Authortime Shared Libraries - Update Question

Hi I have a library fla and a destination fla. Simple question.
Using the drag from library to destination document I am of course able to easily update an asset in the destination fla by updating it in the source fla runtime.
However this only works when I publish. If I try to get this update to work authortime I have to "relink" the library asset by selcting it from the destination fla.
So:
Is there any way that if I republish the source fla I can see the change directly on the stage in my destination fla without relinking it as in update authortime.
Thanks in advance and remember to have a sunny day with minimum of rain. Glad for reply, half loosing my hair, but not fully!
Thomas

This might help. On the top left where it says itunes, click on that and you should see the word preferences, click on that. You should see a menu on the top of the screen that should pop up, and there will be one that says 'sharing', click on that and there should be one that says 'share my library on my local network'. Turn off the check mark and that should work. That's what I did, only I don't own a second computer to see if it worked. Aloha.

  • Shared Libraries Dummy Questions

    Hello *,
I am painfully improving my understanding about shared libs. I read the technical docs how to reference them etc but I guess I am missing the concepts.
I built a web service with workshop 10.3 which of course runs fine from workshop, default settings, so the web service references 3 shared libs automagically.
Now I manually deployed this webservice app to a managed server instead of admin and it failed. I figured out I have to target the shared libs to the managed server which is of course understandable. But still, wouldn't it be helpfull to have shared libs targeted to all servers as default? (actually I am not sure if there is such a thing, target to all servers, all I know is target to a whole cluster).
Now I tried to deploy the same web service to another domain with admin console. This fails. Workshop deploys the shared libs but admin doesn't.
Now my main question is about the concept behind.
    1. Is there a recommended way to get rid of the shared libs for a workshop project once it was configured to use shared libs?
Is the only way manually adding the shared lib under WEB-INF/lib?
    2. Is there a deploy dependent shared libs? I mean if workshop can do it, couldn't wls admin do it the same way?
    3. If I generate a build script, will it take care of deploying shared libs?
    4. let's assume I want to replace the wls-commonslogging-bridge.war which contains the commons-logging.jar,
    where is this jar located?
I understand share libs make sense for bigger projects, but I don't understand I have to deploy 3 of them first to
make a hello world web service run.

First, for Workshop questions you may want to try that specific forum:
    Workshop
Your question definitely has WebLogic components too. Let me give some of these a try.
    >
    1. Is there a recommended way to get rid of the shared libs for a workshop project once it was configured to use shared libs?
Is the only way manually adding the shared lib under WEB-INF/lib?That would be one way, another way would be APP-INF/lib of the EAR. The shared libraries are defined in weblogic.xml or weblogic-application xml. Typically a domain will be configured with the libraries to be deployed when it is created if you're just using the standard WebLogic shared libraries like the Workshop framework, etc. You can also make sure that your deployment mechanism, like WLST, checks to make sure the libraries are deployed.
    >
    2. Is there a deploy dependent shared libs? I mean if workshop can do it, couldn't wls admin do it the same way? It's my understand that this is a convenience mechanism that Workshop built specifically. You're shared libraries are defined in Workshop in the preferences so it knows where to get them from if they are missing, that's not necessarily true for deploying from the Admin Server.
    3. If I generate a build script, will it take care of deploying shared libs?Definitely WLST can be used to do this.
    4. let's assume I want to replace the wls-commonslogging-bridge.war which contains the commons-logging.jar,
where is this jar located? Can't remember offhand (not on my normal machine right now), but you should be able to check easily by searching your installation of WLS for the shared library name (the war in this case). Also, Workshop should have a reference to it somewhere in the preferences.
I understand share libs make sense for bigger projects, but I don't understand I have to deploy 3 of them first to
make a hello world web service run.As I mentioned earlier, if you made the domain a Workshop domain when you created it, those shared libraries should already have been deployed and it would be ready to go.

  • Shared "libraries"/mltple computers wireless networked to shared hard drive

I really spent some time researching this question prior to posting. My goal is to have three computers (mine, wife's,kid's) all accessing a single hard drive on which all of our combined music is stored with iTunes on each computer seeing our whole library of music, then all of us can create playlists, sync to varous nano's, shuffles, etc. Hard drive is all set up, wireless access is set, all three computers can access various other shared files on the hard drive. All three computers have been "mapped" so that they look at this new Z drive, so I went through Edit/Pref/Advanced/General and changed each computer to look at this new Z drive versus their own C: drive/Music folder etc. Then I went through Advanced, Consolidate on one computer to put all of our music that used to be on one individual computer's hard drive and successfully moved it out to the new shared, wirelessly accessable Z drive.
Now, I want to be able to add new songs to that Z drive, ideally from any individual computer and have all other computers "see" those new songs that are now out on the Z drive. I have gone around the house and tested adding via CD's new songs from each computer to the new shared Z drive and that works. However, each of the individual iTunes libraries do not see the new songs.....is there some way that each computer's iTunes could update itself so that it recognizes that there are new songs out on the shared hard drive??? If so, I can't seem to figure out how to make it work.
Also, on Edit/Preferences/Sharing...I have selected and checked "Look for shared libraries" and also selected/checked "share my library on local network"....and selected/checked "share entire library"....and I have done this on each indvidual computer, but I am not sure if those are the right selections/checks to achieve my goals. Is this what I should do on each computer?? In the blank "Shared name:" I typed "iTunesShared" which is the name of the file that I created on the shared hard drive and I did this on each computer in each individual iTunes program. Is this what I should be doing??
Finally, on one of the computers (the computer that I have been currently using to add CD's to our shared hard drive) under Library, on the left hand column...there is a heading called "Shared" and under that heading it lists two subheadings - one called "Owners's music" and the other called "Susan's music" - and those seem to turn off and on if I have one of the other two computers logged on and its iTunes program launched. If I go to one of the other computers and shut down iTunes on it, one of those subheadings will disappear. Also, with iTunes launched on the two other computers - I see under the "Shared" heading the "iTunesShared" heading and if I click on it, iTunes is then looking at the Z drive with all of the our songs stored on it....but the other two computers can only see this file if the computer that I have been downloading songs from is launched....i.e., the only way all three computers can see the Z drive with our full song library on it is if just one of the other computers is up, running and has iTunes launched.
Again, my goal here is to have all three computers iTunes be looking at the Z drive so that they would have access to our full library of songs...so, any ideas how I can make that happen or what I have done wrong here?? I think I am closing to figuring this out but am now stuck. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.
    thanks,
    CAS

Seems like you have things set up right. You may be disappointed though.
Each account on each computer is separate as far as libraries go. Even if all are set to save to the same location, like yours, the different libraries do not see each other. The library files for each user are basically just shortcuts to where the tracks are, so even if 5 users add the file to their own library there will be media file.
What this means is that adding files with one, the others will not know it. There is no setting available to change this behavior. Each user must add the files to their own library using the 'add folder' or 'add file' options.
Is that everything? You had a big post.

  • Can't enable shared libraries in Parental - grey checkbox

    Hi to all.
After the reinstallation of Leopard, I've found out that I'm unable to use shared library feature in iTunes. The checkbox in the Parental, saying Disable Shared libraries is checked and inactive (grey). Just as long as the Radio one. There is no way I can uncheck it (lock is opened, tried everything). What could that be? I reinstalled again and noticed that Shared libraries works OK on a brand new-installed system. After the installation of any update (Airport, iTunes, QT) the situation in the iTunes Preferences becomes just as i've described above.
I'll appreciate any suggestions. Googling for several hours gave me nothing.

    Hi,
This does not answer your question.
I have updated to the newest OS 10.6.5, I want my daughter to be able to have her music on her iTune set up using Parental controls. I don't have a check box for shard libraries. There must be a way to port her music to her iTunes site. Any answers out there?

Shared libraries from other people's libraries showing up permanently on MacBook Pro. And a lot of purchased and ripped songs vanished... Anyone...please help...?!?!
The home sharing is now off and still has all the songs one there. Even rebooted the wifi modem, supporting hard drives and all computer involved in this catastrophe!! :( all computer are all updated and updated to the new iTunes.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated and any more questions welcome. Thanks

Basically anything not purchased from iTunes that is on my iPhone 6 will not sync over to my MacBook. I have tried to just manually back it up but only the purchased music will sync over to iTunes.

  • Use of deployment classpath or shared-libraries to pick-up "custom" classes

    Hi,
I’m trying to determine an approach to dealing with how classes are found in a deployed ADF application via classpath, etc. I’ve tried to explain the situation below as best I can so it’s clear. If you have any comments/suggestions as to how this could be done, it would be much appreciated
    Current Application structure:
Consists of an application initially deployed to OC4J 10.1.3.4 using an alesco-wss.ear file
Application contains a single Web Module, initially deployed as wss.war file within the alesco-wss.ear file above.
The Web Module (wss) was built in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 using 2 projects, a Model and ViewController project, and uses ADFBC.
The Model project seems to also generate an alesco-model.jar file in the /WEB-INF/lib/ folder, even though Model classes are in the /WEB-INF/classes/ folder below?
Exploded structure of application on application server looks something like:
    applications/alesco-wss/META-INF/
/application.xml <- specifies settings for the Application such as Web Module settings
    /wss/
/app/ <- directory containing application .jspx pages protected by security
/images/ <- directory containing application images
/infrastructure/ <- directory containing .jspx files for login, logout and error reduced security
/skins/ <- directory containing Skin image, CSS and other files
    /WEB-INF/
/classes/ <- directory containing application runtime class files as per package sub-directories
/lib/ <- JAR files used by application (could move some to shared-libaries?) – seems to contain alesco-model.jar
/regions/ <- directory containing .jspx pages used for Regions within JSPX template page
/templates/ <- directory containing template .jspx pages used for development (not really required for deployment)
    /adf-faces-config.xml
    /adf-faces-skins.xml
    /faces-config.xml
    /faces-config-backing.xml
    /faces-config-nav.xml
    /region-metadata.xml
    /web.xml
testpage.jspx <- Publicly accessible page just to test
The application runs successfully using the above deployment structure.
We plan to use the exploded deployment structure so that updates to pages, etc. can be applied individually rather than requiring construction and re-deployment of complete .EAR or .JAR files.
What I’m trying to determine/establish is whether there is a mechanism to cater for a customisation of a class, where such a class would be used instead of the original class, perhaps using a classpath mechanism or shared library?
For example, say there is a class “talent2.alesco.model.libraries.ModelUtil.class”, this would in the above structure be found under:
    applications/alesco-wss/META-INF/classes/talent2/alesco/model/libraries/ModelUtil.class
Classes using the above class would import “talent2.alesco.model.libraries.ModelUtil”, so they effectively use that full-reference to the class (talent2.alesco.model.libraries as a path, either expanded or within a JAR).
From the Oracle Containers for J2EE Developer’s Guide 10.1.3 page 3-17, it lists the following:
Table 3–1 Configuration Options Affecting Class Visibility
    Classloader Configuration Option
Configured shared library <code-source> in server.xml
    <import-shared-library> in server.xml
    app-name.root <import-shared-library> in orion-application.xml
    <library> jars/directories in orion-application.xml
    <ejb> JARs in orion-application.xml
RAR file: all JARs at the root.
    RAR file: <native-library> directory paths.
    Manifest Class-Path of above JARs
    app-name.web.web-mod-name WAR file: Manifest Class-Path
    WAR file: WEB-INF/classes
    WAR file: WEB-INF/lib/ all JARs
    <classpath> jars/directories in orion-web.xml
    Manifest Class-Path of above jars.
    search-local-classes-first attribute in orion-web.xml
Shared libraries are inherited from the app root.
We have reasons why we prefer not to use .JAR files for these “non-standard” or “replaced” classes, so prefer an option that doesn’t involve creating a .JAR file.
Our ideal solution would be to have such classes placed in an alternate directory that is referred to in a classpath such that IF a class exists in that location, it will be used instead of the one in the WEB-INF/classes/ directories, and if not such class is found it would then locate it in the WEB-INF/classes/ directories.
    - Can a classpath be set to look for such classes in a directory?
    - Do the classes have to replicate the original package directory structure within that directory (<dir>/talent2/alesco/model/libraries)?
    - If the class were put in such a directory, without replicating the original package directory structure, I assume the referencing “import” statements would not locate it correctly.
    - Is the classpath mechanism “clever” enough to search the package directory structure to locate the class (i.e. just points to <dir>)?
    - Or would the classpath mechanism require each individual path replicating the package structure to be added (i.e. <dir>/talent2/alesco/model/libraries/ and any other such package path)?
If we are “forced” to resort to the use of JAR files, does a JAR file used for the purpose of overwrite/extending a sub-set of classes in the original location need to contain ALL related package classes? Or does it effectively “superset” classes it finds in all JAR files, etc. in the whole classpath? That is, it finds talent2.alesco.model.libraries.ModelUtil in the custom.jar file and happily goes on to get the remainder of talent2.alesco.model.libraries classes in the other core JAR/location. Or does it need all of them to be in the first JAR file for that package?
Any help would be appreciated to understand how these various class visibility mechanisms could be used to achieve what is required would be appreciated.
    Gene

So, nobody's had any experience with deploying an ADF application, and providing a means for a client to place custom classes in such a way as they're used in preference to the standard application class, effectively to implement a customised class without overwriting the original "standard" class?

  • Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]) and error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to upgrade my test 9.2.0.8 rac to 10.1 rac. I cannot upgrade to 10.2 because of RAM limitations on my test RAC. 10.1 Clusterware software was successfully installed and the daemons are up with OCR and voting disk created. Then during the installation of RAC software at the end, root.sh needs to be run. When I run root.sh, it gave the error: while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I have libpthread.so.0 in /lib. I looked up on metalink and found Doc ID: 414163.1 . I unset the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in vipca (unsetting of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL was not required in srvctl because there was no LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in srvctl). Then I tried to run vipca manually. I receive the following error: Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]). I'm able to see xclock and xeyes. So its not a problem with x.

    My questions are:
should ping on sunny1vip and sunny2vip be already working? As of now they dont work.
if you look at oifcfg getif, I initially had eth1 10.0.0.0 global cluster_interconnect,eth0 192.168.2.0 global public then I created eth1 10.1.1.0 global cluster_interconnect with setif. Should it be 10.1.1.0 or 10.0.0.0. I looked at the subnet calculator and it says for 10.1.1.1, 10.0.0.0 is the subnet. In metalink they had used 10.10.10.0 and hence I used 10.1.1.0
Any ideas on resolving this issue would be very much appreciated. I had been searching on oracle forums, google, metalink but all of them refer to DOC Id 414163.1 but it does n't seem to work. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I have done an update to the system today and now I see the following error:

same happens if I try to open epiphany.

I tried to reinstall it, but there is no effect. Any idea what I can do to fix this?
    Thanks!

looking at the file list, libtasn1 3.0-1 comes with libtasn1.so.6. The packages that depend on it will need to be rebuilt for the soname bump. If you're sure that you're completely up to date, file a bug report. If you got the versions of the programs you're using from the AUR, rebuild them yourself.

  • Error while loading shared libraries libnnz10.so with brconnect

    Hi
I am experiencing some problems within an installation, brconnect seems to be looking for oracle 10 libraries? while my oracle is a 9.2 !
    these are the logs:
    ERROR CJS-00288  Could not update database statistics.<br>DIAGNOSIS: Command brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o SAPXID returned 127.<br>SOLUTION: See brconnect.log for details.
    brconnect.log:
Execution of the command "/sapmnt/XIE/exe/brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o SAPXID" finished with return code 127. Output:
/sapmnt/XIE/exe/brconnect: error while loading shared libraries: libnnz10.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Yes, that's true, libnnz10.so does not exist, it happened something similar with the library libclntsh.so.10.1, I only have a libclntsh.so, with a softlink from libclntsh.so.9.
maybe the brtools imagine I have an oracle 10?
I specified a 9.2 Oracle during the installation!
    Many thanks, Mario.

    Installation of what?
Clearly the BRTOOLS are version 700, so, even when you specified that Oracle 9i was to be installed the BRTOOLS delivered are the mentioned version and you
must install the oracle 10g instant client or
replace the version 700 by version 640

Downgrading to version "20130428-1" solved the problem.
Anyone also encounter this? Is it a packaging issue? Thanks.

I just want to know where to find my shared libraries on the stupid new iTunes. The layout was fine before, but when they changed it, I can't seem to find them. The articles on Apple are a million years old, before the latest iTunes update, so they are no help. Thanks.

It's only 7 months old and it is still correct.

  • Shared Libraries Not Working

This problem has just come up recently and for no apparent reason as far as I can tell.
I'm at college and a lot of people in the dorm, including myself, have our iTunes libraries set to share. This has worked fine for months now until a few days ago. For whatever reason I can no longer see shared libraries and mine isn't being shared.
Topics I've seen before talk about the iTunes store, and that works fine with me. I do have the proper boxes checked. It isn't being blocked by the firewall, and the problem occurs even with the firewall off.
I haven't done anything to my iTunes recently other than adding a few cd's and syncing my iPod. I haven't done anything major to my comp. at all either. Can't figure out why it isn't working recently.

Quite possible it could be a firewall issue maybe? I've had firewall software update itself and then start blocking things that had previously been allowed. Just a thought...
