Auto disconnect

Hi,
I have a really big problem with my iPod Classic 80gb.
When I try to connect it to my PC, through an usb cable, iPod shows connected and i hear the "blim" of windows vista but in 3 seconds it shows "disconnecting" and windows plays the sad "blim".I can't restore it because iTunes cannot see it!
I tried to press menu + select and just when i saw the apple i released menù pressing |<<.
There was a menu and in manual test->Accessories Test in the usb caption there was 0-1-0-1-0-1 like if i plugged and unplugged the cable.
I'm going crazy for this because I can't understand where is the problem.
Could the cable be?Or the problem is in the iPod connector?
Can someone help me?

I just got a new Dell and I installed itunes but it will not recognize my Ipod! When i plug it in I get the "very low battery" thing, then it turns on for a minute and dies again. I can't even update my library cause the ipod doesnt show up in my itues either. I tried restarting it many times. What else can I do???

Wifi Auto disconnect after 5-10 of sleep.

Here's my technical data:
Iphone 4s
iOS 8
I connect to wifi and lock my phone, after 5-10 minutes of sleeping the wifi auto disconnect.
To test this, I tried sending a LINE message and as expected, I didn't receive the message.
Is this a problem with the OS or is it normal for wifi to disconnect automatically?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
* No data is lost due to a reset

Wrt610n v2 auto-disconnect with DHCP?

I have my wrt610n v2 for several months. It work perfectly with my giga lan.
Recently, I have brought an IP cam and I would like to see my baby with my iphone. I have followed the user guide and setup everything with wireless setup with my IP cam and router port forwarding as well as DDNS.
However, it works only when my computer has switched on.
I have tried to use the remote management function of the router with iphone to access the admin console during my workstation has switch off for a long while and i found that i am not able to access the admin page.
Then I try to switch on the computer again and i found that the admin console page can be access again from my iphone.
The behaviour is just like the router has been disconnected if there is no network connection detected for a long while.
So i tried to give up the wireless connection of the IP cam and connect the IP cam directly to the router with lan cable. The behaviour is the same.
I am using automatic Configuration - DHCP which does has the "Keep alive" setting.
And I have already using the most updated firmware.

Here is the result of the test as you requested:
1) Try disconnecting the Ethernet cable between your main computer and router.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the router and main computer and see if you can access the IP Cam.
Ans: Not able the connect to the ip-cam from WWW.
2) Do you have any other wired or wireless computer in the network?

3) You have Iphone. Connect Iphone to the wireless in your network and see if you can access Internet on Iphone. Now switch off the main computer and check if you can access the Internet on Iphone when connected to your wireless network.
Ans: Originally I cannot connect to the ip-cam with my iphone without wifi connection. After I make wifi connection and access to the internet with my iphone, I can access the ip-cam again. In this test, my computer has remained turned off. But i think this situation is the same as that I have switched on my computer to requesting internet access from the Lan since my iphone is creating internet connection from the Lan.
The end result told us that the router will auto-disconnect with internet DHCP for a certain idle period which without requesting internet connection from in the Lan.
I don't think the ip-cam design is for the user to access it with local lan connection. If I want to access my ip-cam, I should not at my home and all the other computer equipments should be switched off with only my ip-cam and router has turned on.
However, in this situation, the router will auto-disconnect because of there is no internet connection requesting from the Lan and therefore I am not able to access my router as well as my ip-cam from the WWW.
If this is true, I don't think this router can be use for the situation if there is ip-cam at home. That really bad!
Looking for solution for this case.

MCU Ad Hoc Conference Auto-Disconnect

Dear all,
Is it possible to disconnect all remaning participants from a multiway-created ad hoc conference after person, who create, leave the conference?
Scenario is a person create a multiway conference between 3 conference rooms and after a while leave conference.
I need to auto disconnect other 2 participants.
Is it possible?
Used MCU : 5310 - version 4.4(3.67)

Mesut,
The only way you could do this is by associating the conference creator as the chairperson and the additional participants as guests. Distinguishing between Chairperson and Guests in multiway is not possible.
If you add Conductor this may be possible in the next version with the use of different PINs for chairperson and guests.

Ipod 7th gen auto disconnects from ITunes

Hi,
I got a new IPod Shuffle for Christmas and every time I connect it to ITunes it auto-disconnects after about 30 seconds- does anyone know how to stop this happening?

I tried putting it in disk mode as you suggested and it's still disconnecting from iTunes right after it syncs.
I was afraid that I would have to do a restore. I have over 13000 songs on my iPod, many that are no longer in my iTunes library. I used to delete my albums off my hard drive after I ripped them off of CD and transferred them to my iPod. I didn't have the hard drive space back then.
This is my dilemma. I'm worried that maybe the iPod is damaged and I won't be able to add my music once I've done the restore. Right now it plays fine, I just can't add or delete any more music. Maybe it's time to buy a new one.

Auto disconnect stations at a certain time

I am running Multipoint Premium 2012 with Wyse E02 Zero Clients for the stations. This is for a school environment. During sporting events, etc., there has been a lot of inappropriate use of the computers at the school. I would like to
automatically disconnect the zero clients at the end of the school day and have them auto-connect the next morning before school. Is there any way to do this in Multipoint? Or is there anyone with scripting knowledge that could help me out?

You could ask the teachers to go to the WMS Dashboard and block all users when you have events and then unblock those stations after the events. But even as I wrote this message, I realized that this will only block stations where students are logged into.
Stations at the Microsoft logon screen will not be blocked and RDP sessions can still happen. So this would only really work if you have MultiPoint set up to auto-logon each station. You might be able to do something in Group Policy to time-limit when people
can log on, but I'm not sure if that's a feature or not. You could always go into your webfilter and block traffic at certain times of the day. That way when kids log onto MultiPoint they can only use applications, not the Internet. Also, you could always
turn off and turn on the servers themselves though Task Scheduler. There's a setting in Task Scheduler to turn on the computer to run a task.
I'll share the powershell commands to block and unblock stations. Putting these in task scheduler was how I was going to suggest it, but then I realized after writing it that it would only block the stations where kids have logged into, so it may not be
the best solution unless you have the stations set to auto-logon.
To run the Wms cmdlets, you need to first run this command from Powershell:
Import-Module "C:\Program Files\Windows MultiPoint Server\Modules\WmsCmdlets\WmsCmdlets.dll"
This powershell command will show you the sessions: Get-WmsSession
You can iterate through the session IDs and then block or unblock them.
This command will block session 3 (I noticed that it put Japanese words on the screen, instead of English! Looks like a bug or I'm missing a parameter):

This command will unblock session 3:

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

FMS auto disconnects when using a class

I am trying to implement a very simple class that will create
an instance of the NetConnection object and connect to the FMS
server. However, the client will connect then immediately
disconnect when the swf is published. My code is as follows...

it think this is happen because you use local variable : your
variable is delete at the end of connect() so your NetConnection
will be closed in the same time.

Mac Mini auto disconnects external drives

Disconnects external drives using USB 3.0 drives were attached to Windows XP machine drives have no password/lock. Genius Bar tried as well same results, tried using new MacBook Pro same result suspect software OS X issue looking for work around to transfer data/pictues etc. to new Mac Mini?

I have a late 2012 Mac Mini with 10.9.2 and use a WD drive in a Macally enclosure running on the USB3 port and have no issues. The drive sleeps when the Mac sleeps but stays on when the Mac shuts down (some Mavericks issue I guess). Not sure why your drive would disconnect. Do you have the setting to not piut hard drive to sleep? Not sure this would fix anything or not for you.

How do I disable auto disconnect of AFP shares in OSX 10.8.5?

Can anybody tell me how to stop my mac from automatically disconnecting my AFP shares? The Windos shares remain cnnected all day but my AFP seems to time out!!

Auto-Disconnecting Drives on iMac w/ Lion

I'm also having the issue of drives disconnecting. (similar post found here, but on MacMini: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2643206?start=0&tstart=0)
It happened today (first time) with my ipad 1st gen when i was moving files to it. It has been happening with my WD drive serving as my Backup for quite a while now (not sure when it started, but I haven't been able to keep my drive connected for more than a few minutes at best. But I do have another WD drive that is connected just fine and has never disconnected.
I tried Keep Drive Spinning tonight, and shortly after I set it up to keep my Backup drive active, my drive crashed. I have also tried swapping USB and power cords with no success. Does anyone else have an idea of what's going on or how I may be able to get it to work sooner rather than later?

Agree about the WD drive probably being the problem. Unfortunately External WD drives tend to have a lot of problems with Macs. If you can I'd recommend exchanging it out for a higher quality drive. I'd recommend any of the following:
G-Tech G-DRIVE series
LaCie d2 Quadra series
OWC Mercury Elite Pro series
If these are out of your price range then navigate to www.macsales.com (OWC) and choose any of their external HD's you will find their quality and service to be very good. Also because they specialize in Macs you know what they sell works.

I cannot download anything onto clip sport or else it auto disconnects

Just recently I have had a major problem. My sandisk clip sport will not allow any more downloads despite the fact that it was not even full and would disconnect afterwards. Some of the file names were corrupted and when I tried to disconnect it and reconnect it I found that it was actually missing some files and had other files on it with odd text and letters I've never seen before. In a desperate attempt to see if it had too much stuff on it I decided to reformat it. After doing that it did remove all of my files but I am still having the same issue with it disconnecting when I try to download something. Can someone please help me?

Try using a different usb cable. Make sure the cable is fully inserted. Plug the cable directly into a rear usb port if you have a desktop pc. Don't use a hub or usb extension cable. If you have a notebook pc, plug the notebook in first before connecting the player. Don't use a hub or usb extension cable. Are your files all compatible with the player? I assume you are using a PC with Windows.
