Authorize an e-reader issue

Hello All
I am have an issue with adobe digital additions on one of my computers. When ever i try to authorize an e-reader, I've tried two different e-readers with two different accounts, I get an error message saying it could not authorize it and to please try again later with the error code "E_AUTH_USERID_INUSE" with the link 'http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/addsignindirect" when I click onto hat link it opens an application that give me another error message and code that are as follows "Error getting license server communication problem E_ADEPT_HTTP_GET_NOT_SUPPORTED"
I have been able to log into sever accounts and authorize them with different e-readers in the past but I have been getting the error for the past few days.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'd like to thank you for your help. I have looked into that a little more and apparently my device is authorized with my account it is the computer that is having problems authorizing. one of the accounts I tried authorizing it with was a brand new account that has never been used. do you have any suggestions on why that would be and how I could fix that?
I was also wondering how many times can an account can be used to authorize a computer and or an e-reader?
Also what do you / does adobe suggest for public terminals for patrents?

I have tried many things to try to install it and I have been unsucessful. Please help I have windows 8 64bit.

This did not resolve my issue, it actually made things worse. I did what

Accessories > Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator. Click Allow
for the elevation prompt
· In the command prompt, type the command below:
fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
The line above assumes that C: is the drive in which Vista is installed. If
it is installed on another drive like D:, change the drive letter
appropriately.
· Restart the system.
· Install Acrobat or Adobe Reader again.

PS CS3, Camera Raw 4.6 Update and Nikon D810 NEF File Reading Issue

Currently Have Photoshop CS3 & Adobe Bridge CS3 2.1.1.9.
According to Adobe, Camera Raw 4.6 supports Nikon D810 NEF files. I have downloaded Camera Raw 4.6 Update. When
I try to open Nikon D810 NEF files, I get Photoshop CS3 error that says
"cannot complete request your because it is not the right kind of
document. These NEF files wont open in Adobe Bridge at all. What am I doing wrong?

Before I purchased, let me get your thoughts on another option that just occurred to me which involves:
1)Editing my D810 NEF files in LR 5.6, which I have, then exporting/saving the edited files as JPEGs.
2) Doing any additional editing, as necessary (i.e. that might require layering or selections..etc) , with the JPEGs with Bridge or PS CS3.
This method wont involve any additional software purchase now.. right? Am I missing anything. here? Since my final output to my customers are JPEGs any way, wont this work? Will I be at any disadvantage. Am I missing anything. here?

Macbook Pro - SD Card Reader Issues Solved!

I recently purchased a gently used, early 2011 MBP. I've had it for a few months, but I did not try using the SD card reader until last week... so much for kicking the tires. Long story short, the darn thing did not recognize or mount one single SD card out of a handful of cards, and at least 3 different card manufacturers all used with my Canon DSLR. I searched the net trying to find a solution and tried everything from sticking the card in at a some strange and ridiculous slant to shutting the computer down three different ways and resetting the System Management Controller (SMC); nothing worked. So today I spent 25 minutes or so chatting with an apple care specialist and they (Jim the apple care guru) finally came up with a solution, even though I'm sure neither one of us knows exactly why it worked. So here goes...
Put your SD card in a external card reader, once it's mounted go to disk utilities and reformat (erase) the drive to Mac OS Extended. Take it out of your external reader and put it in the built-in reader on your Mac. Now, of course, it will no longer work in your camera or most other devices so you'll have to format it again in your device of choice. However, here's the kicker... once I did l all of that and took some quick pics, I put it back in my MBP and it popped right up even after a reboot. But wait there's more.... I then put the SD card in my wife's work laptop (PC running Win8) and played with the files for a bit, then stuck it back in the Mac and it still recognized it. So there goes the "windows screws up the formatting myth).
So naturally I assumed that I would be forced to go through this double formatting process for all of my SD cards (and I have a lot), but then it happened! A Christmas miracle in October. I tried a second card, and then a third and a fourth and a fifth, etc... AND now they ALL pop up just like they should. Without reformatting or any other humanly changed processes. Yep... There you have it, it makes no sense. But it works ;)
Somehow formatting just one card in the card reader "woke up" the whole process, almost like my MBP was like, hmmm I was wondering what you kept sticking inside that's slot of mine...

Anyone else with card reader issues should read this page. Just because your card reader doesn't appear to be working or has mysteriously dropped off your system doesn't necessarily mean a logic board replacement. I've repaired several portables over the years that had been quoted for costly logic board replacements, when in fact the failures were relatively easy to resolve once you understood the real problem.
It's common belief a PRAM or SMC reset should fix all hardware glitches but sometimes it just doesn't go deep enough, as I found out with my 2011 MBP. Simply removing the battery was all it took to resurrect my seemingly dead card reader, when PRAM and SMC resets failed to have any impact on the problem.

Special authorization need for read cluster table??

In one report, I use following coding to read information from RFDT table:

How to authorize an ebook reader on ADE?

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions from the website so that I can borrow ebooks via the public library system. I was able to authorize my computer, but can't figure out how to authorize by ebook reader (Kobo Touch) - without authorizing the device, I can't transfer the ebooks from my Mac to the Kobo Touch. Any information on how to authorize the ebook reader would be appreciated!

I too am having this same problem but I have not seen ANY solutions for it. Looks like Apple is ignoring it!!!!!!!!?

As a Realtor I can't access documents on our ARMLS web site, the tech support say it is an adobe reader issue?

For some reason, suddenly I can't access the documents tab on our ARMLS web site. I called Tech support for the Flex web site and they say they can open the tab and read the docs fine.
They are saying it is an Adobe issue on my computer. I un installed adobe and reloaded but the same result.
Any ideas

Yes, I just changed my browser to Internet Explorer and same result, I
still can not read any PDF documents loaded to this site.
I have not tried un installing adobe but that is next, then reinstalling
while in Explorer.

To be honest I dont understand your acrobat reader issue.
In most cases acrobat installation should run smoothly without any problems.
If something went wring during the installation then remove the acrobat reader from the OS, then clean the windows and registry using the CCleaner and then try to install this software again

I couldn't imagine that we had bought a device (Sony 650 Touch) that did not hold the correct software nor the correct manual. Unbelievable.

Analysis Authorization for nav Attr Issue

I have a 0COMP_CODE as an attribute of 0SALSORG and it is marked as authorization relevant. i.e 0SALESORG_0COMP_CODE is authorization relevant.
I created an analysis authorization Object ZCOMPCODE_1000 by adding following in it.

Now I have a report on a cube which has 0SALESORG as char and also 0SALESORG as a variable on selection.
When I run a query for sales org = 1000, I can see rsults as sales org 1000 is assigned to company code 1000.
If I run report for sales org 2000, I should get not authorized message as 2000 is not assigned to company code 1000 and I only have a role assigned to me which has analysis authorization object ZCOMPCODE_1000. But Still I am getting report results.
Please explain Why and How can I overcome this issue.

First of all it is strange that we see two appearances of sales org.
0SALESORG = *
0SALESORG_0COMP_CODE = 1000
Probably the star value overrides the setting in the second one.
Besides did you create the variable in the query as authorization relevant or you will have problems there.

Hr Authorizations:Unable to read infotype 2001

We have got an issue with the manager authorizations .
Manager 1(userA) ,Manager 2(UserB) reportee (UserX) .
The user X was reporting to Manager 1 (userA) from Jan 09 to Mar09 and after the org assignment changes he started reporting to Manager2(user B).
Now the Manager 1 (userA) unable to view the absences for reportee (user X) in portal from Team Calendar.
It shows that no read authorization for user X for the duration Jan09 - Mar09.
If we see the role assigned to the manager is having P_orgincon with R access for the info type.(2001,2006) (however manager is able to read for the other people who are with him earlier and now (jan09 to until date)so we do not suspect the manager role ).
Structural authorization is having validity until 1.1.1900 to 31.12.9999.
Structural auth is using Get manager function module.
Structural authorization profile is having Period as blank and the switch as PLOGI ADAYS is blank (unmaintained), AUTSW ADAYS is manitained as 15 days.
I feel these switches may not be relevant as the period is blank in structural auth .
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

USER X is already moved to different ORG which belongs to Manager 2 (USER B).
now only USER B Can see USER X personal Master Data.
USER A Can't able to see his previous employess HR Personal master data ( Example :USER X) of time Jan 09 to Mar 09 since USER X is no longer belongs to USER A of Org Unit.
USER A doesn't have PD Profile which controls for Org unit belongs to USER X.
it is nothing to do with Role and Authorization object: P_orgincon : it belongs to PD Profile in order to see HR Master Data.
if USER A wants to see USER X personal HR MAster data make sure USER A is having PD Profile which belongs to new Org unit of USER X.
please do Correct me if i am wrong,

Sony Reader Issue

I wasn't sure where to post this, so forgive me if this is the wrong group.
I have an issue with my Sony eReader and the "Reader Library" software that it comes with. It was previously working fine for me under Snow Leopard.
I got a new 27" iMac, and migrated my files from my old iMac using a Time Machine backup. Now, when I log into Reader Library, it says that my computer is not authorized to view content. So, the actual software is not tethered to my new iMac.
Should be an easy fix right? Just log into my Sony Reader account and reauthorize my computer. However, when I do that the account page shows that my new computer IS associated with the new computer. However, it won't let me de-autorize it.
I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling the software, and all the Sony Preferences. No luck.
Does anyone know how to nuke all of the Sony Reader info on my iMac so that I can start over?
By the way, the Reader software will NOT allow me to de-authorize my iMac from another computer.
I had a similar issue with my iTunes library when I migrated my files, but that was an easy fix.
Sorry if my post isn't clear enough... I'm working on very little sleep!

If you have already purchaced using ADE you must already have an ADE account.
Continue to use that same account if you want to be able to read those books.
Your AdobeID may well be the same as your Google email, but the password won't necessarily be the same (indeed, it is much more secure if it isn't the same).
You should probably install the Bluefire app on the tablet, and register it with your old Adobe ID (using the old Adobe password).
The you can copy books from PCs or Macs using Windows Explorer or similar file managers, and read them on Bluefire.

Authorization restriction for Goods issue against an Order

Hello All,
We have a situation wherein the user is able to issue goods using tcode MIGO by choosing Goods issue --> Others and mentioning an order number that belongs to another plant in the account assignment tab and issues a material which belongs another plant.
For eg we have material A that has been created for plant 1. The user issues the material (movement type 261)and the account is assigned to an order which has been created for plant 2.
I could not find any authorization object that restricts this.
I checked the objects M_MSEG_BWA and M_MSEG_WWA and he has authorizations only for plant 1 and all movement types.
Any pointers to restrict this access will be appreciated.

Hi,
MIGO transaction by default restricted with Plant. If you say that the user A is having access to only Plant 1 & 3, but not for 2, please check the below authorization objects does not have any manual objects inserted into the Role and restricted with the value only in organization field.
M_MSEG_LGO

M_MSEG_WWE
This issue may occur because if the objects are maintained manually in the role. If so, when you check in the organization field, it may not be showing the value which are manually added into the manual object.
Also, please check the other roles are assigned to the user. If any of the other roles assigned to the user having any of the above objects with * value, this may provide the user to do the Goods movement for any plant.
To check the issue, please go to SUIM and check the user under "Roles by Complex Selection Criteria" and make sure that you are checking the objects for the particular user. This should be able to identify whether the user is getting access from any other roles assigned to the user.

Flash the Firmware in the USB CAC Reader. Enable DOD Certificates in KeyChain.
Delete old Keychain Certificates and CAC cache. Copy new Certificates from CAC in KeyChain. Ensure Email address matches what's on the CAC. Specific Email setup information:
- Setting up Mac Mail
- Setting up Thunderbird

Acrobat Pro 9 & iPad pdf reader issues

When I create/edit a pdf in Acrobat 5 and then send to my iPad, the pdf will be complete and correct. When I create/edit the same pdf in Acrobat 9 Pro and send it to my iPad the pdf will be missing any data that I edited and the other text will be garbled. This occurs when using both iBooks and Pdf Pro Reader by iTech Development to view the pdf file. Is this an issue with Acrobat or with the pdf readers? What is done differently in Acrobat 9 that might cause these readers to have issues?

So, it is definitely an embedded fonts issue. But I'm still rather
confused with solving the issue. When I use Acrobat 5 on this pdf, it
embeds a substitute font of Times New Roman for the Times Roman font, but when I use Acrobat 9 it is using some substitute font that is getting garbled in the iPad. I am still playing and testing, but any additional ideas would be greatful.
I also talked to the developer of the PDF Pro Reader and they opened an issue with Apple regarding the fonts being garbled and also let me know that if I open the pdf on a Mac and save it it will look fine on the iPad. This did work, but is not something I can use as a solution, since we do not have a Mac and are not looking to purchase one just to solve this issue.
