Authorware 7 and Windows XP Tablet Edition

Greetings
I'm probably going to buy a Fujitsu Tablet PC; it runs the
Tablet Edition of XP.
I want to load Authorware 7 (and Camtasia) on the Fujitsu to
record full motion pen-strokes at the speed in which I write and
create an e-learning Math tutorial.
Will Authorware 7 (and Camtasia) run on a Tablet PC under the
Table Edition of XP? I vaguely recall reading something about
problems that Authorware 7 and Camtasia have running under
the Tablet Edition of XP.
Thanks

I would suggest that if you want a tablet for Authorware you
get a Toshiba
M200 series, because it has a much higher resolution screen
and more
available RAM. You need to have a large work area if you're
working with AW
7 because of the way they've changed the interface. Make sure
you buy 2
extra power supplies when you buy it, because the end of the
power supply
where it plugs into the laptop is weak. Invest in the
extended warranty in
case your screen cracks
Have no idea about camtasia on a tablet, but I'd think it
would work. It's
just a mouse move and pixel change.

  • MediaSource error in Windows XP Tablet Edit

Anytime you click on any song in MediaSource using a Nomad Zen Xtra 40gb player, the program crashes. This ONLY happens running MediaSource under the Windows XP Tablet Edition (SP & SP2) OS. Has anyone else experienced this and is there any way to fix it's I assume that it has something to do with reading the ID3 tags properly or queuing up the file to play.
With this problem, MediaSource is completley useless to organize or transfer music. I can click on mp3s that aren't on the Zen and it doesn't crash, it only happens when you click on mp3s in the player.

Did you try the latest edition of MediaSource? It might be that as you say it isn't compatible with this version of Windows.
There's other software out there you can use, listed here.

  • 10.4.11, VMware Fusion and Windows XP (Home Edition) works just fine

OK, so I'm through the installation of VMware Fusion and Windows XP (Home Edition) and I have to say that it was pretty much point and click as advertised. All network services seem to be working and I'm running both OS side-by-side with out a hitch.
Haven't put the system through any rigorous test yet, like VPN, network printing or rending large graphic files, but the installation, setup and normal operation went smoothly taking about an hour in total.
Machine: MacBook Pro, 1.8Ghz with 1G of RAM memory and dual monitors.
    Host OS: MacOS 10.4.11

I now have installed XP Pro into a Boot Camp Partition. Basically point and shoot. Then while booted in XP I used PC Mover to migrate my old PC to the Boot Camp partition. With the exception of one program and my virus and firewall programs all went well, almost point and shoot. Then I installed VMWares Fusion and used my Boot Camp partition as the source. If you follow instructions from VMWare things work relatively problem free.
After posting questions on VMwares site about processing video and compiling DVDs in Windows using Fusion I decided that such processor intensive requirements are best handled in the Boot Camp (native) mode.
The biggest problem I have encountered is that Microsoft Office constantly asks to be reactivated when switching between Boot Camp startup and Fusion. No solution I know of, except not to use Office in Boot Camp Mode. Secondly XP Pro required a re-authorization from Microsoft so I could run it in both Boot Camp and Fusion modes. Obtaining the authorization (activation code) from Microsoft was not a problem.

  • X230t and Windows 8 - tablet rotate and control buttons don't work

I am the proud owner of a new x230 tablet and I couldn't resist the tempation to load up Windows 8 on it.  Overall I have found the operating system to work fairly well on the system as installed "out of the box"; however, I have noticed that when the computer is put in tablet mode the screen doesn't rotate, even if the rotate hardware button is pressed.  Has anyone else encountered this and if so is there a solution other then waiting for the official release of the operating system and windows 8 certified drivers.
    Thanks

This is for win7 but should also work in win8 because it is a simple configuration thing:

  • Itunes 7.1.1. and Windows Vista Home Edition

Hi there. I have a new PC from HP model T3765.it and I am NOT able to use my iPod nor to install iTunes for more than two months: my PC says "you have to repair iTunes to make it working with Windows Vista". I followed the instructions (Control Panel --> Programs --> iTunes --> repair) but no result. My PC has Windows Vista Home Edition. Does anyone know what to do? Is there a way to sort this out or do I have to wait for a new iTunes release?
    Thanks, Giacomo

Can anyone help me with instructions to restore the Ipod to a back level? I have searched the discussions but haven't found a method. I have downloaded 1.2.1 but Itunes wants to check for an update and won't let me get past that point.

  • Problem with PC Suite and Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit

I installed PC Suite on my desktop with Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit installed.  I was able to eventually run PC Suite (granted it needed to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode) and sync my calendar on my W518a cell phone with PC Suite via Bluetooth communications.  After I turned off my computer and restarted it, I could no longer open up PC Suite...its icon appears in my system tray with a red X over it as if it can't find the program.
The SonyEricsson website indicates PC Suite can run with Windows 7.
What is causing the problem I am having?  How do I get this corrected?

I have downloaded and reinstalled the PC Suite software.  Although it is not working as well as it should, as long as I have my cell phone on with Bluetooth enabled prior to clicking on the icon to open the application, it seems to work OK.  Otherwise, when it opens, it just hangs and the only way you can close the program is to get into Task Manager and force it closed when its status is showing as "Not Responding".  I also have found that just "closing" the PC Suite window does not close the application...you have to click on the option to "Exit the Application" otherwise you continue to have it in your system tray with a red X over the icon.

  • PC Netlink 2.0 and Windows 2003 Standard Edition

Does anyone know if a Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server can be added as a Domain Member Server to a PC Netlink 2.0 domain?
    When I try to join the domain I receive the message;
"The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "DomainName":<br />

I have the same Problem; no solution yet.

  • Boot Camp and Windows Media Centre Edition?

Just curious ... has anyone tried installing Windows Media Centre Edition with Boot Camp on their MacBook Pro? If so, how did it work out? Any issues?

    Look here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2090789??
In general, I'd say the Boot Camp forum is a better place to work on Boot Camp issues than in the model-specific ones.
Also, searching first is always recommended. In most cases, a person coming to these forums with a question or an issue is not the first one. With one exception, of course…

  • [FIXED] x61t and windows 8 tablet buttons now working

    [UPDATE]
    ahahahahhaha
I just found the solution xD It's so **bleep** stupid that it makes me feel stupid!
All you need to do is to open the driver folder (default directory "C:\DRIVERS\WIN\UNAVUTIL") then right click on "wstbtnib.inf" and press Install and restart.
    That's it!
It looks like the setup can't do it by it self under windows 8.
I can't believe nobody never tried it! I saw guides on guides about remapping and stuff. They just work now! (I restarted multiple times and played with it a little, all works).
I tried with 2 different installations and it worked for both. Can someone confirm this on another thinkpad?
My model is the one with no touch and hi res ips screen!
Thx for all (witch is not much xD)
    [OLD]Hi guys!
I need help, I'm getting crazy here. I just got an ssd and decided to upgrade my x61t to windows 8 for several reasons.
I discovered that if I upgrade from win 7 everything works but the tablet buttons don't. The funny thing is that when I tried to install win8 on the old hhd win7 installation they worked! But when I tried again win7->win8 they didn't. So it might be something that the new installation missed.
Is there a way to make the driver work properly? And most of all, is it a driver issue or is the utility program that translate the buttons? The thing is that they can work with no issue on win8, so what are the dependencies? It's not .net or visual c++. Any idea? Any suggestion to make my thinkpad work at 100%? I really want them working!
Thanks for your time and help!

    Solved!

Go in device manager, search the wifi device, right click on it and choose properties, move to power management:
untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
That will fix this issue. The other problem is that the current driver gives random bsod. I still have to find a solution for that.
I should have thought of that, as I always switch it off.  It must be switched on as part of the upgrade.
I haven't yet had any bsod's, but I only let it upate from 8.0 a couple of days ago.

  • PCI 16 and Windows XP Home edit

I have a dual boot computer -- XP and the Linspire version of Debian Linux. The sound card works under Linux but does not work under XP.
The system would not recognize my CD-ROM dri've in XP because of a software problem which needed two changes to the Registry to fix. See MS Knowledge Base #34060.
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;34060
I may have a similar software problem with my SoundBlaster 6 PCI because System Properties / Hardware says that the PCI 6 is working properly but "Control Panel" / "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" / "Volume" tab says "No Audio Device" and the "Audio" tab says "No Playback Devices". The "Hardware" tab shows various codecs and drivers and the SB PCI WDM card as "working properly"
I tried your Knowledge Base #72 "clean sweep" but that did not fix it, perhaps because the installation CD-ROM with my card [copyright 2003. part number 320ML000043} did not have a file CTZAPXX.EXE so I could not kill the WDM drivers with it.
I also tried Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe but it said it could not find any "Creative" sound cards so it did not run.
XP System Information / Sound Devices says that the sound device is SB PCI (WDM) made by Creative Technology Ltd.
Oh mighty tech gurus, where in the hell is the problem?

    Johnb662,
There may be a problem with the multimedia section of Windows XP. This typically means uninstalling and reinstalling the multimedia section of Windows XP. This is usually hidden in XP but if you follow some steps you will be able to make this section visible. These steps are described in the following article in the section labeled "How to install or uninstall Windows programs that are no listed in Add/Remove Programs Wizard".
    http://us.creative.com/support/kb/ar...p?l=2&sid=5339
Make sure you have a Windows XP CD or the install files are on your HDD before continuing. Once this is done you can go to Add Remove Programs/Add Remove Windows Components and select the accessories and utilities section. Take the check mark out of Multimedia and hit apply. It will uninstall and you will need to reboot your system. After the reboot, go back to the same place and return the checkmark to Multimedia. Hit apply and reboot again. See if the sound card shows up after that.

You can find only a Windows XP tablet edition drivers on the Toshiba European driver page! But you will not find a Windows XP tablet Edition 2005 OS for download!!!
You will have to buy a clean OS and then you could install the Toshiba drivers downloaded for the notebook.
PS: I dont know what OS was preinstalled on your M700 but mostly a Toshiba recovery CD/DVD should be delivered together with the notebook.
