Auto post account clearing

Friends
We have GRIR accounts which are auto post only, and are cleared via MR11 process. now for some business reason 2 years back, there were some migration entries posted manually via FBB1 (Which by passed the AUTO POST ONLY logic) and posted to GRIR account.
now after 2 years we are trying to clear all these FBB1 entries against corresponding offsetting entries and not able to do it, since via t-code F-03, it gives us an error that "GRIR clearing account cannot be manually Cleared", which is correct, that for GRIR clearing we need to use MR11 process. so we tried to clear it via MR11, it doesnot allow since we dont have any Purchasing document and other doc coming from purchasing, since the entries that we are trying to clear were manually posted via FBB1.
Now we are stuck with open items in GRIR account which can not be cleared via MR11 and also by F-03, what are my choices to clear this entry?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
Please do the configuration for automatic clearng in OB74.
Howvever we can clear only when assignment has PO number and item .
We can get PO number and item only when we give Sort key in GL master as 014 (Purchase Order).
Hope, your issue gets resolved else revert.

  • Manual account clear but can see line item after post document

    Hi Guru!
I have post account clear with transaction code F-03  with open item zero balance such as
    account 214001 balance +500
    account 214001 balance -500
when I simulate entry the system not show line item for post document but can post it . I want to know why ?
    thank you very much .

    Dear,
This is standard behaviour...if line item which you are clearing have zero balance then system will not show any line items since open itemss are cleared....
when you have tolerance difference or the residual posting then only system will show the line item....

  • IHC Incoming payment - no posting on clearing account

    Hello together,
I need some help with the processing of an external bank statement. I try to read an incoming payment from an external bank statement (MT940). When I post the bank statemenat with FEBAN I get two documents: one for general ledger and one for IHC. IHC posts only on one account (subsidiary) but the posting on clearing account is missing. I also don't find a payment order in IHC0. I've checked table BKKIT but there is really just one posting for each incoming payment. I've activated IHC partner (transactions BF12, BF22,BF 23), customized the BTEs 2810 (BKK_IHB_BASTA_IN_CHECK, IHC_APPL_XBS_POST) in BF 32 and I've entered an FI account for IHC in "Set Up Account Determination for Incoming Payment". Do you have any idea why it doesn't work?
I'm looking forward to your replies!
    Best regards
    Sabine

    Hi Kalyan,
thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I'm still not sure if the whole posting process ist clear to me. I especially don't understand the IHC postings.
Let's make an example. Like you have suggested we have two companies: Company 1000 is the head quarter and IHC is assigned to it. Company 1000 acts as clearing partner for IHC, too. Company 2000 is a subsidary of 1000 and has an internal bank account at in-house bank.
Let's assume that the whole group makes some kind of external cash pooling. Subsidary 2000 transfers 100,- to the external bank account of head quarter 1000. Company 1000 gets an external bank statement including this transfer.
Step 1: First the external bank statement is being processed with FF.5 and FEBAN. Here are the resulting postings:
    GL
       Bank Comp. 1000                     Clearing Bank
       100    ¦                                  ¦  100
    IHC
IHC Account Comp. 2000                  Clearing IHC
        100     ¦                               ¦  100
Step 2: At the end of day the general ledger transfer is executed with transaction F9HI. There are only postings in GL resulting from this transaction (highlighted with >> <<).:
Bank Comp. 1000                   Bank Clearing                 IHC Clearing
       100    ¦                         >>100<<  ¦  100                     ¦ >>100<<
Additionally there are some postings in the local systems of subsidiary 2000 and of the clearing partner (processing of internal bank statements provided by in-house bank).
Everything works fine except of the posting on account Clearing IHC (see step 1). Obviously IHC allows partial bookings. Is there any possibility to enforce a posting on the IHC clearing account?
Hope you can bring some light in the dark of spro.
    Best regards
    Sabine

  • Recon vs. Auto posting

How can I ascertain whether accounts are either a "Reconciliation Account" or "Automatic posting Only" accounts?

    Hi,
You need to check in Master if your Q is to know how?
If you Q is know What is recon and what auto posting, all transaction wherein you want a higher level balance cumulative of all the subledgers, you go for a recon account like vendor, customer etc.,
When you want postings to be happening automatically to a particular GL without posting into the accoutn directly like the tax accounts, Petty cash books, Main bank accounts etc., we go for auto posting only.
    Hope its clear..

  • Unable to clear open items through post with Clearing F-04

    Hi Experts,
I want to clear one GL code through transaction F- 04 Post with Clearing.
When I clear the open items throgh f-04, (Document types UA , KR , MJ ) it posts the document but again it makes a new line item as a open item with same amount.New line item shows in a list as a open item. ( I tryed F-03 as well)
I am unable to unable to understand the exact functionality of transacion F-04.
Can anyone explain me please ? Please advice if I am missing anthing on this.
    Thanks,
    Manasi

    Hi Manasi,
As the name suggest, F-04 allows you to POST to one account by CLEARING another account.
For example you have a provision account which needs to be adjusted when the actual expense is paid -  this how it will be done -
Give the document header details, select "Transfer posting with clearing", enter the posting key (40), give the GL account (expense account as per the example) and go to the next screen.
Give the amount and other details for the line items and then select "choose open item" from the menu. The new screen will ask you to give an account where you will give the provision account (the account from which the open item needs to be cleared).
Press enter and you will get the list of open items for the GL account from where you can proceed like any other clearing.
Hope this clarifies. Do revert in case of any further queries.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • On Account Clearing Vendor/Customer

    Dear fellows
We are to be implementing SAP ERP ECC 6 by u201CABACUS Consulting (Implementer)u201D here we enable the new GL functionality for segment reporting.  We have a hot issue with on account clearing in both customer and vendor.
    The scenario is that
When we clear on account customer through f-32 and vendor through f-44 the system generates extra line items those increase the debit and credit amount with their respective ledgers.
    *Example*
Create customer invoice e.g 50,000 Rs. with profit center 10, segment 1000
Receipt on account payment from customer 50,000 Rs. with profit center 10, segment 1000
Clear the account with f.32 at that time clearing line items are generating.
    Note:
According to our implementers u201CAbacusu201D this is the standard functionality of SAP and referred the SAP standard Note 69767 to prove their justifications.
The transaction is not relevant with given below difference clearing:
    1.     Account Type
    2.     open Item Account Number
    3.     General Ledger Account
    4.     GL Account Number
    5.     Main Asset Number
    6.     Company Code
    7.     business Area
    8.     business place
    9.     Profit Center
    10.     Partner Profit Center
    11.     Credit Control Area
    12.     Company ID
    13.     Update Currency for General Ledger Transaction Figure
    14.     Withholding Tax Code
    15.     Certificate Number of the Withholding Tax Exemption
    16.     Payee code
    17.     Document Number for Earmarked Fund
    18.     Earmarked Funds: Document Item

    hello srikanth
    thanks for showing ur intrepid.
    invoice entries (fb60)
    Vendor(10013)               10,000
    Exp(41709006)          10,000
    payment entries (fbcj)
    vendor(10013)          10,000
    Cash (16620006)               10,000
    clearing entries
    Vendor(10013)          10,000
    vendor(10013)               10,000
the clearing document increase the DR and Cr amounts.
here, i want to clear one thing, this is not the SAP standard functionality because i have test this scenario on my IDES system and it is not generating any extra line items.
SAP released the notes 69767 to justify the clearing line items and the system exactly work according to the notes, but in our case any of the given options (mentioned in Notes and my above post) be not matched causes to generate any extra line items.

  • Post with clearing : process open items

    hi,
i do post and clearing FB05.
i select incoming payment for transaction to be processed in the selection screen.
    Q1
in the first line items, i put PK 40 for bank account and the next screen i put the amount, say 100 and hit process open items button.
i choose the customer account and hit process open items button.
in the standard tab, it shows list of document and also the amount entered (amount to be cleared) 100.
    now my question comes :
as i debit bank 100 (pk 40), it should credit cust 100- (pk 15), right?
amount entered field is showing 100 then assigned field should be 100- to make it 0 in not assigned field, right?
but in this case, i need to select positive 100 and not negative 100 in the cust account document list.
this is what i confused. as in f-03 or f-32, i remember if amount entered field is positive then i need to choose negative amount so that in not assigned field is 0.
    Q2
why in first line item, if i put PK 15, i not able to process open items anymore. for example if i enter 100 and click process open items, when i put in PK 50 the same amount on the next item line, i not able to simulate correctly as with unassigned figure.
    can explain?
    thanks

    Hi
When you select "process open items", the system lists the Open items of customer. You are supposed to select an open item to be cleared with the amount received from the customer. When you sell a product, Customer is debited and hence it is positive only.....
    I hope it is clear

  • Post with clearing

    Hi Experts,
I'm using t-code F-04 to clear open items.  I entered a GL account and Account type S in the parameter but I cannot proceed due to the error 'There are no open items managed in account 171200'
But if you check FBL3n there are lots of open items for this account.
Kindly advise what may have caused the error and how can we clear the open items.
    Thank you in advance.
    Ellicec

    Hi
Accounts that are not managed on an open item basis is for example : Reconciliation accounts.
If you want clear the line items  while creating the GL you have to put the tick open item management and line item display.
In this scenario You are saying GL account clearing selected account type 'S" but you are mentioning here put a Reconciliation account and used for some customers.
Reconciliation account balances are automatic postings through customers/vendor transactions it will post.  Clearing also through customer/vendor clearing only it will do the posting transactions.

  • F-30: posting with clearing a document with special G/L indicator and tax

    Hi All,
by t.code F-02 I've posted a document with the follow items:
    PK     SG      Account Description
    40                Bank G/L Account   u20AC 1200,00
    19      A       Customer code         u20AC 1000,00-  (1000,00 amount and 200,00 tax amount)
    50                Tax G/L Account     u20AC  200,00-
If I launch the t.code F-30 (post with clearing), choose that customer and select the special G/L indicator "A", SAP displays
the document I've posted with an amount equal to 1.200,00- instead of 1000,00.
This does't allow me to clear the open Item....
    Could anyone hel me?
    Thanks
    Gandalf

    Hi
A   payment  recorded  with   special GL indicator  is automatically set  as  locked.  This is  sap  program and cant be changed.  When  the  related invoice is  recorded ,  the   down payment  can  be cleared  with it  using  F-39, provided  the down payment relates to the same  sales / purchase order.
For  the  difference in customer  amount,  its  difficult  to answer as    it may be due to  wrong account selection or  wrong amount entered in customer.

  • Message NA AU133 Account Clear rev sale to affil comp could not be found

I am trying to transfer assets from one company to another  (Transaction ABT1N).
The above message tells me to "Enter this account in the account determination for Asset Accounting".
I cannot find this in the IMG. Can anyone advise please
    Thanks

Hi, I have tried to assign a P&L acount to "account Clear revenue sale to affil. company" but the system gives me the following errors against existing field "clearing acct revenue from asset sale"!  (which currently is a balance sheet account) and has worked successfully for years!
Error AC305 "Account xxxxx not allowed to be a balance sheet account" and Error AC306 "Account xxxxx not defined as a P&L account".
I have looked at other posts and it appear this is only a problem since 4.6. One post on the forum suggests a work around by changing the message status in OBA5 by setting WW against each message number. These settings already exist as Online "W" and Batchl "W".
Have you any ideas how I can get around this problem?

  • Post with clearing: FB05  No open items were found

    Hi,
I am using FB05 (have selected 'transfer posting with clearing) to clear the vendor open items and post to a GL account, but I encounter the message 'No open items were found' (Msg F5 170) eventhough the vendor has open  items and morever it is not blocked.
    Any reason why this error.
    Tks,
    SS

There can be any number of reasons why a standard transaction does not pick up open items for your vendor account. Some possible reasons are:
    - outside date range, if you are giving a date range
    - they might be special g/l transactions, not normal line items
    - they migh not be open line items, but noted items
    - the items might not be open anymore when FB05 is being run
Do a little more investigation into your system - we can only give suggestions from here.

  • Incoming payments posting without clearing the customer open item

    Hi,
Is there a way to post an incoming payment to a customer and let it sit as an open item?
I want to segregate the posting and clearing of AR payments.
One user posts the payments to the customer account.
Another user clears this payment against an open item.
All t.codes F-26, f-52 and f-28 all go on to processing open items and don't work for me..
Does anyone have any workaround or suggestion on how to accomplish this?
    Thanks

I can suggest posting the cash to the customers account as an unallocated enty using F-28 - we use charge of the difference and the posting keys to mange this.
The the other users can contra the items to the open items using F-32 clear customer.

  • Post with Clearing: BAPI for clearing open items

    Hi,
I'm looking for a way to use the logic of transaction F-30 (Post with Clearing) in an external application. I want to clear open items. Is there a BAPI or something else for it? While debugging transaction F-30 I found the function module POST_DOCUMENT together with function module FI_DOCUMENT_PROCESS which are used to actually clear the selected open items. But there is lot more coding around these function modules that might be needed/important. So, is there a BAPI that puts all together? Or what's the best way to do it at all?
