Authentication turns off on ipad
We are using Maas360 to manage our iPads and our proxy settings for the wireless at work are being pushed down to them but we are seeing that the authentication for the proxy turns off periodically. Anyone else having an issue with this?
Thanks!
Hello pisur2,
Thank you for the details about the issue you are experiencing when using AirPlay on your iPad 2.
I recommend reviewing the steps in the section titled "Troubleshooting performance issues with AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring" in the following article:

Mine always showed me slide screen when taken out of sleep mode.now it turns on to first app screen by itself sometimes.
That depends on how you have set up your Auto-Lock and Passcode Lock.
I have set Auto-Lock to 2 Minutes and Passcode Lock to Immediately.
If you want to try the same thing, then do this:
Settings > General > Auto-Lock > 2 Minutes
Settings > General > Passcode Lock > (enter your passcode) > Require Passcode > Immediately
If you don't like those time delays, choose the ones that you prefer.
This will of course not stop any notifications to turn on the iPad's screen, if your iPad is in sleep mode.
To modify those notifications to your requirements: Settings > Notification Center -
I have an ipad which is four months and three weeks old nearly. I have a message on it telling me that my macbook has been found. I only have to press

Sis. MavisYou should also ask this in the iPad forum. This is the forum for the white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

Option 1
Try force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Documents uploaded to icloud disappear when I turn off the IPAD
documents uploaded to icloud disappear when I turn off the IPAD,I can see the documents only when icloud is open on the PC
When you turn off any device, it will disconnect from the internet. My sense is that you're not quite explaining what's happening. Do you mean that when you turn it back on again it doesn't automatically reconnect? Do you mean the if it just goes to sleep (as opposed to being powered off) that it switches from WiFi to cellular? Or are you saying that you think that when you turn off the iPad, the router disconnects?
If you're trying to say that the iPad disconnects from WiFi when asleep and switches to cellular, the solution is to keep it plugged into a power source.
Best of luck. -
I paused the movie download but did not turn off my IPad. When I returned to complete the download, the "waiting" message has been on the screen for over an hour. How can I complete the download?
I recommend purchasing lion on a USB drive at Apple Store. This will avoid all of the downloading hassles.
Also, be sure you clone your hard drive first. A lot of people want to go back to Snow Leopard and if you choose to do this cloning will make the process very easy. -

Does anyone know what would cause me to start hearing a talk program of some type after hitting the play button after it had been on pause. Hitting the pause button shuts off the talking, but hitting the play button starts it up again. The strange thing is that the talking continues even after I turn off my iPad. The talk program was about silly or trendy news items, not regular news. It sounds like it could be a talk-radio program, but there were no call letters or information on where it was coming from or who was talking. The person doing all the talking is a male and sounds like he could be in his 20's. The only way I could turn it off was to hit the pause button and then turn off my iPad. I just got my iPad last week and had not had any problems with it until this happened. At the time this happened I was playing a version of Angry Birds that kept being interrupted by t-mobile commercials from time to time, which I had never experienced before. either.
Well, shut my mouth! There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.
Is there a name for this when you end up replying to your own aggravating question? That's what I did. Now I can go out and listen. It's only 91 degrees. Heaven. Thanks, Apple. -
Turning off the iPad screen when synchronizing with the iTunes
Quick question: How do I turn off the iPad screen when synchronizing with the iTunes. Is this even possible? Are there settings I am overlooking? Or perhaps a third-party app which can make it happen?
I have a large library and often leave my iPad connected to iTunes for several hours at a stretch. The bright glowing screen can be a big distraction, and, more importantly I am very worried about pixel burn-in.
Cheers,The iPad LED Backlit IPS Screen is not phosphor-based, so there is no permanent phosphor burn-in problem. You might see some image persistence, but that is not permanent and can be corrected. See this support article about image persistence: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2807
Since you have already converted your music to 128 kbps, you are unlikely to see any more 10+ hour syncs unless you have to do a restore. In that event, you could select the brightness control in settings to the lowest level.
FYI, there are some apps, such as Night stand HD that are designed to be used for long periods with unvarying displays and I have yet to see image persistence problems reported. However, since the iPad is still a new product, there may be some reports in the future. -
Hay. i change the screen LCD in IPAD 2 3G but i don't know what happen. She was working and every thing it's ok. One time i turn off the ipad and turn on more time, i don't see good in LCD the brightness is to low and i can see any thing!! and i want to know why is happen
Assuming you mean that you performed the repair yourself, it would seem that you either obtained a defective screen or you did some sort of damage when you replaced the screen. You can try asking for assistance on ifixit.com, a site dedicate to those attempting their own repairs, or you can take the iPad to a shop and pay them to try to correct the problem for you. Apple will no longer touch your iPad now that you've attempted your own repairs.

I am backing up my ipad 3 to icloud manually but it will take several hours. Can I turn off my ipad while doing the icloud backup?
You cannot turn off iPad.
1. You should enable iCloud Backup
2. Plug in charger
3. Put iPad on Sleep Mode
4. iPad will automatically backup your iPad
Note: Make sure iPad is connected to Wi-Fi -
Airplay streaming stops when you turn off the iPad screen
Hi All,
If you are streaming something from your iPad using Airplay, and you hit the button to turn off the iPad screen, it seems that the streaming stops...
Is there any way to fix that? I mean, if you are watching a long video, for example, you don't want your iPad to remain on the whole time.
Any advice?
- Thanx
- JonJon-
You are saying the AirPlay App does not work when the iPad goes to sleep. Other Apps do, including the Music App, so you might expect AirPlay to work as well.
Another limit may be the timer setting at Settings-General-Auto Lock. Mine is set to 5 Minutes by default. You may need to set yours to Never, to keep the iPad from sleeping while streaming.
I suggest you provide feedback to Apple at <iPad Feedback>.
