Auto BCC yourself question

I have two mailboxes set up in mail.
One .mac and one pop. The .mac is for personal and the pop is a mirror of my work email.
What i want to be able to is set up the auto BCC yourself function only on the emails i sent from my pop account and not the .mac account.
At present it is set up on both and i have to keep manually deleting my .mac email address from my BCC field whenever i send a mail from that account.
Is there a way to set up auto bcc from one account and not the other.
Thanks

No. The only setting available for that is global for all accounts. It’s either all or nothing.

  • Why would you want to always BCC yourself?

I know this is an arbitrary question, but I was just writing an iPhone tutorial and I saw the option, "Always BCC Myself". Apple thought it so important as to give the feature its own slider in the menu, so I wondered "who are these people who want to always BCC themselves, and why?". I find this very curious, as BCC'ing yourself is a lot like just merging your inbox and sent folder. Why would anyone want to do this.. what practical purpose does it serve.. does anyone out there know?

Some people only have POP3 email accounts. With a POP3 account, if you are using the iPhone as well as a computer email client, you may want to keep some record of messages you have sent all in one location, perhaps the computer email client. However, if you reply to someone using the iPhone, you would not have that record on the computer email client. BCC yourself provides you a copy you can pick up on the computer email client and then move to the Sent folder for a record. While this is not necessary for IMAP or Exchange, not everyone has that luxury.

  • My ipad/iPod CC/BBC's every mail I send - dont have auto BCC ticked.

I have my Google mail account set to forward all my gmail to my MobileMe account, and it works superbly, I get everything pushed and my calendar etc are in sync. However, when I go to send any mail on my iPad or iPod it CC/Bcc's me in every time. I do not have the auto BCC checked in the settings, and it doesn't double up when using OSX mail, so it has to be something to do with iOS. Any ideas? Ot's driving me nuts as I was hoping to use my ipad to do my mail during the day but can't at the minute.
This even happens when I use the Ovi account I have set up on my ipad, so it cant be the Googlemail settings, it has to be the IOS settings.

  • How do i turn off the auto bcc function on ipad mail? i have turned it off in settings but it keeps happening.

I want to turn off the auto bcc function in ipad mail.  I have done it in settings but it keeps happening.  surely this is a fault or there is an easy way to fix the problem.

I've got options for 2, 5, 10, 15 minutes and Never. Have you got an Exchange email account on your iPad ? 'Never' can be removed so as to protect a company's potentially sensitive email - they may not want the iPad being left/stolen with the emails on it accessible. If you remove the account the Never option will probably reappear

  • Need to know how the AUTO BCC feature works on T-Mobile USA

    HI,
am hoping to get an explanation on how the Auto BCC on T-Mobile USA works in the background. I have an 8900 that is setup on exchange using T-Mobile account settings and uses the Outlook Web access email.
When emails are sent from the device, a copy gets sent to the sent items which is fine.  I would like to know that if I use the auto BCC within T-Mobile if those email are being sent from exchange or the Blackberry servers in Canada?  Also will the emails that are forwarded be sent to the sent item of the exchange server?
    thank you in advance

    Hi teckystuff,
Is your email is integrated in your BlackBerry Internet Service account as an OWA account?  If so, when you are sending from your BlackBerry you are still sending from your exchange account. Your device is using the BlackBerry Internet Service to communicate with your exchange account so the BCC sent from your device email integration is still being sent from your exchange email account whether on the device or from Outlook or OWA. Any email you send or forward from your device should be posted to your sent items folder on exchange.

  • Auto BCC on BBZ10?

Recently updated to a BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone, and all is well except one problem.  On my old blackberry (Bold) I had the option to setup an Auto BCC (So for every email I sent certain people were automatically BCC'd), and I can't seem to find this setting on the Z10.  I've heard other people say that BB forgot/didn't implement it, can anyone shed some light on the situation?
    Thanks

I migrated from a BB7130e, which I had for a looong time.  I chose BlackBerry because I wanted to retain my extensive list of contacts and my calendar, which I keep in Outlook.  I am disgusted to find that I can no longer sync with Outlook, nor can I bcc myself, and now I find that I cannot leave messages on the server.  My primary mode for email is the PC, and I want all my messages to be downloaded and stored on it.  When I delete the messages from my Z10, they are no longer available to download to my PC.  I guess I need to sync my PC with the server before I delete anything from my Z10.  Makes me wonder why I was loyal to Blackberry.  I guess I need to evaluate the Windows phones.  I still have a week to return this one.

  • Auto bcc on Passport

I am struggling to find out if I can auto bcc for my e mail accounts. I use both IMAP and POP accounts. Is auto bcc available for OS 10 devices?

    welcome
ive never used bcc before but thought it worth a challenge.
    for example
new email, reply or forward email > tap 3 dots bottom right and bcc is in that sidebar menu.
no idea about auto bcc though sorry.

  • Auto bcc to myself

Mail settings on the iPhone (2.0) allow for automatically sending a blind copy (bcc) of sent emails to myself. The problem is that the email address used for the bcc is the one indicated in my email account definition. There is no way to enter a different email address for that function as there is just an ON/OFF selection for the bcc function. However many spammers are spoofing one's own email address in the FROM field of their spam, therefore emails from me to me are automatically stopped by our anti-spam software. Can't Apple allow for the entry of a different email address to be used for these auto-bcc? This would solve that problem.

I too would like this feature. My Blackberry did it. I store all my sent mail in my gmail acct which is separate from the IMAP account that I have as the default.
Plus my spam filter discourages bcc to self since spammers use your address in their from field.
Come on Apple! Lets get this done!
    Thanks
    Adam

  • Where is "Auto Bcc to Sent Folder" on Q10?

Does anyone know where the "Auto Bcc to Sent Folder" feature is on the Q10?  Would like to have all e-mails composed on the Q10 sent to a specific e-mail address (as was so easily done on previous BB models and operating systems) but I cannot figure out how to perform this simple activity on the Q10.

My Inbox.  I've never had a need with former BB Operating Systems to ever sync other folders (since I was able to Bcc anything sent from my Bold, Curve, et. al.).  Sbcglobal.net's (i.e., Yahoo's) Contacts, Calendar, etc. features are so cumbersome and functionally incapable, I have always used and maintained those items with Microsoft's Outlook (which meant syncing was never an issue using the BB Desktop Manager).  You shouldn't overthink my situation:  I'm a very simple user, with very simple needs, that desires to still have the very simple tools that have always been built into the basic foundation of the Blackberry platform.  I am self-employed (i.e., a "one man company").  All of my e-mail is "work e-mail" (in one form or another).  There is no "enterprise setup" in my case.  As previously alluded to, my self-employment since March 2009 and the manner in which I have conducted business has not been an issue because of the basic complimentary functionalities between Blackberry, Outlook, Yahoo!, and Verizon.  With my most recent upgrade to BB's Q10 (which right now not seems to be anything but an upgrade), a seemingly significant fundamental change has occurred.

  • Setup an Auto BCC

    Hi,
We are testing a app from iHance to help automate the process of synching our Groupwise e-mail with Salesforce.com for
our sales reps. The product says you need to setup forwarding for email we send and receive. The inbound is easy as
we can setup a forwarding rule. iHance recommends we setup and auto-BCC for outbound email using a custom view.
Is this the only way to setup an auto BCC in Groupwise?
If so, is there any way I can assign that view to be the default view when the user clicks on New mail? Right now, they say
they can't remember to choose the view, they just automatically click on new mail and don't pay attention to the fact
that the BCC field is empty, so the email is not copied to the iHance server address.
    Please advice, thanks!
    Val

uh, posted too soon. I figured it out. Go into tools, options, environment, views, select mail, assign the custom view, save, viola!.
    (I really love Groupwise! :-) )

  • Logic auto rec enable question

    Hi!
Logic automaticly enable "R" when select track but only MIDI and Instrument track!
Is the same thing possible with audio track?
    Thanks!

    Man..
I ask this question about 2 yrs ago after leaving Nuendo and everyone seem to love the fact that logic does not auto arm audio track when selected. I also wished it would let me change track in the midle of recording a track and auto arm the new track and continue recording.
