Auto-reboot after 'installing' apps/upgrades to find after reboot app/upgrade HASN'T been installed..

Received my blackberry curve 9360 back from repair today, and due to the nature of the fault with my phone I was sent another device. Everything started up and was working fine, setup worked great and I upgraded to 7.1 and it was all fine. Then I went onto App World and downloaded the latest version which worked. However when I came to trying to download some apps and upgrades for instance the latest blackberry messenger upgrade, the installation would progress until it was complete and upon the installation bar reaching the end my device would reboot. After the reboot I find that the upgrade hasn't been performed and that it was never installed.. This keeps happening over and over again.. How can i fix this? it's incredibly frustrating as I can't upgrade or install any applications!
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hey ChrisWatkins93,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
How much free memory is on the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone?  Go to Options>Status to find this information.
To determine if this a operating system issue, I suggest following all the steps in this KB article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320
Then test out BlackBerry App World™ afterwards to see if the issue is resolved.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers.

  • How can I Request a new App. that hasn't been made yet?

I'm in a car club with many car enthusiasts that use there iPads, iPhones, and iPods on their cars. This is done by using a car programmer that can link with Apple devices by Bluetooth. These programmers  are designed to unlock your vehicles hidden performance potential by wirelessly re-calibrating your vehicle's computer for maximum horsepower and torque, increased throttle response, firmer shifts and even increased fuel mileage. They are the first and only made for iPod, iPhone or iPad vehicle tuner and OBDII monitoring product on the market. The programmers include a wireless interface that plugs directly into your vehicles OBDII diagnostic connector and communicates with your Apple device via a secure Bluetooth wireless connection. By optimizing your vehicle's fuel and spark curves, they will make your vehicle run more efficiently, increasing MPG, and performance you can feel in the driver seat! Features include:  On screen virtual gauges with adjustable warning/alert lights., Monitor vehicle engine data/parameters via virtual gauges., User selectable gauge themes and gauge layouts., Monitor multiple engine parameters in real time., Diagnose your vehicle's DTC codes ., 0-60 MPH test., 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile test., Top speed test., Braking test.
These car enthusiasts have very rear cars, expensive cars, or both and don't want to mount or hold the Apple devices while driving at high speeds but at the same want to see the information on the Apple devices. Most of these enthusiasts and I set the devices on the dashes of our cars. This is when I noticed the reflection on the windshield. There are car brand that offer an option that has been know as H.U.D. ( Heads Up Display ).
I was wondering if there is or if it was possible to make an App. that could mirror the display on the Apple devices? So when the display reflects off the windshield it will not be backwards. This will be a much safer way for the driver to be more aware of every thing going on around him/her while driving. This will optimize the drivers alertness and minimize the times the drive would look away from the road to see his/her gauges.
    Products used together:
    Mac mini
    iPad 3
    iPhone 4s
    SCT Performance iTSX Wireless Tuner
2007 Ford Mustang GT 800hp+ ( With twin turbo and many more up grades)

If you find a somewhat similar app, go to the developer's web page and send your request.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Most useful app that hasn't been invented

i need a mac app that i can just open, type some text in it, close it, and that text is saved. maybe a button to close and save without a file name and a button to close and not save at all. that'd be the most simple and useful app on os x for me

    TextEdit.  Open, type, quit.

  • Can any tag in app.xml control no-auto-startup after completing install?

InstallFolder in app.xml can work. And can any tag  in app.xml controls no-auto-startup after completing install?

No, there isn't any tag to control no-auto-startup.
you will have to Uncheck the option "start application after installation" in the installation dilaog itself.

  • Solaris 8 in ultra 2 got panic and auto reboot when install Oracle software

    Dear all,
I installed Solaris 8 by selecting 'Entire Solaris Software Group' and select 32 bit support only in an old ultra II machine. Then I tried to install Oracle 8.1.7 in the same machine but machine always got panic and started auto reboot when Oracle installed about 17% or 20% or even 70% (I tried install the minimum of Oracle).
What is the problem? Anyone can help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vicky

I think you need to check the parameters like SHMMAX etc in /etc/system file as recommanded by oracle if not already added you need to add them .Oracle manuals have a list of these parameters and don't forget to reboot and boot with boot -r after adding these parameters.
Make sure you have sufficient memory or some patch recommanded by Oracle .

Is there any app for phone auto start after swithced off??

Are you looking for an app which will startup the Z10 at a specified time?
I don't know of one. I have a feeling once OS 10.2 is available you'll see apps such as this.

  • IOS 8.02 update cause iPad Air to auto reboot while playing games and always 'No Sim installed' appears

I have updated my iPad 3 and iPad air to the latest update iOS 8.02 sinice a week ago. The iPad 3 is okay while the ipad air is having problems. Firstly it randomly auto reboots and apps auto shuts as well. Secondly the 'No Sim installed' always appears while using the iPad. Anyone having the same problem please advise how to solve these problems. Thanks.

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know.  If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.
    Also, according to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

  • Reader 11.0.0.3 auto closes after an install

    I downloaded Reader 11.0.0.3
When I open it prompts me to accept the license
The license window stays up bu the application closes within a second.
Opening any pdf file post that point allows the application to open... then auto closes after 1 sec
I have installed with Chrome, without Chrome
    I have rebooted between installs
Google search led me to Eula.exe - which is the accept license
    That has no affect
I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a Lenovo laptop

Two more things things to try...
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

Upgraded to Lion. Numbers is stalling to auto save after every keystroke. Isn’t auto save supposed to run in the background?

It's supposed to save when the processor isn't triggered by the user. If you type slowly, time between two strokes may be sufficient to allow it to start the save process.

The app randomly auto-exits after I refresh (via drag down and release) the Upcoming Trips page.
In my usage scenario, after I drag down and release, the app displays "loading..." and then it either redisplays the Upcoming Trips page or it closes the page.

    Hello eywong,
Thank you for your question regarding the issue you are experiencing with BlackBerry Travel. Have you attempted reinstalling the application? Are you running the latest version of device software available from your mobile service provider?

  • TS3274 iPad 2 Auto-rebooting continuously after OS update to iOS 7

My iPad 2 is auto-rebooting continuously after OS update to iOS 7 . After every reboot , it is waking up for around 20 seconds and then rebooting again with apple logo coming on the black screen . I tried switch-off/on but the problem is still there . Please tell what to do .
PS : The iOS update was completed successfully . The General>Software-Updates shows "up to date iOS 7" .

I somehow managed to restore the ipad within 20 seconds time . I erased all settings and data by General>Reset>Erase-All-Settings-And-Data (simply reset settings did not work) . Make sure you have backup of your data (on iCloud or iTunes) before doing the previous step . Thank god , now it is working fine . *** Apple !!

  • My iPhone 6 will not auto rotate after installation of version 8.0.2. The auto rotate lock is off in settings and in the Kindle app, but nothing will go to landscape.

Since the installation of 8.0.2 my iPhone 6 will not auto rotate in any app. I have locked/unlocked the feature in settings several times using the command bar but to no avail. I read using the Kindle app and it also is locked in portrait whether the lock is on or off.

    Edselbe wrote:
Your auto lock got turned on. Swipe up on the screen and tap the upper right icon. This will allow it to work again!
Actually, the OP tried that (six months ago) and it didn't work. They resolved the issue (six months ago) by updating their system software (six months ago).

I have a fresh install of Mavericks OS X.
