Authorization Control for Transfer Posting's Storage Location

Dear Gurus,
Hi ! May I know is that SAP has any Authorization Object to control Transfer Posting (SAP R3 4.0B) ?
Let say in MB1B I only allow certain user to do transfer posting with P230 storage location, how should I control it ? With Authorization Profile?
I had tried remove all storage location P230 authorization M_MSEG_LGO from those user who are not allow to use, but sad to say that most of the user who allow to use transaction MB1B also able to do good receipt or transfer posting with storage location P230.
I had check those user's profile, actually in their authorization, there could not get P230 in their M_MSEG_LGO authorization object.

I had assign the storage location P230 to the authorize users, but the problem now was those unauthorized users also can use the storage location P230 to do Transfer Posting (MB1B) although I did not assign to them in PFCG.

2 questions: we are going to create a new storage location to make material movements:
1- We have to move stock between storage location.
Storage A(new): without WM
Storage B: under WM.
We would like to know wich is the best practice to do the transfer: MB1B? 301/311 movement type?
2 - If we decided to create a new storage location with WM. Wich are the recomendations or the points we have to consider:
Under the same Warehouse numer? A knew storage type? Wich are the activities in SPRo?

If it is the same physical Warehouse you could use the same Warehouse, otherwise a new or no Warehouse.
If the Storage Locations are near by and stock doesn't cross public roads and it's manually initiated, suggest just use a one step as it's the simplest process.
If there's a significant distance but on-site use two-step or if stock transferred by public roads, use STO.

Error in transfer posting between storage location

Hi experts,
while i am transferring the material from one storage location to other in MB1B by movement type 311 , while saving it shows the below error
Data for creating a delivery is incomplete (Vendor)

Transfer posting from storage to storage locn

Dear All,
I understand we can do the transfer posting from storage location to storage location through Mvt type 311.
The scenario is I have to transfer the goods from Storgae locn 1 unrestricted to storage locn 2 quality inspection.
Kindly let me know if it is possible.

There is no direct movement type. You have to do this in 2 steps. 1st with 311 for St.Loc-St.Loc then 322 for Unrestr to QI.

Storage location and post.chge storage location not in the same warehouse

Hi All,
We have HU managed Storage Location, and in this Storage Location we have SUT managed Warehouse, Now while Goods Receipt we have to create inbound delivery, which is working fine and i can see my stock in Goods receipt area,, later on whicle creating Transfer Order to putaway in a bin i have a error message "Storage location and post.chge storage location not in the same warehouse" please help me with this error message. Thank you for all your inputs.

Thank you for the input. I am receiving Stock from vendor and while creating Inbound delivery i created the Handling Unit and also packed it and i could also post it (PG Receipt). Now when i am creating TO i have that error message. The Storage Location where i am receiving is 9001and i have also maintained the partner Storage location,,, its like this Plant(1000)-SLoc(9001)-Partner SLoc(9002).... now the Storage Location 9002 is not HU managed,, the reason i gave this Storage location is, initially i gave 9001, but system said "Storage Location 9001 and 9001 must have different management systems". So now kindly tell me what is the purpose of the partner Storage location and which storage location should i give, as my partner Storage location across "1000-9001-????" thank you again for ur inputs.

Goods delivery error for transfer posting

I have created a P.O for transfer posting for a material from Plant 2000 to plant 3000.where in my account assignment I have mentioed the WBS element.
created the delivery document---VL10B and outbound delivery VL01N.
during PGI, system gives error that no WBS element has been assigned.I went to item level and in financial posting TAB page I could not locate the same WBS number in the filed, which is not editable too.the movement type is 641.
Please advcie what other things to check.

Check your delivery type which copy control and how this value is passing.I think through some routine it is populated.Check the routine in VOFM transaction.

Bapi for transfer posting

I have to make a move between storage location of material that is blocked with status (movement 325). For that I'm trying on the Bapi MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT and run with the same parameters as when I review the transaction MIGO_TR, but the structure EMSEG gives me the message number M7096 "Goods movement not possible with mvmt type 325". What could be wrong? and tried doing the Bapi commit, but still gives me error. It also showed the Bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE and throws me the same message. Please I am desperate.

Hi,
You can't use function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT for movement 325, since that function module is used for Goods Issue for delivery.
You should use bapi "BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE" for this movement 325 instead.
Passing GOODSMVT_CODE = 04 (for Transfer Posting)
The following thread has a sample code of above BAPI, then do adjustment accordingly as per your requirement.

The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location to unrestricted use in the receiving storage location.

313 Stock transfer storage location to storage location in two steps - removal from storage
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location to stock in transfer in the receiving storage location.

In the receiving storage location, the quantity is transferred from the stock in transfer to the unrestricted-use stock.

Stock transfer between Plant/Storage location to Plant/Storage location

Dear Experts,
This is a MM component of SAP Retail.
We have 4 brands ( Plants of type B, Plants of type C etc) that needs inventory from the same Distribution center (Plant A) for some common products. Here the direction is to prioritize the inventory per brand. The requirement is one brand should not take the inventory of the other brand.
To overcome this problem , the solution proposed is to have different storage location for different brands in the same DC.
When we run replenishment planning for the brands and do a ATP check, the availability check should consider only the one issuing storage location in the DC which we allocated for the brand.
I do see the following set up in SPRO and I have done the following.
Step1: Activate Stock Transfer between Storage Locations SPRO->Material Management->Purchasing->Purchase Order->set up stock transport order->set up stock transport order between storage locations-> u2018Activate Stock transfer between storage locationsu2019
Step2: Assign Delivery Type and checking rule according to storage
SPRO->Material Management->Purchasing->Purchase Order->set up stock transport order->set up stock transport order between storage locations->Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule According to Storage
Step3: Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfer between Storage Locations
SPRO ->Material Management ->Purchasing ->Purchase Order ->set up stock transport order ->set up stock transport order between storage locations -> Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers between Storage Locations 
Step4: Define Rule for Determination off Shipping Point SPRO->Material Management->Purchasing->Purchase Order->set up stock transport order->set up stock transport order between storage locations -> Set-up Storage-Location u2013dependent shipping point determination->Define rule for determination of shipping point
Step5: Shipping Point Assignment According to Storage Location

Click the detail button on IF_EX_MD_EXT_SUP
Execute GET_SUPPLYING_SL
There is a prerequisite for this BADI .I have done those things.What i dont understand is where to force the combination of supplying site/issuing stor.loc/receiving site/receiving stor.loc

Please try with this and do again Po for stock transport.

PO number not displaying for STO PO between storage locations in VL10B

Hi Experts
I have created a STO PO for stock transfer between 2 storage locations.
The PO has been created correctly - along with the "Shipping" details aptly.
However, when I execute VL10B along with the PO, the output screen doesn't show the PO created.
I have checked various discussions and verified the same. However, I am unable to create the outbound delivery for the PO.
Please help me on this.

Remove everything from the selection screen (including shipping point and delv. date). Just put the PO in the Purchase Order tab. Check all the other tabs, material, user role etc for extraneous/incorrect info.
Does the PO appear then?

The Sales org, Distribution channel, Shipping point, Vendor and Customer are maintained to created the delivery.
It is for the transfer of stock between storage locations with any movement type.
Eg: When you do a 311 movement type from Sloc A to Sloc B, then it will create a inbound delivery with the Vendor specified for Sloc A and an outbound delivery from Sloc B with the Customer specified assuming the customer and the vendor as the Plant.
You have to create a internal Vendor and Customer.

I want to configure Stock Transfer between 2 Storage locations.
I have activated the same in configuration but can anybody provoide complete details at to how the process happens.Is there any standard document type to be used like UB in case of stock tranasfer between plants,do we craete SD Delivery etc.

Stock Transfer between 2 Storage locations,there is no seperate configuration needed( like stock transport order b/w plants doc type UB), just goto MIGO
There are 2 options are there for Stock Transfer between 2 Storage locations
1. one step procedure movement type 311(from unrestricted to unrestricted)
323(from quality to quality)
325(from blocked to blocked)
2. Two step procedure movement type 313 and 315(only possible from unrestricted to unrestricted stock)
During this transfer no accounting document will generate because you are transferrring the stock within the plant,

You have to pass Header and GM code as the INput parameters for uing this BAPI....GM code would be structure.
Also you have to pass the INternal table Item for the goods mvt cxreate which will contains
      BATCH.
      MOVE_TYPE.
      ENTRY_QNT.
      MOVE_PLANT.
      MOVE_STLOC.
      MOVE_BATCH.
      MOVE_REAS
these parameters.

If u r doing through scheduling agreement then it will not sit in MSEG. only if u doing through standard PO i.e. NB then only u can view the data of PO in MSEG.
