Authorware WXGA Resolution?

My client has asked me to make an authorware piece which
application window is compatible full screen with the following
display resolutions:
1680 x 1050
1440 x 900
1280 x 1024
1024 x 768
Unfortunately Authorware only seems to natively support the
1024 x 768 screen resolutions and so if I use the Full Screen mode
option does authorware automatically resize the buttons and content
to fit the full screen ?
Ideally I would like to somehow change the Authorware window
size to match one of the above 4 screen sizes.
Thanks

You probably want to use Variable size instead of Full
Screen, then
ResizeWindow to match the screen size.
Authorware will not move the content on its own, though you
can use
variables to accomplis this. Resizing is something Authorware
doesn't do
well at all.

You may want to consider Flex. There is a reason for the
name...

  • Set-Up - HELP

    Hi,
I've just literally received my AppleTV five minutes ago.
It connected to my Wireles Network and is syncing as i type this. The AppleTV is connected to my TV via component.
However, there is an annoying buzzing sound coming from the tv speakers no music or audio is playing, and everything is in black and white.
    HELP!
I sent Apple the following information before i ordered the AppleTV and they said that it would work:
    TV INFORMATION:
30" screen LCD Widescreen TV Screen format: 16:9 WXGA resolution Screen Brightness (cd/m2): 450 Contrast ratio: 400:1 Resolution (pixels): 1280x768 Multi-standard tuner Number of channels: 100 Text with Fastext Picture Comb filter Sound Audio output (RMS) W: 6 NICAM stereo Headphone PC compatible RGB via SCART: 2 SCART: 2 Composite Video S-Video Table-Top Stand No signal off/mute On/off timer Remote control.
    What have i done wrong?

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if that is
all the ports you've got on your TV, then the Apple
TV won't work for you. You need to have Component
input for video (which typically uses red, green and
blue connectors.) Looks like you just have Composite
    input, which won't work.
    Sorry.
I am extremely peeved off at Apple. I called them 5 times before i ordered and I got the same person and before i placed the order i specifically told them and e-mailed then all the components on the back of my TV and they said it would work.
THEY LIED!! THEY JUST WANTED MY MONEY!!

  • K8MM-V 7142 updated vga bios

i have a couple of system using k8mm-v board which has VIA/S3 UnichromePro IGP, recently we have upgraded most monitor to 17"/19" Wide screeen LCD, here the problem come, the onboard vga bios does not support those wxga resolution like 1440x900 or 1650x1024, google around found this is related to vga bios issue, not driver. i have updated those system to ver 1A bios, vga bios seems remain the unchanged. is there any service/beta bios available to fix this problem? tq.

these are only low end sempron powered (tats the whole point for all-in-one board) office station which only do basic office documents/spreadsheets work & internet browsing, nothing more nothing less. pretty no point buying new display card for this. even a 5 years old 845g onboard display driving the wide screen lcd without any problem (their vga bios updated with driver though).

  • R500 LCD calble 93P4449 specification ?

    Hi,
I have Lenovo R500 laptop type 2716-CTO. Now lcd display is damaged and when I'm looking parts in internet find some interesting themes like http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/R-and-L-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Change-display-type-at-R500/td-p/211791/... and http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/R-and-L-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Trouble-Changing-LCD-on-R500-New-Screen-... . After reading them decide to upgrade my lcd, now wxga resolution, and find full hd display second hand on good price. But specification at support site says WXGA - 93P4547,  WSXGA+ - 93P4551, but my lcd cable is 93P4449 (foxconn manufactured), which does not match any specs. So my question is whether my cable compatible with wsxga+ lcd displays or not. Thanks in advance.

93P4449 is the same as 93P4547, for WXGA plus webcam and Bluetooth.
93P4551 is for WSXGA+ plus webcam and Bluetooth.
These cables can all be used on 15.4" R500 and R61 models.
WARNING: lots of eBayers and other sellers got it all wrong!

  • WXGA laptop resolution problems

Ok everybody, here is my problem, in detail... I am unsure if this is a config problem or a driver problem, but on the offchance that it is fixable, I will post here.
My laptop has a WXGA 17" widescreen, Geforce FX Go5200, and a native (windows) resolution of 1440x900.
The nvidia driver (6111) internally has the ability to probe EDID info and grab monitor resolutions.  The problem is that MOST laptop monitors report incorrect EDID information... mine, of course, does this as well - it reports 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480....(puke!)
So, I must turn off EDID proping on the nvidia driver
    Option "IgnoreEDID" "true"
and manually put in my Modelines in the monitor section.
    Using
    gft 1440 900 60
(as all DFP displays should run at 60 Hz) I grabbed an appropriate Modeline for my monitor and inserted it into the xorg.conf file.
Now, when X boots, xvidtune reports a resolution of 1440x900, and xdpyinfo reports 1440x1024... essentially I have a desktop at 1440x900 with a virtual size of 1440x1024 (scrolling desktop)...
    I can simply run
    xrandr -s 1440x900
and switch it to 1440x900, however I'd let to get the config working so I do not have to do this.
    Looking for comments/suggestions.
    Thanks in advance,

maybe you should set the virtual size explicitely:
    Section "Screen"
    SubSection "Display"
    Virtual 1440 900
    EndSubSection
    EndSection

  • Question: T400 LED Screen Resolution Limited to WXGA?

Lenovo's website (US) is now only showing the following screen options for the T400:

  • Authorware Screwing up my  screen resolution settings

Was having problems with my macromedia flash and the website
said download this Authorware. Now everytime I click on my web
browser FireFox or on the downloaded authorware desktop install
icon it resizes my screen. I have gone back to the properties and
reset the screen size however it continues to resize it
everytime.I've tried to locate and remove this Authorware download,
but have had no luck finding it. Please help!!!

    You were at this site:
    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&p romoid=BIOX
...and it asked you to install Authorware? Flash does not
    require the
Authorware plugin. Or are you confusing the Authorware Web
    Player with the
Flash player? They are not the same thing.
First, check to see if the Authorware Web Player plugin is,
    in fact,
    installed. In Firefox, type "about
lugins" (without the quotes) in the
Address bar. Look for Authorware Web Player. If you find it,
    close Firefox,
and go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins and delete
    np32asw.dll.
Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your login
    name>\Application
Data\Macromedia and delete the "Authorware Web Player"
    directory. Then
restart Firefox and see what happens.
Your symptoms are so strange, I wonder if you didn't get to a
    spoofed site
and have downloaded a virus or some other malware. If I were
    you, I would
update my virus signature files and run a complete system
    scan.

  • Screen resolution in T400

    Hi everybody
I'm thinking about buying a T400 to replace my old T41. Comparing the features for the laptop, I've seen the native resolution for the T400 is 1440x900 while for my current laptop is 1024x768. In case of buying the new machine, I'd be using XP instead of Vista. My question ...Is that laptop "usable" at that resolution (1440x900) with XP? It seems XP don't scale fonts as well as Vista.1024x768 for a standard 14" screen is perfect to me, but I'm not sure about 1440x900...
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for your reply, migle.
As told, my current laptop is 14.1" and 1024x768, which means 91.43 PPI.
Now, I'm also trying a Netbook and it's 10", 1024x600, 118.68 PPI. This screen is very uncomfortable to me, the fonts are too small.
    The WXGA+ T400 is also 14.1" at 1440x900, 120.43PPI so it's even worse.
I spent around 8 hours at day looking at the screen and I wouldn't like getting blind in a couple of months, I've got just this pair of eyes
I've also tried to get price for other models with lower resolutiones but I've been told (and checked) that, from the large list of T400 and T500 models listed in Lenovo's site ( the link "other models" ), the dealers just sell a few of them. Bad luck for me, I suppose
     Muito obrigado, Migle

  • Windows 8.1: Error in the presentation of the Authorware-plugin window, clipping

    Hi all,
there is a new bug in Windows 8.1, the AW-content is not centered relative to the size of the plugin window (which is set in the HTML-Object-tag), but relative to the resolution of the screen!!
Therefore, only a part of the content is visible when the plugin-windows is smaller than the screensize (and this is usually the case). The effect of the false centering is visible after activating the full screen mode (F11).
This is only in Firefox 25, IE11, but not in Google Chrome! In Windows 8.0 all was OK.
    Look here
    Thanks
    Manfred

    Hi moodsman,
    >We are currently in the slow and painful process of converting our aw packages into HTML5
Same here! We have hundreds of modules that have to be converted.
    >It would be really great if we could make this available to our users. Would that be acceptable to you?
Yes, you can use the installer, although I do not know what the legal situation is.
But I don't think that Adobe has something about it, because the binaries (exe, dll, x32) have not been modified in any way.
And put it on your own server please.
    Here some technical details:
    1. The plugin-files (awswax.ocx and np32asw.dll) are installed in: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\AUTHORWA
    2. The plugin runtime is installed in: C:\Users\All Users\Macromedia\AWP
    3. Seven registry entries are set (point to and describe the plugin files and runtime).
         5 keys in SOFTWARE\MozillaPlugins\@adobe.com/AuthorwarePlayer
         2 keys in SOFTWARE\Macromedia\Authorware\WebPlayer
    4. Content of the awshkwv.ini:

  • X200s not anymore with high resolution screen?!?

    Hi,
I just checked the U.S. lenovo site and they do not sell the X200s with the 1400x1050 LED screen anymore.
Does anyone have a clue about the reason?
    best,
    Volker

Only the X6* tablet had 1400x1050 (SXGA+), this is a 4:3 format resolution. Do you mean 1440x900 (WXGA+)?

  • Diffrence between Codec C40 Premium Resolution Option & Multisite MS Option & Dual Display Option

    What is the difference between
    Codec C40 Premium Resolution Option
    LIC-C40-PR
    Codec C40 Multisite MS Option
    LIC-C40-MS
    Codec C40 Dual Display Option
    LIC-C40-DD

    Hi patilaniket
Codec C40 Premium Resolution Option is option key which affects the resolution you can transmit during a video conference.
    It should be required for:
    1920 × 1080@60 fps (1080p60)
    1920 × 1080@30 fps (1080p30)
    1440 × 900@30 fps (WXGA+)
    1472 × 1080@30 fps (SXGA+)
    1680 × 1050@30 fps (WSXGA+)
    1600 × 1200@30 fps (UXGA)
    512 × 288@60 fps (w288p60)
    768 × 448@60 fps (w448p60)
    1024 × 576@60 fps (w576p60)
    1280 × 720@60 fps (720p60)
Codec C40 Multisite MS Option  is the option key on an endpoint that enables that endpoint to support a multipoint call w/o MCU. For example with this option you can create conference call with max. 4 members w/o MCU. For more participants you need MCU.
Codec C40 Dual Display Option is the option key that enables you to show 2 different contents. For example:
Video ouptuts on the C40 are enabled by default. W/o the Dual Display option, you'll get the same content on both screens. With this option you can have video call on one screen and shared content on the second screen.

  • 1440 x 900 resolution on X200

I have an X200s that supports 1440 x 900 resolution but my x200 only goes up to 1280 x 800 but appears to use the same chipset.  How can I get my x200 up to 1440 x 900 resolution?

you need a new WXGA+ LCD, i think that would cost around around 400 to 600 dollars.

  • 13" and 1440x900 WXGA+

    Hello,
The idea about what I am going to ask came from a friend of mine who succesfully replaced his XGA screen for SXGA without any difficulty on his Asus laptop.
I want to ask about the compatibility between displays – is there any standardized kind of connector? Is there any standardized data stream? My idea is replacing the 13" WXGA screen for the one which can be seen in some recend Dell models or IBM x200 – the one with 1440x900 resolution.
I would be happy for any information regarding the topic.
    Thanks.

Then why on earth did you buy it?
Because I need a small laptop, but yet with enough power to run what I need.
I could have found a PC with a small size and a higher res screen, but the design is not as good as the Mac, and plus, PC's don't run OS X (and I didn't want to play the "hackintosh" game)
I just wanted a system that would work, and the 13" MacBook Pro is the closest I could find.

  • Projectors (resolution) and Apple TV

I need some help in clarifying two things here.
    1. What projector resolutions are going to work with apple TV (the new little black box)?  I have a projector that is XGA (1024 X 768).  Can it support apple TV?  I am also looking at other projectors... WXGA (1200 X 800) and HD projectors (1920 X 1080) (1080p).  Can a WXGA projector support apple TV?  I imagine the HD projectors can.
    2. If my XGA progector can support apple TV, has anyone found a device that works with converting HDMI to VGA?  http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011410 &p_id=8126&seq=1&format=2&res=1  Has anyone tried this device and has it worked?

Ok, I have checked the specs on my Toshiba TDP-T9U projector.  http://www.projectorcentral.com/Toshiba-TDP-T9U.htm says, "

The 10-bit DAC (digital-to-analog converter) can convert signals up to 1080p with 165 MHz/1.65 Gbps per channel bandwidth. "
So, I am assuming those 2 issues are taken care of, right?!  Perhaps I'll buy the converter when it comes off back order and I'll repost indicating if it works or not.  I'm sure there are many people in the same boat as me.
Thank you for clarifying those 2 issues.

  • Which HDTV resolution

Not sure where to post this one so I'm going to copy and paste and try a couple of forums and hopefully I can get a quick answer.
Thing is, I ordered a new TV today (arrives Saturday), a Pioneer 436SXE, but I'm now wondering whether to go back to the store and swap it for an LG 50PX4D.
Reason being that the resolution of the pioneer is 768 x 1024, which seems a bit strange since 720p HD TV is 720 x 1280. Now it may well be that the conversion is seamless but it seems a bit pointless to me.
So I'm all ready to go back to the store, after all the LG is 50" against the pioneers 43" and the res. is WXGA (1366x768).
The down side is that the LG is £ 200 more, doesn't have a digital sound processor (but I'm not a super quality audio guy anyway) and apparently blacks are blacker on the pioneer.
However, just as I've about decided on the LG, I consider the output of the mac mini I want to connect to it with a HDMI connector/switch. I assume the mini has a 768x1024 output, which ties up very well with the pioneers screen at 768x1024.
So now I am completely undecided, and if I'm going to change the order, I really need to do it tomorrow.
Questions I have are that I assume the pioneer will work well with the mac mini, but what about the LG. I'm sort of guessing that the TV will resize the output from the mac mini, but how will it look, will my picture get stretched or can I rely on the TV using different sized pixels and it simply being down to aspect ratio which I believe is 16:9 for both TV's. Or will the output from my mac mini simply use up 768x1024 pixels on the LG and leave the rest black.
Anyone with any input please provide it, as I say I need to decide soon.

Got the 50" Plasma and a 17"MBP, guess I'll just get the cable and see how it works, before committing to the mac mini.
