Auto Delegation in OIA.

Hi All,
Is there any possibility to configure a review where the certification item for High level executives (CFO, CEO etc) can automatically be delegated to assigned security officer or somebody. Essentially these C level folks would not even get any information regarding the certification.
Has anyone configured anything similar with OIA.

Your point is valid. Currently you got to write the customized application for doing the same. You can modify the default worklist application to address delegate functionality.

IPad Calendar and Google Calendar?

I have a couple of Google Calendars that I use, both syncing with my MBP, the iPhone (the web) and now the iPad.
Setup was easy as, the calendars are syncing and showing up as expected with a big BUT.
If I add an entry on the iPad or the iPhone or the web it shows up across all devices and can be deleted from all devices, but I also have an auto rule on my work account to auto delegate all meetings to my Google calendar. These auto delegated meetings show up as un accepted (unless I manually accept them) and work fine on all my other devices, yet on the iPad I can't delete them (there is no option) but I can on the iPhone...
Has anyone seen this sort of behaviour? Is there something I am doing wrong?

and now to add a bit more to it, I have broken it even more.
I watched the father in law set up his new iPad on Windows over the weekend and noticed that he simply ticked the "sync mail" box, selected his accounts and all details (except the passwords) were transferred to the iPad automatically. I figured the same would happen for calendars on my Mac, so playing in iTunes (OS 10.6.3) I notice the tick box for "sync calendars" and decide to turn that on to sync an extra calendar I'm subscribed to in iCal. I left on sync all calendars (including those that were already setup on the iPad) and everything seemed to work....
until I go into Calendar on the iPad, the two original accounts are now doubled up, no problems I think, I'll just remove them from when I have manually added them. So I remove them, but none of the entries go away... After much clicking and restarting and adding and removing it seems that there is no way to delete a calendar from the iPad ON the iPad itself. It also seems if you just untick "sync calendars" in iTunes it just stops syncing, but doesn't delete the calendar... yet it doesn't show up in the settings as a calender, nor can I add new events to it. There is also no way to delete all calendars since if I manually untick all calendars and try to sync from iTunes it decides I must really mean "sync all" so switches to that and re-syncs everything...
I'm about 1 step away from simply restoring the whole **** thing and starting again

OIA 11g Certification accounts delegation by individual accounts and roles?

Can any one please clarify on this?
Is Oracle identity Analytics 11.1.1.5 patch1 is supporting account wise delegation or role wise delegation in certifications?
If not any other patch is going to help this?
In other words can attestor delegate some of the accounts or roles to some other person while certifying?
Is there any work around on this?
We can see proxy assingment settings but that is completely delegating certifications to some one.
Quick help is appreciated.

You can delegate all accounts belong to certain user to someone else in "User Entitlement Certification". This is available when you check the option "Employee Verification Required" while creating the certification. You cannot selectively select certain accounts to be delegated to another certifier.

Beehive enhancement of the day: auto-display subfolders in delegator's ws

A very very nice feature of beehive is delegation. A user can delegate its mail, calendar, tasks and contacts to another user. Typically this is used in a secretary / superior constellation.
We use this feature also to implement reliable mail contacts: external senders will primarily directed to pseudo accounts, and "real" mail users receive delegation rights to act on behalf of these addresses.
This has the advantage that of trans-personal, reliable contacts that need not be changed when users change.
A rough edge of this solution is that delegated mail folder tree structures are not automatically updated with the workspace linked in to the own personal OBEO profile: you are used to see OBEO detect the folder structure of your personal workspace (and reflects changes done by alternative clients like Zimbra), and you are used to see subfolder changes in team workspaces recognized by OBEO, too. Not so for delegated workspaces.
This forces the delegation recipient to subscribe to each folder change done by the delegator or another delegation recipient.
Here is an appropriate enhancement request for this:

This feature has been rejected on the grounds of performance and server scalability, but why then treat team workspaces differently?
Please second this ER through MOS if you agree that delegated folders structure should be updated automatically.

Auto-close a task

Auto-close a task
How can I set up a task so I can just use it to attach an email notice, then automatically close the task, so the next task in the delivery plan will become active?
Use the ServiceLink Dummy Adapter to create an auto-close Agent that will automatically close any task delegated to that Agent.
Then create your 2 tasks with their respective conditions and corresponding email templates, and associate them each with this Agent (in the Workflow Type dropdown list on the General sub-tab for the task).
Only one of the tasks will fire (based on the condition), and that task will be automatically closed by the Agent.
CREATING AN AUTO-CLOSE AGENT
(1) In ServiceLink, click Agents.
(2) On the Agents page, click Create Agent.
(3) Enter a Name and Action for the agent, such as "Auto-Close".
(4) For the Outbound Adapter, select Dummy Adapter.
(5) For the Inbound Adapter, select None (auto complete).
(6) Click Submit to create the Agent.
(7) Click Start Agent to start the Agent.
(8) The Agent will now be available in the Workflow Type dropdown list on the General sub-tab for all tasks.

Sorry the delay in getting back to you. Hm, so do you have the parent task and child task evaluated? I am guessing your version should have the ability to select when the conditional expression is evaluated (when delivery phase starts or acitivity become active) The child task that has the always false expression should be configured to evaluate when the activity becomes active. Also if you would like please attach a screen capture of the workflow you created?

Auto Delegate and Auto Remove Task

Hi all,
I am new on the BPM domain. Now i got some problem working on it.
First, could i set auto delegate in UWL page like what normal mailbox can do.
Second, if i forget to handle the task in UWL, and approve a purchase order in ECC, for example,
could i do some coding or enhancement via ABAP to tell BPM to delete the task in my UWL page.
In other words, sync BPM task status depends on status of the purchase order.

Hi Fishy,
For automatic delegation, you may setup Substitution Rules wherein you may specify that whom you want to delegate your tasks.
For the second one, I dont think that this is okay to have two accesses to the same task (one thru BPM and one thru ECC). One of the main purpose of Portal/BPM is to automate the manual process as well as restrict the access only thru one channel (i.e Portal). You should not access the ECC backend for modifications if you are having a process in Portal, this should be the ideal scenario.

Mail 4.4 Reply Forward Icon Not Displaying for Auto-generated emails

Does anyone have a problem with Mail 4.4...
For auto generated emails (system generated or confirmation emails), when forwarded these email, little icon on the left that pops up, its just simply not showing up...???!!!
And for the all other emails it works like it should...
Anyone? Solution? Help?

I finally figured out how to make this work for 2 accounts on exchange. I created my main account and then adding another account that I'm delegated for within the account. I also tried my main account and adding IMAP account with still no luck. What I ended up doing was adding two separate exchange accounts and named them appropriately. This solved the problem of sent messages going to the proper sent items folder and arrows appearing for Reply and Forward email responses on all machines. Works like a charm

DNS classless address delegation setup

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to setup my Leopard server to handle DNS reverse IP lookups on our half class C address range. I think I have everything entered correctly. By default the Server Admin GUI wants to auto setup the full class C range .1 - .255. We only have .128 - .255. Our ISP has set us up as the SOA for both our zones AND the IP range 128/25.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa.
I've tried to create a zone file with this name (128/25.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa.) which of course give me issues with the "/" so I've changed the zone file name to 128-25.xxx...
And everything looks correct and no other errors but this one comes up about ignoring out of zone data:

My ISP has setup their system to pull zone data from my DNS server. This is working fine for my domain names (zones) but not for the reverse ip.

You need to match the zone name your ISP has delegated to you.
We have one customer with the same setup working (Tiger server) but we have to do it manually not through the GUI.

I have used www.dnsreport.com / www.dnsstuff.com reverse lookup to see the DNS traversal ("backtrace"), but they now restrict usage a bit or you can pay to use their services.
Using that might reveal the correct name of the zone (if you don't get it working with the above name).

OIM vs OIA : Identity Certification

Hello Experts,
I need to analyze the Identity Certification feature of OIM 11gR2 vs OIA i.e. what advantage/disadvantage do one has over the other.
What all features are supported by one and not by the other. Is it really necessary to install OIA for the purpose of identity certifications or OIM 11gR2 is sufficient.
Kindly share some link/info which has this kind of comparison.

OIA : Assign Role Owner

Hi,
In OIA : Identity warehouse -> Roles -> New Role -> Ownership tab - > Add Owners.
Here at Add Owners step I can see only users which are imported from OIM (global users / end user)
And if I assign end user as owner of a role -> role membership approval task still goes to rabcxadmin.
Can we select OIA users as a Role Owner?
Is there any way to log in in OIA using global user/end user?
Please help me to understand this scenario.

What changes you did into : security-config-context.xml for certification user creation. I am n OIA 11.1.1.5.0 for me certifier user is getting created in rbacx-user-* tables without doing any change in security-config-context.xml file.
OTB role assigned to user :

Delegation function in E-Sourcing

Does anyone know whether E-Sourcing has a delegation function? If the approval is on leave, he can assign others to approve on his behalf? Or when someone is on leave, the administrator can help to put in on behalf for the approver? This function is available in SRM. How about in E-Sourcing? If this function is not available do anyone know whether you can write script to program that to happen?

Hi Lisa,
You have two options for delegating an approver. There are many other ways this can be done but with the information provided these are the two most likely choices..
1. The E-Sourcing/ CLM system can allow users with System Administration access to login as a another user and approve on their behalf. When the workflow is approved or rejected the system logs both user ids.
2. Do a Group Approval where only one member of the group has to approve. Include the original approver and their delegated resource in the group.

Approval Options in E-Sourcing/ CLM are the following:
Single User Approval
Group Approval where only one group member needs to approve
Group Approval where all group members need to approve
You can have multiple levels of approval. So for each phase of the approval process you can have an additional set or sets of approvers. In theory infinite number of approval phases and infinite number of approval steps in each phase. In practice we usually see 4-8 contract phases with 2-4 being approval phases and each approval phase has 1-3 approvers. But keep in mind every process is different.
Approvals based on value matrixes, contract values, Business Units, auto approval Etc. are possible.
Because the workflows are XPDL scripting and java based there is a high level of flexibility in how we select the approver change phases, validate document meta data, force loading of pdf contracts, etc..

How scroll through a list of items in list box with code in C# winforms to create auto scrolling

I am new to programming and I have been tasked to create a form to display information in list box controls on a big screen. The list boxes have to show all data by auto scrolling through all data row by row then start again at the top once it has displayed
all data. Is there a way to do this automatically in code using a timer? I look all over the web and have not found any way to do this in win win forms. Is it possible?

As long as the listbox's SelectionMode is set to "One" (the default), you don't have to do anything to un-select the previous item.
For your secnd question, the code inside the timer checks whether the position is the same as the length of the contents of the listbox and resets its value to zero, so that the selection will go back to the first item in the list.

Target Auto Discovery fails

I have EMC12 installed on WinServer2008 R2 SP1. Cygwin ssh deamon started and configured. Agent is running on local account (LA) with administrative privileges and additional setting configured according to docs. OMS is running on local system account.
When I start target auto discovery I get following error:

Cygwin doesnt have sudo option installed (not needed according to docs on Windows, although job credentials require sudo delegation - what for?).

That seems strange as mkdir is WinSrvr system command.

Oem auto discovery does not discover

Hello, DBAers; RHEL 5 x64, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3 - trying to discover an unmanaged host using auto discovery and following the instructions spelled out here

and the auto discovery is not discovering.
I can "ssh <usrname>@<hostname>" and connect to the unmanaged target from the machine running the management server and ping the target server from same, so it does not appear to be a firewall issue. But OEM cannot see it through auto-discovery. Do any of you have any thoughts?

To be able to run auto-discovery,
the Sudo Privilege Delegation must be set on the Management Agent host that will perform the scan. The named credential that will be used must be configured to run as root.
Because it used nmap (port scanner). Have you checked that sudo privilege delegation is set?

ICal Delegations Reset

I have an iCal Running as part of a Snow Leopard server on an Xserve.
Lately we've been running into some strange problems, usually involving active directory. This morning, the office came in to discover that all delegations had been reset. Re-delegating the Office wide calendar seemed to fix the issue. The larger problem is that everyone in the office now has to re-delegate their calendars, which will be quite a headache.
Additionally, we have a few location based calendars thanks to iCal Utility. The compan-wide delegations to these calendars seems to have dissapeared as well. Does anyone know how to find these?
Short of restoring from a backup, does anyone have ideas on how to restore iCal delegations to their previous state? And if there are any iCal Server ninjas out there, I have a few smaller issues I could use some advice on.

Do this once in the server and then auto-add the accounts from Preferences>Accounts in the iCal client? No experience in this with CalDAV, I simply thought it was the function's raison d'être.
