Authorization Issue on Portal when executing a WAD

Hi Guys,
I have a WAD that is published to the portal. I have added the WAD to a page via a hyperlink, the page resides in KM. When a user opens the page, via a URL iView, the see the page, but when they click on the link to open the WAD, I get the following error:
Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.
Exception ID: 07:19_26/02/10_0067_18934750
Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
When I assign the Super Admin (UME Role) to the user, they can execute the WAD no problem.
I am not an Authorizations person, so any pointers as to where I should start looking would be greatly appreciated.

How to always display waiting picture on portal when executing a query ?

Hi,
We use netweaver portal to publish our queries to users
This queries use 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template by default
Our issue is when a query is executed the waiting picture loading_ani.gif does not always appear and so the user don't know if his request is running
After several tests we saw that the waiting picture usually appears when user change values in variable screen
How can I customize to always have the waiting picture at any time a querie is in execution progress ?

Hi Andre,
Maintain your factory calendar idents Valid To year field (BJAHR) in Table TFACD
You can do this via tcode SCAL, or navigate through SPRO.
Most likely you have your factory calendars set with Valid To dates as 2010. You may also be encountering some load issues depending on exit routines used in transformations in determining workdays/factory days etc.

User authorization issue in portal

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with a user on a portal system. The user is not able to execute a query assigned to him,
I have checked the groups and the ABAP roles assigned to him and they seem to be correct.
Intrestingly if i copy the user to create another user, the new user is able to execute the query....
Any suggestions for what might I need to check for this user...

This would imply that an exclusion statement has been coded into the query as within the group of users who can start them, only a subset of the users should have a subset of the access... but the authorization concept had reached it's "limits" (at least for this implementation).
Bit of a silly idea if you ask me (in hindsight this is easy to say), although at the time it might have been considered "creative"...

Authorization Issue with AR01 while executing through a Variant

HI Experts,
I have a user who is trying to execute AR01 with a variant created by user. when user tried to execute it gave a message No Data maintained.
I tried the same with a test user giving SAP_ALL, i got the required data. so I ran a trace on the end user, there was nothing which i need to do because all I got on Trace is RC=0 i tried the same with the test user (with SAP_ALL) it also gave the same Trace log.
but why is it failing for the end use?
any help is highly appreciated

Issue at Portal when attaching document.

Hi all,
We have a Portal configured with SSO to SRM 6.0. The SSO works with SRM, but when we try to attach documents with SRM shopping card, a password prompt happens.
The SSO was configured fine. Still the password prompt is happening.
Any suggestions or hints would be really great.

Please check your authorisation . You don't have authorisation to attach a document.
In SSO it should ask for a password second time

Planning Stucture authorization issue in SCM

Hello Experts,
Need your help.
In our SCM7.0 system, we have implemented FM: /SAPAPO/MCP_PERMISSION_CHECK2 for authorization check to Planning Structure Infocube. That is working fine.
Now Users are facing authorization issue in Prodcution when they executed transaction /n/SAPAPO/SDP94 with below message.
Error message: You do not have authorization for all the characteristic values selected Message no. AUTHORITY041
Analysis authorization trace message: " Message EYE001: You do not have sufficient authorization for InfoProvider ZDM_PLN1 with activity 03.
We have assigned customized analysis authorization and that is maintained with InfoProvider "0TCAIPROV" as " * ".
Earlier this was working fine in production but now users are getting authorization issue. When we tested in other systems, it is working fine.
I appreciate your help in this issue.

Verify the selections in the Production system v/s the test system. Are they exactly the same ? I can think of two possibilities -
1. User is attempting to access a selection where he/ she does not have access to at least one of the CVC's filtered by the CVC.
2. The selection definition should (but does not in your case) contain the characteristic on which the authorization is setup.

Authorization issues in Bex Analyzer

Can somebody help me with an authorization challenge Im working on? For certain reports a user should me authorized to see key figures for a certain area and this area is divided into several units. This is the high level report authorization. But when they want to see more detail in the report (the can drill down the person responsible or the customer for example) the user is only allowed to see the key figures of his own unit. To make this possible we have created two authorization roles:

When executing the query with the characteristics area and unit in the rows and person responsible and Customer in the free characteristics there are no authorization issues. But when in the query result the user wants to drill down person responsible the error message You do not have authorization to read object XXX. I expected that the details would only be shown for unit 11. To be able to show the details the user must now first remove the drill down, filter the unit they have authorization for and then drill down the person responsible again. This is considered a workaround but not desirable. Is there a different way to solve this issue?

Have you tried to include a authorization variable on your report that filters 'Unit'?
I'm not sure of what will happen if you use it (maybe you'll always filter your report on '11' unit, or maybe you get different filter values depending on your drill down status, which is what you want).
It's just a thought...

I am getting this issue When Calling Planning function from WAD application using button. This authorization fail is happening in portal when the Planning function is executed.
Error explains that there is no authorization for component u201C!!AZF2PO_AGRu201D.Where as in actual we donu2019t have any component as stated.
Instead we have an aggregation level with technical name ZF2PO_AGR.
We have already Assigned the below Planning objects-
S_RS_ALVL
S_RS_PLENQ
S_RS_PLSE
S_RS_PLSQ
S_RS_PLST
To Summarize-There is a web application with button linked to planning functuion.When clicked on this button after execution of web template we get the above error.
Have found note 1000006,but it says Support package 12 and all but we in support package 20

Variable input values issue with Portal reports in WAD

Hi Gurus,
We have issue with our reports which are created in WAD and when executed through CRM portal. We are executing the report with some selection criteria by changing default values, and once we get the out put we use SAVEAS option to save the report to favourites. But the issue arises when we open the reprot again by clicking OPEN tab next to SAVEAS button. It opens our report, but the selection screen vaues are getting changed to default instead of showing the values which we entered before saving the report.
ex: we have fiscalyear/period: default value is 001.2009 - 010.2009, but i changed the value to 001.2010 - 010.2010 and saved the out put of the report. when i reopen the report useing open option, it is showing 001.2009 - 010.2009 in input screen.
Please let me know if some one has come accross this issue, or is it standard SAP behaviour. It is working fine when executed through Query designer. This is not related to personlization of variabl.es.

Authorization issue to execute query via analyzer

Dear,
We are experiencing an authorization issue that we can not solve...
We have grant to user the expected objects to execute query (S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1) and the central objects like S_GUI, S_USER_AGR.
When we test in RESCEADMIN, everything is fine. We can execute the query.
When we test it in the analyzer, the variable screen does not pop-up and we get the error message:
"There is no variable in the workbook, which allows user input"
Does anybody have a direction to help us to orientate our investigation?

Authorization Issue when Broadcasting a Web Template

Hello All,
we want to broadcast a WebTemplate as an Online Link.
The User can Broadcast Queries and so on without issues.
But when they try to send a WebTemplate, they get an Authorization Error RSRD 003.
"You do not have authorization to display the requested object (for example, Web template, query....). Thats why it is also not possible to load broadcast settings into the broadcaster for the object."
It is not clear for me as the users are not allowed to schedule broadcast settings, but they can send ad hoc.
So what can I do?

Authorization error: Notification Number RSRD 003
If your issue is workbook based and you run..
TX: rsrt2

and get an authorization error: Notification Number RSRD 003
Then you do not have the correct role assigned to your test user to see this workbook
if this is the case proceed as follows:
in tx: se37
function module..... RSBB_WORKBOOK_AGR_GET
select the test icon
enter your workbook id in the field: wkbid
execute
double click on the entry
result= the missing role
The missing role is the one that you need to assign to your test user to be able to proceed.

Unable to view Variables when executing WAD Template in Browser

Hello Experts,
I have designed a Template in WAD and the Query that was attached to the Template has 4 variables, but when i am Executing in Browser i am able to seen only 2 variables, Please let me know what is that Option to be checked so that i can view all my 4 variables in Browser screen.

Yes the ready for input option is checked for all the variables. Now i am able to view all my variables what i have done is when executing WAD in browser, there is an Option ALL to be checked, then all the variables will be displayed.

Please check your portal runtime server is running or not. (Management Console)
I have experienced the same error , when our portal runtime server was stopped. I just restarted it. and problem solved.

Page cannot be displayed error when executing WAD

Hi all,
I'm getting this error (Page cannot be displayed) when i execute my WAD. What is curious is that i can execute it ok i some machines, but some others get the error.
Anyone knows what could be causing this?
I've tried in different machines, all with Win XP sp2 and IE6 browser... and remains the same: some execute the WAD ok, some don't.
I'll appreciate any help on this.

I had the same error and was a PROXY problem....
I fix it setting in IE connetions the access to HTTP://MYSERVER/...ETC....in LAN Configuration->advanced options in IE....it works fine for me....

Error when Executing the Report - No Authorization for Multiprovider

Hello Experts,
After the upgrade has carried out in my Quality system, I'm unable to execute a query because of the authorization issue with Multiprovider. But earlier the same Authorization was assigned to the my ID.
The Role in Q and the Role in P is same. Right now P is with 3.1 and Q is with BI7.
In both the system I have the same Role. But in Q it says that: Error You have no Authorization for Multiprovider XXXX
This is happening for only one Multiprovider in Quality system. There is no change in the Multiprovider from earlier structure to the present structure.
Can anyone give me any idea as to how to solve this issue?

Ok,
Pick up a test user (or your user) and go to transaction su01.
Check the roles that are assigned.
Double-click in each one and choose display. Go to tab authorizations and click on the glasses icon of displaying authorizations data. Then go to menu->Utilities->Technical names On.
You should see the tree with the node name Business Information Warehouse (technical name RS), if you don't see this in this role, than the issue it's not in this role, go back to su01 and check another role the same process until you find this node.
If you expand this node you'll see another nodes, one of them is called Data Warehousing Workbench - InfoCube (technical name S_RS_ICUBE). And you probably can't find another node called Data Warehousing Workbench - MultiProvider (technical name S_RS_MPRO), this is the new node you want.
In the node S_RS_ICUBE expand it and you'll see the authorizations given to InfoCubes with activity, InfoArea and InfoCube. In the older system BW 3.x this object was used to give access to InfoCubes, but also to MultiCubes. So you have to find the role that has this object with InfoCube with the value of MultiCube or with all values, for example, you could have this node in your role with the following values:

The first example give access to specific InfoCubes and one MultiCube, the second one you'll have all the InfoCubes and MultiCubes inside the InfoArea started with name ZFI and the third one you'll have all InfoCubes and all MultiCubes started with name ZFI that belongs to the InfoArea started with name ZFI also.

So in BI 7 MultiCubes are now controlled by the new object S_RS_MPRO instead of the older object S_RS_ICUBE. What you should do is go to transaction pfcg and insert the role you want to include (or change these new values, i.e., the role that has the access to the MultiCube values inside the object S_RS_ICUBE which the query is built on) the new object S_RS_MPRO and click on change. Go to tab authorizations and click on change authorization data. Then click on manually (ctrlshiftF9) and insert the object S_RS_MPRO. Inside this new object you should insert the authorization data for accessing your multiproviders.
In the 3 examples above you should create these 3 entries:

MultiProvider Subobject DATA
or with:

MultiProvider                  *

Therefore you continue to have the object S_RS_ICUBE to control only the InfoProviders plus the new object S_RS_MPRO to control the MultiProviders.
Now generate the profile(s), save the role(s) and test it again!
