Authorizing problem for this computer

I had an iPod, but it received water damage, so I got a replacement from Apple. I've been having problems with syncing music, apps, and videos to the device, but I tried to reinstall the apps directly from the store. When I connect the device to my computer it says the computer is not authorized for this account, so I go through the steps by going to Store>Authorize this computer... then I put in my ID and password and it loads for about 5 seconds then an Error comes up "We could not complete your iTunes Srore request. An unknown error occurred (-42408)." At this moment all I can put on this device is pictures. I need some major help, everything is going wrong!

I put in my ID and password and it loads for about 5 seconds then an Error comes up "We could not complete your iTunes Srore request. An unknown error occurred (-42408)."
Although you're getting a different error message, I'd try the following document with that one:
iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization

    I'm getting a "some of the items in the itunes library not were not copied to the itunes phone because you have not authorized them for this computer" error message for some of my songs when I'm syncing to my iphone to my laptop.  I've authorized the computer, but I still get this error messge.  Any suggestions?

    Were these items purchased with a different Apple ID than the one you normally use?  If so, authorized the computer for that Apple ID.

    I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
    Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
    No answers here, but you are definitely not alone with this issue.

    No, iTunes never says an iPhone is not authorized.
    This is occurring on a computer, correct?
    Is the computer authorized for the account the media or apps were acquired with?

    Hello Bobbie,
    Have you authorized your iTunes library yet to play and sync your iTunes purchases? To do this, head to the Store drop down menu and choose Authorize This Computer.  Then enter in your iTunes store account credentials and then try resyncing your iPod.

    Log out of the iTunes Store on your device:
    Settings>iTunes & App Store...tap your Apple ID, then select "Sign Out"
    Reset your device:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
    After the device has restarted, sign back in to the App Store as above.

    What I've done for troubleshooting tips so far.
    Deleted the Machines I'm trying to image
    Re-created all the Task sequences
    Disabled PXE, rebooted the machine and after 45minutes enabled PXE again.
    I've checked the certificates its all unblocked.
    is there anything?

    Hopefully this other thread helps you:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/631086ac-3b59-4437-a6af-0f1a834edcc2/problems-with-pxe-booted-pe-environment?forum=configmgrosd
    The marked answer in this thread is saying check the certificates? Would this be under Administration ->Security-> Certificates? I haven't tried re-installing the MP yet I'll give it a shot

  • OSD Task Sequence fails with "There are no task sequences available for this computer"

    Let me preface this by saying that I have read at least 100 forum posts with people having similar issues. However, none of the solutions in those
    posts have worked for me.
    The Problem: SCCM 2012 R2 will not image unknown computers.
    The task sequence gives the error "There are no task sequences available for this computer." As soon as that error occurs, SCCM places an Unknown entry into the All Systems collection. I have been imaging unknown computers, without fail, for
    4 months and no environmental changes have been made. NOTE: I am using USB media, not PXE.
    What I've Tried:
    Checked for duplicate SMSBIOS GUIDS in the console, none.
    Checked for duplicate MAC Addresses in the console, none.
    Checked for expired certificates, none.
    Recreated Boot Media, twice.
    Deleted the Unknown entry and retried, SCCM just recreates the Unknown entry.
    Deleted all of my task sequence deployments, and then redeployed them each to All Systems (Only Boot Media and PXE) and to Unknown Systems (Only Boot Media and PXE)
    I have also ran the following in the SQL Server Management Studio;
    SELECT
    * FROM
    ResPolicyMap WHERE
    machineid = 0 and
    PADBID IN
    (SELECT
    PADBID FROM PolicyAssignment
    WHERE BodyHash
    IS NULL)
    No result
    Select
    * From
    vMacAddresses Where
    MacAddresses = '00:00:00:00:00:00'
    This displays an entry for every time that I have tried to image the unknown machine attached to the MAC Address with a different ItemKey and SMS_Unique_Identifier for each entry.
    Added the machine manually using Import Computer Information, immediately recognized the Task Sequences that I have advertised to the All Systems collection.
    Any and all assistance is welcome, I am going on the third straight day of dead ends. Below I have tried my best to post the entire SMSTS Log;

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply, have fixed the issue, the client machine which was getting policy from proxy MP was failing and when checked the proxy MP there was no issue however the issue was with the main MP in primary server, Primary server ran out of
    memory(RAM memory was fully utilized) due to which
    IIS was refused connections request and MP was throwing error:
    Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 80 with an error code.
    Http test request failed, error code is 12030
    For this server we had to increase RAM size but we couldn't hence just as workaround just rebooted the server :), now able to complete the OSD TS....

  • An error occured while retrieving policy for this computer 0x80092004

    Good morning!
    I have recently been having some issues getting my OSD working correctly.
    It all started after the server which houses DPM and SCCM was refusing to start the SQL service because of an invalid certificate that was missing the private key. After I finally removed the key and all the registry value for it in SQL server, I could finally
    fire up SQL server again.
    However, since then, I am unable to perform an OSD and I have been troubleshooting this issue for many weeks now.
    I have low level knowledge of SCCM 2012 R2, but I did set this box up myself and had all aspects (OSD, Software deployment, driver deployment etc) working perfectly fine in native mode and was just about ready to start deploying images out when SQL
    died.
    I am still able to push out the client in native mode perfectly fine, I just can't deploy an OS task sequence.
    When I pxe boot the client, it boots fine and then prompts for the admin password, as soon as I enter the admin password, it fails with "An error occured while retrieving policy for this computer 0x80092004".

    Untick the "Use PKI Client Certificate when available" in the Site Properties. I would create a self-signed certificate for the DP. Don't forget to Update DP for all your boot images when you are finished.

    Hi!  I know this is old stuff but happened to me today!  so I post my fix here in case anyone gets the same error:
    PXE boots, but after you enter the password
    to get the list of task sequences, you get this error and the PC reboots:
    "80070057 pxe error retrieving policy" or something similar.
    If you press F8, you can see the log in X:\Windows\Temp\SMSTsLog.
     If you read the log, you will find the error as:
    “failed to send ddr”.
    This has to do with PXE Certificate.  In this case,
    the certificate was expired, so I had to change the date of expiration.  This is done in the properties of the PXE service point at the SCCM Server.

  • I cannot update Firefox, my computer is claiming that I need admin permission (everything else updates fine) I am the admin for this computer and I have the password. Any ideas?

    I cannot update Firefox, I've tried disabling firewalls etc. My computer claims that I need admin permission to update Firefox although I am the owner and administrator of this computer. There are updates available and know the admin password for this computer. It started when I installed the Noscript tool (which I have tried disabling with the same results)

    1. Download either the zipped form (or the portable form) of the latest version of FireFox.
    2. Unzip (or execute the portable version) into a scratch directory. (If using the portable version, find the scratch subdirectory with the same contents as the firefox directory in the "program files" - probably called "firefox". You may have to look for it - it's buried)
    3. Erase the contents of the firefox subdirectory in the Program Files directory,
    4. and copy into "Program Files/firefox" directory the unzipped files (or the files in the portable subdirectory labelled "firefox" - the one that has the set of files and directories just like the ones you erased.).
    It worked for me.
