Authorization profile for partner user account

Can anyone please tell me which authorization profile should be assigned to the user account that a partner of ours will use when they use basic authentication to sign on to our PI box when they consume a web service?

Yes, it will affect roaming profiles. Please rename the roaming profile folder as the new user account name, in addition, change the profile path in ADUC.

How do I use the same profile for two users on the same computer

I use my laptop both at home and at work. And in each venue I use a different user log on. But I wish to have firefox use the same profile for each user log on. How can I get firefox to point to the same profile for each user?

Note that only one user (Firefox instance) can use a profile folder at the time, so if you would switch the Windows user to another account then you would first have to close Firefox.

HR Authorization issue for specfic User

Dear all,
One of the HR user , he can run payroll on particular site ,
i have assigned Org key of site to master data on the particular role .
User tried to run payroll using pa30 with personnel no (one of store user) .
but system is not take any value and its not showing any error also .
For example pls check below detail i have tried my user id and system has shows below details of the user (below details is one of the store user ).
Personnel no.   2941
Name         A Mohammed Younus
Personnel ar ZOSO                            EE group   A
Subarea      STCH                            EE subgrp 3E
Kindly suggest to resolve the issue
Note : 1, i have deleted the user and i have recreated role .
2, i have copied another user role (he can run payroll) to effected user ,even though he cant able to run payroll.

How to create authorization groups for G/L Accounting

Hi:
I have a problem with authorizations groups in FI, I hope you could help me.
We want to control access to accounting in FI by authorization group so user only can work with some G/L accounts.
I have seen in transaction FS00, in control data tab, a field called Auth. Group, but I really donu2019t know if this is the right field.
Do you know how I can control access to G/L Accounts by Authorization Groups? Perhaps must I to create a new Authorization Group by roles? We have 4.6c.
Please, any help is welcome.

Update the authorization group field in the GL master with any user defined value and then include the same in the respective user roles against the authorization object - F_BKPF_BES-BRGRU in PFCG
Ensure you have updated 'Authorization group' for the GL accounts in your chart of accounts

In my current implementation project there is an requirement to create display authorization profile for SPRO. I have tried a lot but was not able to do so.

This is security related question. I am not security expert.
But you can check this, Include the following authorization objects in the profile and assign this profile to the target user.
S_IMG_ACTV
S_PROJECT
S_PROJ_AUT
S_PRO_AUTH
and assign activity = 03 (Display).

Authorization Profile for attributes into qeries

Hi all,
I've a big problem in a Bex environment.
Some users-id cannot see the kf-type attributes of 0material, but they can see only characteristic-type attributes. In general this happens for all characteristics with kf-type attributes.
Instead with my user-id (sap_all) the query is ok.
I believe the problem depends of the authorization profile.
Every user has a lot of profiles.
How can I do for detecting the restrictions of these users?
Do you know the specific profile that limits the display of the attributes?
Does it exists a t-code to identify the auth.profile used from a query?

Hi Claudia,
It seems that key figure authroization has been set up in your system. You need to assign the role that would give the users access to these key figures. You can run the report by any other user's auth, through transaction RSSMQ.

Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts into PO creation

Dear friends !
How could I activate check to the access to certain accounts into PO creation ?
I know that is possible to activate this into Purchasing customizing under path
SPRO > Materials management > Purchasing > Purchase order > Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts
But could I use it to give access only to certain GL Accounts by user ? Is this the purpose of this customizing ?
If yes what´s the object should I use to link with user account !?

After you setup the configuration in transaction OMRP, please setup up
the authorisation group in the account code (FS02, the field is on the
"Control", technical name is BEGRU).
When a account assigned purchase order is created, the system checks for
object F_BKPF_BES with values from the BEGRU and activity 01.

Is there a way to use 1 library for multi-user accounts on mac osx? I have 4 iphones and was previously using the main account only. I'm getting tired of having everyones contact lists downloaded into my main phone. I can't seem to figure out how to sync the music to the same library.

I sync 2 iphones with the same library, and to stop the other iphones contacts adding to mine I have two groups in the address book, one has my contacts in and the other my friends. I then just sync the appropriate address book in the info pane when the iphone is plugged in.

How to alter the default profile for multiple users

I am trying to alter the default profile assigned to users during user creation to a new profile. I know to change the profile for one user using the syntax
alter user abc profile profileabc
The issue I have is that there are 100's of users under default profile and changing for each of them manually would be difficult. The approach that I see is to write a shell script where I connect to the db and get a list of all the users with default profile. Then I loop through the file making connection to the db each time and executing the alter statement.
Please help if you think that there can be a more efficient approach to this.

Tacacs authentication fails for one user account for only one switch

Hi,
I am having an scenario, where as Tacacs authentication fails for one user account for only one switch.
The same user account works well for other devices.
The AAA configs are same on every devices in the network.
Heres the show tacacs output from the switch where only one user account fails;

             Socket closes:        156
             Socket aborts:        303
             Socket errors:          1
           Socket Timeouts:          2
   Failed Connect Attempts:          0
        Total Packets Sent:       1703

What could be the reason ?
No errors on ACS server; same rights had been given to the user account.

Does the user get authenticated in the ACS logs?
reports and activity----> failed attempts

That will help narrow it down.

Changing the display profile for multiple users at once.

Is it possible to change the display profile for multiple users at once? We would like ot be able ot add tabs and channels globally, but right now we can anly do it for once user at a time. Also, is it possible to have certain generic display profiles that all users use? like an admin profile and a tech support profile and a normal suer profile? Any help is appreciated...

Yes this possible using the dpadmin batch command.
Please check the dpadmin documentation for the batch command.
For generic display profile what you can do is create users and assign the user particular roles. The display you would be creating would be for the roles. The users belonging to that role would inherit that display profile.
