Auto Forward iPhone ATT text messages to Apple Messages on Mac

Is there a way to have my iphone ATT text messages automatically forwarded to Apple Messages on my Mac? When I'm using my Mac I don't always have my iphone handy so I would like to use my Mac to receive and send messages is this case.

That would be something you'd need to discuss with AT&T. Verizon, for example, offers a service called VZ Messages that lets you access your SMS messages from a web portal. Very handy. AT&T may offer something similar.
You'll have other options when iOS 8/Yosemite is released.

I'm guessing you mean portions of the thread? Tap on the message you want to delete or foward. Tap "More" on the pop up menu that appears. Select any messages you want to forward or delete. Tap either the trash can in the lower left or the forward arrow in the lower right.

Long-press the message and you should get a pop-up with various choices, including Forward the message.

My iphone send Text message to apple 30cent

Hallo this is a hot topic on many forums in Italy about that all iphones are sending a text message to this number in UK 00447860015 **** no one have an answer to this threat and what it seems if for sure that all italian company are not involve since I call my company and they said is an Iphone ios8 issue.
Can someone tell me more about, and if there is any way to fix or avoiding to pay those 30cent sometime 2/3 time for month.

FaceTime and iMessage, as I said, send SMS messages to Apple's server in the UK to activate and re-activate the service. Every iPhone in the world does the same thing. That's about a half a billion phones. Apple has an agreement with partner carriers to not charge for the reactivation messages. It would seem that TIM is not honoring that agreement. It has nothing to do with the iPhone or the version of iOS. Most carriers do honor it. As TIM is a supported carrier they should honor the agreement also. If they do not you have to confront TIM about why they are charging you for a service that they have agreed to provide for free under their contract with Apple. Either that, or TIM does not know that you are using an iPhone with their service.

You can't sync old messages to the iPad unless you were to restore the iPad from an iPhone backup. You can keep the messages in sync moving forward if you use your iPhone number as the contact at address in Settings>Messages!>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. Check your phone number if it shows in there.

My iPhone 4 text messages to none iPhone phones aren't working correctly

When I send a text to my friends with Droid phones the text character count doesn't seem to matter. I can send a text which in my iPhone is 320 characters which is in most phones had been two text... 160 characters had seemed to be commonly one text message on many phones for a long time. Now with the Droid smart phones the 320 or 160 character count doesn't seem to matter. My texts get broken up into three or four on their phones. Also picture texts files from my phone to theres seems to large for them to view quickly if at all. Many of them use an App for texting called Handcent. I looked into this but it appears to use this on my Apple phone I have to hijack my phone if you will otherwise its incompatable. I'm the only Apple user in my crowd if you could help me find a solution so when I text my friends its fun and easy for them to recieve my texts again that would be great!
BTW, I do have my MMS turned on in my phone already.

Do you have the "send as SMS" setting turned on maybe that's the problem you might just have turned on your iMessage setting instead

Why is my daughters 4s receiving my husband's iphone 5 text messages since he updated to the new software. Verizion cannot figure it out- help please?

Since my husband updated is software Friday on his iphone 5 my daughter iphone 4s has been receiving his text messages. Verizion cannot figure it out. They have seperate Apple id's. Please any advice would be great?

Stop ung the same Apple ID or phone number for iMessage.

Not receiving IPhone 4s text messages to S4

I upgraded my iphone 4s to a Galaxy S4 this past Saturday. I already knew I was going to have an issue with sending and receiving text messages, so I made sure I turned off my IMessage and turned off my phone when I traded in my phone.
One of my friends has a Iphone 4s, she texted me yesterday and it went through but she send she had to deliver it twice because the first time it didn't deliver. She was trying to text me this morning and it's not delivering to me again. Is this a Iphone of S4 problem? Can you help me fix this either way?! HELP!
Also I know other people that have IPhones and I am able to receive their messages. Thanks!

I have the same problem. I switched from a Verizon iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy 4S in October. This is what I have done so far:
Visited two Verizon stores who both said "It's an Apple problem, not a Verizon problem." -- very unhelpful
Searched multiple forums where people are discussing this problem. I've followed every single lead I could find.
Reset my old iPhone 4 to factory settings -- lost ALL data
Changed my Apple id.
Erased my iPhone from the Apple cloud.
Made sure my family and friends with iPhones have my number listed as "mobile" not "iPhone" in their contacts
But I am still unable to get messages from other people's iPhones.
HELP!!!

Iphone makes text messages sounds without any reason

I have iphone 3gs with iOS 5.0.1
So several times a day it makes sounds like text message came, but there're no new text messages there.
What can cause it?
It started happening a week ago or so, I didn't have this weird issue before.

On the advice of 2 Apple technicians I have restored the software to factory twice. No difference, just now with the iPhone on a table, the ringer menu came up and the volume went to zero.
The last restore is not complete after 18 hours, as my local wi-fi times out interrupting the restore from iCloud.
Apple said the retail outlet would replace the iPhone if i quoted the case number. However Future shop in Grande Prairie Alberta, said that they couldn't help as Apple does not permit them to make the swop.
The next tech said Apple would either
1. send me a shipping box which I would return to Apple with my iPhone, they would replace it within 10 days !
or 2. I give them my Credit card number and they will send me a replacement phone, on receipt of the old phone the credit card numbers would be deleted.
Not very happy about this.

You are correct in that creating a new Apple ID is VERY different from adding a new email to iMessage. A whole family should be able to share one Apple ID!

Iphone 3gs text message transfer

Hi, my little sister passed away at Christmas and I am trying to safe and/or transfer her text messages on my iphone 3gs, I have a 7 yr old MacBook. Sorry I am a bit of a 'techno donut'!! Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you, Livvy

If you need another option to save the text messages, I've used decipher text message in the past to save my mom's messages when she passed away. I also took screenshots at the time too just to be safe since I was afraid about losing the info. Hope whatever way you go that you are able to save your sisters info.

You can turn it off but it will be off for all uses on the phone, not just text messages. The on/off control is in Settings > General > Keyboard

How to forward all recieved text messages to an e-mail address

I am very aware of this option on the blackberry where you can have all of your text messages e-mailed to you as well as recieved on your phone. I am not sure of a way to do this on iphone 3gs.

Blackberry devices had this option because Blackberry's data went through their servers and thus in a way were a carrier. It was thus more like a carrier setting that allowed this.
If this is an option it would be done at the carrier level, not the phone level.
As for me, I give out my Google Voice number to people not my actual phone number thus I have the option for email copies that way.

Try this...
Settings > iMessages - Off.
Settings > General > Reset - Reset network settings.
Settings > iMessages - On.
It may or may not work or only work temporarily.
