Authorization challenge.  Please help.

Songs purchased via iTunes on an old computer won't play on my new computer.  Already authorized the new computer.  I don't have the email anymore that authorized the old computer so I'm unable to re-authorize those songs.  Please help.

Error -50 usually has to do with Firewall, Web Accellerator, or Anti-Virus software settings. This article should help you:

    i tried what u suggested and my purchased songs still wont play. when i click on them it says you arent authorized to play this, and i have to enter my email and password. however, im starting to forget which of my two email addresses i used to purchase those songs. is there a way to figure this out? when i use my school email account to authorize them, a box pops up that says "you have successfully authorized 2 out of ur 5 computers" but the songs still wont play. when i try to authorize with my hotmail account, it says that i have authorized all 5 computers and it also still wont play. in my account setting window, it says that there are no computers authorized to my account, which is based on my hotmail account right now i think. im really confused!!

  • Toshiba Satellite L555 freezing up! (Tech Head Challenge) Please Help!

    It's been happening lately. My Toshiba Satellite(windows 7 home permium 64 bits) has been freezing up with multiple, thin, multi-colored lines with a noise similar to when a sound track on a CD sticks or freezes and no mouse response or any kind of response at all. I have to press and hold the power botton and force it to shut down. I noticed it does this more often when I try to play a video game,virus scan,video call on Skype and less frequently on youtube (youtube might just be a coincidence). Sometimes after the computer restarts and I virus scan or Skype then I have no problems. I think it happens when I virus scan or skype when I have both multiple firefox and google chrome windows open at once but I cannot be sure. I've tested the theory a few times but it's inconclusive however I am confident that virus scans or video game are most likely to trigger the freeze even if they are the only thing I have open on the screen.
    Sometimes I get that message in the blue box that says "Windows is shutting down to prevent damage to your computer....." The strange thing is that after I force it to shut down if I try to restart it immidiately then it will boot. All the lights will come on except the orange one in the left hand corner,the screen does not come on and windows does not load. If I leave it for 30  minutes or sometimes less after it crashed then it will restart .The funny thing is that I had this problems about 8 months ago when I tried playing a video game called A.V.A. About 2 minutes into play it would freeze with the same noise I mentioned earlier.I repeatedly tried to play the game and it happened every single time and everytime I force shut down the laptop and try to restart it right after then windows will not load and the orange light does not come on. I removed the game and reinstalled it and I never had that problem again.Since I got the laptop it has randomly restarted like 4 times and I've had it for about 1 year and 2 months but now it is just freezing up (mostly) or I get that message in the blue box. At around April of this year the game stopped working. I keep getting error reports when I try to reinstall it and my windows no longer recongnized the digital signature of the company that made the game.
    I'm not sure if it's overheating,I have a hard drive or motherboard problem or if it's a software problem. I've tried:
    System Restore
    Defrag
    Disc Clean up
    Non of these have helped. I've also tried using SeaTool for Windows to try to look for errors in my hard drive and it has not found any. I've also done that thing where Windows,with the black screen and white text, check through your files for errors and corrupted stuff but that report says that it hasn't found any errors at all. My computer has no slow down in performance that I can notice. It doesn't take long to start up nor does it take long to shut down. I don't get random error reports or anything like that. It works fine except for the freezing bit.
    The fan seems to be working just fine and the latop doesn't get that hot. Sometimes it freezes when it's barely warm to the touch and other times it would be significantly warmer but it would not freeze even if I have multiple firefox and googlechrome windows open. Before all of this when my game was working I use to play for hours with the exhaust at the side significantly heating up the desk and the computer would run perfectly without problems except that brief period I mentioned earlier where the game froze 3 minutes in to actually playing the game,reinstalled it and solved the problem. Yesterday it froze on me while I was on skpye and today it froze on me about 5 minutes after windows log in on youtube without the computer getting hot,just barely warm. I just don't get it!
    I've try using a vaccum to clean the vents without opening the computer. I've removed and reinserted my memory just incase they were loose and I've also removed and reinserted the hard drive to be sure that it was in properly and that has not stopped the problem either.
    N.B. I did do a virus scan with a trial version of Kaspersky Pure that I installed less than a month ago and it does say that I have a virus called "virus heur trojan.script.iframer" and a medium and high risk events. I've tried to remove or quarantine them but nothing happens and when I scan again with Kaspersky Pure or Kaspersky Virus removal tool they find no viruses BUT the trojan report is still there with the option of removing and quanrantine.
    As I've said before I've seen no slow down in performance and it works just fine except for the freezing and the blue box message. The only noticeable problem is that both firefox and googlechrome have been just a little,little bit buggy in that sometimes I would have to close down a window and reopen it again because the pages were not loading but that's only on Facebook and a few other websites and I thnk that's because of my internet connection. As I said, I've gotten no random error reports,not from windows 7 or my browser.
    Please help!

    It sounds sort of like it could be related to overheating, but on the other hand, you specifically said that it doesn't always feel warm. If you're okay with backing up your files, you might want to perform a full recovery back to factory default conditions. At that point, you'd at least know whether it was due to hardware or software.

  • Zyxel AG 225H & Mac Networking Challenge PLEASE HELP

    Hello, trying to help a friend join network already established at her house. Office is about 200 yards from Linksys router, Zyxel AG 225H "reads" network from office location, so far so good. Following instructions, downloaded Mac drivers fm Zyxel site, loaded Zyxel unit into USB port but have been unable to proceed beyond the Zyxel scanning for networks to join (which it seems to do endlessly). AG 225H is supposed to act as adaptor enabling iMac to join wireless network. But it's not clear what the next steps are. Instructions with Zyxel are poor, their tech support not available again until Monday..
    anyone have experience and can please help with suggestions? It's not clear if I need to do active configurations on the iMac in order to activate network.
    My friend only has 9Gb (!!) of free hard drive space on iMac which I think could not be helping?

    I hate to tell you 200 yards is a out of range for this connection the only way I am aware you can do this is to either run a cable or do the below to extend the range.

    I was using a prepaid creditcard on my iTunes account but I didnt know it ran out, I downloaded Angry Bird Space HD from the app store after that and now I have a certain amount I own apple because it failed to authorize the prepaid credit card yet allowed me to install the app. I'm going to buy an iTunes gift card tonight, will that allow me to repay the amount due? Because I don't want to get banned or anything bad like that.

    Yes, just enter the new card details and click done when finished. It will then charge the new card for the amount owed.

    Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

    I am working with XI Developers and Basis Team and we did updated all the Required Exchange profile parameters.
    Per this Document - User Authorizations in Integration Builder Tools - Do we need to update the server.lockauth.activation in Exchange Profile. When We updated, It removed Edit Access from all XI Developers in PI
    In both the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory, you can define more detailed authorizations that restrict access to design and configuration objects.
    In both tools, you define such authorizations by choosing Tools ® User Roles from the menu bar. The authorization for this menu option is provided by role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE. Of course, this role should only be granted to a very restricted number of administrators. To activate these more detailed authorizations, you must set exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.ib.server.lockauth.activation to true.
    The access authorizations themselves can be defined at the object-type level only (possibly restricted by a selection path), where you can specify each access action either individually as Create, Modify, or Delete for each object type, or as an overall access granting all three access actions.

    Are there any ways to check Whether Data Dependent authorization or J2EE Authorizations are activated?

    Hello,
    so to give you status of our issue.
    We were able to export missing business component .
    But we also exported some interfaces after that and we had some return code 8, due  to objects still present in change list on quality system (seems after previous failed transports , the change list was not cleared completley...).
    So now we have checked that no objects is present in the change list of quality system and we plan to export again our devs on quality system.
    Hope after that no more return code 8 during imports and all devs transported correctly on quality system.
    Also recommending to read that, which is pretty good.

    I had this exact issue.  Spent over an hour on the phone with apple support, they couldn't resolve.  Here is what I ended up doing, that worked.
    1.  Turned iTunes match off on all my iOS devices
    2.  Deleted the offending playlists from the iOS device they originated on
    3.  Started iTunes, let it run (literally) for an hour before it became responsive.  First thing I did, before clicking anywere else was disable iTunes match.  If I clicked anywhere, it would clock for another hour.
    4.  Let iTunes run overnight, by morning it had cleaned out the repeating play lists.  This got my Mac/iTunes back to an operable state.
    5.  Restore iPhones from backup in iTunes.
    What was causing my issue was a single playlist that was created on an iPhone, then suddenly showed up with several thousand duplicates on my other iPhone.  The culprit playlist did not, for some reason, duplicate itself on my two iPads.  Apple support seemed to think it was because the problem iPhone tried to sync the playlist to iCloud over and over again unsuccessfully, then it finally went through and populated the thousands of blank/failed playlists which then tried to propigate to iTunes and my other iOS devices.  Seems like a reasonable theory.
    I have not yet re-enabled iTunes match.  So, no idea what will happen if I decide to go back down that rabbit hole.
