Authorisation of laptop

i started to sync my iphone 4 onto the itunes on my laptop, all going great until it said that i need to authorise my laptop in order for it to sync my apps. so i authorised my laptop and started to sync again and the same message came up again "your computer is not authorised" but yet i have just authorised it? so i un-authorised it and then authorised it again but still the same message?! so i cannot update my iphone until i get this sorted has anyone got any answers? or advise on what to do?

Check the list of Apps that you are syncing and verify that each is specifically covered in the Purchase History of that account.
Could it be that an App has been bought on a different iTunes account ? You can only sync Apps from the account with which they are bought.

Hi all. I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues. Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem. …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive. Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab. Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
Open the Users folder.
Open your user folder
Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco. The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”. Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear. Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?

I recently had to replace my laptop and now I can't sync iTunes and my phone - the message is that the laptop is not authorised and when I try and authorise it it says that the itunes store is currently unavailable - but it is available on my phone, and I have been trying for over 24hrs - it should be available by now.
I have checked my firewall settings and they are ok

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

ITunes authorisation and laptop replacement?

Hello.. I had to send my Laptop for repair but was eventually given a replacement laptop in return...Luckily I had everything backed up just incase, but now I'm 1 down on my 5 authorisations, is there any way to reclaim this back? I've been tryin to look for contact details for apple with no luck..
So far ive got my PC, Work PC and Laptop authorised however only got 1 available to me.

Sorry, but there's no way for you to deauthorize systems you no longer have access to until you reach the five-system limit. Once you've reached five authorizations for that account, there will be a button in your iTunes Music Store account information (log into the iTMS in iTunes and you should see it) that can deauthorize all your system, at which point you can then reauthorize the ones you will be using.

Go to one of the authorized computers and de-authorize it individually.
The one year limitation is ONLY for the de-authorize all option.

Currently my account says I have used up all of my 5 authorizations but my accounts only being used on two computers, i need to authorize my new laptop but first i would need to de-authorize the two being used. If I de-authorize them then authorize them again would i lose any of my music?

I've had the same apple ID for the past 8 or so years, and I've used itunes for a few laptops. I know the situation with 5 authorisations.
The first laptop I had, was the 1st device authorised, the HDD was repaired, so when I re-installed itunes. it used up a second authorisation, it didnt bother me too much. So I got a new laptop in 2009 and it used a third authorisation, and I updated from vista to win7, so I think it was the 4th authorisation used. I've just bought a new laptop and I thought i had managed to get it authorised, but when I connect my iphone to sync, it says I've used my 5 authorisations and I can't transfer apps etc, and I really don't want to reinstall them one by one. I have an ipod touch also, which I haven't used on this laptop yet, but my question is - I don't have either of those first 2 laptops any more, is there any way I can de-authorise those laptops from my account, so I can get the authorisation back and update my phone etc? I believe it's due a software update, and don't want to lose everything just cos of a case of authorisation

I am not able to sign in i-tunes match despite my laptop having been previously authorised

I bough a new macbook air 4 months ago. I authorised it to download itunes on the cloud, etc... Suddenly I noticed it stopped doing it. I then try to go to itunes match again and it is asking me to sign in. When I do sign it is telling me my computer is already authorised with an apple id and I have to wait another 27 days to change it. However I only have one apple id and no other apple ids have been previously or ever been used other than mine on this laptop.
When I check the list of devices authorised thsi laptop is not on it.

Sudden deauthorisation of laptop which has been authorised for years

Hi forum users, I recently downloaded iTunes 9.0 and since doing that (i think) i have noticed that my laptop, which has been authorised for many years, has suddenly lost its authorisation. When i try to play a purchased song on the laptop, I keep getting a message saying that i already have 5 computers that are authorised and i need to de-authorise them to authorise my laptop. My laptop is the 5th computer that i have authorsied with my account and i'm not sure what to do about it because i am unable to deauthorise the previous 4 computers used in the past because they dont exist anymore. Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Goto your account (top right of iTunes window), and if you have five authorized computers, you'll see a "deauthorize all" button for precisely your situation. I've never used it, but I have a feeling you can only do this once a year!
Then you can go ahead and re-authorize the two computers you still have.

Cannot authorise laptop with Itunes

I cannot authorise my laptop with Itunes as have used up my five allowance over the years. 3 of pc's broke beyond repair so I cannot de-authorise them, how can I rectify this please?
Also, I had Itunes on each of these 'dead' pc's and I have never changed my ITunes account, can I 'find' the music anyhow through my account?

I had set up my original itunes library on a pc in my previous home. I have left this home due to a marriage split up and now live somewhere else.
I have a new lap top which I am desperate to update my ipod nano on.
I have set up home sharing, and authorised my laptop. Unfortunately, I no techno whizz, and I'm really struggling now with this.
I have plugged in my nano to my itunes on my lap top and it is offering to either delete everything off my nano for what is held on as purchased songs from itunes - a total of approx 30 songs, from approx 1400 songs on my nano, or just update to show my purchased songs.
Help!! I'm getting to the end of my tether with this. Yes, I have read the tutorials and help through itunes.
Nothing is making sense or working.
Can someone please explain this to me like I'm a 3 year old?
