Auto lock makes you unlock phone every time?
So if you turn auto lock off, the backlight never goes off, burning your battery. If you use any other setting (1-5 mins), you have to unlock your phone EVERY time you use it or receive a message? Really? Is this correct? This most aggravating and I find it hard to believe there is no way to turn auto lock off and still have the backlight operate normally, i.e. turn off after use.

I've same problem in iPhone 5c. I was using iPhone 4, problem appears after updating to ios7. I changed my phone to iPhone 5c, looks like it's a bug in ios7. But I think you might not turn on or off your internet connection frequently to reduce this problem. ITunes Makes Me Log in Every Time I Open It
iTunes v. 12.0.1.26 and Yosemite updates recently installed. 2012 27" iMac
iTunes makes me log in every time I open it. I thought the problem was fixed in THIS THREAD and it was a very helpful set of instructions by Linc but the problem keeps recurring.
I reposted the question in that thread, but since the thread is marked as solved I'm afraid no one will see it. So I'm reposting here.
Situation:
Upon opening iTunes I get messages popping up telling me to
Sign in to iTunes to use this computer for automatic downloads
Sign in to iTunes for iTunes Radio to use autodowload
Sign in to iTunes to check for downloads
(repeat of) Sign in to iTunes to use this computer for automatic downloads
Sign in to use iTunes Store
These happen one after another, rapidly. Every time. I called Apple help as well and they didn't have any further help.
I've repaired permissions, trashed my plist for iTunes from my Library, done all of Linc's instruction in the other thread.Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
Change Settings for Keychain "login"
In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked
Keep login keychain unlocked
is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access. -
Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. Why does iTunes make me log in every time I open it since upgrading to v.12.0.1.26 and Yosemite?
Since upgrading to itunes v. 12.0.1.26 and Yosemite (same day), iTunes has been making me log in every single time I open it.
Not only that, but it makes me log in several times, for iCloud, for iTunes match, for whatever else we do on iTunes. It gives me like five different reasons to log in, and I have to type my password in five times.
Can anyone tell me what is going on here and how to fix it? Thanks!Back up all data before proceeding.

How can I find out what my password on the computer is? I had to change it due to my teenagers helping themselves, and now every time there is a system update, I have to have the password, which I cannot remember or find. It then wants it every time I log in and pops up Key Chain Access as well. Very annoying. I do not have the disc to reload it and fear I would loose everything on my computer as there is also trouble with the back up system. Too many issues and not enough solutions. Why not? You need your system dvds to troubleshoot & to reset/change passwords in view of your current OS listed in your profile.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.

I have to have the password, which I cannot remember or find.
When selecting passwords, make sure it's one that you will NEVER forget AND no one else can figure out.
Old school--- > Print it out & keep in a safe place. A place that ONLY you know about AND never forget.
New school---> Get a password manager utility. Highly recommend 1Password which is shareware. Do a Google search for free password managers. -
Why do i have to pair my bluetooth head phones every time I want to use them?
Every time I want to use my Philips Bluetooth head phones, I have to unpair them and then pair them again. They say connected in blue tooth settings, but no audio is coming through. Worked flawlessly with my RAZR Maxx. This is something I use a lot, and may make this phone a return.
Yikes, I know how important it is to have the bluetooth working with out any issues, jwennrn. Are you still trying to use the bluetooth with the Droid Razr Maxx or with a different phone? Was there any new updates or applications that were downloaded when you noticed this problem started? Please keep us posted. I'm eager to work with you to get this working again.

Re-register / Enter Unlock Code Every Time PS Album is Launched

I have a client with Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 bringing up the registration screen each time it's launched. The registration has been completed several times, and each time he did receive his unlock code. If you put the unlock code in, it is accepted no problem. However, next time Album is launched, it comes back up with the registration screen. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Andrea:
I had the same problem, registering again every time I opened the program, even though the unlock code had been accepted before.
I was going to uninstall it.
I went to "Add or Remove Programs", clicked "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2"(the first of two entries), clicked "Change/Remove", and in the box that appeared was a choice to remove or repair. OK, what have I got to lose, so I chose repair. I then started the program, installed my unlock code one more time, and have been free of the problem since.

Why does my iphone sync all 5000 songs on my phone every time I connect it?
Every time I try to add songs to my iphone 4s, it has to resync all 5000 songs that are currently stored on the phone, rather than just the one or two new additions. If I disconnect the phone before it is done all the music it hasn't gotten to will not play. I am running ios7 and the current version of itunes 11. Thanks!

If your entire iTunes library is syncing every time you connect your iPhone, you may want to try setting up syncing in iTunes again by following the steps in the appropriate article below. If you're syncing music, try un-checking and then re-checking the "Sync music" checkbox in iTunes.

Make iTunes choose library every time it opens?
I'm familiar with the option key method to have iTunes let you choose between different libraries when it opens, but I want to find out if there is any way to force iTunes to always ask this every time it opens. I have two, one that is connected to my external drive and the other is strictly music on my macbook. The problem is that I forget sometimes to close iTunes when leaving home or work, or I forget to hold down option when I open it.
I've looked everywhere in preferences with no luck and searched the forums but apparently I'm the only person that wants to do this.
Can anybody suggest a method that could automatically include the option key function when iTunes opens every time?

How to make Bluetooth default on every time T500 boots
Hi everyone,
I am a new T500 2081 user. I did a Windows 7 pro x64 clean install and was able to install all the ThinkVantage software including the hotkey driver, so I can use Fn+F5 to activate the Bluetooth. The problem is everytime I restart my T500 the Bluetooth is off by default. I have to press Fn+F5 to activate it again and again. I am getting a Thinkpad Bluetooth laser mouse and it will be a pain if I have to activate my mouse every time the computer is restarted.
When I boot my computer in Ubuntu 9.10 on another partition of the hard drive the Bluetooth is always on, so I guess the issue in Windows 7 is a software setting one. Any idea how to fix it? Thank you!!!microwu wrote:

Does that mean you just always have to press Fn+F5 everytime?
This information is quite old and most likely not valid for newer systems. Bluetooth should remain on as long as it was enabled during the last boot and the radio hasn't been shut off.. That being said I would look in your power profile and make sure the system isn't shutting down the bluetooth radio when there are no devices connected. (or after sleep). This would make you have to turn it on every time.
Also I would check the bluetooth settings and make sure there aren't any settings which leave it shutoff by default, this could also be considered a possible security feature.
Sorry I don't have any more complete information to offer since my thinkpad didn't come with bluetooth... I wanted the turbo drive

Code Navigator makes Dreamweaver CS4 quit, every time.
Every time I select the Code Navigator, Dreamweaver CS4 freezes for about 4 seconds, then quits unexpectedly. I've tried reinstalling my operating system (Mac OS X) as well as the program. It also happens on a brand new user. Any see this before? I can't find on any of the forums, or in google. Thanks!
If Dreamweaver is behaving in an odd way, it frequently means you have a corrupt personal configuration folder. Close Dreamweaver, locate the personal configuration folder, and rename it. When you restart Dreamweaver, it should create a new configuration folder with all the program defaults. For details of how to find the configuration folder, see this page in the Dreamweaver FAQ.
You may want to look at some of the other troubleshooting options as well.
