Auto Buffering in StrobeMediaPlayback

I use Strobe Media Playack to play the video from Adobe media Server via RTMP. in my case Player takes more time to start playing the video & also how to enable the autoBuffering to the player like Youtube and other flash player do.
Meanwhile i tried to play the same video via RTMP with the FlowPlayer, which doesn't take much time to start & autoBuffering also working fine.

Please can you provide BT Speedtester results for the daytime and evening.

  • Auto Fast-Forward when buffering airport?

    Hello,
    I have noticed a problem in iTunes ever since I upgraded to iTunes 7.
    It is, that when I begin to play music on my Airport Express, iTunes will begin the song in fast-forward, and not in play. To correct, I have to pause and un-pause. Once I fix it, it wont happen again until iTunes stops completely and starts again, (usually when I quit). Not a huge bug, just want to know if there are any common fixes.
    I have 7.0.2.
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    I have that problem all the time with synced HD video. If I fast forward or rewind, the video will start sputtering after that. I don't think it's your network, it's probably a glitch in the ATV.
    In any case, if you're streaming from a Mac via wifi, make sure you turn Time Capsule off. If it starts running while you're streaming, it will definitely degrade performance.

  • ITunes Home Sharing No Longer Auto-Plays On The iPad?

    I have my movies on an external G-Drive connected to my Mac with FireWire.
    iTunes has Home sharing on using an Airport Extreme.  On the iPad when I select
    the Shared Tab, my movie collection cover art begins to load as normal.  Then I
    Select a movie and the cover art is displayed on the right and the movie info on the
    left.
    The problem is when I select the play button from that screen. The iPad screen goes
    black and nothing else happens?
    If I tap on the black iPad screen the movie controllers then pop up and if I hit play then
    it begins to play.  It used to play automatically right after I selected play from the splash screen.
    Any suggestions?

    It appears that the buffering is taking an unsual longer time to load everything and this may be preventing the auto play from playing the movie as instant as possible.
    I also noticed that if I go to edit a movie file on itunes it is taking a bit longer for the selected file to pop up for my edit.

  • Problem with Freezing/buffering

    Hi people,
    i have a problem with my 8520 curve. A lot of the time when i go to use it, it has the wee black square in the middle of the screen ( like the hands going round on a clock ) it reminds me of the internet buffering when you are trying to watch something on your computer. I have tried the battery pulls to fix it have any of you good people any idea how to fix it I would be grateful for any advice thank you.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
    KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
    It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
    If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
    But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

  • Double buffering daqmx

    I understand that DAQmx is supposed to do double buffering automatically.  When I run the example below in continuous mode, It will run continuously without error.  when I hit stop, it will give me a "Not enough memory to complete this operation." error.  This error occurs only when i've acquired greater than about 70M samples.  If I don't hit stop it will run to about 300M samples, give the above error and also an unspecified Labview error.  The rate does not appear to affect this.  Am I actually double buffering?
    Does it only do double buffering with the "Continuous Samples" mode?  I've been using the example below with both continuous and finite samples and in both cases it seems to acquire more samples the 64MB.
    Does this have anything to do with what i'm seeing?

    You are creating the second buffer in your application. DAQmx is not at fault here. You are wiring the output from the DAQmx Read VI to an auto-index tunnel on the While Loop. As your program runs this auto-index tunnel builds an array of every value that was sent to it in every iteration of the loop. So as time goes on, this array gets bigger and bigger. Eventually you will run out of available memory.
    You should look into other ways of streaming data out of a loop, such as using Queues. You could then have a background loop to handle any data analysis or display.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

  • Start Buffering Without Autoplay

    Hello, I'm trying to get my video player to start buffering without also auto-playing. Basically, I want the player to start buffering the video asap, so that, hopefully, by the time they hit the play button, it's buffered enough for them to start watching. I've seen some posts that mention a play-pause sequence, which I do, and that makes it start buffering. The only issue is that eventually causes the TimeEvent.COMPLETE event to fire, which is how I'm determining if the video has finished playing. I tried putting a seek(0) after the pause, but that throws an illegal operation exception; apparently the player can't yet seek. If I wrap the play-pause sequence in an if that checks canSeek, it never gets called. Is there a better way to be doing any part of this process? Is the TimeEvent.COMPLETE event not the right thing to be using to determine if the player has finished playing? Is there an autoBuffer flag that I'm just missing?
    Shaun

    So I discovered another issue I was having: it was calling the play-pause sequence multiple times, which seems like a bad idea. It's not just calling it once, but it never gets into the play state. This is the code I have for the play-pause sequence:
    if (player.canPlay && player.canPause && !hasPlayPaused) {
         hasPlayPaused = true;
         trace(">>> play-pause start");
         var v:Number = player.volume;
         player.volume = 0;
         player.play();     player.pause();
         //player.seek(0);     player.volume = v;
         trace(">>> play-pause done");}
    And this is the output:
    >>> play-pause start
    >>> 0: paused
    >>> play-pause done
    It's only changing its state once. If I then hit play, the state change event doesn't fire, but it does start to play. Same when I then hit pause. The next time I hit play it does fire, though. I have the play-pause sequence in a timer, because I couldn't find an event that allowed it to happen. The canPlay event never fired. Any insights given this information? I feel like I'm probably doing something terribly wrong.

  • How to Prevent Endless Buffering after Playback?

    I'm using the Strobe Media Playback player.
    The video works very well on both iOS and Desktops, (I'm very pleased), but I'm seeing an anomaly after playback ends.
    When the video has finished playing, it begins buffering, or at least the "Buffering..." animated display appears, (see image below).
    This occurs only when viewing the desktop versions of the videos.  When I view it on an iPhone, the Buffering... message doesn't appear.
    How do I prevent "Buffering..." from appearing after a video finishes playing?  It gives the impression something's broken, or that more video is about to play.
    Here's the html I'm using to link to the Strobe Media Playback .swf:
    !-- xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  FLASH/ANDROID VERSION  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -->
      <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>

                                  var params = {};
                                  params.allowfullscreen = "true";
                                  var attributes = {};
    swfobject.embedSWF("http://myFMS.scoe.net/videoPlayer/swfs/StrobeMediaPlayback.swf?src=http://myFMS.scoe.net/v od/myProject/myVideo_manifest.f4m", "myAlternativeContent", "325", "247", "10.1.0", "expressInstall.swf", flashvars, params, attributes);

  • Auto-download season pass TV show episode to Apple TV

    Is there a way where I can set Apple TV to auto-download the latest episode of a TV show that I bought a season pass for?
    The reason I need this is because, when I try to stream it, depending on the network speed, sometimes it takes a long time. So I have to set it to stream and then pause it in order to let it load up before playing it. I've noticed that network speed is much faster during the day when everyone is at work (so am I) so would love it if Apple TV downloads the latest episode and it is ready to play when I come home.

    patrix99 wrote:
    But it must have some storage because I do play the episode, pause it to let it download at least halfway before I play it. So technically, it is not streaming it the way Netflix or Hulu does.
    Correct.
    The black AppleTVs have 8GB of solid state memory.
    Whereas Netflix adapts quality downwards for slower connections, iTunes purchases/rentals are fixed size and  quality for given resolutions (SD, 720p/1080p), so if your internet is slower than needed to play near instantly some/most/all of the movie will 'buffer' into that 8GB of memory, and the device calculates when enough has arrived to allow it to play without interruption.
    The problem is that using AppleTV while a movie is buffering to do other things almost always flushes that buffe/downloaded portion without warning - forcing it to start from scratch when you decide to try to play.  The memory management is simply poor for slow connections -Apple assume everyone has fast/unlimited broadband.  The AppleTV1 was much better in this regard because it actually had proper storage and could hold several rentals.

  • Skype Auto adjusts the mic even with the option un...

    Everytime I start a game and I'm on Skype with my girlfriend, my mic blows her ears out.
    This isn't even just starting up a game for the first time, if I'm playing a game like Heroes of the Storm, every time we start a new game, the mic will auto adjust itself to the loudest possible setting.
    I have unchecked the mic's auto adjust propery and it still does it.
    I have gone into windows and unchecked the box to allow applications to take control of my mic.
    I have gone into regedit and copy-pasted a solution that was supposed to stop this from happening as well.
    This bug is incredibly annoying and I will stop using Skype if it continues. I don't want a program that takes over my mic because it knows better than me what volume it needs to be at.
    Anyone have any clue what the heck is going on and how to fix it?

    Hi,
    I take it you mean Microphone Enabled is Ticked in the video Menu ?
    And that the Mic in System Preferences > Sound > Input matches the one in iChat Preferences (Video Section) and that the bar moves in both places ?
    In the iChat Preferences > Video section change the Bandwidth Limit to read 500kbps as a starting point.
    iChat 5 "sees" your Internet Speed differently from iChat 4 and earlier and there may be greater speed differences between your Buddies now.
    Open the Connection Doctor during a Chat and compare the Bit Rates an Frame rates.
    Try both ends on 500 kbps.
    Then when the Bit rates look settled adjust one end at a time upwards, allowing the Connection Doctor to settle again. (The slowness of change is the iChat Buffering taking effect).

  • Dynamic live streaming on AMS 5 on AWS buffering and skipping

    I'm having a lot of trouble getting Adobe Media Server 5 on Amazon Web Services working with live dynamic streaming, I've done a of this on Flash Media Server 4.5 and am trying to duplicate what I have done there on AMS since I got an email that FMS 4.5 will be dropped soon.
    I have tried replicating my own setup from FMS 4.5 and I have also tried using the base install and following Adobe's tutorial. I get the same results in both events.
    First, the HLS streaming appears to work fine. I've watch it on several iOS devices with no problem.
    I use StrobeMediaPlayback for HDS streaming and that's where there are problems. The streams usually play fine at first and even transition well, then after a few minutes I start getting a lot of buffering and then video skipping. The longer it goes on, the more it buffers and the larger chucks of video get skipped. Sometimes I also get and error that says "TypeError: Error #1009"
    I am using FMLE and both it and the server are set to use absolute time.
    Any help would be appreciated!!

    Hi,
    Welcome to Adobe forums.
    May I know the FMS URL and the stream name you are using inside the FMLE and make sure you have full permissions on Adobe media server folder. And also check the streams folder inside the livepkgr folder and see if you are getting all the files created.
    And would you mind if you can send me the logs folder at [email protected] so that I can analyse this issue at my end.

  • Cisco DVRs - What Happened to the Buffers?

    Hi Folks:
    I've had FiOS Triple-play for about 8 months now.  During that time, I've had my fair share of problems, mostly with misbehaving DVRs.  My experiences with Verizon's tech support were mostly negative (they were able to solve my problem only about 15% of the time).  So I have registered on this forum in hopes that those reading it might be better equipped to offer solutions.
    I have had lots of experience with lots of different DVRs, but this Cisco CHS-435HD sets a new record for behaving badly.  The following is the most recent example of many.  On most of my previous DVRs, if you tune to a specific channel and leave it there, 2 hours later you can rewind that channel as far back as 90 minutes and watch from there.  I believe that the Ciscos used to do that when I first got mine (June 26, 2012).  This feature is handy when, say, you want to rewind the local news to the beginning, and be able to flip through the dozen or so commercials.
    NOW al of a sudden, both of my DVRs are only buffering between 20 and 30 minutes.  So if I come in at 5:35PM, I'm unable to rewind to 5:00PM.  I have done the usual hard resets on both machines.  Hence, my question: WHO CHANGED the maximum buffer time?  And WHY?  .

    Wow, this is a new one for me. I haven't heard of it before. I don't own the Cisco. My really old Motorola SD-DVR only allowed 30 minutes. But as long as I've had my old Motorola MRDVR, I've always had the ability to rewind the last 60 minutes.
    The reasons I can think of off the top of my head that you can't rewind the last hour:
    A recording ended on that channel, leaving you tuned to the same channel, but unable to rewind past the end of the recording.
    Someone else changed the channel, then changed it back. You came in after and assumed it was always on the same channel the whole time.
    The box was reset within the last hour. Was there a red screen when you turned it on?
    An EAS alert interrupted the buffer within the last hour.
    Can I buy a vowel?
    The standard solution for all things DVR related is:
    Menu > Customer Support > Fix FiOS TV Issues > Set Top Box Auto Correction
    From here follow the prompts using your arrows and OK button to select and reboot your DVR.
    Does this do anything different than just unplugging the box (which was the old stand-by solution)? I don't know. Sometimes it actually works.
    Best of luck.

  • Real-time PID control and continuous buffered acquisition. Does it work together?

    I use the "real-time PID control.vi" that acquires single AI point and generate single AO point in every "while loop" iteration to control a piezo actuator motion. Simultaneously I need to do (in another loop) a continuous buffered acquisition of another two AI channels (in the same rate as first AI channel).
    It does not work together.
    Does anybody know how to fix it?
    Platform: LabVIEW 6.1
    Board: PCI-6024E

    Hi,
    I would try to avoid the idea of using a separate loop since the PID
    loop is a continuous acquisition and will require un-interrupted access
    to the Analog DAQ system of the board. The last thing it needs is for
    you to attempt to start other AI functions at the same time.
    Configure your AI in the PID loop to read in multiple channels (Just add
    some more channels to the Input Channels Control. Separate the data as
    it comes out of the AI single Scan function using Index Array or other
    Array functions into that needed for the PID and that needed for your
    other data (the example is already doing this to make sure it only gets
    1 channel of data into the PID). If you don't need to sample all your
    channels of data all the time you can throw some data away as
    required.
    Obviously your other channels are now arriving one sample at a time so
    if you might need to build an array, insert into an array or use Auto
    Index on the loop if you are data logging.
