Authorizing song when my computer is already authorized.

my itunes keeps telling me in order to play a song, that i have to authorize it.. yet, my computer is already one of the four computers that are authorized and it still wont let me play the song. Help?

I purchased a whole CD from iTunes and can play all but 3 songs. I keep getting prompted to authorize my account to play these 3 songs. But when I enter my apple ID and password, I get a message that says my computer is already authorized. It keeps cycling around and won't let me play the 3 songs. Anyone else ever have this problem or find an answer?

If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
You may also find it helpful while downloading to select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.

How can I get songs to copy to my iPod when my computer is already authorized I get a message that states I cannot copy those songs because it tells me I need to authorize my computer?

I get the following message when I sync my iPod Touch to my macbook in an attempt to copy songs to the iPod:
Some of the items in the iTunes library, including “----------”, were not copied to the iPod “------------------- iPod” because you are not authorized for then on this computer. To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store > Authorize This Computer
Then when I go to the iTunes Store and authorize my computer, it tells me that it is already authorized. I sure would like to get those 45 songs onto my iPod.

Can you play those tracks, the tracks that you’re unable to sync to the iPod, in iTunes? Make sure that you’ve authorized the computer to play purchases from each Apple ID that you've used with the iTunes Store, as shown in the article linked below.

Authorize using the correct account name
The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow these steps:
Select a purchased song in your library and choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab. Note the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) you'll need to use when authorizing your computer to play this purchase.
Note: The account name that appears is the one you used when purchasing the item and does not change if the account name (Apple ID) changes.
If you've authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary tab, you can check the purchase history for that Apple ID from Store > View My Account. If your purchase history does not reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, consider any other Apple ID you may have created, and authorize the computer for your additional Apple ID.
If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, you can recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.

Are the songs authorised to the same account?
Often people change their e-mail address over time, and also decide to set up new iTunes account names using that e-mail. You can (and should) continue to use an old e-mail address as your account name. Then you don't run into the issue of having different songs authorised to different accounts.
To check the authorised account for the song, click "Get info" on the song name in iTunes. It will show the account name in the Summary panel.
If you have set up multiple accounts, log into each one, and burn the songs to CD as audio tracks (i.e. like a normal CD, not a data CD). You can then re-import the files into iTunes without the authorisation embedded into the song.

Delete the song from your Itunes music list, then redownload it, Itunes will ask you if you if you want to download it for free. This seems to be the fix for my problems.

If a small number of your iTunes purchases are affected, delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country. If you get that message for every item, click here and follow the instructions.

Just downloaded an album, will let me play some songs, but others are asking for me to authorize my computer. When I enter Use ID and password, comes back and says computer is already authorized. Why will it let me play some songs and not others?

If just some of the tracks on the album are giving you that message, that suggests that those tracks are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Computer ia already authorized, cant play song when downloaded the album

Purchased an album, cant play a song from it because my computer or ipod is not authourized,even though the comp is authourized.

I have the same issue... My ITunes is telling me that I used a different username (e-mail) to download this music, when I've only had one Apple ID my entire time using ITunes.
Also, when I log in with my existing current ID (that I purchased the song with), it tells me that this computer is already authorized, but doesn't let me play it!

and, what is even more strange...
I actually bought 2 Billy Joel songs NY State of Mind from Essential Billly Joel and Italian Restaurant from Greatist Hits vol 1. Neither song would play.
I went back the Apple store and tried to re-download NYSOM. It let me do it for free. Before I checked I tried to re-dowload IR but inadvertantly selected same song but from The Stranger. I had to pay for this one. The re-downloaded NYSOM still didn't work but IR I bought from Stranger worked. So, I bought NYSOM from Greatest Hits vol 1. Didn't work!!! Tried again and bought from another album, Turnstiles, and that one worked. So, I bought 5 songs, only 2 of which will work.
So, now I ask - is there any way to get my money back?

Apparently not!! I am NOT happy about it either! I had always bought my mp3's from walmart.com (until they quit doing it) & ANY time I had a problem, they had it corrected in less than 5 minutes! Why, oh why, whenever I try to play certain songs in iTunes does it say to me "you must authorize this computer to play this song". So, then I sign in with my username and password, and iTunes tells me that it my computer is "already authorized". It still won't play the songs!
This is so frustrating. And there is no customer service for iTunes. Can anyone help me?
