?
