I was just wondering how do I set Auto keypad lock on blackerry curve 8900?

Try going into Options | Password (or Options | Security Options | General Settings). In this screen you can set your Security Timeout duration.

I don't know about an SMS auto-sig, but for emails, you can access that via Setup > Email Settings (it may be slightly different depending on your device OS level). Navigate into the account and there is a field for that information.
You can also do this from your carriers BIS website:

If you've not used this before, you'll have to create an ID/password and associate it to your BB PIN...and then you'll have to also use those credentials on your BB. But there should be a checkbox to tick that will have your BB remember those credentials for future uses, so you only have to enter them once.
Now, if you are on BES for some email, you must do something different...let us know and we'll guide you about that.

FREE Call & SMS Blocker for Curve 8900

Is there anyone know an application for blocking unwanted call & SMS FREEWARE for Curve 8900???
like black&whitelist... but i don't want the shareware...

I don't know of a free one. You can also look at iCallManager.
Meanwhile if you want to block ALL SMS messages, you can do that at Options > Security > Firewall settings and check the items you want blocked completely.

Enable Cookie/Wifi connection for curve 8900

Hi,
Anybody know how to enable cookie for curve 8900? I've tried clearing cache history already but no luck.... I can't access to gmail, hotmail and yahoo mail due to this error.
Also, would you have any idea if this is related to the error 65 when I'm signing in to windows live messenger and yahoo messenger?
I'm also having a problem connecting to Wifi, it can detect the wifi network but won't connect, anybody know hot to fix this?

Hi ninarollaine,
Do you currently have a BlackBerry data plan with your wireless network provider? Some network providers requre you have a BlackBerry data plan to browse, even when on Wi-Fi. I would recommend contacting them for more information.

Lack of support for Curve 8900 and Storm in terms of theme builder

Searching hard for a workaround to be enable to export or even start creating theme with 480x360, as for now i always got back on the "wait for 4.7". But the customers are yelling now.
Second thing: Modify the media screen, as you may noticed, the media screen never changes regardless how the theme looks.
I wish you all a happy new year, make me happy to, and provide me with some useful content, so that i will be there at your place to support others.

anyway, things always take time with new devices. shortage of device, not enough supplies for accessories, Media Sync compatibility available several days after a device is released...

New battery, D-X1 for curve 8900, does not work!

I got my Blackberry curve 8900 last christmas (dec-25-2013) and started to experience some problems with it. it started to crash and whent to a blank white screen and wouldn't turn back on. I also noticed my battery was warped to a shocking size! I asked friends if they had the same problem and I read online that I needed a new battery. I then bought a new D-X1 battery and now it wont even charge! the read light comes on for a few second when I plug the charger in for a few seconds and blinks! the phone wont even turn on! does anyone know what is causing this problem and how I can solve it?

Have you tried a hard reset (shut off, remove battery, replace battery)? My camera was working fine for the first few weeks, then stopped zooming, only showing the '+' on top of the camera icon, though the trackball was still working. After the hard reset, the -/+ option returned to normal.

Need a new drivers CD for Curve 8900!!

I am trying to sell this unlocked Curve 8900 and have lost the CD drivers. It was originally bought with TMobile but I am in disputes with them so they are of no help. I am currently with ATT. I could check with them, but figured this may be a better place to put the question out there. How can I get a duplicate CD or are there downloadable drivers for the new buyer???

FREE Facebook Application & Skype for Curve 8900

Hi, I just bought a BlackBerry Curve 8900 in last week and kind of frustrated when I was not finding any free application for Facebook chatting. I tried with ebuddy and nimbuzz but both of them did not work.
Can anyone please let me know if there is any free application for Facebook chatting in this device ?
Also, is there anyway to run the Skype in Curve 8900 ?

Well I don't know any free facebooks chat app but there is paid apps which would cost you USD 1.99. If you wish to have this app the check this link.
Skype for BlackBerry is available to Verizon subscribers only. Till date this is exclusive for them only

Javascript error fix for Curve 8900

Hello,
My browser settings indicated that Javascript is enabled yet I continue to receive the msg that Javascript is off when trying to view content on Youtube.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

There are two JavaScript configuration. One is for popup and another is for support. Check both of them and observice the behavior.

Open KEYPAD LOCK for Curve8900 after install new OS

how to unlock keypad for Curve 8900 AFTER UPDADE NEW OS VERSION 5.0.
1. To Lock the keypad just press *(A).
2. To Unlock the Keypad just press BACK Button (right side track button) n press upper left button (On Top the Device).

Auto lock every 15 second in my iphone4s

Hi...i have set my iphone4s auto lock for 1 minute.....but after about 15 second, after the screen lock.....the screen light up...and after about 15 sec it lock again....this blinking process non stop...what happen?

Seperate Passcode Lock for Exchange Mail?

I have already have an auto lock for my iPhone but for my exchange mail, I want another level of security, say another passcode lock or even a password so that a person who knows my auto lock passcode, can't see my mails. I also want to receive push email notifications as I do now... the reason I am specifying this is because there are apps who provide security to the email, but then I don't get immediate notifications, I have to keep checking my mails.
Is there any way?

IPad Browser seems to Disconnect/time out after Auto Lock

After iPad auto locks, it seems like the browser (Safari and Chrome have both been tested) disconnects or times out. When I unlock the iPad, the pages need to reload or re-establish a connection - and because of the apparent disconnect I am forced to log back into the web page I was on. How can I prevent this disconnect so I can utilize ipads easily in my office? It's so much easier than lugging around a laptop from client to client.
Background: I utilize a few iPads for my business. My EMR software is web based, which means I can use anything with a browser (ipad, laptop, desktop, etc) to log in and use the program. The program itself has an auto log off at 60 minutes, but on my iPads we don't make it that long. We will log into the web site, begin our day but need to set down the iPad when working with clients which can take 20 minutes or more. Our iPads auto lock for security reasons. When we unlock the iPads to continue working, the browser has to, essentially, re-establish a connection to the site - so it is not maintaining an active connection in that browser. The only thing I have found that helps is disabling the auto lock but that is unacceptable as a long term solution.
It's not the program or the programs site - my laptops work fine as long as I disable hibernation. If it were my network, both laptops and ipads would have the same issue when the wifi signal was lost. What's more, it will happen on other pages - like my bank site or even shopping.
So how can I keep the browser's connection active even when auto locked?

Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
