Authorization of 5 computers

Do the 5 authorized computers that are allowed inlude iPhones and iPads or do only desktops and laptops get counted?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Only computers can be authorised, mobile devices have to be associated with an authorised computer (they don't use up an authorisation).

I had a problem with a 5.0.3 project that would cause 5.0.4 to crash. Apple asked for a copy of the project and later told me it was because there were some empty text layers. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
In my case I still had 5.0.3 on another Mac and could clean up the project. If empty text layers might be the problem, do you know someone with an earlier version who could open it and remove the empty layers? I'd be willing to give it a try if you'd want to send me the project.

Follow the instructions in the above link to deauthorize all and then authorize only the computers that you physically have access to and need authorized.

  • TS1368 I have authorized 5 computers for my itunes account and cannot authorize any more computers.  However, two of my computers had hard drive crashes and I can't go to those computers to deauthorize them so I can add new computers.  How do I do that?

I have authorized over the past years a total of 5 computers, two of which bit the dust.  Apple will not allow me to authorize any more computers because I've maxed out the limit of 5.  According to the instructions, I must deauthorize the two computers that crashed to allo any more computers to share my music, videos, etc.  I can't deauthorize the two hard drives that "crashed", so how can I authorize any more computers?  Help.

Once per year you can deauthorize all five computers regardless of whether they are still in service or no longer in your possession. You can then reauthorize the computers you still use.
In iTunes Store click on the Account link under Quick Links.

I wanna Dis-authorize my all computers from my pc.. because i bought a New pc.. i cant do anything like app backup or authorize from my new  pc so please help me

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

  • How could ID authorize on my computers once it's been done once a year could you please help me thank you

How could I be authorized all my computers which is already been done once a year would you please help me if possible I call technical support dinner not help me

You have to wait the full year to de authorize all your computers. The only other way is to find the computer you are authorized on and click on store in the menu bar and click de authorize from there.

If you no longer have the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes,  go to "view your account info" on the itunes store,  deauthorise all five, (Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)  and then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time.

  • De-authorization of all computers

I am having issues with de-authorization of my 5 computers. Every time when I tried to do that, it gives me an error stating that I have to wait until Dec. 20, 2010 in order to do that. Does anyone know how I can do this today instead of waiting until december?

  • Authorization problem: All computers deauthorized but can't add new compute

I just bought a new macbook pro and reached my max of 5 computers in my itunes account. I went ahead and deauthorized all computers in my itunes account to start fresh but I'm still unable to sync my iphone. The first message I get when I try is "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the Iphone...Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from itunes store?" When I click "authorize" and then sign into my itunes account, I get a new warning saying, "You cannot authorize more than 5 computers..." Any suggestions?

Is it possible that you have purchases under more than one account? Also...if you haven't, you might try restarting the computer.

  • I need help with authorization with multiple computers

I know that when you authorize computers, you are supposed to be able to play purchased music on that specific authorized computer. Well how do you do that?? I have a Vaio notebook and a desktop pc. Both are using the most current xp software. When I downloaded iTunes to my desktop I clicked on check for purchased music. It's would probably be helpful to tell you that I bought all my music through iTunes and transfer songs from my nano (LOVE IT) between my notebook. So, when I checked for purchased music to be able to listen to it on the desktop pc that I most recently downloaded iTunes to, none of my purchased music will show up. It says that "all purchased music have been downloaded successfully." Isn't authorizing up to 5 computers the same thing as being able to play all purchased music on those 5 authorized computers?? If so, how do you get your purchased music playlist to show up on the other authorized computers?? HELP!!

    I saw the post:
I'm getting an error message that says I need to check my internet connection and I can't seem to download music from the iTunes Music Store or CDDB.
There are many issues that can cause this type of error. The most common are:
    yadda yadda...
BUT NONE of these seem to fix my problem, which is exactl;y as described. I should not have a problem with the firewall -- it accesses the actual music store with no problem.

  • Authorization on 5 computers

Does iTunes automatically authorize my purchases on 5 computers that I've given PAST authorization to when I buy something?
I just bought a record the other day and I didn't share it with any computer and then when I tried today it said it was already authorized on 5 computers.
    What can I do?

You authorise your computer not the track. You need to go to the other machines and deauthorise them.
If you have 5 computers authorised you can go into the account section in iTunes and deauthorise them all. You can only do this once a year.
Do people authorise their accounts on friends' computers and that's why they have 5 authorisations? I only have 2 since I have 2 computers.
