Auto-dim feature works in the opposite way

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion 17" laptop and I have two major remarks on the HP implementation of the display.
1. The auto-dim feature works in the opposite way: it should be that when dark images appear the display produces more light and lesser light when whiter/brighter images are displayed. Now the display dimms its lights when dark images are displayed which makes that they are wayyyy bad to see!
2. The auto-dim feature can be turned of, but is back turned on when the computer was turned off in standby mode allthough it says that it is turned off.... weird!
At work I have a Dell and there it all wors as it should !
So HP, please correct these flaws asap, thanks :-)

Restart your Mac.
That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

I understand that Firefox is no longer working on your Windows Tablet. The development of Metro did stop and has been discontinued. However what version were you on before this started to happen?

Need to know how the AUTO BCC feature works on T-Mobile USA

HI,
am hoping to get an explanation on how the Auto BCC on T-Mobile USA works in the background. I have an 8900 that is setup on exchange using T-Mobile account settings and uses the Outlook Web access email.
When emails are sent from the device, a copy gets sent to the sent items which is fine. I would like to know that if I use the auto BCC within T-Mobile if those email are being sent from exchange or the Blackberry servers in Canada? Also will the emails that are forwarded be sent to the sent item of the exchange server?

Is your email is integrated in your BlackBerry Internet Service account as an OWA account? If so, when you are sending from your BlackBerry you are still sending from your exchange account. Your device is using the BlackBerry Internet Service to communicate with your exchange account so the BCC sent from your device email integration is still being sent from your exchange email account whether on the device or from Outlook or OWA. Any email you send or forward from your device should be posted to your sent items folder on exchange.

IPhone auto dim feature?

My auto dim works. BUT, I just noticed that my two friends iphones put the screen in a really low dim mode when they aren't touched for 30 seconds or so. Mine will not do it, even if the auto-dim is on. Does anyone know if it has anything to do with another feature?

I just figured it out. If you have the auto-lock feature set to "never", your phone will never dim the screen when not in use. If you set it to any one of the "minute" intervals, it will dim.

Drop Down Menu Over Text The Opposite Way

I’ve just read the Drop Down Menu Over Text: How? Topic
posted by Cpt-K but it appears that he was trying to do the
opposite of what I want to do. My problem is that I have created a
drop down menu in Flash which I have imported into Dreamweaver. I
now want to be able to write HTML code below the menu and have the
sub menus drop down over the top of the HTML. Currently the menu
sits above the text leaving a large white space where the sub menus
drop down. I have tried using the wmode parameters transparent and
opaque but neither has worked. Is there anyway to fix this?

I have the same problem and dont know the solution. I would
appreciate if you or anyone else would share it with me.

LOV filter - Auto Submit not working after the value is made to VS.filter

I have cascading LOV filters for a table with fields id, deptid, projectName. The filters are for deptid and projectName. When I select a deptid, the projectNames belonging to that deptid should be populated. I have set Auto submit for deptid filter and partial trigger for project Name. So if I select a deptid and when I navigate to Project Name filter I get the list of project Names in the Project LOV filter.This worked fine as long as I didnt change the value for LOV to Vs.filtercriteria.deptid. Once I changed it the LOV filter for Project Names only got refreshed once I hit ENTER key after changing the value of Deptid. But I have to keep the value for LOV to Vs.filtercriteria.deptid. Other wise the records in the table after applying the filter values didnt function properly. I dont know whether the AutoSubmit does not work when the value is changed to Vs.filtercriteria.deptid

With the most recent version of Firefox I can no longer use the track pad zoom feature on my Mac. All previous versions were compatible and worked well. What happened?

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
browser.gesture.pinch.in -> cmd_fullZoomReduce
browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
browser.gesture.pinch.out -> cmd_fullZoomEnlarge
browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> false
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

Why won't my Ipad auto cap feature work. Help!

I am new to the Ipad. The capitalization after a period function does not work but the settings are on. I've re booted and it seemed to work for a while but no longer and the reboot won't make it work now.

In HealthKit I keep getting no data while trying to get the cycle up on dashboard am I doing something wrong as I thought it would work in the same way the steps do

IIn health kit I can't get the cycle to give data it just keeps saying No Data. Am I doing something wrong or can it not detect cycling in the same way it does for steps. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Thanks. My database version is: 10.2.0.4.0 and no plan to upgrade to 11g.
Either asyn or syn CDC on logical standby database is ok for me. I searched but couldn't find any docs for how to set CDC for logical standby, they are all for primary database.

Does the "auto-download" feature run in the background?

I would like new episodes to download automatically in the middle of the night or early morning, without opening the app or refreshing anything. So then, on way to work, the new episodes are already downloaded first time I open up the iPad on train. I've heard about 3rd party apps that do allow for this. True? Thanks for the help!

But did you test it so that it downloaded it automatically or did you force the download by clicking the button in the application?
The 3G and Wifi switch so far as I'm aware only effects auto downloads, etc.

Does closed captioning features work in the trial version?

I'm trying to update the font and color in Captivate 5 using the trial version and my mouse arrow shows horizontal and then it locks up my computer. Please help; any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, but we need more information. Perhaps take another stab at describing exactly what is occurring.
As far as I'm aware, the trial version doesn't inhibit anything other than the time you have in which to use it before it requires you to purchase a license to use it. So closed captioning *SHOULD* be working.
