Authentification errors and timeouts!

Anybody else suffering again on the forum today?
I'm getting authentification errors galore atm .....
Will be bailing out soon methinks ....

Hi Guys
Really sorry you are still having problems.  I'll send you both a PM so I can gather some specific info about this error and when you are seeing it.
I haven't experienced it myself today so need to understand more about how and when it is happening so we can get it fixed.
Appreciate your patience with this - I know it's frustrating to get errors and timeouts when you are posting responses etc.
Thx
Kerry

  • OSB Customization files 2 set Retry Application Errors and Timeout props

I know it's possible to set Endpoint URI, Retry Count and Retry Iteration Interval properties using customization files, but what about other properties? I am particularly interested in setting Retry Application Errors and Timeout for a HTTP business services. If it's not possible to do with customization files is there another way of setting them without having to go though each service in the console?

Yes, I guess this can be done as there is provision in ALSBCustomizationFile.xml. Below is the snippet from ALSBCustomizationFile.xml

Hi, I am using HP11 and iPlanet web server. When trying to upload files over HTTP using FORM ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" that are bigger than a few Kilobytes i get a 408 error. (client timeout). It is as if the server has decided that the client has timed out during the file upload. The default setting is 30 seconds for AcceptTimeout in the magnus.conf file. This should be ample to get the file across, even increasing this to 2 minutes just produces the same error after 2 minutes. Any help appreciated. Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this, I couldn't see one for iPlanet and Web, many thanks, Kieran.

    Hi,
You didnt mention which version of IWS. follow these steps.
(1)Goto Web Server Administration Server, select the server you want to manage.
    (2)Select Preference >> Perfomance Tuning.
(3)set HTTP Persistent Connection Timeout to your choice (eg 180 sec for three minutes)
    (4) Apply changes and restart the server.
*Setting the timeout to a lower value, however, may    prevent the transfer of large files as timeout does not refer to the time that the connection has been idle. For example, if you are using a 2400 baud modem, and the request timeout is set to 180 seconds, then the maximum file size that can be transferred before   the connection is closed is 432000 bits (2400 multiplied by 180)

  • Powerpivot Report 2010 - OLE DB or ODBC error: Query timeout expired; HYT00

I have report already developed by someone in powerpivot 2010 and deployed to sharepoint in powerpivot gallery library. The data source for this report is SQL Server 2008 r2. I have set the refresh options in sharepoint to run after business hours during
week end. When I check the refresh history it shows this error message "OLE DB or ODBC error: Query timeout expired; HYT00. An error occurred while processing the 'xxx' table. The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the
    transaction failed..
I have tried to run the "Also refresh as soon as possible " just to check but same error message is shown.
This is the detailed error message details:
    03/02/2014 21:06:55 03/02/2014 22:08:15 01:01:20 Failed
OLE DB or ODBC error: Query timeout expired; HYT00. An error occurred while processing the 'xxx' table. The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed
Could anyone guide me on this issue? Truly appreciate your help in advance.

    Hi asritha,
I would suggest you take a look at the following articles regarding how to configure PowerPivot data refresh in SharePoint Server:
Configure and Use Stored Credentials for PowerPivot Data Refresh:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210671(v=sql.105).aspx
Configure and Use the PowerPivot Unattended Data Refresh Account:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff773327(v=sql.105).aspx
Note: Please ensure that the account have sufficient permission access to your data source.
In addition, please elaborate your PowerPivot data soure with more detail. If you are using SSAS cube, please try to increase "ExternalConnectionTimeout" property default value to see if this helps. Here is the similar thread for your reference,

  • RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'

I am having this error pop up very frequently on some new SAP systems.  This will randomly happen and keep us from being able to release transports and import them in STMS.  I receive the following error:
There was an attempt to start the transport control program tp using the local RFC interface.
    An error occurred here.
    Error code: 4
RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
    - When I check the Transport Tool (STMS: import queue> check> transport tool) I get the following information:
    timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456#Time
out during connection setup (check that partner exists
    - When checking the TP System Log I receive the same error.  The RSTPTEST report does not give any additional information.  SM21 shows a warning and an error:
    Warning:
Communication Error, CPIC return code 020, SAP Return code 456
    Dialog Process No. 000
Problem cl: SAP web AS problem
    Package: STSK

    Module Name: thxxhead
    Line: 7488
    Error Text: 020456
    Caller: ThRecei
    Error:
    Problem cl: transaction problem
    Package: STTO
All of these errors are only pointing to a time out.  I cannot figure out why this is happening.  I checked the TMS RFC connection in SM59 and they are fine.  I have been able to work around this issue in 2 different ways.  First, I can delete the files in the "\trans\tmp" directory on the server.  Sometimes this resolves the error.  Else I have to restart the system.
I need to understand where this issue is coming from and how to resolve it.  It is becoming more and more frequent.  Thank you for your help!

    Hi,
i have had similar issues during this week. After looking for a solution everywhere i found out that i didn't set up the FQDN on this system.
    Symptoms were:
    se38 > RSTPTEST timed out sometimes(not always)
sm59 > TCP/IP connections > CALLTP_WindowsNT > test connections timed out sometimes (again, not always)
STMS Overview > Systems: I was not always able to distribute and activate configuration from the Domain controller via Extras > Distribute and Activate Configuration (it died on the mentioned system)
Transports failed mostly with the same error.
The error log was somewhere deep in ST11. It could not resolve our FQDN.
The solution, for me, was to add our FQDN to the WINDIR\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
We upgraded the kernel as well (from 7.20 patch 046 to most current) but this didn't help.
The FQDN is a concatenation of computer name and dns suffix of the network (if you have none, you can add one via rightclick on the used network adapter>ipv4>properties>Advanced>DNS tab, so in the end the host file looked like
    127.0.0.1   localhost   computer-name.ourSuffix.com
After this line has been added, the error stopped and the transports work again.
I hope it helps. Good luck.

  • EVENT ID 30011 Error: 85 (Timeout) ReplicationType:LocalRegistrarReplication Source: LS User Replicator

when we are trying to move Lync users between two pools in the same site we received error that the move operation has been failed because the user is not provisioned.
we have two lync 2013 servers (windows 2008 R2) and SQl 2012 SP2

If this domain is not enabled for Lync Server, then this error can be ignored.

    Best Regards, Fadi.F.Haddad

    HI
I think you have several issues, First can you check weather you lync server is synced with Domain. this could be some stale entries of domain which may be deleted or created for testing purpose.
Can you run this command from Lync FE:   Get-CSUserReplicatorConfiguration and see the domains are listed.
You can probably deleted if some unwatented.
If you want o add the domains which you cannot find in the list
    Set-CsUserReplicatorConfiguration -Identity global –ADDomainNamingContextList @{add=”dc=Zubi, dc=local”}
    Set-CsUserReplicatorConfiguration -Identity global –ADDomainNamingContextList @{remove=”dc=Zubi, dc=local”
you can also check basics weather you DNS is replicating between domain and all of you front end server.

When there are more than two members in a cluster (stack), the Gigabit interface operates at half-duplex. Since collisions can result at half-duplex, some CRCs errors are normal.

  • Get_sqlagent_job_status long durtions and timeouts

    Hi,
In Reporting Services, ReportSever database there is the Get_sqlagent_job_status procedure. This procedure is calling the undocumented system procedure xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs to
check the subscription jobs statuses. In most of the times the execution finishes in milliseconds. In rare cases however, the execution is taking much longer and when it reaches 30sec procedure is timing out with the following error:
Msg 22023, Sev 16: SQLServerAgent exceeded the allowed timeout for
creating the shared job list.  The Jobs cannot be enumerated.
During long executions the wait type is MSQL_XP. Regarding msdn it:
Occurs when a task is waiting for an extended stored procedure to end. SQL Server uses this wait state to detect potential MARS application deadlocks. The wait stops when the extended stored procedure call ends.
My question is why sometimes the xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs procedure is running longer and timeout? I couldn’t trace on which resources or processes it is waiting. When searching the
Microsoft sites, I only found info that this is undocumented procedure and should not be used. Why then then it is being used in the ReportServer database that is being setup during the Reporting Services installation.
What can be done to get rid of the timeout errors from Get_sqlagent_job_status procedure?
    I hope anyone can help.

Hi. We have the exact same problem. We have put in all the notes mentioned here and more.
We have looked at the variant and have restricted it as much as possible, but we create about 30000 carts a month and some of them are not complete for a long time so we can not restrict the days too much.
We try to run BBP_GET_STATUS_2 for 90 day timeframe, as this covers much of it, but it takes over 10 hours to run.
We would then want to run more than 90 days once a week or something, but this takes 24 hours to run.
Does anyone have any more ideas how we can improve this?
I am thinking about stopping running the program and use a user exit in MIRO and MIGO to RFC into SRM and run the program for just the 1 applicable cart at a time, but this seems a bit drastic.
I have asked SAP all this but they told us the same as above, try the notes, restrict the variant.
    Regards,
    Dave.

To overcome the above error, many forums have suggested me to increase the time out which is under Farm level settings. But if time out gets increased, performance impacts as well.
So please suggest me to overcome this error without increasing the timeout. Thanks in advance

    Hi,
I understand that you get the error message when performing a full crawl. I have seen similar cases caused by IE proxy settings. You can try to edit the Internet Options>Connections>LAN settings. Uncheck ‘Automatically detect settings’.

    Hi,
Check out the below explanation for CRC error and farme error and few useful links to trouble shoot these type of problems
The CRC error rate is 1.75915% (greater than 1 in a million packets),
and the collision rate is less than 0.1%.
This can indicate excessive noise or transmission problems on the LAN or the LAN
bus itself. A high number of CRCs is usually the result of collisions or a station
      transmitting bad data.
TRY THIS: Check cables to determine whether any are damaged. If 100BaseTX is being
used, ensure Category 5 cabling is being used and not another type, such as Category
      3.
There have been 1599 'frame errors' reported.
This indicates the number of packets received incorrectly, having a CRC error
and a non-integer number of octets. On a LAN, this is usually the result of collisions
      or a malfunctioning Ethernet device.
TRY THIS: Monitor the level of frame errors over time. If they are increasing,
try swapping interfaces and or ports to identify the problem.

  • Output errors and interface resets.

    hi Netpros,
Any idea as to what could be causing output errors and interfece resets on the radio interfaces .. The output interpreter from Cisco does not show any information about the radio interfaces
please see this output after clearing the counters

    0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
    Any input is much appreciated.

Let's take a look at what you're worried about: 11,617 output errors divided by 21,236,022 packets output = 0.05% loss. Not really much to worry about there.
As for the 25 interface resets, that's one reset for every 849,441 output packets. Again, nothing really to worry about, but one does wonder why those numbers are not zero.
So how about taking a closer look at the following line you reported:
Input queue: 0/75/962/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 181678
Notice in particular the "Input queue drops = 962" and more importantly, the "Total output drops = 181,678". You can find detailed troubleshooting information about these problems at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/63/queue_drops.html to help you figure out what the actual problem is and whether or not it can be rectified by fine tuning your parameters.
FYI: Here is a standard definition of Output related errors: (taken from http://www-commeng.cso.uiuc.edu/uiucnet/reports/glossary.html )
    Output Errors
    - Output errors are the sum of all the output errors that occur on an interface.
    Out Success With Retry Errors
    - Out Success With Retry errors are output errors which indicate that a frame successfully transmitted after one or more collisions. Out Success With Retry Errors are the number of frames that experienced a a collision and retransmit before success. The total collisions divided by the number of Out Success With Retry errors will provide the average number of collisions per packet transmitted with collisions.
    Out of Window Collisions Errors
    - Out of Window Collisions are a type of output error. Out of window collision errors occur when a frame in the process of being transmitted collides with another frame. This error usually occurs either when some interface on the network fails to defer or the network has too many stations. (See Late Collisions.)
    Output Discard Errors
    - Output Discards are output errors that occur when the router has to throw a packet out instead of queuing it for transmission on the Ethernet. Output discard errors usually indicate that the network has more traffic than it can handle. They may also indicate a software discard such as no route to destination.
    Output FIFO Overrun Errors
    - FIFO Overruns are a type of output error. Output FIFO Overruns occur when the output queue in the adapter underflowed while putting a frame on the wire. This problem occurs when the interface is not receiving bits of the frame fast enough.
