Autmatically dating in a template

I use Pages to create sales quotes. I have a template and I want the date I create the template quote to automatically fill in the date field and the date 30 days away to automatically fill in the "quote valid until" field. Suggestions?
Thanks.

Spreadsheet insertion is a missing feature of Pages. Tables and the formula editor are too weak for this purpose. You'd be better served using NeoOffice or Office for Mac.

  • Unable to find published output for this request

    Hi All:
I have created a XML report (Data Template and the RTF) in EBS and the program runs fine.
Then I changed/modified the Data Template and updated the xml file. When I try to run the report after the change
the report completes normal but have no output and gives me "Unable to find published output for this request"
I can not figure out what I am missing..
    Please help
    Thanks,

    Hi Octavio:
    Thanks, This was helpful.
It works after I end dated the RTF template and then run the program again. Now I have the XML with my changes in and then I can modify the RTF and upload it again..
    Thanks

  • In Pages 5, how to get date to automatically update upon opening a template?

I'm using Pages 5.2. In prior versions of Appleworks and Pages I was able to construct and save a template in which the date would automatically update to the current date when the template was opened. I have tried "Insert Date" and I can click on that to update to current date, but I don't always remember to do that and therefore, some of my documents are dated several months prior.
Can't seem to find how to do it under Pages 5.2 Anyone have help or a work around?

    I have the same problem.
What confuses me is that all the apple provided templates in pages seem to auto update their time and date upon opening.
So there MUST be a way to do it... although I've been unable to work out how...

  • Default a rtf template for a Xml publisher report!

    Hello,
How to default a layout template if multiple templates are registered for a Data template?
and also how to delete a template?
    Thanks,

Thank you all for the reply. I was talking about Xml publisher with EBS.
As said...we can not delete the template but we can end date it and we can set the default template from the system administration responsibility.
One more question regarding this : When we migrate the xml publisher seed data for this report( which include template which was endated) to other instance ( let say Development to Test)....we are unable to see the template in the test instance. All i meant was can we migrate the template which is end dated to other instance with the data definition??

  • About the template FSCM9.1 FP2 Peopletools 8.52.03 (v4 - July 2012)

    Hello,
Just tested quickly this new template delivered 2 months ago (July 2012).
As far as I undestand, it is just a recut of the one delivered in April 2012. At least it solves the main issue I reported in that other About the template FSCM9.1 FP2 Peopletools 8.52.03 (v3) about the network prompt missing.
But I still have remarks/issues on the template FSCM9.1 FP2 Peopletools 8.52.03 (v4) released earlier in July 2012.

...Well, I don't know if it triggers others problems yet, but the last line could reveale an error within the /etc/hosts file which has not been properly modified during deployment (especially IPV6, it probably should be removed) :
    [root@psovmfscmfp2 /]# more /etc/hosts
    127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain   localhost
    ::1     localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
    192.168.1.150   psovmfscmfp2.phoenix.nga psovmfscmfp2
[root@psovmfscmfp2 /]#_2. Now about the COBOL_
Despite I choosed to install Microfocus, COBOL does not work. Sample COBOL processes such as PTPDBTST and PTPDTTST finished in error.
The log is empty, here below the output from the file $PS_CFG_HOME/psft/pt/8.52/appserv/prcs/PRCSDOM/LOGS/stdout (psadm2) :
    =================================Error===============================
Message:     Process 10899 is marked 'Initiated' or 'Processing' but can not detect status of PID
            Process Name: PTPDBTST
            Process Type: COBOL SQL
            Session Id:   9313
    =====================================================================
OprId = VP1Note that I successfully tested AEs and SQRs.
Here is the command line fired that I can see from the process monitor > parameter (nga is being my run control id) :
PSRUN PTPDBTST ORACLE/F91TMPLT/VP1/OPRPSWD/nga/10899//0 I used the following trace setting on the PTPDBTST's process parameter (override) to see what happens :
%%DBTYPE%%/%%DBNAME%%/%%OPRID%%/%%OPRPSWD%%/%%RUNCNTLID%%/%%INSTANCE%%//%%DBFLAG%%But it does not generate more logs...
I also use "RCCBL Redirect =1" in psappsrv.cfg (reconfigure and restart appdom), then start the COBOL through menu PeopleTools > Utilities > Debug > PeopleTools Test Utilities, and run a "Remote Call Test".
I received "COBOL Program PTPNTEST aborted (2,-1) FUNCLIB_UTIL.RC_TEST_PB.FieldChange PCPC:2143 Statement:26", but it generated two empty files (PTPNTEST_VP1_0913064910.out and PTPNTEST_VP1_0913064910.err).
Next step, checking the folder $PS_HOME/cblbin, it is...er... empty... does this mean COBOL have not been compiled ? Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I replied 'yes' when it was prompted though (still have the screenshots)...
And we can see several folders dated from today and license seems ok from Microfocus directories :

To resume what I did to make the COBOLs working on this PSOVM :
    1. As root, start LMF (this has to be done only once)
    cd /opt/oracle/psft/pt/cobol/microfocus
    ./mflmman
    2. As psadm1, set proper env. variable and compile (setting env variable has to be done each time you want to compile COBOLs)
    export COBDIR=/opt/oracle/psft/pt/cobol/svrexp-51_wp4-64bit
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$COBDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    export PATH=$COBDIR/bin:$PATH
    cd $PS_HOME/setup
    ./pscbl.mak
    ./psrun.mak
    3. As psadm2, set proper env. variable and reconfigure psprcs.cfg, restart, restart (setting env variable has to be done each time you want to start the process scheduler, so probably better to append these in the .bash_profile)
    export COBDIR=/opt/oracle/psft/pt/cobol/svrexp-51_wp4-64bit
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$COBDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    export PATH=$COBDIR/bin:$PATH
    cd $PS_HOME/appserv
    ./psadmin
    4. Same as step 2, but with user psadm3.
    HTH,
    Nicolas.
PS: will it be the same issue on the HCM template delivered at the same time ? To be tested as well.
PS2: and yes, I tested it twice before posting, result is same.
Edited by: N Gasparotto on Sep 13, 2012 5:17 PM

Fortunately, the COBOL issue does not exist on PSOVM HCM9.1 FP2 PT8.52.06 delivered in July 2012 (v3). COBOL are properly compiled (tools and app COBOLs), cblbin is not empty and they run successfully on the first shot.

  • Need Expertise on Custom Photo Gallery Template

Hello there - this question isn't really just Mac specific, but I don't see a forum that will post to ALL Photoshop users.
I'm in need of some help customizing a Photo Web Gallery in Photoshop. I've done one entirely without tables, using my own CSS to style it. My thumbnail page would be similar to the coding for the index page of the Lightbox styled gallery in this tutorial: www.photoshoplab.com/lightbox-web-photo-gallery.html
However, my problem is that even though my design doesn't use tables, when I'm in the automation dialogue in Photoshop, it still shows the table row and column parameters - greyed out - from the last time a table-based gallery template was used. And Photoshop is using this info to decide how many thumbnails to put on the gallery index page. It simply multiplies the row * column to limit the number of thumbnails on that first page. Very odd and not very nice looking, as it won't finish a row this way.
I notice the Lightbox styled gallery template does away with the table for the thumbnails as well. How, then can I gain control over showing "X" number of images per thumbnail page? Say I have a gallery of 40 images - how can I show 20, max, per page? Or 10? Or whatever needs to be specified to suit the number of images in that gallery?
Also, at runtime, Photoshop is stripping some small but important bits of code out of my customized templates. I've tried to put some HTML elements in to force the "previous next" text below the thumbnails, but it gets stripped out during the generation of the gallery.
The results can be seen here:
    www.springfieldmo.gov/cityconnect/images/galleries/dating/index.html
Notice that the first thumbnails page shows 21 images. That's because the greyed out row, column info in the automate dialogue was 3 rows of 7 columns.
Is there any way to get to the actual code that Photoshop runs to generate the galleries? Seems like that's where it would be looking for the table info.
Any thoughts? I'd sure appreciate any info you can give or point me to someone who has done a pure CSS automated Photoshop gallery.

Thanks Curt, In fact I think I have found the files under
    user\Application Data\Adobe\Bridge CS5\Adobe Output Module\MediaGallery\
I got there as a result of your suggestion and although I didn't find /roaming/ I did find the following directories
    /document1/
    /preview/
    /previewinbrowser1/
So I am guessing these contain the files I need to work with.  Some of the files are json files which is a bit new to me but I think there is a fair bit of resource around about it.

  • Making templates with FLASH .swf's?

    Hi all,
I'd like to have a common flash header (that loads only
once). I originally wanted to use SSI, but my host does not support
SSI on the [cheaper] plan that I am on.
So, I tried making a template, but it doesn't load the flash
header. It loads the images fine, but not the flash. Any help you
can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Blessings,
    -Davide

  • Bought a Flash 8 Template

I bought a Flash 8 template for one of my customers.  Getting help is like pulling teeth. I make changes by
modifying a .txt file and I observe by clicking index.html. The expressions in the .txt file look like:
    &menu1=Home Page
    &menu2=About Us
    etc...
I don't recognize the language.  I have no idea what I am working with.  I have CS3 so I have Flash CS3.
I have FTPed what I have and the URL is www.danceations.com  I feel like I am out of my element.  Any help
    would be appreciated.
    Joepd

Thank you.  No I know that the text file drives the Index.html and the
.swf is embedded in the index.html but I was wondering what type of script or
whatever is the .txt file made up from.  For instance I changed the center
picture and I changed the song being played but I want to change more.  For
example I wanted to do away with the open and close player.  I removed the
top layer in the Flash.fla file and resaved and republished the .swf but
unfortunately it removed the song i wanted played. I am fairly competent but
this setup has me a bit stumped.

  • Oracle PeopleSoft CRM pre-built VM Template

    Hey!
Am looking for a pre-built VM Template of Oracle PeopleSoft CRM.. In the instructions it says:
    Visit http://edelivery.oracle.com/oraclevm
Complete your registration information (Name, Company Name, Email Address and Country) and click on the download agreement
Select "Oracle VM Templates" from the "Select a Product Pack" pull-down menu
Select "x86 64 bit" from the "Platform" pull-down menu
Click "Go" and then select from the list of Oracle VM Templates
Download and unzip the files and read the readme
But I can't find PeopleSoft listed in after hitting the "Go" button!
Is there any other way to download it?
    Thank you in advance.

It seems Oracle needs to revisit their pages more often, the link you pointed is really out of date. The PSoft OVM CRM91 PTools 8.50 you read from the page you linked is dated from August-2010 when I see my software repository...
The Peoplesoft OVM Templates have been globally decomissioned three years ago I think, you have no luck to find out one of them unless you have already downloaded them.
Nowadays, Peoplesoft is working with the so-called Peoplesoft Images, virtual machine for VirtualBox. Unfortunately, only available for those who have a valid Customer Support Identifier (paid support) and access to My Oracle Support.
The Peoplesoft images are rebuilt on regular basis, perhaps every quarter - depending of the application, with the highest maintenance level (application and tools).

  • Bought a Template for a customer Need Help

I know HTML but the coding to change things baffles me.  I am out of help with the seller who is in Australia.
This is what the .txt looks like that I change function with.
    &Home_txt8=<font color="#d0d0d0"><b>text goes here
It looks straightforward but I cant use /*  */  or <!--  to deactivate stuff so I can try it out.
    Any help would be welcomed.
the url of the site is www.danceations.com
I have done some mods but want to do more.
    Joepd

The replies are terse and don't come right away. I bought it from some
outfit in Australia.  When I asked how do I get rid of the pulldown phono  on
the index page the answer was "remove the first page of the Flash.fla.
Except it took out the song I added and I would need tro recreate a Flash  Page.
    Ugh!
    Not a good experience.

  • No valid HTML templates error on publish

    Hello,
I've been using flash8 on my computer without any problems since I've purchased it, until now. Suddenly I'm getting this error message when trying to publish. (it won't let me get to the publish settings)
"No Valid HTML Templates are available to complete this operation"
I've already reinstalled without any success, and have scoured the internet for a solution. It seems others have had this problem in the past but no one has a logic answer on how to fix this. So I come to you, I know my version is dated and not an actual Adobe product, but it was working fine. What could be causing this sudden problem?
    Please help, thanks.

Here's the solutions (thanks to San), just incase anyone else come across this problem. - cheers!
It sounds like the user  configuration is bad.  Please try removing the user configuration  folder.  Please note that after deleting the user configuration, there  are user  settings, such as panel position and saved jsapi commands,  will be removed or reset so you might want to save the important files  you want to reserve in user configuration before removing the  user  configuration folder.
    1. Quit Flash.
    2. Delete the following  folder:
    Win 7 and Vista:  HD:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS5
    Win XP:  HD:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local  Settings\Application  Data\Adobe\Flash CS5
    Mac:  HD:/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/\Adobe\Flash CS5
    3.  Relaunch Flash and see if it fixes the problem.
    Thanks,
    San

  • HT3384 Template will not open; Pages does not respond when one chooses template other than blank

The Pages template system crashes when I attempt to choose a template other than blank.  How do I fix this problem, so that I can successfully choose any template that I desire?

Is it all templates or just a few? It could be a corrupt font or duplicate fonts or an out-dated font. Launch Font Book & validate fonts & check for duplicates.

  • Div not recognised in template

    Hi, first ever question.
I have a template page with standard divs, Header, Nav, Content, Footer all are contained in a wrapper div and all working as expected.
I have inserted a new div to sit in between the content and footer, The box properties are set so that they only take up 2/3 of the area and I have put a 2 px border around it.
When vewing it in Dreamweaver it looks exactly as I was expecting to see it.  However when I upload and view in a browser the text I have inserted appears across the entire length of the page and the border is missing.
I would really appreciate some direction.
    Thanks

OK, I get it, common sense stuff, should have known better.

<p>As you may or may not be aware, Bambach has been asked to test for non-transmission of internal ignition for the following cables    19285BES, 40670BES, 30308BES, 42505BES, 19290BES &amp; 15790BES.</p>
<p>Test Safe, Londonderry are to conduct the tests and are scheduled to start this Saturday 17th March. An order has been placed. </p>
<p>The work will be done over weekends using paid overtime otherwise work could not start before the end of April at the earliest.</p>
<p>Many of the cables have been in use without any problems for more than 12 years without any problems. Unfortunately the DII Gazette Notice dated 25th January 2008  escaped our attention due to staff changes. Otherwise tests would have been carried out then.</p>
<p>Although the above tests are to be conducted I do emphasize that no cable, including the above, leaves these premises without rigorous routine and sample testing.</p>
<p>The cables listed above are the only Bambach product that require testing for <br />
non-transmission of internal ignition. No other product is effected </p>

  • PE7 Loops forever generating DVD Menu with Blue Notes template

I have observed that PE7 will loop forever while generating the DVD Menu (when the target is either a DVD or a directory).  This will always happen when using the Blue Notes template if there are more than one main menu markers in the video to be produced.  It does not happen if there are one or no main menu markers.  It also does not happen with other menu templates.  I've confirmed this problem on multiple computers even after a fresh install of PE7.
It starts to loop after all the media has been processes right at the beginning of the write to the DVD or directory.
Where can I get a Blue Notes template that works properly?

I don't think a screen capture will help.  The problem happens with any test file that has two main menu markers on it.  This causes the blue notes template to duplicate the main menu with one marker on each.  If it makes a difference, I'm using a 16:9 aspect ratio for the video project.
My Blue Notes _mm template is dated 9/16/08 and is 3,855,333 bytes (same as your 3.765 KB in the explorer view).  This happens with or without any scene menu(s) present.  My guess is a bug in the Blue Note main template.
