Can you please tell me how do I know which all AUTHORIZATION OBJECTS are assigned to a T-Code.

Hi,
i have to maintain authorization objects in transaction types and users in our company, such that the executives (management of all org. units) of the company are able to see all the transactions including activities within the whole company.
on the other hand the employees (not executives, belonging to a specific org unit) should be able to see ONLY the transactions belonging to his org. unit

Authorization Object assigned to an User

Hi
I am working on a development where I have to identify value of authorization object assigned to an user. This user will be assigned to org plan, to which a business role will be assigned.
Is there any standard FM or table linkage logic that I can use?
I have found FM SUSR_USER_AUTH_FOR_OBJ_GET but it seems that it is relevant from GUI perspective.

Hi,
Please use transaction code SU56, switch to the user in question.
You can see all objects or the required object and assignment of values to the user.

Authorization object assigning to user profile

Hi all,
Wht are the steps involved in assigning authorization object S_GUI with activity 60 (S_GUI ACTVT=60) to the users profile.

you can assign authorization profile to user through Role..
goto PFCG, either create a new role or change an existing role(which the user has)
go to authorization tab, change authorization, click manually button,
add S_GUI and then click on values, select 60.. save the role, generate it..
if it is new role that you have created, then go to SU01 - roles, add it.. save user..

New Authorization objects When Adding New tcodes

Hi Guys
I have two Identical R3 Productiosn Systems One is Called Prd and the Othe RPP.
When Going into Pfcg on PRD and adding A tocde I.e Mi02. It already has mi01 and mi03.the authorization tab chnages from green to Yellow,.When Going into The Authorization Tab,( option change authoirazation tab), there aer new authoiration object that has a yellwo status and needs to be filled in.
When doing the same i.e go into Pfcg on RPP and adding A tocde I.e Mi02. It already has mi01 and mi03.the authorization tab chnages from green to Yellow,.But when Going into The Authorization Tab,( option change authoirazation tab), there are no new authorization object that has a yellwo status They are all greeen, but there are some with status updated.This looks right.
Am I doing anything wrong,.I have not tried to go into the authorizatin tab with the expert option.

Did you check the objects before adding MI02?
Check with SU24 for objects in PRD and RPP if you have same objects then check as below.
Check what new objects are comming up in PRD.
Check for the Additional T-codes which are having the new objects which are populating in PRD. if you have additional T-codes in PRD, then their may be chances of new objects populating
If you check in authorization tab options with expert mode and choose merge with new data this might reslove the issue.

Authorization Object for Z Tcodes

Dear SAP Guru's
how to find authorization object for Z tcodes
e.g. in our orgnisation we have created report ZSR( Sales Register) and we want to restrict user for Plant & sales office
so where i can get authorization object.

Hi,
Goto T.Code "SUIM".
Click on "Roles".
Click on "By Transaction Assignment".
Enter your T.Code here i.e. "ZSR".
Click on Execute or Press F8.
You will identify the role assigned to it.
Copy that role.
Goto T.Code "PFCG".
Paste that role here.
Click on Display.
Goto "Authorisations" tab.
click on "Display Authorization data".
Goto Utilities-->Technical names on in menu bar.
Here you can see the authorization object assigned for this T.Code.
But in general all the Z transactions will be in S_TCODE authorization object.
Also,goto that T.Code.
Immediately after this enter,"/nSU53" T.Code.

Authorization Objects in Transaction codes

we are trying to make Authorization Matrix for users authorizations , so what i need to know if is there any way i can get template list includes Tcodes and the Authorization objects corresponding to each Tcode , it will be a lot easier to make the roles .
please if anyone can advice how i can get the tcode list with its objects it will be great.

Authorization Matrix - Not any table / programme will work for you in this case, you better maintain below checklist :
1) Gather company data : Organization Structure HR will help you in this. (you need to get all details on Organization values such as Company Code, Plant, Purchasing / Sales Organization etc.,
2) Prepare a sheet for every module (PP,MM,SD,FI,CO,HR etc.,)
3) Study the Organization structure & Identify the Job responsibility of the person in current organization & what function he / she will do in SAP.
4) A sheet contains T-codes & description (you can get list of tcodes from respective functional consultant), Role Name, Activity - create/change/display et.,
5) Don't add all t-codes Ex- PP : Add only those tcodes access by you users : End or Core users. Sometime it doesn;t make sense to give create / change / delete t-codes to a user who's only responsible for doing data entry job or a user who is responsible only for creating materials not approving / sending.
6) Make a sheet that maps you users to role
7) Always review / approve your Matirx from respective Functional Head, as a BASIS we can't take decision on Functional side.
8) Always test you roles in DEV / QAS (training client) assigned to a test user by your functional cunsultant.
9) Always remember of cross functionality authorizations (like some time they may

I gather above points from my experience where I was involved in designing Matrix, It can be defferent depends upon the organization.

The combination of authorization fields that represent data and activities is used for authorization assignment and authorization check. Authorization objects are combined organizationally in authorization classes. To maintain them, use transaction code SU21.

Authorization object to restrict a particular customer code in a sales org

Hi,
I have a requirement whereby a sap user who is assigned to Sales organization A needs to access a particular customer from sales organization B. However the sap user has no access to sales organization B. However the requirement is such that the sap user cannot be given access to all the customers in Sales organization B. He must only access one particular customer from Sales organization B and not all the customers in Sales organization B.
The problem here is if we give the sap user access to Sales organization B, then the sap user can access all the customers in Sales organization B. So how can we give access only to a particular customer in the Sales organization B?
Is there any authorization object which can accomplish this?

Intervals not working in Creating the Authorization Object

Hi All,
I am currently working on Authorization.We have created the Z Authorization object by using the TCODE RSECADMIN.After clicking the maintaince button, the set of Info Objects are displayed. I have entered the hardcoded values for employee responsible Info Object.
For Example
Employee responsible No = 10 to 20.
I have created the Role by using the TCODE PFCG.I have given my created Z Authorization object and assigned the User.
After doing this,I am checking for the specific User. After running the query, for the particular user, the data is displaying for the Info object "Employee responsible =10." For Other Values ie) 11 to 20. is not displaying in the report.
Can you please guide me how to solve this issue.

We also had the same issue. Its a program bug, as suggested by SAP applied following note to resolve the issue.

Authorization Objects for pricing conditions in Sales Order

In transaction VA03, we should restrict some users not to see pricing conditions tab in header and item level and net value on overview screen.

i have not done this exact limitation before, but I hope this method will help.You can look up the list of all authorization objects linked to the tcode in transaction SU22.
You can also get this by doing a user trace in ST01; and displaying the pricing condition.
once you have a rough idea, you can do a trial and error with the values inside these objects and see which one works.

Problem in transporting authorization object

Hi,
I am facing a problem in transporting the authorization object. We have an existing cube in development and production. In production the object has 3 authorization objects checked. Now I want to change the authorization object assignment in my cube. So I changed the assignment in the development, but when I tried to transport the authorization object it collected all the cubes where the authorization object is used.
I want to transport only the authorization object associated with that cube, not all. I understand that logically if we are transporting the authorization object from RSSM, it takes all the assignments. But I don't want to do that because there may be some inconsistencies between the system.
Can you tell me weather we have any other way, so that the authorization object is transported only for one particular cube assignment not all.

I tried that but not getting anything.
Can you please tell me the steps.
Steps I have done are as follows.
1. Go to RSSM and select the authorization object.
2. We have a button which says transport authorization object. I clicked on that.
3. I got a list of all the authorization objects there. I selected my authorization objects and clicked on Transfer Object button.
4. Then I get the hierarchy authorization objects.
5. After that I selected a request and everything is included in that request. I didn't got your above mentioned option.
Do you want me to go to the table RSSTOBJDIR and delete all the other entries??
It would be great if you can tell me the steps to do that.

T-code: SUIM --> roles -->roles by authrorization object
Enter authorization object --> Execute
Double click on roles --> Click on user

Copying values of a singular authorization object between roles?

Suppose I have an authorization object assigned to a role and its fields hold a large amount of data (say S_TCODE with a lot of transaction codes specified via ranges). Suppose further that I want to have this same object with this same data in another role. The other objects of the two roles are different and I'd rather not type the large amount of data into the authorization object again.
Is there a way to copy/paste just one authorization object between two roles?
I know how to make a copy of an authorization object and its values within the same role, but I haven't found a way to copy between roles.

Hi Ursa,
I havent come across any export object kinda thing...
This may help you in practical situation...
Let us consider your particular requirement related to s_tcode.
for that go to suim -
transactions -> executable for role .
Give the role name get the list of transaction codes.
Download into excel file. then copy from there and paste into your new role menu or in s_tcode object.
Mostly we dont get that much list for other objects.
One more thing you can do.
click on display tab beside the object in your source role, you get the list window.
type ctrl + Y and then copy the 7-8 lines and paste it in the object of new role.
