Auto Login to NT and Manual Login to NDS

Hi,
Actually I'm using a policie for the dynamic local user on some
workstations.I removed this policie.
I would like use the login for novell manually and an autologin for the
windows session.
Exemple :
I have a local account on my workstation called "toto" .
I have two netware login called "user1" and "user2".
I want use "user1" or "user2" for the netware session manually and an
autologin for the "process" account on the windows session.
The problem was that with the policie and the DLU, I had 2 local
accounts on the local workstation called user1 and user2 and , I want
just use the "toto" account.
All settings in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\Winlogon
dont work.
It looks like that the novell Client control the login.
Someone have an solution ?
Thanks you

    Sainath,
Referring admin guide as mentioned by Craig is good option.
Let me give you few steps that I did in one of my projects.
Open command prompt and navigate to the path "C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\DataRelationshipManagement\client\batch-client".. here you can see many see other utilities as well.
drm-batch-client-credentials.exe is the one used to encrypt the userid and password.
open this in command prompt and then choose the application to which you want to encrypt the password.
then remove userid and password from batch script then run it... it does what you want

  • Updating and Auto Login

I've looked all through the forum and can't find an answer so here goes. I have my iMac set to automatic login to my wifes account. Here are my steps for runing Software update. I log out of wifes account login to admin, restart to CD, run disc utility to repair permissions, restart. Log out of wifes acct, back into admin, run software update, restart. Go through theoriginal steps from repairing a second time and restart. Now my to my question. Is it ok to disable auto login totally (forever) or do the updates need to have a full login to complete? Will the updates complete if the bootup stops at the login pane? Sometimes if there are more than one update avalible depending on what they are I may do run them seperatly (carry over habit from windows) this ads an extra step to updates. Thanks in advance.

Admin account is separate and used only for installing software or running software updates and none of the other accounts have admin rights. I'm pretty sure that a permission repair can not be correctly done if you try to repair while the device is mounted, hence boot from the install CD and run permissions from there. That's how I optimized the drive (defrag) when I was running OS 7.2 all the way to 8.6.,(we won't even bring up OS 9, LOL) start the machine from my Symantec CD and repair and optimize from it then restart. So do I need to let the OS boot all the way into one of the partitions to "complete the install" and "finish the update process" or will it be perfectly ok if it stops at the Login pane?

  • Auto-login using cookies

I have been prototyping and researching Weblogic authentication for several weeks
now. With a form-based login servlet, how would one implement auto-login? Basically,
the web site is supposed to set a persistent cookie which contains the users login
information (encrypted). When the user comes back, they should be logged in automatically.
This seems like a pretty common concept, but totally unsupported by J2EE. I have
looked into using filters, but ran into several problems. First, filters don't
get executed on a protected resource unless the user is authenticated. I don't
want to use Weblogic's AuthFilter since it's deprecated. Secondly, I tried modifying
my login servlet to forward to j_security_check. That doesn't work because Weblogic
won't let you. There is a workaround for that, but j_security_check ignores whatever
wrapper you put around HttpServletRequest. This makes it impossible to "login"
for the user. Third, I tried using ServletAuthentication.weak() to manually authenticate
the user, but how do I redirect the user back to the intended URL? I figured
out where Weblogic stores the URL in the HttpSession, but that's not officially
    documented.
I noticed some references in Weblogic's Portal product that it supports auto-login.
However, I haven't figured out how to do it myself in a Weblogic server.
I am using Weblogic 7 sp2. Thanks in advance.

    Chun,
what you need to do is to implement is a Perimeter Authentication. I did that
successfully with SP2. You have to use SP2, because in SP1 there qas no way to
supress that all cookies are BASE64 decrypted.
What helped me a lot is to study SampleSecurityProvidersUnmanaged.zip that you
    can download from
    dev2dev/code
    Enjoy!
    Cheers.

  • IPhone Hotspot auto login deoesn't work anymore

The auto login function to my tmobile Hotspot has worked for over 1 year without any problem on my iPhone 4.
After migration to ios 5 / ios 5.1 the function doesn't work any more and i have to login manually, each time.

    Hi Craig,
Please look at the Technote 11545. If you want to use a User Visible SO and
make it available to other SO or clients you have only 3 choices:
    * using an agent
    * using BindObject
    * using reference partition
Solutions and "How to" you can find in this Technote.

    Hi.
I want to update our login window so a user only has to manually log in
once, regardless of what applications they run.
Currently, whenever a user wants to run an app, they have to log in
    manually.
If they already have 3 aps running on their machine under the same
usercode, they still have to enter their usercode and password. Given the
environment our users work in, this is somewhat redundant, since they will
invariably be logging in under the same usercode, and therefore the same
    password, every time.
Basically, I want a user to login as usual (manually) when they have no
    apps running.
Then, while they have any apps running, I want them to be able to start
    any
other app they have rights to without having to type their details in
again. I still want the same security as if they were logging in manually,
I just want the login details for the new app to be retrieved from the
    open
app (same usercode) and the login done behind the scenes, so to speak.
If at any time they try to open an app and they don't already have one
running, they get the usual login screen.
So far, my idea is to have a SO on the client as a separate task and
    manage
it using a systemAgent. The SO would hold the usercode, and what apps the
user is running. This would be polled to get the relevant usercode for
login to happen invisibly to the user. When a new app is started, it is
added to the list, when it's killed, it gets removed, etc. Once the last
one is removed, kill the SO task.
Does Forte have a more direct way to do this?
Surely someone has done this already?
    Does this approach work?
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.
    Craig.

  • Novell Auto Login

I am trying to pass the Novell login using nwsess.ocx from the service passing parameters for auto complete and do not show login screen. This will work with Novell client 4.x on 32 bit systems but not with the new Netware client for 2008 server R2 64 bit. The netware login screen will pop up but will wait for the OK button to be pressed before continuing. I am not using smart card or passing windows credentials but simply trying to auto login.
When I run the same code on Windows 2003 32bit it will work as the login will pass in the background.
Any body know the work around if there is one or a better method?

We removed Novell and set Zenworks to login automatically with some registry alterations, the problem is that with roaming profiles the user is logged into windows automatically too. This seems to be because the Zenworks login happens before windows login. Uninstalling zenworks, logging in and then reinstalling helps, but it sometimes has to be done more than once.
Anyone got a smart way of changing the order of Zenworks and Windows logins, so we don't need to uninstall x number of times on all our PC's.

  • Deploy an auto-login user on 10.9.5

I am trying to create an auto-login user on our network of 10.9.5 machines, but the com.apple.loginwindow.plist reverts itself after any change I make (I have tried changing it in terminal and editing it manually). I understand that starting with Mavericks that plist files are now cached, and I believe that this has something to do with it. Has anyone been able to implement auto-login network wide on 10.9.5?

    Quit System Preferences.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the System Preferences and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
Thanks to leonie for some information contained in this.

  • View Planner 3.5 Auto Login

I am having an issue where I have the GoldenDesktop Setup.  It logs in without issue.  This VM was created with the same customization file as the next set.   Once I use the View Planner to provision the remaining VMs, each have their local admin account disabled.   They do report to the View Planner.  They do start the workload.  However, only the original VM uploads the data.  Any ideas?

Yes, agree.   The auto login was working after the view agent was loaded.  However, once the customization wizard ran, I noticed a few changes.  The admin was disabled and the registry entries were missing under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogin.  The keys needed to login were AutoAdminLogon = "1" (Enabled), DefaultUserName = Administrator DefaultPassword = Q1w2e3r4! .   This was present before the customization wizard.  So, I looked at the customization wizard closer.  On the 4th step for "Administrator Password" you need to set the password toe Q1w2e3r4!.  Furthermore, place a check mark for "Automatically log on as the Administrator".  I also set this value to 10.   After doing this, the login portion worked.
The second issue I had was the .bat file behavior.   It needed to be set to "open this file each time".  Since there were only 50 desktops, I check the box on each and pressed open.  I'm sure there is a setting to fix this.  However, I haven't researched it enough to comment just yet.

  • Auto logins on websites no longer working

I recently (a couple days ago) got a pop-up on the lower part of my screen that said that firefox was going kind of slowly or something along those lines and said if I would like to fix this that I could click this button. Well I did that and it took me to a page that talked about resetting firefox to its default settings but that all info pretty much would be kept correct like my passwords, bookmarks, addons, and other things like that. Well I said what the heck and tried it and when it was finally done doing what ever it was doing I get back online with none of my opening tabs aloud to be there so that was wiped out, my book marks were there so that was good, but all of my addons like X-notifier and things like that were now gone, and when I go to pages now it has no idea who I am. My user names don't show up or the passwords. I can login to them and it might be fine for 5-10 minutes but then all of a sudden it tells me that I need to login all over again. Even my X-notifier does it and its supposed to know my login permanently so I never have to type it in. But I can be in the middle of sorting my emails and trying to delete something get a message that says I am no longer signed in to my email account.
I have searched all over in the tools>options area and made sure everything is the same as it used to be with saving passwords and even scrolled through my stuff saved to see if something had gotten deleted but they are all there and I see no reason why it would not log me in to the ANY site. I know some of the sites out there don't like to allow auto login stuff which I am fine with but some of these websites I am the owner of and I know for a fact that its not my site doing it. The repeated login issue is really getting on my nerves cause its started to disturb my daily working. Please help me with figuring this out.
    Thanks
    Troy

I am going to try the stuff mentioned by you above and see if it helps. I know its affecting this site as well and isn't keeping logged in at all as I have had to re-type my password each time I come here.

  • Problems joining Wi-Fi networks that require viewing a redirect page in iOS 8.1.1? Check your "Auto-Login" setting.

Are you having problems joining previously used Wi-Fi networks that require you to view a login or redirect page (say to accept Terms of Use) first?  The problem could be your Auto-Login Wi-Fi network setting.
I found numerous cases where I could not access in-store Wi-Fi networks (Nordstrom was one), hotel networks or in fact networks where you had to first view a Terms and Conditions page or where you had to login via a web form.
These were all networks I had used before.
This appears to be due to the "Auto-Login" setting assuming that once you (re)join a previously known network you can just go ahead and use it without further action. When the iOS device receives an error trying to use the network, it silently drops the Wi-Fi association.
If this is happening to you, follow these steps:
    1) Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi
    2) Select the network you want to join
    3) When a check-mark appears next to the SSID, press the "i" button on the right hand side
    4) Set Auto-Join however you want, but shut off the Auto-Login switch
    5) Now attempt to use the network and you should be presented with the usual redirect page with terms you must accept or where you must login to use the Wi-Fi network in question
This cleared up the issue for me everywhere I had previously been having issues.

Just let me get one thing straight...you don't change don't do this for the PC you have your router plugged in to?
    "For Vista:
    1. Open Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center, Manage Network Connections
    2. If Wireless, Right click on your Wireless Network Connection, otherwise, Right click on Local Area Connection and click Properties
    3. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)
    4. Click Properties
    5. Tick Use the Following IP Address and enter the IP you want to use for that PC. I would start at 192.168.0.100(D-Link) and work your way up on each additional device. The second device would be 192.168.0.101, the 3rd, 192.168.0.102 and so on. Like I said, different brands of routers use different IP's, so it could be 192.168.1.100 and so on, so you will need to know the IP address of your router first.
    6. Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 on all pc's and devices
    7. Default Gateway is 192.168.0.1(D-Link) or whatever your router's IP is on all pc's and devices
    8. Tick Use the Following DNS Server Address and enter 192.168.0.1(D-Link) or whatever your router's IP is and click OK.
    9. You will need to do this on all Vista Pc's"

Is there a way to auto login into AUR with Firefox. Now when I get there, the username and password is filled in. But I would like to be logged in. I think Opera does it.
    Possible?

It should work, I've updated my FF last week and had no problem so far. Actually I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.8 to post this message. I have noscript extension as well.
All you need to do is enable cookies for forms.oracle.com/ and set it as whitelisted if you have any security extensions.
