Auto fit when printing

Is there any way for WEBI to automatically change the font size so that all columns fit on one page (wide) when printing?

you can use the page view in the Webi design mode to strict yourself to a page and make all your data fit into this page.
also for sure you can change the font size for any cell in the report.
you can just right click the cell and select Format Text.
good luck

  • Disable Auto-Centring When Printing Multiple Pages

    Hello,
I am using Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.04 (mac). I am trying to print multiple pages (specifically custom 1 by 3 portrait), but am finding that the 3 pages auto-centre (appear in the middle of the page). Is there a way to disable this auto-centring so that the three pages can be flush to th left of the page (e.g. left margin).
    Thanks

  • Iphoto auto trims when printing

    Hi
Why is it that when I load a pic in iphoto then go to print it does it always get "trimmed"
I have numerous pictures that on the screen have all of peoples heads, but when printing they all end up with flat tops I've tried borderless and tabbed (whatever that is) but to no avail.
    Thanks in advance

Most likely your photos are in a different aspect ratio than your prints - for example most digital photos are in a 4 x 3 ratio or 1.3333333 to 1 (my camera's maximum is 3072 x 2304 - 1.333333 to 1)
If the print size is different than that then something has to give - so for a 6 x 4 print (1.5 to 1) either something has to be cropped, white space added or pixels squashed in one direction creating distortion - iPhoto crops
If you do NOT want autocropping then simply crop your photos to the correct ratios BEFORE printing or print at the same ratio as the original photo (probably 1.333333 to 1) size - if you are going to print 4 x 6 they you crop to 4 x 6

  • Print queue auto-deleted when printer is switched off after office hours

We have our fax program running 24-7 and autoprinting every received fax. When the printers are sutdown outside office hours, xserve deletes the jobs without holding them until the printers become available again.
Is there a trick to keep the jobs (auto) on hold and be printed as described above?

  • Auto Scaling when Printing

For some reason when I try and print a large banner from InDesign it auto scales the image up by exactly 1 inch proportionately. In other words, it makes my 36 inch wide document 37 inches exactly and adjusts the length accordingly. I've checked and double checked the print settings to make sure that it is not set to scale the document, but it keeps doing it.
Does anyone have any experience with printing large documents that get auto scaled? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my printer, printing from a PDF, copy-pasting the artwork into a new Indesign document to no avail.

I found the problem. It was in the print options.
    Under setup > Paper Size
This was set to Defined by Driver, but when I change it custom and enter in the paper size amounts (even though they're the same as what the driver was selecting) it doesn't scale it anymore.

  • Auto ON when printing wireless

    Hi
I just bought myself a HP Photosmart 5515.
The last printer I had (Canon Pixma 4500 connected to Airport Express) automatically turned on, everytime someone sent a document (wireless) to print. It was such a easy way of living. Now I have to walk aaaaaall the way over to the other side of the house - turn it on - and wait for it to print...
I'm mean, it's not such a big thing, really.
But when you are used to something, its really annoying to let it go, you know :
    Help?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but ther is a fix for for the front panel going unresponsive after the unit goes into sleep mode requiring it to be powered up againg via the power button.
It might be what you need. If not my apologies I just spotted it after reading your post while trying to find a soloution to my problem.

  • Auto crop when printing 8 X 10 photos

When I print 8 X 10 iPhoto automatically crops the photo. All other sizes print the photo without the crop. How do i stop this?

The aspect ratio of an image is the ratio of the photo's width to its length.  For an 10 x 8 it would be 1.25:1. A 6 x 4 would be 1.5:1
You can select the aspect ratio in the Crop portion of iPhoto's Edit mode to whatever print size you want:

  • PDFs are always scaling to fit the page when printing, after OS X 10.9 upgrade

    Hello,
When I try to print a PDF on a sheet that is larger or smaller then the page size I have selected in Acrobat, it always reduces or enlarged it to fit, even when I tell it not to do any scaling. Please see my step by step process below for more details on how I am sending the file to the printer.
    Preface:
This problem began after I upgraded my Mac OS to 10.9, and it only applies when I print from Acrobat Pro to our poly platesetter (I work in the prepress department for an offset printer). I have Acrobat Pro 9 and 11 on my computer, and I have the  problem using either one.
    • I do not have this problem when printing from InDesign, or any other CC application.
    • I can print to our four other printers (desktop or copiers) from Acrobat without any scaling problems.
    Description of the problem:
This is an example of a file I may need to print, a #10 envelope. The sheet and document sizes are in red.
The 'Page Size' is 4.13" x 9.5" and I have it set to print 'Actual size.' I have also tried 'Custom Scale' at 100%, but I still have the same problem. The preview in the print dialog is correct. It should just print the envelope, not the cropmarks that were on the PDF. I've sent down countless envelopes this way before I upgraded to 10.9 without any trouble.
Above is a screenshot of the file after it has been ripped at our platesetter. You can see it reduced the entire document to fit on the selected page size. The cropmarks should not be there, and it shouldn't have reduced the artwork.
I also have the opposite problem of  my artwork being enlarged if I send something down that is smaller than my selected page size.
I know this a very specific problem, so I understand that I may not  get much help on it. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer. I have workarounds, but this is really slowing me down, and if I accidentally plate something that was reduced or enlarged can be a very costly mistake if it get printed that way.
    My Equipment:
    • Early 2008 -  Quad-Core Mac Pro 2.8 GHz
    • I use Abobe CC applications, but I've tried Acrobat 9.0 as an alterative to Acrobat 11
    • Our platesetter is: Mitsubishi SDP-Eco 1630 IIIR
      with a Harlequin RIP 9.0 Revision 0
Thank you in advance for any insight you may have.

A workaround I found for my Fiery RIP if insist on using Acrobat XI:
    In Acrobat's Print dialog, set:
Choose paper source by PDF page size = ticked
Use custom paper size when needed = ticked
In Page Setup, set Page Size = your custom size, i.e. 4.13" x 9.5"
In Printer, open the Fiery driver properties and set Paper Size = your custom size, i.e. 4.13" x 9.5"

  • Printing problems, black mark appears on document when printing using auto portrait/landscape

As the title says, pdf is fine on screen but when printing using auto portrait/landscape a black mark appears on the screen as in the photos below
when the orientation is selected the line disapears and the print works correctly
Anyone have any idea why this would happen?
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hello Pelle,
Thanks for the feedback. Our printing code in Adobe Reader Touch doesn't have that capability right now, but since you mention it we should probably do what you're requesting by default. I'll put that into our backlog for a future update, but I can't say yet when it will be available.
In the interim, if you have pages that are different orientations, you can print them in blocks manually to get what you want, but I understand that's a hassle.

  • Page does not fit on paper when printed directly to printer

    Hi experts,
I have developed a form in transaction SFP, using A4 as the paper format for the master pages. If I print to spool and preview and print my form from spool using transaction SP01, the form prints nicely. If I print directly to printer using the generated function module for the form (setting parameter REQIMM to true), the page does not fit on the paper (it is cropped), and also I do not get duplex printing.
Why do I get different results when printing directly to printer as opposed to printing to spool first? How can I ensure that the form is printed correctly when printing directly to printer?
    thanks!
    Frank

Did you check the window settings of the Firefox desktop shortcut to see how Firefox opens?
Did you try to delete the current Firefox desktop shortcut and create a new shortcut?
Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window (use the keyboard cursor keys).<br />
If that works then first close all other open Firefox windows and then close Firefox via "File > Exit/Quit" to save that setting.

    Dear Josephine,

  • Adobe has stopped auto loading when I choose " print " option on a website that provides me with a PDF format statement. Mozilla or Adobe setting?

Both mozilla and Adobe have been updated. Should I be looking into Adobe or Firefox for a setting change to enable adobe to be auto loaded when accessing a PDF format statement by a "print" button on a website?

This is on your Android device? Does Firefox show that it is downloading the PDF? Usually that will appear first and then the file will be launched in the Adobe app. If nothing happens after it is downloaded, does it appear on the Downloads list on the menu and, of so, can you open it normally from there or is that also not working?
(If you are asking about a different platform, please provide more information on which one it is.)

  • KDE: margins incorrect when printing because of fit-to-page option

I'm attempting to print a PDF file with Okular (happens with other KDE/Qt applications as well) to my HP Deskjet D2530 printer. The PDF has one inch margins on all sides, but when printing, additional space is added to the margins.
The page prints perfectly using lp:
    $ lp /Path/to/PDF.pdf
Should also note it prints perfectly with non-KDE applications such as epdfview.
I turned on debug mode in CUPS to find what options KDE sends to CUPS. I narrowed it down to the "fit-to-page" option causing the issue.
I can reproduce the incorrect margins exactly with this command:
    $ lp -o fit-to-page -o PageSize=Letter /Path/to/PDF.pdf
Now the issue I'm having is disabling this. I see nowhere in the KDE print dialog to disable fit-to-page, and have searched CUPS' documentation for a way to disable it on that end, but could not find anything. Searching for this issue has similiarly turned up nothing. I've also tried adding "fit-to-page=false" to ~/.cups/lpoptions with no result. I can't be the only one who has dealt with this. Is there some configuration option I'm missing somewhere or should I report this as a bug upstream?

    hello!
    i have a similar problem:
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1402373
for me the fit to page cmdline option does not apply and the output is always bigger than one page ... same goes for print menues with the option to turn on/off fit to page ...

  • When printing useing firefox, the text is too large and doesnt fit page--no problem until recently, printing works fine on IE? Would like to continue using Firefox as my browser.

when printing on firefox, the text is super large and therfore doesnt print correctly. I am using Windows XP. Printing is fine using IE.
    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
== just recently, no problems before the last few days!

File > Page Setup = '''Scale'''
    100% is usually best.

  • Any way to get more than 100% zoom on print jobs when printing multiple pages?

I know how to increase the size of a print job, when I am printing one page at a time. But when I go to print 2 pages at once (the multiple page print function), there are always large margins around the page. I'm ok with saving paper and printing up two pages, but it seems silly to see small print and wide blank margins. Is there any way to increase the print zoom, when printing multiple pages per sheet of paper?

I once overshot the limit by marking too many photos to fit within 99 pages, but I could never figure out how to fool the application and had to give up trying to add those 14 extra photos.
I asked a friend (who practically lives in Terminal) if he had any way of modifying that limit, but he reminded me that if their printing services are set up to bind books and bill for only 99 pages, fooling the application might be useless if the service only prints me a 99 page book and discards the additional pages.
I can understand that you wouldn't want to let people print 1000 page books, but I sent feedback anyway to allow me to increase the limit. Anyone know of any service that lets you print beyond iPhoto's limits?
