Authorising two Adobe IDs on one eBook Reader?
I have just purchased my BeBook Neo and downloaded ADE, authorised my wife's MacBk Pro and the BeBook to her ID, then went to my computer, installed ADE, authorised it and then in a moment of inattention also authorised the BeBook to my ID. Does this mean it no longer is authorised to my wife's ID?
When we're at home we'll usually buy or borrow books using my computer, but when travelling only her MacBook will come with us. This is an issue when we're away for a month or so.
Most likely you authorized the BeBook to your id (it's a long standing gripe of mine that I hope to fix that we don't have a way to display the activation information for devices in ADE ).
There is currently no solution to allow you view content from multiple users on a single device.
On the computer however you can set up a different OS user account. So on your MacBook you could create an account for you, and authorize ADE in that account on your AdobeID, and this will not change/impact your wife's account which is authorized to her AdobeID.

Can I register two Adobe IDs on one Laptop?
Can I register two Adobe IDs on one laptop .... and, if so, how? I think this is what I need to do; we have two Sony Readers and just one laptop. Any advice would be much appreciated .... many thanks.
Hello Jannette92
You can authorize to play his and your content but you are going to want to stay away from singing in and out each others Apple ID in the same iTunes library as that can lock out one of the Apple ID’s for 90 days. The best way to handle that is to create a separate user and have it just for his stuff and then use your user for just your iPhone.

How do I consolidate two Adobe IDs into one?
I have inadvertently created two Adobe IDs - one for my PC and one for my Samsung tablet. I cannot therefore authorize the tablet to read the e-book I have downloaded to the PC. How can I put this right?
Keith, we can help you, but there may be some confusion based on your use
of the term 'Digital Reader'. Adobe has two products that get confused
from time to time. The first is Adobe Reader - which is the one we use
most often to view PDF files. The other is Adobe Digital Editions, which
is an ebook retrieval and library management system. So, let's clarify
first whether you're referring to Adobe Reader, or Adobe Digital Editions.
Next, when you obtain an ereader, you register it with the outfit that
supports it - if it's a Kobo ereader, you register it with the KOBO
bookstore. During that process, you'll be asked for an ID. If you use
your Adobe ID, then your Kobo ereader can talk to either Reader or Digital
Editions seamlessly. If you use another ID, then you could have issues.
Then, there is no way to 'deactivate' an Adobe ID account. If you 'start
over' and establish a new Adobe ID, the one you set up the first time will
still be active in the Adobe computer behind the scenes.
Comment from me: We all fall into the trap of 'assuming' that obtaining an
ebook, downloading it into an ereader and reading it is straightforward and
'simple'. It's not - and that's because of technology, not the programs
themselves. Adobe tries to 'keep things simple' by using one ID for you
whether it's on one or two computers, and up to six ereaders. What we do
wrong is to 'assume' that we can figure things out on our own as we go.
Not good.
If the truth be known, we'd all be better off if we read the manual before
we did anything with the programs.

Can you have two Apple IDs on one IPAD? One for school and one for home?
Can you have two Apple IDs on one IPAD? One for school and one for home?
If so do you know how to do it?It depends on what you want to do.
You could, for example, have one AppleID for iCloud backup [and therefore message syncing, notes syncing, etc] and a second one for iTunes [music, iBooks, etc].
But if you are looking for a way to flip everything between different appleIDs, then no. -
Can you have two apple ids on one mac?
Can you have two apple ids on one mac? We each have iPhones and want to utilize iCloud. Is this possible?
No, in this case the 2 user accounts with its own Apple IDs would be completely seperated.
If you want to share this things like music and app purchases you will have to to something else.
1. Create two user accounts on your Mac (user A and user B).
2. Create two iCloud accounts just for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Photos, etc. (one for user A and one for user B):
On your Mac (with Mac OS X Lion or Mountan Lion):
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud > Create an Apple ID (button in left corner)
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (iOS 5 or later):
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > iCloud > Get a free @me.com address and create a new Apple ID
3. It is not recommended because you shouldn't share your Apple ID account information with other people but you could set up your old Apple ID as an account just for store purchases (Apps, Music, ...) so that everyone of you can manage the purchases in their own library (Access is limited to 10 devices). Therefore you have to setup this "old" ID in Settings of your iOS devices (Settings > iTunes & App Store) and in iTunes on your Mac. -
Using two apple IDs on one Itunes account
I recently purchases a ipad for my 86 year old mother. I want to also add music to it that I have cd's for. She now has an Apple ID of her own and I have my own Apple ID. The problem is this, when I log out of my itunes account and log in as her, I can still see all my music library as her. How do I see NOTHING under her account, until I actually load in music for her. Then can i sync her ipad using my OWN Mac and have it appear on her ipad? I have not enabled home sharing at all. Thank you!
Phil, I am confused about your statement/answer:
""Is it possible to create two Apple IDs on one iTunes account?"
Yes. I have two."
Apple says:
"An Apple ID is a user name you use for everything you do with Apple. Creating an account for an Apple service, such as the iTunes Store or the App Store, creates an Apple ID. Apple ID allows you to access other Apple services. You don't have to create a new account for each service—just use your Apple ID."
Thus an Apple ID is the same as the iTunes account.
Did you mean can yu use more than one Apple ID on one iPod because yuo know the answr is yes.
Or have I go something wrong? -
How do you create two apple ids for one email address.
I bought two i pads for my kids. Since we have just one email address, everytime I try to create a new apple id it says I already have one. They need separate ids so their friends can facetime with one and not the other. Can't figure out how to create two apple ids with one email address.
Donnathemom wrote:
Well any ideas on how to solve this problem? When my daughter does facetime with someone it says she's Wyatt. She's not real happy about that.
Get her an email address, even if she never uses it. They're free and available almost everywhere. The only requirement is that the address be a valid one.
Edit...
You can even use an "alias" of yours. That's a fake address that actually sends everything to you. Check with your current email supplier. -
For a brief time when iPhone 4, iOS 4 came out, many of us ended up with two Apple IDs. I want to know if anyone can please provide me with simple step-by-step instructions on merging two Apple IDs into one? It would make transferring purchases on iTunes much easier and reliable. I realize i desperately need an iOS update, but i had no laptop for over two years! I'm posting a cry for help on that in another community. Thank you all.
No,
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -
I have two Apple ids but one was a typo, how do I get rid of it?
i have two Apple IDS. One was a typo and I cannot get rid of the email. The right email is there, but when I go to update the wrong email shows up, and I do not know the password to it. How do i get rid of it?
What did you do with the Apple IDs? Did you download content with the bad ID? Apple does not provide a way to merge IDs, so if you did things with the bad ID, the only thing you can do is delete that content and download it with the correct one.

Typekit Sync integration with two Adobe IDs
Hello,
I have 2 Adobe accounts - not great, I know - because I work for an educational institution.
My school has a copy of Creative Suite 6 that we have owned since before CC was available, which works fine on my Mac with the CC application manager. I am signed into the Adobe ID that was set up with my school e-mail account (.edu and all that), which seemed appropriate at the time since the school owns the license.
I also have a personal Adobe ID with a personal e-mail account (gmail), which I have used to purchase a Typekit Portfolio subscription. I recently applied for and received early access to the Typekit desktop sync feature.
The Problem: if I sign out of CC (currently using my school Adobe ID) then I will lose access to the school's copy of CS 6. If I don't sign in with my personal Adobe ID, however, then I cannot use the Typekit sync feature.
How should I proceed? Is there some way to link my two Adobe IDs to show that they are for the same person, without entangling the financial aspects which are currently split between me and my school?Adobe contact information - http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html may lead you to an employee who can help

How do I merge two adobe accounts into one or simply delete one of these accounts?
Sometime ago I set up an Adobe Digital account when I was reading eBooks from the Library. I decided it was too cumbersome carrying a lap top around to a read a book so I had not used the account in quite some time.
I was given a kobo reader as a gift and as I downloaded and purchased a book it was not loading correctly in the kobo. The id in the kobo is different than the Adobe ID I originally set up. I was receiving a server error upon opening Digital Reader. I am guessing here but I believe it may be related to the Adobe Digital ID I have. With this in mind I removed the Digital Reader software, set up a new account and reinstalled the Digital Reader but it loaded my previous ID. I searched for a solution to deactivate one of them and saw a reference to emailing support but link did not take me to an e-mail address that I could see.
Please provide the best way to fix this issue. Reading books on these devices should not be this complicated and this entire 2 day process has been very frustrating to say the least. Please provide the exact steps to deactivate an account and set up the software with the new Adbobe ID I created.
Thank you

HT5625 How do you merge two Apple IDs into one account?
I have two Apple IDs (it's a long story) with mixed content. I'd like to merge the accounts into one account, in order to synchronize my apple products. How do I do it?
1. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff if they'll do it. They probably won't.
2. Because Apple generally doesn't permit that.
3. Because the content remains associated with your Apple ID when you share it with other people.

I'm new to iTunes, app store, and managing content on two iPads and an iPod. I manage both iPads and an iPod on one computer, but we have two apple IDs. All my music is on a home-theatre pc. I don't really understand home sharing yet, and I am hoping for some tips from experienced users to keep me from losing content, or mixing up apps and confusing digital rights etc.
You cannot share apps, or any other content purchased from the iTunes Store, between two different Apple IDs. Those purchases are tied to the Apple ID.

Two apple ids sharing one iTunes library is it possible?
Is it possible to have one library but for this to be shared with the family who will have separate IDs? Otherwise the only other way I can work out to download onto my daughters new ipad mini is to log in on our iD, download from the cloud then log out again, seems a bit of a phaff.

I would like to set up one account with two Apple IDs so I could have one restricted to only free apps and the other unrestricted. My daughter has an iPod Touch and I want to restrict what she can purchase but also make it so if we agree that purchasing an app for her iPod Touch we can. New to this Apple ID stuff.
Thanks,
BubbaGeeNo. Each account needs it uniquie email adresss as the Apple ID. However, yucan use more than one account on a single iPod and in iTunes.
To change the acount on the iPOd go to Settins>Store and sign out and sign in with the account you wnat. Also see:
