Auto Convertion of TRs to TOs

Hi All,
We have implemented this functionality of autoconvertion from TRs to TOs once the goods issue takes place against a reservation or stock transport order. But now some of the TRs are not getting converted automatically. When the same is processed manually through LT04, it creates a TO without throwing any error messages.
Can anyone please throw some light on this issue. Is there any system log maintained for such background jobs where we can check the reason why the convertion did not take place. Thanks.

Values of Non-Qualifiers (lookups) not auto-converting.

We've been trying to use Import Server to automatically import records (XML) that had data for qualified lookup tables. Apparently there is an issue with namespaces in both the schema that we mapped to and the source field.
After removing the namespaces, we now have an issue with the non-qualifier that uses a lookup table not automapping it's values and thus retaining the compound field at the Customer main level.
First, the Partner Function is mapped to the Partner Function flat lookup table. At this level, the value auto-converts and the green dot is visible to the left.
Second, at the Customer Partner qualified lookup, the Partner Function is again mapped to the Partner Function lookup. This time, however, the values do not automatically convert and the "AUTOMAP" button must be manually pushed for them to map. The other non-qualifiers (CustomerID, PartnerNum, PartnerSAP_ID) are also mapped and their values auto-convert (green dot).
Finally, at the Customer main level, all of the non-qualified field from the Customer Partner table are mapped and all auto-convert except for the Partner Function field. This requires us to manually push "Automap". Then, and only then, does it allow us to right click on one of the fields and create the compound field to map to the Customer Partner field. Again, the value mapping is not automatic but must be done manually.
This map is then saved and ImpMgr closed. When the IM is reopened with the same map, the compound field is not recreated due to the fact that the Partner Function values did not convert. Once these are redone manually, then and only then can the compound field be recreated and value mapped.
When this same map is used in the Import Server, the error is that the qualified fields cannot be mapped. This brings us back to the lookup fields not value mapping. Likewise, if this same file is opened in Import Manager mannually, and the map applied, it STILL does not convert the values and the Compound Field for the Qualified L/Up table is dropped.
We are using MDM 5.5 SP4 Patch 3.

Yes, this is a very important point and I should have noted it in my original post. Yes, my Default Batch Handling settings are:
Yes - Automap unmapped values
Add - Unmapped Value Handling
Plus:
Replace - Default multi-valued update
Append - Deault qualified update
None - Default matching qualifiers
Also, in my mdis.ini file, my settings are:
Automap Unmapped Value = True
Unmapped Value Handling = Add
Always Use Unmapped Value Handling = True
It used to work when we were in SP4, Patch 2, but have since upgraded to Patch 3, Hotfix 2(?) and can't get it to work.

I How to block iTunes option to auto convert in predetermined audio player

My PC have OS Windows XP and I use for years Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic to play my music and video files, so I know quite well their operation and all their options. The naughy problem is that every time when I connect the iPod to my PC or if I open iTunes automatically iTunes auto convert in the predetermined audio player without any advice or previous authorization, an also change the extension configuration of my favorite music players. This changes force me each time to uncheck the audio option of iTunes and reconfigurate the extensions configuration of my favorite players so I can use them as always to play the audio files.
My question is: What I can do to block definitively the option of iTunes to auto convert as predetermined audio player ,except the option is activated manually.

You should be able to take care of this problem with your Windows XP settings.
Right-click the CD Drive in Windows Explorer, select Properties, go to the AutoPlay tab, select Audio CD in the drop-down menu and then choose the appropriate option from the Actions commands.

When downloading .ics file safari auto convert it to .vcs file

When downloading an .ics (event.ics) file from my site, safari on mac auto convert it to .vcs (event.ics.vcs) file. How can I stop it? Safari on Windows doesn't do this. I am new in Mac, please help.

I have an iPad air and have downloaded the microsoft app excel. I have an email with an excel attachment. When I "tap to download" the attachment, it auto converts to a PDF file. I want it to open in excel. Please help.

If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.

Is there a way to not auto-convert documents to FrameMaker 9 when opening lower version files?

Is there a way to prevent FrameMaker 9 from automatically converting lower version files to FrameMaker 9 when opening them?
It becomes a problem when I just want to view the files. I have to save each chapter in the book to the lower version file again after viewing for my teammates to use them.

*** haven't checked, because I don't have any pre-9.0 files easily available *** ... but from what I remember, if you're really just viewing the files in 9.0 you should need to save them explicitly back to an earlier version. FM may mark the files as "changed" when it opens them, but that's because it checks things like datestamps and cross-references. If you do not, yourself, explicitly change any content in the file you have opened, you don't need to save the changes; just close the file unsaved. Check my supposition with a couple of files before relying on it! And other people will be able to give you a more detailed explanation of why file you haven't touched yourself still show up as "changed".

Auto convert special characters

Good day all and thanx for your help.
CS3 & trying out CS5.
A couple of the sites I do, are written in Afrikaans, ons of the 11 official languages in South Africa.
Afrikaans makes use of characters such as ê, ë, ô, ü, é, ö and so on. I normally forget to change it in code view and make use of &... It then displays as funny characters in browser. Is there a way I can learn/tell DW to auto change my special characters or do you perhaps have a good solution or tip for me.

that happens to me very often too. So I too thought it would be nice to change the special characters automatically. All I've found at that time was a payment program (in those days for CS3). It's still here after all:

Meanwhile, I'll do it in another way. When I finished one of my sides, I use the "Find and Replace"-function of DW. I start searching one of the special characters and after changing them (if necessary), I only replace one character and can start a new action. Look here for example (from my German DW where we have the same problems in our language):

Problem when auto converting from abap to abap oops in Nw2004w

Hi,
When i'm converting update rules to transformation i am prompted to create the infosource with name as 2lis_13_vditm_cp.
On clicking on the tick system is display message as
Pos. 1 of the InfoSource must be diff. to one of char.: 0123456789YZ..
Wanted to check if we will have to mandatory prefix Z or Y before the infosource name or is there any parameter to take care of this problem

Hi,
You can not use 0123456789 in the beginning of BW objects, these are SAP namespace.
Since you are trying to create one, use other characters as first letter.

Auto converting to jpg files?

So, I almost always shoot in RAW. I then unload all my pix from my cam into IPhoto. When I go to do anything with the pix, I notice that when I drag them out of IPhoto and into Photoshop (Elements 2 or 6), some of them have magically become JPG files. It seems random though. Some stay RAW, some are converted to JPG by the time I put them in PS. Is there some setting in IPhoto that will cause it to go through and start converting everything into JPG one pic at a time? If so, how do I turn that on/off? I have no idea what is going on here.

There's nothing magical about it at all. It's all explained in the Help.
Whenever you import a RAW file iPhoto automatically makes a jpeg preview of the file.
If you then "drag them out of iPhoto" you'll get the Preview. If you export them (using the File -> Export command, Kind: Original) you'll get the RAW file.
If you're editing them, then you do neither. Instead you can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
To make sure the RAW is sent to Photoshop for editing, check the box in the iPhoto Preferences -> Advanced pane where it says 'Use RAW when using External Editor'.

Logic won't auto convert mp3s for me.

...and there's more. When I try to import an mp3 file from the audio window in the arrange window, I get 3 messages. Could not create file!, Could not create file! and "Beat.mp3" - what kind of file is this? I then have an option to abort and I do of course. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Do I need to set up logic differently?

Logic can export mp3, not import. I think that's the result of not having that licence.
My advice:
list your required Mp3's in iTunes (or another app with this function) and convert them all to AIFF

Auto Convert Doesn't Do the Check Boxes

I created a document in Word, created a PDF from it and am turning it into a form. The form only consists of lines and check boxes. The check boxes are square and begin blank. I want the user to put an x or a check (I don't care) in them as necessary.
I used the automatic convert and it created fields where there were lines perfectly. But it ignored all the check boxes. Isn't there a way for it to automatically convert them too?

Additional three thoughts: First, is there anything I can do while still in MS Word to enable Acrobat to see the check boxes easier? Different font? Same font, but different "character"? Etc. Second, if there is no way the check boxes can be recognized and converted, is there a way to do an after-the-fact search-and-replace, searching for the check boxes and replacing them with clickable boxes. By the way, I don't need to capture data; I just need for people to be able to fill out the form on their computer and print it. Third, if Acrobat can't do this, is there third-party form software that recognizes check boxes?

Copied and/or 'placed' photos auto converting to black & white

i recently upgraded to version 9. i did not have the following problem with earlier versions. when i
copy & paste and/or use the "place" option my color images are
automatically being converted from color to black and white. any suggestions on how to correct this?

You can do this, please check SAP Note 953509.
Here is the workaround.
This is by design, but in XL Reporter 2005 SP01 PL6 and newer it is added a function for Report Designer to make Excel treat the dimension attributes as text.
To use this function, do the following:
u2022     Select the Excel cell in Report Designer which contain the ixDimGet that should be treated as text.
u2022     In the formula bar in Excel should display '=ixDimGet("ITM"; "ItemCode")'. Then select the fx button with tool-tip "Insert Function" on the formula bar.
u2022     A window "Function Arguments" should appear, and in the field "ForceString" enter 'TRUE'. Choose 'Ok'.
u2022     The formula bar should now display '=ixDimGet("ITM"; "ItemCode";TRUE)'.
u2022     Execute the report and see that the values are displayed asa text.

String auto-converts HTML characters?

Hi all, I have an XML document that contains a field like
this:
<someHTML>ThisIsBolded</someHTML>
Now, I want to put this correctly-rendered HTML into the
htmlText portion of a Text tag. Which I try to accomplish using the
following:

trace(nodeHTML); // Output: ThisIsBolded
(what!? I didn't replace anything!)
nodeHTML.replace("<","<").replace(">",">");
trace(nodeHTML); // Output: ThisIsBolded
(what!? replacement didn't do anything!)
myText.htmlText += nodeBody + "\n"; // Output: Plaintext
output, no bolding! But also no tags...?
Does anyone know what is going on? It seems like I can't
display HTML in the htmlText property. Any help would be
appreciated.

The maximum size of an array is 1000 elements.
The maximum number of arguments to a function is 1000. (This applies to functions that can have an indefinite number of arguments such as Choose).

No able to create TO in background with transaction LB10

Scenario:
1) LP21 to create Repleninshment TRs for fix bin
2) LB10 to convert the TRs to TOs
Situation:
When I click on create TO in foreground, following by F6 (stock removal background) it follows my search strategy and it works.
BUT when I select the TR and click on TO in Backgroung (see picture below)
I receive the follwoing message: No batch input data for screen SAPLSTXC 0100

http://You are right Jurgen. There is not printer defaulting here.
I had to enter a printer (LOCL) manually for the TO to automatically print in foreground processing.
I checked my OMLV configuration, I compared it to a Sandbox environnment that for some reason prints well and they are the same.
So what else can it be that does not populate a printer in the output device field?
I checked SPAD also. It seems ok too.
