Auto License Management in solman causing Issues

Hi Team,
I was trying to schedule auto-license ON in solman.
I have scheduled everything :
As a result of this :
The maintenance licenses were able to reach from service market place to solman.
Although the satellite system license going to expire within 30 days (yellow status) still the new one there in solman is not getting applied to satellite system.
FYI:
Satellite system Maintenance license status Received License
SID Yellow Green
I have checked SDCCN maintenance task : there also I couldn't see any errors.
Let me know what is the job that applies this license in target system

Automatic License management

Hi Experts,
I have configured automatic license management in solman.
I can see the system data in License management overview
For one particular system , the maintenance license got expired and is displaying as Red in color
Question 1:
Why my Automatic license management doesn't renew the maintenance license for this system at service market place?
Question 2:
Now I have manually renewed it at service market place for that particular system .
but still It is showing red in color in License management overview
Trouble shooting :
I ran REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT and checked but still the the new license didn't reached solman system
The job log doesn't gives any error.
Please let me know what I'm missing.

Enterprise License Manager login issue...

Hey guys,
Trying to log into Enterprise Licensing Manager (on a Be6K v9) and am getting the error Invalid Username or Password. Please try again.
I am using the admin login that I use to log into Cisco Unified CM Administration.
Would I log into the CUCM console in vSphere to reset the password? If so what commands would I use.
I haven't found much on resetting the login password for ELM

I am facing a strange problem with our CCM, i cant add new phones (auto registration or manual add) although i still have 82 DLU's free

I have tried restarting the Call Manager servral times and still same error appears

I have checked the license manager service and it was the problem , it wouldn't start but i wasnt related to hardware issue
I found out from other community that it is a bug in my version 7.1.3 that when license exceeded certain limit that license service doesn't work
so i resolved the issue by deleting some licenses files
Also this issue was reported solved in 7.1.5 so i and doing the upgrade
anyway i have bought version 10.5 and will do the migration

SAP B1 License Manager not starting automatcially

Dear All
SAP Version : SAP 9.0 PL12
Issue :
1)SAP B1 License manager is not starting automatically even when the status is automatic in the Services.msc
2)Also when logged from the client system its asks for the IP address/server name every time.
3)Some times it connects with the Server name and sometimes with the IP address.
And at cases it doesn't even connect at all throwing the error message "Connection to the license server failed" .
and then when we replace the config files of SAP B1 to DI API it works fine at cases.
This issue occurs on a random basis and at almost in all the systems(System connected in the morning is facing issue at afternoon).
And it becomes an activity on a daily basis.
So kindly let us know the exact cause for this issue and also a permanent solution for the same.
Note : Firewall setting is turned off.

Have you Installed the License manager with the Admin Rights
SAP Business One doesn't start and License Server Selection screen comes up
SAP Business One generates this error message when logging on: "Connection with license server failed"
On License Server Selection this error occurs: "Connection to license server failed; if license server address is invalid, correct it; if TAO NT Naming Service stopped, activate it and restart License Manager"
On startup, the TAO NT Naming Service returns this warning: "The TAO NT Naming Service on local Computer started and then stopped...";
TAO NT Naming Service is not running. To access this service, right-click the My Computer icon and choose Manage -> Services
Connecting to License Server brings warning: "Failed to connect to License Server"
On startup, the SAP Business One License Manager returns this warning: "The SAP Business One License Manager on local Computer started and then stopped..."
RSP: Logging on to Remote Support Platform (RSP) brings this Error: "Agent service unavailable", RSP Agent Console cannot be accessed. Nevertheless SAP Business One RSP Agent Service is running and restarts successfully

Check in Service Manager TAO_NT_Naming_Service does it has dependency with SAP B 1 License Manager.
Check the above in the services... does it has got dependency
check does it has set to restart on first failure and second failure in the TAO NT properties Recovery..

License management isnt' displayes in SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

Hi all,
the point 'license management' in the transaction 'SOLMAN_WORKCENTER' on tab ChangeManagement isn't displayed in our solution manager.
I am looking for this point for configuring the license distribution over the solution manager.
I check it with my user which has the following authorization
roles:
SAP_SM_SOLUTION_ALL
SAP_SM_USER_ADMIN
SAP_SMSY_ALL
and all
SAP_SMWORK_*
profiles:
SAP_ALL
SAP_NEW
The prerequisits are also ok:
Solman 7.0 SPS16
ST-PI 2008_1_700 004
SAPA_ABA 700 016
SAP_BASIS 700 016
Do anybody have a hint for solving this issue?

Hi Sabrina,
"License Management" should be visible in Work Center "Change Management" as of Stack 16.
I am not aware of additional requirements.
Let SAP Support analyze your system by creating a customer message on component SV-SMG-LIC.

LabVIEW Scripting not showing up in NI License Manager

I have installed LV Scripting but can’t seem to activate it. It is not appearing in NI License Manger for some reason. I am using LV 2012. I have restarted both LV and the license manger without any luck. I am using a volume license for my normal development, don’t know if this is causing issues. Am I missing something obvious here?

This is my bad. Apparently you just need to enable VI Scripting from the tools->options menu under VI Server in LV 2012.

Enter login manager and X respawn issue

Wondering if anyone else has this. I have a login for myself and one for my wife and 'normal' people who don't want/know how to use a tiling WM and firefox-pentadacytl, and want to have a graphical login manager. SLiM caused too many hard crashes where I'd lose the keyboard. GDM and KDM have too much cruft and LXDM is even less stable. Enter looked good, but on logout from openbox (not ScrotWM), tty7 locks up and I'll get the "X respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes message" in my logs/tty1.
With SLiM it looks like this is an auth. file and/or xorg.conf error from what I've read. I've been relying on X to auto-config and don't have an xorg.conf.
Where do I want to start to work around this?
I'll post my initab and Xorg logs in a second or two.

Took another pass at the login manager thing again today. Just tried to re-install xorg-xkbcomp, to little apparent effect.
Logging out of ScrotWM works. Logging into Openbox (via my other user's login) works. Attempting to log out of openbox, either with the r-click logout or with $ openbox --exit, drops me to an X root window and enter does not reappear without # killall X or #telinit 3 followed by #telinit 5.
Is is possible that this is a result of the
exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch --exit-with-session openbox-session
line in the regular user .xinitrc? Otherwise I'm at a loss for ideas besides hacking the Enter code.
Mostly giving up on this for now.

Quantity Depreciation in GTS License Management

Hello Friends,
We want to define License management in GTS with quantity depreciation functionality.
We have set up all the relevant configuration and master data for License determination and it works fine.
But the quantity depreciation is not happening.
Below configurations are made in GTS for quantity depreciation.
1. License type is marked for "Quantity Update" , Basis for quantity update is defined as "QUAITM Document Item Quantity" and value assignment level is "A"
2. Item Category is assigned to Depreciation Group and Quantity Depreciation is "-".
3. License is maintained with a highest quantity and UOM.
When we create document license gets determined successfully and the log shows message "Quantities were written off completely". In license at Assigned Document level we can see the document assigned to license and Quantity Depreciated column shows correct quantity. But we check at the quantities level in license and quantity depreciated column shows zero quantity and Remaining Quantity = Highest Quantity of the license.
And also If I create the next document with quantity more than the highest quantity of the license it does not get blocked in GTS.
Can you anyone help me resolve this issue.

is it possible to manage a specific user issued-license from the API ?
for example, if i would like to change the time limit on a specific book for a specific user after he has downloaded and opened it ?
im trying to find the best method to manage time-limited licenses per user with an option to cancel or extend the license.

Once a license has been issued, there is no further required connection to validate that license. Because of this there is no way to revoke a license after it has been issued.
If you want to increase the time period of the license you can do this as a new transaction, but the current handling of this within ADE (and most other RMSDK) applications will be to download the file again, leaving the user with one file that has the old license, as well as any annotations that they have done, and a file with the new license. If you are using your own RMSDK application it may be possible to update the license of the old file (after sufficient tinkering both with the code and with getting Adobe approval for the changes).

Explorer InfoSpaces on HANA Views - column label changes cause issues?

Key question is – do simply label changes in HANA view cause issues with Explorer InfoSpaces? Furthermore, on source view changes, does the InfoSpace also need to be adjusted?
What we have observed is this
1. InfoSpaces have been created using the “SAP HANA appliance” connection highlighted below. The corresponding “Home” screen is shown below that, so there are around 14 or so InfoSpaces that should be available.
2. Yesterday, there was a production deployment that contained some changes to the underlying views in the form of label changes (not column name changes).
3. Now, in the “Manage” screen we cannot see these same 14 InfoSpaces available under the expected connection. Instead, they are all available under the “Source Unavailable” node with the default action of “Change Source” shown.
Additionally, we are seeing some strange behavior where certain facets are actually containing the wrong data. For example, in a facet/column called “Source Type”, where the expected values are “NBP or PBP”, we are seeing Material numbers like “00001112453”. This leads me to believe that there is a mapping issue under the covers.

Our BOE Explorer is Version: 14.1.1 Build: 1072 - I’m not sure how this corresponds with your 69.01 to 74 numbers (release note numbers?).
But it sounds identical to your description.
One of our observations: if we change the sorting on a facet pane using the upper right sort control the values are corrected for a while, at least until we change a measure and the set of facets get updated with the miss-mapped values again. This only occurs on some models and we haven’t been able to determine what the underlying criteria might be that aggravates the problem.

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro and the GPU is causing issues with Yosemite. There are a number of issues I have run across:
If I have four tabs open on Safari then I start to get a flickering on the screen from the GPU refreshing
When I leave the computer alone for more than 20 mins the screen saver should start -- what happens is that the screen goes to black. When I move the cursor I do not get the login screen. I have to reboot
FireFox Web browser will not run
I get issues with the computer running very slowly
I have already turned off the transparency option in settings. Any ideas??

Do you have more than one OS on the Mac?
You may want to look at something like http://bjango.com/mac/istatmenus/. This has a Free Trial window, but it is a commercial application. If there are any heat/sensor issues, this may help.
A SMC Reset or PRAM/NVRAM reset may also help.

NI License Manager overwrote Unigraphics LM.

The NI License Manager overwrote the data for the Unigraphics License. It seems like environment variables and other things were modified so when I reinstall Unigraphics with the repair option of setup, NI still comes up as the only license in town. How do I add back the Unigraphics License ?

You may want to contact NI and Unigraphics tech support about this error. If one of their products interferes with the other, I am sure that they would like to resolve the issue. You may also try installing the Unigraphics licence to see if it overwrites the NI license.

License Manager AutoStart

In the Client Server some times I have to start License Manager manually. In the License Manager I have enabled 'start when Operating System starts' and in the Administrator Services I have made the Properties in SAP License Manager Automatic.Can u give solution for this?

2. TAO NT Naming Service is set auto start and then try.
3. It may be happen monthly once due to updates.
