Auto login in AUR with Firefox.

Is there a way to auto login into AUR with Firefox. Now when I get there, the username and password is filled in. But I would like to be logged in. I think Opera does it.
Possible?

It should work, I've updated my FF last week and had no problem so far. Actually I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.8 to post this message. I have noscript extension as well.
All you need to do is enable cookies for forms.oracle.com/ and set it as whitelisted if you have any security extensions.

  • Why am I continually being asked my security question on my banking application when I use either Windows XP or Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.13 but not on my Windows XP system with Firefox 3.6.3?

    I have three computers, two run Windows XP. One of the XP systems has Firefox 3.6.3 and the other has 3.6.13 installed. The banking application login acts normally with Firefox 3.6.3 but each banking login requires the security question answered with Firefox 3.6.13. This happens on both the Windows XP system using 3.6.13 and the Windows 7 system using 3.6.13. Testing Internet Explorer on all three computers does not show the same problem with the security question.
    I am unable to trace this starting with any particular Firefox update due to initially thinking the problem was with the banking website.
    The login webpage is https://you.usersonlnet.com/asp/USERS/Common/Login/NetLogin.asp

    I believe I've solved this issue by carrying out the following action:-
    First cancel all “send and receive” operations in OutLook. Next remove all emails from your "Outbox" (by either deleting them or moving them to the “Draft” folder). Next shutdown OutLook and then click on the “Start” button on the lower left-hand side of the Window’s taskbar, then click on “Run” now type in “regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll” without the quotation marks, so it looks like this:
    regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll
    Note the space between .exe and inetcomm.dll and hit “Enter” on the keyboard.
    The computer will execute the command. If all goes well in a few moments a dialog box will appear and state “dll registered successful
    I have not had it hand since ... cross fingers ;)

  • Norton Manage Logins Icon is missing with Firefox 4.0. My auto logins no longer work

    Norton has a manage logins icon that has disappeared from my toolbar when I updated to Firefox 4.0. Additionally, the Norton auto login function has stopped working, even though it appears fine when I look at the function in Norton.

    Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have released an update for Norton 360 to make it compatible with Firefox 4, for details see http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
    I do not know about other Norton products, but if you run Norton LiveUpdate it should inform you if there are updates available. If no updates are available, you can downgrade to Firefox 3.6 if you want to use the Norton add-ons.
    To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
    You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
    To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
    For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • Auto cooky login in aur

    I wonder why nobody has made this suggestion so far:
    Wouldn't it be great if login on aur.archlinux.org was done by cookies as in the forums? I use the package search now and then and Firefox always asks me for the master password which annoys me. How much effort would it be to implement this feature?
    fi-dschi

    What do you mean by auto login?
    Do you want to implement Integrated windows authentication in OIM Design console. If yes, then I don't think it's possible.
    Post your requirement here so that ppl can help you out.

  • HP ProtectTools password auto fill in does not work with Firefox 4

    My HP Compaq 6715b has a credential manager called ProtectTools that stores user name and password for favorite websites and auto fills the information when the website is opened up. This worked fine with Firefox 3.x.x but since I upgraded to Firefox 4 it is no longer "syncing". I have checked the program and I am "logged in" which is what is necessary to activate this program. I have tried logging off and then back on without any results. I have tried to go back to the 3.x.x version of Firefox and cannot do that either. Technical support for my computer no longer is available from HP due to it's age (2007). Does anyone know if Firefox 4 and ProtecTools is compatible? What do I need to do to get these two "communicating" again?

    I think I solved the problem. I have CCleaner software and had the clean cookies checked. After unchecking the box and restarting, the auto login works fine. So if anyone has a cleaner program or anti-virus program with clean cookies enabled, auto login for google or yahoo will not work.

  • Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding.

    Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. If you need more information pls send your concerns via my email address.
    Thanks so much

    Hi, the work around suggested above should put you in working mode in the meantime. However to help investigate the issue it is possible to analyze what is not loading or taking a long time by analyzing the network traffic or http headers of the Nunit web page.

  • Cant login to Bank of America to pay bills anymore with Firefox 4

    I had bookmark's set to all my online billpaying accounts,like for example Bank of America. When I click on login, it takes me to a totally white blank screen now (in Firefox 4) and does not show me my site key so I can enter my password. This has happened on numerous sites. OR if it lets me into a site (like into my ING direct account, some "clickables" there to do certain actions are totally locked and I am not directed to do the action I request. I am having similar problems with AT&T Yahoo Mail that won't let me look at my contacts when logged in. It locks up for that and will not even display the contacts. I am getting frustrated with Firefox 4 because so many websites don't work as they used to work.

  • Auto Login With Request Parameters

    Hello
    I am working on a test JSF application in NetBeans 5.5 using the visual web pack. Currently there are only two pages in the app, a login page and a main page.
    I am trying to figure out how I could set up an auto login to a JSF based web app. I would like the app to be able to take username and password parameters on the URL and automatically attempt to log into the app with those values. When the URL contains these parameters and they're valid, instead of displaying the login page, it would start up with the main page displayed. If the paramters were not present or invalid, the login page would be displayed.
    I've read about how to pull request parameter values into from a JSP page, but I don't think that would helpful for this case. I have instances of ApplicationBean, SessionBean and RequestBean in the project. I'm wondering if any of these would be the appropriate place to add some code to check for the parameters, attempt to login and display the correct page based on the login result.
    And advice greatly appreciated.
    Shelli

    I'll be so kind to share a basic example I've been playing with a while ago :)
    public class UserFilter implements javax.servlet.Filter {
        @SuppressWarnings("unused")
        private FilterConfig filterConfig;
        public void init(FilterConfig filterConfig) {
            this.filterConfig = filterConfig;
        public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response, FilterChain chain)
            throws IOException, ServletException
            // Check PathInfo.
            HttpServletRequest httpRequest = (HttpServletRequest) request;
            String pathInfo = StringX.trim(httpRequest.getRequestURI(), httpRequest.getContextPath());
            if (pathInfo.indexOf(PATH_INC + "/") == 0 || pathInfo.indexOf(MAIN_JSF) == 0) {
                // If include files are loaded (subviews, images, css, js) or if unfriendly URL is
                // requested somehow, then continue the chain and abort this filter. In case of
                // unfriendly URL's, the next filter in the chain is the FriendlyUrlFilter which
                // translates the URL and will redirect back to this filter.
                chain.doFilter(request, response);
                return;
            // Get UserSession from HttpSession.
            HttpSession session = httpRequest.getSession();
            UserSession userSession = (UserSession) session.getAttribute(SESSION_ID);
            if (userSession == null) {
                // No UserSession found in HttpSession; lookup SessionId in cookie.
                String sessionId = Context.getCookieValue(httpRequest, COOKIE_ID);
                if (sessionId != null) {
                    // SessionId found in cookie; lookup UserSession by SessionId in database.
                    userSession = new UserSession();
                    userSession.setSessionId(sessionId);
                    LoadQuery<UserSession> loadQuery = new LoadQuery<UserSession>(userSession);
                    try {
                        Dao.execute(loadQuery);
                        userSession = loadQuery.getOne(); // This can be null.
                        // If this is null, then session is just deleted from DB or the cookie is fake.
                        Logger.info("Loading usersession succeed: " + userSession);
                    } catch (DaoException e) {
                        Logger.error("Loading usersession failed.", e);
                if (userSession == null) { // loadQuery.getOne() can return null.
                    // No SessionId found in cookie, or no UserSession found in DB; create new UserSession.
                    sessionId = StringX.getUniqueID();
                    userSession = new UserSession(sessionId);
                    try {
                        Dao.execute(new SaveQuery<UserSession>(userSession));
                        Logger.info("Creating usersession succeed:" + userSession);
                    } catch (DaoException e) {
                        Logger.error("Creating usersession failed.", e);
                    // Put SessionId in cookie.
                    HttpServletResponse httpResponse = (HttpServletResponse) response;
                    Context.setCookieValue(httpResponse, COOKIE_ID, sessionId);
                // Set UserSession in current HttpSession.
                session.setAttribute(SESSION_ID, userSession);
            // Add hit and update UserSession.
            userSession.addHit();
            try {
                Dao.execute(new SaveQuery<UserSession>(userSession));
                Logger.info("Updating usersession succeed:" + userSession);
            } catch (DaoException e) {
                Logger.error("Updating usersession failed.", e);
            // Continue filtering.
            chain.doFilter(request, response);
        public void destroy() {
            this.filterConfig = null;
    }By the way, the 'User' DTO is wrapped in the UserSession which can be retrieved in the backing bean by:
    public User getUser() {
        return ((UserSession) Context.getSessionAttribute(SESSION_ID)).getUser();
    }If the User is not logged in, then this is null. If the user is logged in, then put the User in the UserSession object.

  • Auto login with web auth?

    I have a guest WLAN on a mobility anchor that uses web auth for access. There is a small set of local users, but the majority of the auth comes from a Radius server. Question is, can I setup some type of policy that will auto login users based on MAC address so they don't have to web authenticate?
    Thanks!
    Edit: I have seen where you can enable mac filtering on the WLAN and specify individual mac addresses to permit. This would work, but I still want web auth for the majority of users. Only a few users should be automatically connected. The rest should still authenticate via web auth.

    Well I have some fantastic news.... and then some horrible news at the same time...
    In 7.0.116.0 a new feature was introduced called web auth on mac-filter failure.  Basically it does exactly what I think you are asking. Right?   You mac filter your wlan, and then if anyone fails the mac filter, they can web authenticate.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't work in an Anchored scenario  as the Mac filter is L2 performed on the Foreign WLC, and the Anchor does L3 with no knowledge the Foreign was good to bypass webauth....   CSCts54424 is tracking this behavior for Anchor scenario, but I don't think it is planned to go into 7.0......

  • [SOLVED] Can only login to Arch forum with Firefox

    Hi everyone,
    I'm a new member and thus do not familiar with the rule. Please tell me if I post in the wrong place !
    I have registered a new account on Arch forum. However, I can only login with Firefox.
    When I try to login with other browser (Opera, Chromium, Konquerer), it says:
    Redirecting
    Logged in successfully. Redirecting …
    Click here if you do not want to wait any longer (or if your browser does not automatically forward you)
    And then redirect me to the previous page without changing my login status.
    When I login with Firefox, everything is normal. My login status is changed and I can post this one !
    I have just installed Arch Linux this afternoon and have not changed anything.
    Does the forum have problem?!
    Anyone has the same problem with me?!

    Your SYSTEM is broken because a browser does not work? And that requires a reinstall?
    There may be a problem during installation. That's what I mean.
    Anyway, I have just installed Arch Linux. Firefox is still the only browser that work.
    Your time would be better spent fixing the problem first. Cache or configuration, pick one or both.
    I'm pretty sure that cache and configuration are not concerned with this problem. I'm a web developer and I know these stuffs.
    Besides, I don't think that we need to config anything with a newly installed browser. If the default settings do not work with normal website, it's a bad browser (in this case, we have three bad browsers: Konqueror, Chromium, Opera... and may be more).
    I'm using KDE and I don't know whether this problem comes from KDE or not. However, I can login to many other forums with Konqueror, Opera and Chromium.
    This forum may not create the session or cookies correctly when I use other browsers.
    Anyway, If no one confirms that he or she has the same problem, let's close this topic here.

  • Why doesn't the "auto fill" feature of my google bar not work with Firefox 4 ???

    Google bar's "auto fill" feature worked EVERY TIME with the last version of Firefox, but works rarely with Firefox 4. ????
    I have reinstalled my google bar AND Firefox 4, but that didn't help.

    We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
    #Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
    #In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
    #From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
    #Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
    #Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
    #Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Howto open a webpage with Firefox upon login on Mac?

    I'd like to open a webpage upon login on Mac.
    What i did so far:
    - I saved the url location from firefox onto my desktop. It's a .webloc file. Firefox can open this file at this point.
    - Firefox is set up as my default browser.
    - Added the webloc-file to my startup list on my Mac useraccount.
    Then i try. The website will open, but it uses Safari instead of Firefox (firefox is still default browser).
    Next thing it tried:
    - Associate .webloc files to open with Firefox by default instead of Safari (that appeared to be the problem).
    - PROBLEM: Mac/Firefox won't let me use Firefox as default application to run webloc files with.
    How to solve this?

    Hello Zeror, you have firefox as default browser in firefox preferences only ?
    or you have it already and in your safari preferences ? check from Safari : menu > Preferences > General > Default web browser > firefox .
    you can try the above if you haven't already.
    thank you

    '''Did you backup whatever bookmarks you did have on the computer ? '''
    Remember any restoring of bookmarks overwrites whatever he current set is, and you may not want to loose them.
    Even if up until now you have not made any backups of Desktop bookmarks Firefox will have backed up some of them into sets of daily bookmark backups. Once you have backed up your current set you could look at what it has by restoring those bookmarks, you may find one of those sets is fairly complete.
    By the way if you look at the profile files and folders that you should now have on the desktop you should see it contains a bookmarks backup folder, the size of the files within should indicate whether they contain anything.
    You need to go into the bookmarks library and try the restore option. Backup each set that you look at if it has anything of use in it, before trying the next set. With look one of those will be a fairly complete set of bookmarks.
    * USE '''Show All Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Restore '''
    ** see [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer#w_restoring-from-backups]]_restoring-from-backups
    I do not use Firefox on mobiles, but before you try anything further you do need to backup the desktop bookmarks and learn what existing backups you have. Unless you master that you are in continual danger of overwriting and loosing bookmarks.
    Presumably you have already found this listing of help articles for mobiles

  • Expose not working with auto-login off

    I've been using Snow Leopard with auto-login logging into my user. However, I recently decided to turn auto-login off so someone couldn't just turn on my computer and be logged in as me.
    When I do this, expose functionality ceases to work once I'm logged in. The track pad and the button (f3) do not execute expose functionality.
    If I change my settings back to auto-login to my user, everything is fine again.
    Any ideas?

    try resetting your dock preferences which contain exposé settings. delete the file /users/username/library/preferences/com.apple.dock.plist and log out/in. your dock, spaces and exposé will be reset to the defaults. configure them and see if it works ok now.

  • Workspace login issue with Firefox

    Hi all,
    I have run across an issue where the cursor for logging into Workspace does not appear in Firefox when coming from a redirection link in a Task email.
    The scenario is as follows: We have a long-lived process that emails a user when a task is assigned to them to log into Workspace. The email contains a link for the user to click on which will open up a browser window to the Workspace login screen. If the user's browser default is Firefox, the browser window will open but the cursor for entering User ID and Password is not immediately available. You can click on the User ID box and it gets highlighted, but there is no cursor available. I can get the cursor to appear if I take the focus away from the login boxes. For example, I click into the address bar, then click back into the User ID box or if I minimize the browser window then restore the browser and click into the User ID box. This would be counter-intuitive to the user who is expecting the cursor to be available when the browser opens up for them.
    Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this a known Firefox or Adobe issue that has a fix? I've update to the latest Firefox version and Flash, but still have this issue. There are no problems with IE opening up from the link in the email and the cursor is always available. I don't want to have to force users to use IE as their default browser because of this issue with Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    It sounds like a issue with FireFox and Workspace.

    When you log into Workspace 9.0 using the Firefox 3.6.x web browser in Windows, you are unable to enter text in the User ID or Password fields. You can see it in the release notes at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/releasenotes.html#EndUserIssues.
