Authorization for FBCJ tcode

Hi,
Is it possible to give authorization for tcode FBCJ (its FI/CO related) where one will have only save the data in FBCJ and onother person will have authorization for Post the data.
If Possible how to make can anybody suggest me ?

Hi,
It is possible to do so with the authorization object F_FBCJ. You will need to restrict the activities 10 (Post) and 32 (Save) for this object as required.

First of all, this is not the right forum to post such a question. Coming to the requirement, this can be achieved by creating a role in PFCG where you can restrict plant and assign this role to each user id. Your basis team can do this.

Type the name of the transaction.
Display.
And Execute.

Create authorization for storage Loction for tcode ME21N

Hi All,
     My requirement is to create authorization for storage Loction for tcode ME21N and ME51N.
     There are standard authorizations for Plant, Document type Group and Org for ME21N
     M_BANF_WRK, BSA,EKG, and EKO which i checked in TCODE SU24.
    But there is no std authorization check for storage location.
    If this is possible then please help me with the procedure and steps.
    Please guide me with all the steps that i need to take care abt..

If you start SU21, find the authorization object and double click on it you should be able to see who the author is.
Or you can findout through SUIM

Authorization Object for Z Tcodes

Dear SAP Guru's
how to find authorization object for Z tcodes
e.g. in our orgnisation we have created report ZSR( Sales Register) and we want to restrict user for Plant & sales office
so where i can get authorization object.

Hi,
Goto T.Code "SUIM".
Click on "Roles".
Click on "By Transaction Assignment".
Enter your T.Code here i.e. "ZSR".
Click on Execute or Press F8.
You will identify the role assigned to it.
Copy that role.
Goto T.Code "PFCG".
Paste that role here.
Click on Display.
Goto "Authorisations" tab.
click on "Display Authorization data".
Goto Utilities-->Technical names on in menu bar.
Here you can see the authorization object assigned for this T.Code.
But in general all the Z transactions will be in S_TCODE authorization object.
Also,goto that T.Code.
Immediately after this enter,"/nSU53" T.Code.

For Example User A can display this field and user B can't display

this can be done by basis consultant...
if u r missing authorization then...run SU53..and note down the object which is giving the authorization issue..
and then ask ur basis consultant that..assign that object to particular user role...

How to set authorization for BW Workspace in backend and Portal ?

                     I have developed one BW Workspace in development environment . I have some query regarding BW workspace authorization for access in portal . Some of the queries are as follows:
1) How many composite provider we can build up inside of one workspace that we can go by Tcode ---RSWSPW ?
2) After activating the workspace it shows in RSWSPW ,but this workspace/composite provider will be available in Info Area(in RSA1) or some area else from where we can see this ?
3) Now our requirement is like that -- we have to provide some workspace for SD power user ,Finace Power user & Marketing Power users, in this situation how can we put authorization in bw workspace like SD power user should not see the FI Power user's & Marketing Power user's Workspace rather than his own workspace ?
4) In our requirement, we are going to produce some bex query on top of bw worksapce composite provider . For creating this query ,we searched provider by puting provider name directly in serach option , but is there any option to search the bw worksapce related composite provider by putting info area name in query search ?
5) In another senerio, we gone to create BO AA OLAP report on top of bw workspace composite provider but in source option we cant see the provider ,infact we could not search the composite provider in search option in source selection ----   do i need to navigate any step in compostie provider to make it enable for BO AA OLAP creation on top of composite provider ?

List of users who have authorization for a particular transaction?

Hi All,
Can anyone guide me how to know the list of users who have authorization for a particular transaction?
I need this to find out the list of authorizations that are obsolete ,when the particular trnsaction is obsolete in an Upgrade process.

we can get the list of users for a particular transaction as below.
get the tcode and place in AGR_TCODES and we get the list of roles .
loop the roles and pass each role to AGR_USERS and we get list of users for that role.
finally we got the list of users for that tcode.

No authorization for this transaction with movement type 601

Dear All,
This is chandra i am getting this error in delivery level " No authorization for this transaction with movement type 601. If give the authorization for SAP ALL its working fine. If give the authorization for SAP SD T.Codes i am getting this error. Plz help me.

Check with -
T. Code: OMJJ
Select Movement Type: 601 and Double-Click: "Allowed Transaction" (From Left-hand side) .
Check whether the Transaction is allowed for Movement Type 601 or not
Note: if Transaction is not listed (i.e. not allowed) and you wanna allow this Transaction with Movement type 601, then -
Up-there, Tab: New Entry. Click on it.
Maintain entry as:
MovTy: 601
TCode: As reqd.
and Save.

Checking authorization of a tcode//

can i check the authorization objects of a tcode?
i want to assign a user with only a tcode not with the full role.
is there any way that i cud asssign a user with a tcode only with out creating a new role, cud i view some how what particular authorization a tcode is using

Akshat,
are you sure that's a good idea...?
First of all - use SU24 to check the objects that are defined for the TCode. Additionally, an authoritzations trace with ST01 will give you certainty.
If you add the TCode manually, you lose that connection. I..e, when you remove the TCode, the user might still have the objects, and these may be harmful in conjunction with a different TCode, meaning that the user will have access to stuff you don't want him to.
We recommend assigning transactions only via the menu, and maintaining SU24 properly.

Plant level authorization for Notification Change

Hi All
We have 7 plants and person belong to one plant is able to open and change the notification of other plants.
In the role we have given restriction for the plant for the Tcode IW 22 and for the object SWERK .In the Notification only Workcenter and Plant fields are mandatory.
How can we restrict for a user belong to a particular plant can only change his plant notifications using IW22 only ---not IW28

Dear gangs,
Check in all the roles of that user in orgnozation levels maintenance plant and planning plant.
It may happen in one role you have ristricted for that user, but in other roles it may be having the t.code authorization for IW22 and with other plant also.

Actually we want to go for release procedure for PR. but we dont have the HR module and so we cant go for workflow management. If we go for user authorisation then it would be like creating a new user just for the sake of this one tcode.
so im wondering whether can we set any password for the tcode me54n without restricting the user authorization,

'Authorization for replace' sy002

SAP System gives me this error in debbuging mode. I suppose it is something related to authorization when modifying the content of variables (which is what I was doing).
What would be the problem ?

I am not logged on and still dont know which program you are debugging... The system might be throwing an error message which does not relate to the real cause. Unlikely... Most likely an authorizations issue. If I may be honest with you (no offense!) if you do not know which object controls debugging and what it does to a SAP system..., then I would personally not give you debug authority in a system (I also do not have any debug authority - it was removed from my roles at my request). Only in some lab systems... (an one or two temporary exceptions).

Don't do that. I would reject the development and ask the developer to join you for the debugging session to see why those variables are incorrect. Your debugging mthod (or mode) may be incorrect (likely), or, the developer will have to go back to the drawing board in a development system or sandbox (sort of equaly likely, depending on the developer).

See above. Besides that, the developer should ideally have handled those exceptions so that you do not get an incorrect variable; you only get an incorrect output in display mode (and send their code back for a rework, or invite them over...).
