Authorization in WAD 7.0

hi ,
i want to learn if there is a way of authorization reports in WAD 7.0
and i want to learn how to make a role menu in WAD 7.0
it was possible to make a role menu in WAD 3.5 but i can not make it in WAD 7.0

Issue with Planning sequence authorization in WAD

Hi,
There is a planning sequence which I can execute through Modeler without any issue. However I am not able to execute the same from WAD. It says 'You are not authorized to execute planning sequence....'

You need to create one role in which add planning related authorization object ie
S_RS_PLSE     Planning Function
S_RS_PLSQ     Planning Sequence
S_RS_PLST     Planning Service Type
S_RS_PPM     Authorization Object for BI Planning Process Management etc....
and attach to your id.
I think you do not have authorization for S_RS_PLSQ.

How to create authorization for WAD in bw 3.5??

Hi all,
I would like to create a authorization for the WAD(web templates in bw 3.5) i cant find any authorization object for the WEb templates.
I have included the Wad in the menus in the PFCG but still it is of no use.
Can any one guide me how to carry out authorisation for WAD in bw 3.5 ?

Authorization in WAD

Hi All,
I have built a web template wit 2 web items(analysis item and dropdown box).
Infoprovider for Dropdown box web item is an infoobject(Marked as infoprovider).
Now when i am trying to open this in Quality with a different user ID I am getting Authorization Error for this particular webitem.
Can someone throw some light on this.

First check whether you have change authorizations for WAD, check you user name is added in the role for web templates and also check the authorizations.
then in the web template in the menu bar go to view option ,select web items and properties , so that you can find them in the left hand side, then replace the chart item with the table and assign the query to the table.

Print a Web Template with Web Application Designer 3.X

I would know how I can print a web template made with Web Application Designer 3.X and that it is in the Intranet.
Actually I'm printing that page with the option of the browser (Internet Explorer) but it print only I see, no print all the chart and the rest of the columns.
How can I print all the data that compose the web template?

How To create Authorization for a Web template in Bw 3.5 ?
I have a requirement to restrict a particular Web templated in bw 3.5 So that all the end users should not be able to access that template only a particular user should be allowed to view the template?
I cant find any authorization object for the WAD template in bw 3.5 ?
Can anyone tell me the procedure to include the WAD template authorization?
Should i include the authorization template in the Menu - in pfcg??? . i have added the template in the Menu in the PFCG but still it didnt work.

As you said, the authorizations for the WAD templates should be given in PFCG roles.
But you have to include the access/authorization details in the authorization objects. WAD templates have been created with including info/multiprovider, info cubes right.. first you have to include these objects inside the Role in PFCG.
S_RS_COMP,S_RS_COMP1,S_RS_MPRO,S_RS_ICUBE.
just assigning WAD template in the menu of the roles is to display when you login with the userid.
Please request your BASIS folks to do the same.

Authorization issue in WAD when executing planning function

I am getting this issue When Calling Planning function from WAD application using button. This authorization fail is happening in portal when the Planning function is executed.
Error explains that there is no authorization for component u201C!!AZF2PO_AGRu201D.Where as in actual we donu2019t have any component as stated.
Instead we have an aggregation level with technical name ZF2PO_AGR.
We have already Assigned the below Planning objects-
S_RS_ALVL
S_RS_PLENQ
S_RS_PLSE
S_RS_PLSQ
S_RS_PLST
To Summarize-There is a web application with button linked to planning functuion.When clicked on this button after execution of web template we get the above error.
Have found note 1000006,but it says Support package 12 and all but we in support package 20

Authorizations Required for Accessing WAD and setup an Active RFC

I an having problems for accessing WAD. It says 'You are not authorised to run WAD'. Does any one have idea of what authorizations are required to access WAD. I need to do the set up for information Broadcasting.

WAD - Navigation Attribute authorization

Hello Expert,
I have created a WAD report containing analysis and two dropdown items.
One filters a characteristics (profit centrum) and the other one filters navigation attribute of the same characteristics (resp. person of PC). Both the caracteristics and the attiribute are marked as authorization relevant.
If I run the report under my account having profile SAP_ALL and analytical authorizaction 0VI_ALL the reports works as it should. But if I run it under a test account that has a role ZBI_BEX_ENDUSER that should contain all sufficient authorizations to run any report and analytical authorization 0BI_ALL then the report runs also OK, just the dropdown with the navigation attribute (responsible person) is disabled (greyed out) with a text "no data". The other dropdown (PC) works fine.
The navigation attribute is even included in the analysis and all the values are displayed there and I can even filter on it and then the filtered value is populated into the previously disabled dropdown list.
Since I do not see any difference between the two users beside the authorisation I reckon that the issue must be somehow authorization related but I cannot find how.
Can anyone help?

You have to consider in ABAP code of user exit variable this:
In a DSO you alreay have the user name and vaules, which he is allowed to see. Just go into this DSO and read the entries from DSO with user ID as selection criteria. Example:
USERID     PLANT
XY     1000
XY     2000
YZ     3000
DSO name: ZOPLANT
iKey fields in DSO: UserID & Plant
Abap code would look like: select plant from /bic/azoplant00 where userID = sy-uname.

BW WAD authorization for stylesheets

Hi,
I'm trying to select a stylesheet from the list in the WAD, but the list is empty. If I have the SAP_all authority I do see the list of CSS files but without this I don't. I will be very pleased to know if there are roles or authorization objects that give authorization to see the whole list. Thanks

WAD - Authorization

Hi,
I got new users here in my company and they have several Queryes developed on Web Aplication Designer(WAD).
I don´t have any documentation about it, but when i open WAD i can´t see the queryes ...
But when i open the Link taht my user have, i can see them ...
Anyone know some function that allows my user to change the queryes on WAD, or the matter is anything else?

Well, i have those Queryes on the running on the production BW.
My users see them in this link:

When i log on WAD, i can´t see those queryes, so i can´t edit them.

Authorization Concept for WAD developers

Hello all,
We want to divide up the development and maintenance of Web templates. To that end, we want to restrict who can maintain which objects. For example, you can maintain the HR web templates HR* and I can maintain the FI templates FI*, etc. BW query development has something similar in which you can be restricted to some InfoCubes and me to others. Has anyone done this or know how to go about it? Any documentation or helpful papers?

BI 7.0 Analysis Authorization issue: some reports displaying a blank page.

Hi All,
This is regarding BI 7.0 Analysis Authorization issue.
Overview:
we have restricted some queries at infoobject level.
Issue:
a. For some of the queries, we can see the selection screen but when we try to execute the query by clicking on the execute button (Queries WAD) we get a blank page, meaning nothing is displayed on the output (white/Blank screen).
b. When we execute the same query through RSRT, we get a message which says "Disconnecting from BW server..".
c. Let me explain further on this. Basically we are doing this in order to have limited access to Auditors at the client side. At the same time normal users should not get impacted due to this, hence we created two roles. One for normal users and other for Auditors.
d. Now the thing is that we execute the same report with normal user ID's the report executes properly and displays the output. it does not show the blank page.
e. But when we execute the same report with Auditors ID then we get a blank page.
Any idea why this is so?

For your point, "rsecadmin - > analysis -> execute as -> check for the desired user & analyze the log" it didnu2019t allow me to analyze, since as soon as click on execute button a pop-up comes up saying "Disconnecting from the BW server..."
As mentioned earlier also it is giving me the below message,
