Auto logins on websites no longer working

I recently (a couple days ago) got a pop-up on the lower part of my screen that said that firefox was going kind of slowly or something along those lines and said if I would like to fix this that I could click this button. Well I did that and it took me to a page that talked about resetting firefox to its default settings but that all info pretty much would be kept correct like my passwords, bookmarks, addons, and other things like that. Well I said what the heck and tried it and when it was finally done doing what ever it was doing I get back online with none of my opening tabs aloud to be there so that was wiped out, my book marks were there so that was good, but all of my addons like X-notifier and things like that were now gone, and when I go to pages now it has no idea who I am. My user names don't show up or the passwords. I can login to them and it might be fine for 5-10 minutes but then all of a sudden it tells me that I need to login all over again. Even my X-notifier does it and its supposed to know my login permanently so I never have to type it in. But I can be in the middle of sorting my emails and trying to delete something get a message that says I am no longer signed in to my email account.
I have searched all over in the tools>options area and made sure everything is the same as it used to be with saving passwords and even scrolled through my stuff saved to see if something had gotten deleted but they are all there and I see no reason why it would not log me in to the ANY site. I know some of the sites out there don't like to allow auto login stuff which I am fine with but some of these websites I am the owner of and I know for a fact that its not my site doing it. The repeated login issue is really getting on my nerves cause its started to disturb my daily working. Please help me with figuring this out.

I am going to try the stuff mentioned by you above and see if it helps. I know its affecting this site as well and isn't keeping logged in at all as I have had to re-type my password each time I come here.

The visitor counter on my website no longer works on Firefox but still works in ME. How do I fix it?

I have a free visitor counter (by easycounter.com) on my website. It has been working fine in both Firefox (3.6.16) and MS Internet Explorer.
Yesterday, I noticed it no longer works with Firefox but still fine with MS IE.
Earlier in the week I did download a few add-ons recommended by Firefox.
Can anyone advise what the problem might be and how to fix it? The code for the counter is still intact on my page at www.qsl.net/ve3bdb.

Which extensions did you install?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Auto interconnect in tiger no longer works on startup

My auto connect to the internet on startup no longer works in Tiger. I get a can't connect to ppp server error message. I can manually connect with the open internet command. I tried password reset and re set auto connect in the network settings but it still will not automatically connect. Anyone have any idea as to why?

In Network Pref Pane>Locations... Duplicate your present Location, or make a new one with the needed info, try using that Location.

"Auto Quit" printing option no longer works

I have a printer set up (Brother MFC 7820N), and I've selected Auto Quit so that the queue closes when a document is done printing. This used to work, but now it seems not to... I'm not sure if this started with 10.5.2 or what, but does anyone have a fix?

I see nothing appropriate in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter, but in /Library/Logs/CrashReporter I found three crash logs for PrintJobMgr. However, these are all several days old, and do not seem related to the more-than-daily crash of the Printer Proxy. (In fact, earlier this morning, I tried to Shutdown my system to install the Firmware update (after printing the instructions) and got a message that Shutdown was canceled because Printer Proxy refused to quit.

10.4.6 - PHP Websites No Longer Working

After upgrading my G4 Mini from 10.4.5, I can no longer hit any PHP web pages. Any browser I use gives a warning that the PHP page is an application and wants to download the file rather than script it.
I used software update and the machine did not restart twice, but I've rebooted it several times since, and also run permissions repair.
Help, anyone?

You might want to see if the problem is with the webpage design of the page in question. Do you get the same results when visiting

If you do, it sounds like corruption in your web browser preferences. What browsers have you tried?

Some videos and other websites no longer work in Firefox but still OK in internet explorer

In Firefox, when I click on some YouTube videos, I get an errot message. The same link works fine in internet explorer.
The NY times Kenken puzzle page, http://www.nytimes.com/ref/crosswords/kenken.html?8qa&_r=0
no longer comes up properly, none of the puzzle links appear on screen. that website is fine in Internet Explorer.
A week ago, both worked fine.

My website no longer works in Safari

Recently, my website stopped working correctly in Safari (http://www.LauraZarrin.com). It still works fine in Firefox. It's not just on my computer, either. I reloaded the pages, even reworked or recreated & relinked them. Still no luck. I am at a loss! I have no idea what to do. I may have to temporarily use a WordPress site. This is hurting my business! Please help.

I've looked at them side by side in Safari and FireFox and as far as I can see they are identical.

PDF Link on website no longer working

I have a link on my website that opens a PDF file. On a few computers the link will not open or it will open and then freeze. Or my favorite "the file is damaged and can not be repaired." Where do I start looking for a solution? I am using CS4 and IE 8 and I can open the file in adobe reader.

You should always right-click on the link and then save the file (Save Target As) on your desktop so that you can then open it any time at your leisure. The link works fine at my end. See this picture to get the idea (4th item in the list):

Login action buttons no longer work and some pages not displaying correctly after upgrade.

After recent update, some web pages not displaying correctly and Login buttons on some sites do not work. I've updated my plugins and restarted computer, but problems remains. Is this Java, Javascript or something else? Same pages are working fine in IE.

One website no longer works correctly. O'k with IE. Recent updates to FF18, Flash 11.5.502.146 & Win 7 (64 bit)

www.dallastown.net school web site no longer loading images/info correctly. Works ok with IE.
Can maneuver around some by right clicking and opening in new tab. "Select a School" drop down is a specific problem area. Some times numerous clicks of the mouse will open the page properly. Still run in to problems with no response from a click or missing info.
A number of updates occurred recently, not sure where problem is. I currently have Java disabled, but tried with it enabled and no help. Uninstalled & reinstalled FireFox (18), no help. Thinking maybe a problem with FF 18 and Adobe Flash, but not sure what to do.
I appreciate any help you may offer.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Digital pass from website no longer working on app

Hi I have purchased a nrl pass subs through the website. Ive logged in the app And it's been working until last week. It says now I don't have an active subs. Has something changed? I can still log on website but not the all.

I've got the exact same problem. I definitely have an active subscription via the website but the app on my Android tablet won't recognise it. This is EXTREMELY frustrating as I only watch ONE game a week (Tigers). Having the problem fixed after the game isn't satisfactory. This has happened at least 3 times in the last six months. May not sound like much but when you're paying $3/wekk for ONE game & you can't watch it....well, you could understand. Already missed 20 minutes of the game trying to get the video to work....on both the app AND the web-site. The live stream on the website won't load, only the replays.

Changed Lion Login Background Image No Longer Works

Following instructions posted in various communities, I was able to substitute my own image for the dull gray Lion login background image (replacing the file NSTexturedFullScreenBackgroundColor.png). But since upgrading to OS X 10.7.4 the other day, the login image has reverted back to the standard Lion image, even though my substituted file is still in the folder /System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/Resources.
Anybody figure out a fix?

Moviephone website no longer working properly.

Use moviephone a lot o Firefox. Just this past week, when I get into website, it does not function at all. Various pop ups scroll through the screen. Tried uninstalling & adding latest version, still no solution.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

Sharepoint 3.0 website no longer working after Windows updates installed

We have an Intranet site that was set up in SharePoint 3.0. Over the weekend windows updates were installed, specifically KB2687442. Now my Intranet site does not work. When I try and run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard it
fails at step 9 with the following error : Failed to upgrade SharePoint Products and Technologies An exception of type System.InvalidOperationException was thrown. Additional exception information: Cannot start service SPAdmin on computer '.'. When I try and
start the Windows SharePoint services administration service manually it fails to start. When I look in the windows event log there are errors in the application log about SQL exceptions

Hopefully this gets moved to the right forum - it doesn't belong here.
I've had a few customers run into this issue as well after running Windows Update. Reboot the server (admin service should start), and then try the following command:
psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait
