Auto pop-up for wispr in any captive portal won't work anymore

Hi all,
I really like the captive portal function. I am often at Starbucks, and I like the easy way to accept the user agreement.
But, since some weeks, the auto pop-up to see the captive portal won't show ... neither Starbucks nor somewhere else!
At Starbucks ....
1. I tried to delete the btopenzone WiFi (the provider for Starbucks free WiFi) but nothing changed.
2. I tried to set up another networking zone, won't help either.
3. I searched the web, but all I could see is, that there is not really a way to disable it (but changing the website in plist somewhere)....
4. I tried to find a way to just disable or enable it... but was not lucky
Hope anyone can help me, cause I really like the feature.

So, it sounds like push notifications are working intermittently. Take a look at the article linked below, not only does it give insight into how notifications work, it also provides some troubleshooting tips that should help.

Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

Boot off your *original* Install Disk while holding down the *d key*, (not c key), then run the extended Apple Hardware Test. Some disks require you to use the Option key at bootup to select AHT. Some models have a separate AHT CD. Some have it on the Disc #2.
The Memory test can really only be trusted if it finds a problem, not if it doesn't find a problem.

My multi gesture for scrolling back to my library won't work in Lion

When I updated to Lion the multi touch gesture to scroll back to the previous selection won't work anymore. Any help or did apple just not fix this yet?

As it has been almost a week since I last posted here I am forced to conclude there is no solution to the problem I have posed.

RoboHelp for Word installed from RoboHelp 10 won't work with Word 2010

I have a Help project created in RoboHelp for Word 8. I recently upgraded from Word 2007 to Word 2010 and discovered that RH8 for Word won't work with Word 2010. So I purchased RoboHelp 10 and have installed RoboHelp for Word from it. Alas, RH for Word STILL won't work with Word 2010. When I try to open my project, I get this message:
Before I bought RH10, I live-chatted with an Adobe sales person who assured me it was compatible with Word 2010.
BTW, I tried to roll back to Word 2007, but I was getting weird behavior running Word, so I have reinstalled Word 2010 and want to stay there.
Any ideas?

I have just installed Rh10 for Word on a new machine and initially I got this message.
I wonder if you have followed those instuctions? I changed the setting to Enable All.
The other possibility is what do you have set for the default version? If it is 2007 and that no longer exists on your machine, then Rh will not be able to proceed. The dropdown should show 2010

IE11 - Captive Portal Pages Not Working

Recently, I have had several complaints from Windows 7 users that are trying to connect to hotspots at the airports and hotels and they are getting page cannot be displayed error in IE11. They are actually getting two, one is the standard error check connections and whatnot and the other says Turn on TLS1.0, TLS1.1 and TLS1.2 in the Advanced settings and try connecting to https://www.google.com again.I checked the settings and all TLS versions. I do have a GPO that is disabling SSL 3.0 and in the Advanced settings menu, it displays "Some settings are managed by your system administrator." The word settings is a link and when I click it, the captive portal page actually loads and allows me to accept the terms and conditions and access the internet.Anyone else see this?

I have had my TP since July and have connected to the internet via wifi at airports, hotels, coffee shops ect. You should not be waiting for HP to fix the OS. You need to decide if the problem is you or your TP. If it is your TP then get it fixed.

The Apple rep tried both those ideas and both failed. The rep was connected to my computer so she
could see my screen and show me exactly what to do. My iPhone (not ipad) never has synced photos to my computer,
I have to use explorer to copy and paste or cut and paste them to my PC . It is the syncing back to my iPhone of only the much smaller selected photos that used to sync in itunes but now the itunes sync button cannot be clicked to make that happen. And the reason I only sync back selected photos is that my total PC pictures file is about 40 Gb. Also I find it a lot more useful to have a small number of folders ( no sub-folders of course) so I can quickly locate on my iPhone pictures from different categories such as family, autos, etc. None of this posed any problems for over a year until just recently. I am reading on other threads of many people with other iTunes syncing problems, and wonder now if it is the latest iTunes updates that are causing the problems? While I have tried removing and reinstalling iTunes on my PC, I don't know how or if you can, install a previous version?

Any ideas why my HDMI cable won't work anymore?

I have a 2011 MBP and a Belkin HDMI cable. I've used the cable to connect to HDTVs and a VVME brand projector. When I connected the cable into my MBP it would always just work. Now, for a brief period my laptop screen goes blue like normal, but nothing appears from my computer to the projection screen, and then my laptop screen goes back to normal. So although the HDMI cable is connected from the projector to my MBP, nothing happens anymore. There isn't a galaxy screen or anything, the screen just says 'No Signal'. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.
...me too. I'm in Portugal having the same issue!! Hopefuly Apple will give us a solution, shortly...
