Authorisation issue - the report is running and

Hello friends,
Need some help .
There is one salary report , which user is not able to see the data . It is running and running for 1/2 hours
and finally the message coming that action is cancelled.
I have checked the data flow and everything seems correct .
It seems the problem with user authorisation .
How could i check the User id authorisation for this specific salary report. ?
I am not aware about the more thing in authorisation.

Run that report in tcode RSSMQ with that particular user id and try to check SU53 Tcode in another window for that user id immediatly after getting error message while running the report

SU53 - gives information on authorisation problems if any (It is authorisation Trance)

Yes , i have excuted the report by using RSSMQ and with the user id . I found the below messge .
Full Authorisation is requiered for this selection option .
A displayed hierachy requires option .

Running the report in Bitmap and Character mode

Hi,
We have the reports which can run in both the character mode and Bitmap mode. The only problem I'm facing is font size in the character mode report. If the report is run in Character mode then the font size of the report will be greater. As the sizer is bigger, I'm getting the X symbol in the place of report. Can i reduce the size of the font. I'm using the font Tahoma (8 points). Reports 6i Version and Windows Xp is the OS.

In Oracle Reports Designer, bitmap mode, you can make "C"
bold and in a different font and point size than "c". This
is because you are generating postscript output.
Postscript is a universal printer language and any
postscript printer is able to interpret your different
design instructions.
In Oracle Reports Designer, character mode, the
APPLICATIONS STANDARDS REQUIRE the report to be designed in
ONE FONT/ ONE CHARACTER SIZE. Character mode reports
generate ASCII output. In ASCII you cannot dynamically
change the font and character size. The standard is in
effect so a report prints as identically as possible from
both conventional and postscript printers.

To see what reports are running, take a look at the execution log views that are available in the database. Which views that are available are dependent on your version of SSRS.

To see which application is using SSRS is a little more difficult. You can turn HTTP logging on, which will give you an idea of where connections are coming from, so you can see IP addresses. You can also look at the execution log view to see
user accounts. So, depending on your environment and use of service accounts, this could be easy, or difficult.

How do I find the report server name, and then run paper report from forms?
I am having a problem running report 9i from forms 9i (see below thread). How do I find out the name of the report server? I checked my C:\ids\reports\conf directory but don't see anything that gives me the name of the reports server. I also don't have a iashome directory.
Also, I just want to run the paper report (not the web version).

In summary, you have to create an external Reports Service that you can then give a name.

I had a requirement for the Query, when we executing the through slection screen we will be giving 0fiscyear "from and to" dates. the "Valid to" (0date) has to check the relation of the Client partner and contract of relationship, if it is within the current date it should dipslay the report with values , if it is out of current date, it should display in the report as "null".
Logic : This report is based on the u201CClient Partneru201D and the u201CContact ofu201D relationship. If any of these relationships have a u201CValid Tou201D
date set before the date that the report is run u2013 print u201Cnullu201D.
Could anyone of you provide the inputs on this.

Need to Build the report on Campagins and custom object 01

Hi All,
I am building the report on campaigns and customobject 01 ,But wen i build the report i was not able to get all the project ID that are associated to the campaigns.
The issue is when i pull the campaign id it wont fetches all the ID for customobject01 (becoz the relation is M:M)
Can u please guide how to build the report.

Hi,
you can try to add the metric fields to your report for all involved objects, like # of Campaigns, # of Projects and # of Custom Object 1. Afterwards you can hide these fields from layout. For me this has always helped.

I am trying to print on the footer of the report the report file name and path as well as the report last modification date.

We are using Crystal Reports (Product Version: 11.0.0.1282). We encountered with a problem while we are going to export report in CSV (Separated Text). The report Contained Cross-Tab. Its Shows the Error Message u201CFailed to export the report \n Crosstabs and OLAP grids are not supported in this export formatu201D. Please find the attachment with this mail having screen shot for the same.
We were able to export CSV (Separated Text) Format in Crystal Report Version 7 for the same report. Please let us know any way(s) so that we will successfully export the report in CSV (Separated Text) format in Crystal Reports version 11.

If your machine was made after 2009 you probably installed th wrong HD. Beginning in 2009 Apple began using HD's that had an integrated fan sensor. If you did not use one of these drives then that is the problem. You should contact OWC (www.macsales.com) or visit your local AASP and they will help you select the correct HD to use.

Key figure values vary each time the report is run by different users

Hi All,
We are facing a unique problem, here it goes :
Different users are getting different values for the same key figure, when executing the same query on the same selection conditions.Each time, user executes the report, he is getting varying values for the same key figure.Any idea's how to resolve this issue??

Hi Bindu,
One reason might be due to authorizations as discussed earlier.
check how frequently is the cube getting refreshed.
This might also happen that if users are running the data at different times and there is a cube load in between.
check for this.
