Auto fetch for Emails?

Hello everyone,
I received my iPhone 3G last week and have been busy setting up. Under Settings > Fetch New Data > Fetch: I have selected 'Every 15 Minutes'.
This worked the first day I tried it, but doesn't seem to be working anymore. Mail is not automatically searching for emails every 15 minutes. I have to manually launch Mail in order for it to check for new emails.
Any advice on what I could be doing wrong ?

It sounds like you want to have the Mail app automatically reply to emails that come in. You can do this in the app itself, but in order for the function to work, Mail needs to be open. Take a look at this info from the following article:
Mail (Yosemite): Reply to, forward, or redirect messages
Automatically reply to or forward messages
Mail must be open before it can automatically forward or reply to messages. If you want to send automatic replies when Mail isn’t open—like when you’re on vacation—check with the provider of your email account.
Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Rules.
Click Add Rule, then type a name for the rule.
Indicate whether any or all of the conditions must be true for the rule to be applied.
Set the conditions that determine which messages to automatically reply to or forward.
Choose options from the “Perform the following actions” pop-up menu.
Forward messages: Choose Forward Message from the first pop-up menu, then enter the email addresses where you want to receive the forwarded messages. Click Message, then enter any text you want to include with the forwarded message. For example, you could explain that you’re automatically forwarding messages.
Reply to messages: Choose “Reply to Message” from the first pop-up menu, click “Reply message text,” then enter your reply. Mail includes the full text of the original message in your reply.
Click OK.
Carefully consider the rules you create. If they’re too broad, messages can be sent inadvertently or create loops (replies to replies you sent). If possible, test the rules.

Auto suggest for email address

I want to set an auto type function for my email address that functions over all programs on my macbook. I'm just sick of typing this out. Know a way to do this?

Hi.
I was just wondering if it is at all possible to set my Mail program up to check my email for me at certain time intervals.
I'm in college and it'd be nice if I was able to have my email automatically checked for me, as I tend to get busy and forget to check it myself.
Today actually our campus was closed due to snow, but unfortunately I didn't think to check my email otherwise I would have found out before attempting to go to class.
So...can I do this?

You can set the interval in Mail's Preferences under 'General'.

How do I set up an auto-template for email?

I respond in much the same way to most of the emails I receive. That is, I can just fill in the blanks for what I need to and the rest of my content stays the same.

Well I do appreciate the 'genius' comment, not sure if its warranted. It was really just a guess, and I didn't actually try it until after I posted my reply, lol.
But anyway, you can assign that signature to any one account or all accounts. You can actually set up differerent signatures to each account, one for yahoo and one for icloud in your case,
When you go to composet a new email, tap on the 'from' field and you will see the different account options appeare and then can choose which one you want to send from and thereby the signature (template).
You can also choose a 'default' account that will automatically send from that account everytime unless you chose otherwise.

Auto checking for email

Hi all and happy new year. My mail app used to check automatically for new mail at 1minute and up to 1hour intervals but now it doesn't, I have to do it manually. Any suggestions gratefully acknowledged

Assuming you still have your preferences set to check for new mail at your desired interval, perhaps Mail has taken your mail server offline. Check your mailbox drawer for a circle icon with a squiggly line through it. If Mail has taken that account offline it won't check for new mail until you enable it again.

Auto Fetching Email whem locked

Hi Im reposting this as i think this is a better name for my problem.. As the subject lines says my ipod will no longer auto fetch email when its locked... Has anyone else got this problem and have you found a fix?

Others have reported this as a v.2.1 issue. I have not been able to duplicate the problem, either on my IPT or iPhone. However, you might try force-quitting Mail (with the app open, press and hold the home button until you return to the home screen.

I cannot synch movies to my iPad. This has worked for me in the past. I keep getting an error message that I am not connected to the internet. Yet, I certainly am. How else could I post this message. I can listen to music clips from the iTunes store, fetch my email, and read current newspapers on the internet. I restarted both my iMac and my Ipad and that didnot help.

I completely understand what is happening. I know that you are connected to the Internet. I made the suggestion because I have seen it work in similar circumstances. The Apple iTunes servers can be a bit fussy about things and sometimes rebooting the router clears up this miscommunication between iTunes and your network.
Have you tried signing into your account and then try to sync again. Go to Store>View Account. You will have to enter your password. Then try to sync again. Or try signing out completely in Store>Sign out. Quit iTunes, sign in again and then try to sync again.
Sometimes refreshing settings will help clear up weird problems.

Auto-complete for the email addresses in the mail app is not working

Hi, could somebody kindly help, please?
I have just got a new iphone 5s after my old 5 got broken. When I got the new 5s one I had to restore everything from the back-up copy I had on my ipad or in my icloud, whatever.
The problem is that in the standard mail app which you have at the bottom of the screen auto-complete for the email addresses is not working on this new iphone. However, it still works on the ipad.
Can I turn it on somewhere or is it a bug? I remember When my old iohone was new as well as the ipad and ipod, I did not have to turn on anything. The recent email addresses list (appears when one starts to type an address in the address bar when writing a new email message) appeared automatically. And on this phone it doesn't appear at all. It doesn't suggest me any recent or whichever email addresses and I am really lazy to type an address each time.
Could this be solved?

"fast auto typing" for sms & emails

Hi,
My other half has a Lumia 800 and I notice that there is this "auto word type" facility where when you type the first few letters, the word automatically forms and/or you get a choice of several that are similar.
I see that this is for sms-ing - not sure for emails.
Is this availible for the new range of Lumias (620, etc)? And if so, how do you set it up?

Yes it is and it should be there by default, so no setting up is necessary, well at least not in my case anyway.

Customizing PO approval workflow POAPPRV for email subject/body changes

Hi,
The requirement is to modify the email subject/body of the emails sent to the suppliers once PO is approved.
They would also like to remove the
'From/To/Sent/Id' which is displayed as first section in body currently.
I am new to workflow, so could you please guide me in achieving this?
Is workflow customization only option?
Do we have any other way in which the requirement can be accomplished?

Auto Signature for Curve 8900 series

I'm trying to add a auto signature for text and email for Curve 8900

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
I don't know about an SMS auto-sig, but for emails, you can access that via Setup > Email Settings (it may be slightly different depending on your device OS level). Navigate into the account and there is a field for that information.
You can also do this from your carriers BIS website:

If you've not used this before, you'll have to create an ID/password and associate it to your BB PIN...and then you'll have to also use those credentials on your BB. But there should be a checkbox to tick that will have your BB remember those credentials for future uses, so you only have to enter them once.
Now, if you are on BES for some email, you must do something different...let us know and we'll guide you about that.

JavaMail: fetching html email body.

Hi there,
I'm having a problem fetching an email html body using JavaMail. When I get the content, the html tags are stripped away, only the data of the html page comes back. I need the content with the html tags. The protocol that I use is imap.
Any solutions out there ?

OK - probably the message is a multipart:
