Auto Clear Downloads List in Firefox 15 without turning off browsing history (for some reason they are one option)?

"Remember my browsing and downloads history"
In previous versions they were separate check boxes.
I tried "about:config" :
"browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads" changed to "true" but it didn't seem to do anything. Not sure if that is the correct variable too.

One option you could try is to enable clearing of '''Download History''' in '''Tools '''('''Alt '''+ '''T''') > '''Options '''> [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Options%20window%20-%20Privacy%20panel?as=u Privacy] > '''Settings''' when Firefox exits.

The [https://services.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/discovery/addon/config-descriptions/ Config Descriptions] add-on adds helpful source comments in about:config.
As of now, the browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads seems to work only with the new downloads panel in [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/ Aurora].

The new downloads panel can be enabled/disabled in the current Firefox release version as well as the [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/ Beta] version by toggling browser.download.useToolkitUI. Thanks TheOldFox.

hello, firefox 19 has introduced its own integrated pdf viewer - if you want to switch back to the plugin you've used before to view pdfs just go to firefox options > applications & scroll down and define the default action for the '''portable document format (pdf)'''.

How do I download OS 10.6.7 to an external drive? For some reason I get an error message when I try to download directly to my MacBook Pro from Software Update or from the Apple Downloads site.

Instead of downloading one by one simply download the 10.6.7 'combo' update from Apples support site, it contains all previous updates in one package. -
so I've downloaded a tv series from iTunes onto my macbook pro, for some reason the episodes on my iTunes won't play at all. no sound and no images. any suggestions and help?

As you have match, I suggest that you create a new library by holding ctrl whist launching iTunes. Select create new library. Sign into iTunes Store and activate match. You will now have access to your music and will be able to stream your music.
Options : get a new external drive formatted for mac and either download music from match or copy music from old drive to new one. Alternatively you could reformat old drive and download music from match - I would not be comfortable using this option as it means erasing drive before being able to use with mac.

Also I was having trouble accessing some stuff with my bank and kept getting messed up with MS Inet explorer. The very first thing the IT people told me to do was switch to Mozilla Firefox.

You can only download songs from Apple iTunes Store or sync from computer iTunes music section. -
my computer did restart because i had to press the reset button, i had 30 tabs and when i reopened Firefox instead of opening the 30 tabs i saved, it just went to the homepage, it didnt even have an error has occurred would you like to restore the tabs this happened a day ago

this happened a day agoYour useragent says your are running Firefox 3.6.13 -> is that true.
If not, do the following and post back your new Firefox version:
* Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
* If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
* Filter = general.useragent.
* Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
* Then restart Firefox -

I dont know why this would happen. Its happened to a few songs. i pay the full price for them and when i go to play them, they skip to the next song shortly after. Please help.
If those are purchased tracks (from ITS) then this is an old problem, and a continuing one.
The two most common fixes are either to work through ITS Support and get different copies of those tracks (they will never work correctly on the Shuffle as they are, and might actually get worse with time), or go through a process of burning those tracks off to a CD and then reimporting them back into iTunes.
Both of these have been discussed at length in these and other forums. Search for those threads and see what you want to try. -
I've tried several times to clear my search history without any success. I've been able to do so in the past, but this is the first time I've tried in a while and for some reason it will not let me check the box for "Form and Search History." Then sometimes it will let me check that box, but when I click "ok" to apply the clearing of the search history, nothing happens and it still remembers all my sites. At that point I try to clear it again and its back to not letting me check the "Form and Search history" box (I've gone through this cycle a few times). I tried looking through some of suggested articles that Firefox sent me too, but I don't know much about computers and just doing the things they seem talking about isn't working either. Please help, thanks!

I have been trying to download java for my macbook pro, but for some reason the function is not recognizing the internet. I am on and have checked several times .... I have checked through both safari and firefox but to no avail. Thanks for any help anyone can give.Not really a reply just some added info:

I am connected through Wi-fi if that makes a difference. -
Downloading a file would normally bring up an option to open the file with the appropriate program or save it - for some reason now it just downloads straight to the download folder. Why? Problem with Firefox or something else? It's very frustrating - sometimes you want the file opened first so it can be discarded or saved to a different location.

Yes, if you repurchase it you may lose your progress. The exception would be a game that stored all your progress on a server under your ID
If you want to retain your progress you have two choices:
1. Don't apply the update.
2. Use your fathers account password to update the game.
