Authorization Error after Downgrade

I restored 10.7 and my libraries and now get a message requiring me to authorize on this machine.
I fill in account info to do it, even though this iMac already is authorized. This only happens
on some tracks, not all.
I get this message -

we also used to have this problem with XI 3.0. After upgrading to jre 1.4.2_6 we don't have this problem again. Which version of JRE do you use?

If lobyfairy registered the product, it will be in his/her list of items under their Adobe account. It shows the entire serial number for each product you've purchased.

Authorization error after transport

Dear all,
I am quite new to SAP Sec, I have modified an existing derived role to add additional authorization and generated proflie and then transported to a other system.
But when I check in the test system, The Authorization tab has a warning symbol with yellow color and profile field is empty. Please advise, I have missed anything ?

First of all why are you changing the derived role directly? Any authorization changes should be done in master role and pushed down to derived roles.
Yellow fields obviously it would be open fileds. See to that when you generate all field are green. Then finally do user comparsion,then only the profile gets added to the user id. and then transport.
Note: Values need to come from Su24. In auth tab you should not have manual & change objects.

Error after upgrade to 1.5.1 : authorization / homelink is: f?p=&APP_ID.:3:

I have a application used for register to our workshops.
It was in use for a long time and works fine.
My homelink is: f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION.
and it will be called by:

Page 3 has NO athorization needs !!
I use a forms-item on my login-page where the customer choose a location.
login first time works. login second time I got page authorization error. if I click ok I am on page 3 but my
formsitem from login has the value of the first login.
If I use a user who can entry on page 1 it works ever,
and the value of the formsitem is how I choose it.
so I believe he has lost the info =&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION
This means first login works fine and goto page 3.
Second login in the same browser window fails with page authorization (goes to page 1).
I made a testing authorization for page 1.
you can try:
(1) login as gast/gast choose location=Hannover - you come to page 3(verwaltung) and see the regions for Hannover (oic=edith).
(2) logout and login as gast/gast choose location=Berlin
you get the error, if you click okay you see location Hannover.
(3) login as x/x choose location=Hamburg; you come to page 1, if you click tab=verwaltung you see region Hamburg
(4) logout, login as x/x choose location=Berlin; you come to page 1, if you click tab=verwaltung you see region Berlin.
Why : f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION. did not work ???

I have great difficulty understanding exactly what is working the way you want and what is not.
I did look at your app and I suggest that you change one thing as a first step: Edit the authentication scheme and scroll down to the logout URL. In the logoout URL change &p_next_flow_page_sess=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION. to &p_next_flow_page_sess=&APP_ID.:3
This will send the user to page 3 after logout.
The HOME_LINK attribute is used only in the builder to determine which page to show when you use the run application icon, and to determine which page to show when you don't specify a page in the URL for applications that do not override this behavior in the authentication scheme (as yours does). So the HOME_LINK attribute is not relevant in your application, as I see it.

Error -42408 after downgrade n iphone content unreadable

Hi,
I recently deleted the new itunes 11 from the apps folder, downloaded and installed the old itunes 10.7 in it's place instead. But everytime I start itunes, I get the error -42408 and itunes keep telling me it cannot read the content of my iphone and I have to restore it. This never happened prior to the upgrade to version 11 so I am thinking it's a problem with the downgrade?
Is there something I am to delete or??

What you need to do depends upon how you did the downgrade.
=Downgrading from iTunes 11 to iTunes 10.7=
You may be able to go back with Time Machine but this may involve restoring other items too (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20441404). Alternatively:
Back up your computer first, in case the unexpected happens.
Quit iTunes.
Get iTunes 10.7 from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576 or the direct download link at: http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-7195.20120912.d3uzQ/iTunes10.7.dmg
Do a few preparatory steps by making sure all iTunes components are not running and cleaning old files. See https://discussions.apple.com/message/20475394. Do steps 3 and 4. Steps 6-8 may be also useful but I don't know if they are essential. Some of the other steps are not necessary, duplicate steps listed later in my post or are perhaps even unhelpful in the process.
Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7. Simply dragging the application to the trash may not work. Lion (OSX 10.7) and newer systems have iTunes integrated into the operating system and deleting is a bit more involved. Two ways to do this are:
1. Use the shareware Pacifist utility (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to install iTunes 10.7 including all associated system files. Details at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16400819&postcount=6
2. Check this reference on how to delete the iTunes application itself:

After deleting the application there may be other files that need downgrading too. See the note about error -42408 at the end of this post. You may want to tuck these away somewhere safe until you have completed the installation of iTunes 10.7. I have not tested this but ideally if newer versions are not found then the installer will put in the old versions. This may include these files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ which apparently get updated by iTunes 11:

After doing one of the two procedures above you will have to rescue the most recent old iTunes library from your iTunes > Previous Libraries folder. A newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file so you have to replace it with the old one or you will get an error message. Note, this will revert your library to the version at the time of the upgrade and you will have to update any changes made since. See:

Authorization issue after the Support packs upgrade

We're having problem on authorization issue after the SP upgrade.
One issue if "You are not authorized to call up line item display" using FCH1 and FS10N tcodes.
And the SU53 showing problem on S_TCODE FAGLL03.
How are we going to solve this issue? We dont want to add this missing auth object on all our finance roles.

The single download means that you won't be able to redownload it from the store without paying, either on a computer's iTunes or an iOS device - it doesn't stop you from copying the audiobook to your other computers or syncing it to your iOS devices, you just can't redownload it. (I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time download.)
You can download audiobooks on your computer's iTunes and sync them to iOS devices, you do not have to buy them directly on the device (if you do then you can copy them back to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the device and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option on your computer's iTunes).
What you are doing to sync them should work i.e.
- connecting the iPad to your Mac
- selecting the iPad on your Mac's iTunes
- selecting its Books tab and selecting the audiobooks that you want to sync to the iPad and syncing/applying that selection.
You should then get an audiobooks option in the Music app on your iPad. If they aren't appearing there then do they show in Settings > General > Usage > Music on the device - if you have audiobooks on the iPad then they should be listed there under an 'audiobooks' heading.
By 'restart the iPad' do you mean a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could also try closing its Music app via the iPad's taskbar : Force an app to close in iOS.
And do a soft-reset and retry syncing.
I assume that music and other items sync ok ?

No authorization error in BI7

Recently we had migrated to the new authorization concept in BI7 after that, when the business users open an query or workbook they get the selection screen and when they press F4 on company code info object (Authorization relevant object) to select values they get an message" you dont have sufficient authorization" and the out put does not get displayed. but as an BW developer i am able to open the same report without any error
I checked in for authorizations in Su01 and su53 every thing looks fine for the business user.
Note: This error occurs only to queries having infoobject company code
Can someone help me out in this issue?

I am facing the same problem what you have faced regarding authorization error in BI queries.
when users try to open the workbook, select their options in selection screen and run it, they get warning 'you do not have sufficient authorizations'. when i try to run the same, i am able to open it. this is happening in prod.

Background: We had taken 1 year Netweaver subscription which expired in november and later on, we renewed it for next year.
Problem: We have to download the license key form SAP market place. But after login, when I click on "Request permanent license key" link, it shows me 'Authorization Error!
Currently you do not have authorization to use this function. To request the authorization, please contact one of the administrators at your company'
Can any body tell me what would be problem? Or what to do next?

Even though you have valid OSS ID, access in SMP, You need need necessary Authorizaiton to request License keys not all users by default can request it.
Gain the required authorizations and then request license keys.
To know who can give acess:
Goto -> SMP -> MyProfile -> Display my Super-administrators -> One of those admin should be able to grant the required acess.

PCo 2.3 Authorization Error while connecting to MII 14.0

Hi All,
We are trying to connect MII 14.0(installed on HP-UX[Unix] system) with PCo 2.3 (installed on Windows 2003 R2 SP2 system). Both MII & PCo servers are on same network. When we are trying to configure the PCo details in MII Data Servers using the link(http://<PCOServerIP:Port>/PCoManagement) , its connecting and we can see the Agents created in PCo. Also when the the PCo connector is enabled in MII, the status is showing green.
When we try to retrieve the tags using PCo Query TagRetrieveQuery, No tags shows up in MII and an error message is displayed. The MII Log shows lots of errors starting with "Authorization Error PCo". This error shows up when we are configuring the PCo details. To be exact this error shows up after entering the PCo link and clicking on Next button and entering the UserName & Password for the PCo system . Attached is the screen shot of the log error.
The user-id for the system on which PCo is installed has administrator privileges. The Net. TCP Port sharing services is also started on the PCo server.
Any other services need to started in the PCo server or anything we missed out? Is there any another service which needs to be activated for Web service?
PCo is connected to OSISoft PI using PI SDK 1_3_6_364.
We have tried applying SP's available for PCo 2.3 and still facing the same issue. In-fact we are facing more issues when we apply SP's for PCo. The tag list which shows up on PCo during Subscription Items > Browse, reduces and only few tags which are not required gets displayed in PCo.
MII Version : 14.0
PCo Version : 2.3

Sorry for the delayed reply. I already checked by ensuring the PCoManagement host and Agent instance services are started. I can see the status as Running "green" when the PCo data server is enabled at the MII end. But the problem is, no tags shows-up in the PCoQuery TagRetriveQuery mode. The logs start with this Authorization Error PCo "You do not have permission to access the Web Service". The PCo Server user-id has local Admin rights.
Is there any other specific service need to be activated?

Authorization error when logon to IB-Repository and Directory

Hi,
we patch from SP12 to SP13. At SP12 logon to IB (Repsoitory and Directory) work without problems. But
after applying SP13 to XI we can't logon to IB anymore.
The error is "Authorization error, unknown user name or
incorrect password". The user we use can logon to the
Server so password should be ok. And the same user have
been also used when we still have SP12.
We have cleared the WS Cache an do the Re-Ininitialize
like mentioned in other thread dealing with this problem.
But it doesn't help so far.
Login to SLD, Runtime Workbench with the same user work
without problem. So it can not be the issue with wrong
name and password.
Have somebody faced this problem after patching to SP13.
Our XI run on Windows 2000.

First check in RSSM whether your InfoProvider is checked for authorization object 0PERS_AREA. Also determine whether do you need this authorization object ?If yes, then it should be checked otherwise check mark should be unchecked. If 0PERS_AREA is checked for your InfoProvider, then you should have some value in this object when you create the role. Either * for all values or restricted value for it. Goto Pfcg select the role and add the authorization values for the 0PERS_AREAobject.

I am trying to compile a java source which is using session object in javax/mail/session.
I am getting the error java/lang/System: Authorization error for referenced class javax/mail/Session.
I used "import javax.mail.*;" in my java source..
I loaded both mail.jar and activation.jar using the below command in different schema other than the schema which above java source exists.
loadjava -thin -verbose -user <user>/<pwd>@<dburl> -resolve -synonym activation.jar
loadjava -thin -verbose -user <user>/<pwd>@<dburl> -resolve -synonym mail.jar
After loading, All java classes in mail.jar and activation.jar were in compiled state in that schema
Its working well in different database having the same configuration.

Authorization errors in IX2-DL

I have a problem with my network storage I recently bought.
I connected and configure it, try to store some data, try to download a torrent and everything works fine.
Till I upgreaded software.
New software needs users and admins to work, so I created my admin account in config pop-up window. But when I want to change users permissions I get message "Authorization error" every time. I launched factory restore on device with faith it restore the original firmware, but it didn't, so I got this message again.
Without users account I can't change files on discs - replace, delete etc.
Worse - after logout IX2 don't recognize my username and password.
On older firmware (originally installed) everything was fine, and I don't need any accounts to manage files and configure the device.

Are you able to access the web UI at all or is it not accepting your credentials? You can try the pin hole reset, this should reset the name and password. When you set up the shares try selecting permissions set to everyone.

The release notes clearly show the new firmware has the security always enabled. However, you may be able to contact tech support for help reverting to the old firmware.

ITunes Authorization Error

I've read all the posts about the authorization error when trying to place a song from iTunes into iMovie. I've tried all the suggestions on both my computers (G5 iMac & MacBook) with no success. All software is up to date and I reloaded iTunes 7.2 onto my MacBook. File Permissions have been updated numerous times and I've even zapped the PRAM.
I'm starting this thread to keep it up front in case Apple reads the posts. Anyone else having this problem, go ahead and post it to keep it alive until we get a solution.
I'm subscribed to all the related threads in hopes of a solution. So far, no joy.

I have had the exact same problems as stated. Repeated prompts to "authorize" use of iTunes both in the iMovie itself and again if iDVD is attempted. If the process was done(authorizing) for each song in DVD and the DVD burned, then some songs were placed in the soundtrack and others not. This also happens if I try to burn a DVD of an old movie project which had been done months agao and created and burned without problem. Some music purchased from iTunes store and others not. It doesn't seem to matter where the music comes from to get into the iTunes. The other prompt I've seen after reinstalling QuickTime 7.2 is that there was a "warning" about the project and that it should be fixed prior to burning DVD. The support people I've talked with have been very nice, but it seems that no one has a fix I'm aware of yet (8/1/07). Interestingly I have done a test movie in the last 48 hrs and the movie allowed song placement, editiing and saving project all OK. Playback on computer OK. DVD attempt and the warning appears, I did not attempt to go further.
As frustrated as the rest. Hopefull for fix soon. It used to work well only a few months ago. / Thanks and share fix if you get one

[solved] Opera & Sublime Text have graphic errors after system upgrade

I hope this was not already answered, but I couldn't find anything in the wiki or the forums.
Since a pacman -Syu yesterday, Opera (from official repo) and Sublime Text (from the AUR) have some weird graphical glitches:

(The menus in Sublime Text do work without graphical glitches, I am pretty sure they are drawn with GTK. The rest uses some custom drawing methods AFAIK.)
Other programs, including 3D-accelerated games, work fine like before.
I first suspected the catalyst driver, so I went to the wiki and read that it is now in the official repos. So I installed that version. Same effects. So back to the version from Vi0L0s catalyst repo. Did still not work. Then I tried the catalyst-generator package with the same effects.
Then I looked in pacman.log to see what was upgraded. I then downgraded the kernel and all packages that seemed to have something to do with graphics. Still the same error. Downgraded more packages and finally managed to break X11 :-/.
I then upgraded everything again so at least most things work.
I now have this kernel version: 3.6.2-1-ARCH
I am using systemd.
My graphics card has a Radeon HD 7750 Chip.

I now run pacman -Syu on my notebook. Both programs work like a charm. The notebook has an Intel GPU. So it must be an issue with the raden driver. I'll try downrading that again...
Yet another EDIT:
Didn't work. Here is what I have done to downgrade:
1. Removed installed catalyst version (installed libgl and lib32-libgl temporarilly so pacman would not remove all 3D-related stuff).
2. Downloaded all catalyst related packages from the Arch Rollback Machine from 2012-10-08 and installed them using pacman -U
3. Downgraded X and other related(?) packages:
# cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg

To find out, which libraries are involved, I executed opera and subl using strace and then went to a python shell to filter the output for libraries (finding stuff that looks like lib*.so, only catching the middle part) and printing the libraries that both strace logs had in common.
