Auto Refresh work items in POWL iview

Hi Experts,
We are using EP 7.3 and ECC 6.0 EHP 5. MSS add-on 1.0
We are using MSS Inbox as POWL.
When we processed any work item in Inbox, the same work item still appearing (after approve) in inbox. When we click on "Refresh" link the approved work item is disappearing. Every time click on "Refresh" link is difficult.
Link to refresh work task items is available but user requires this to be done automatically upon processing of an item.
Advance Thanks.
Regards,
Srinivasu.Y

Hi Siddharth,
I appreciate your help. I checked POWL configuration SPRO-->Cross-Application Components --> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications --> Inbox --> Define Tasks and Actions --> Create or Change Actions
here refresh type is empty.
I Changed Refresh type to "OPTIMISTIC".
changes are reflected in table IBO_C_WF_ACC
Not in table IBO_C_WF_ACS
do i need to change the Refresh type in Standard table IBO_C_WF_ACS also?
issue is not fixed after changed in Refresh type also. please let me know if i missed any step?
Issue: Manager approving Travel request in MSS inbox using POWL. when Manager clickes Task new window will open to approve/Reject. when he approved, the work item is not refreshed until click on "Refresh" link in POWL inbox.

  • Formatted Search is not auto-refreshed when Item Description changes

    Hi all,
    I have a UDF "Packing Details" at Goods Receipt screen row level.
    My formatted search setting is the field should be auto-refreshed when Item No is changed.
    1) I press TAB at Item No and choose an Item, Packing Details UDF will auto-refresh. (No problem)
    2) However, if i press TAB at Item Description and choose an Item, Packing Details UDF will not auto-refresh. I need to press SHIFT+F2 to make packing details appear.
    I try the same setting at Goods Receipt PO, the Packing Details UDF will refresh automatically regardless i choose the item from Item No or Item Description.
    Is anyone face this problem before?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Gordon.
    I have told this to customer before, but they prefer to have 'Refresh' on both Item Code and Item Description.
    I think we have no choice but let the customer to choose either one, right?
    Thanks.

  • Auto-open work item

    Hi!
    I'am a beginner at AL BPM and I have a basic question about working with work items.
    I'm trying to design a process model where on the first step end-user should fill a request form. So my process model has a global creation activity that creates a process instanse and the first interactive activity is "Create request". Within this interactive activity end-user fills and submits a request form.
    When user starts the process in the Workspace a new task "Create request" appears in his Work Items pane. To execute the task user must click the task. Fron the point of view of end-user it would be more comfortable if the request form opens when he starts the process.
    Is it possible to open the first task automatically after starting the process without any manual operations?
    p.s. Possbly I could add an appropriate screenflow to a global creation activity, but in this case I have no opportunity to specify parameters to a global activity in simulation model. It is critical to evaluate the "Create Request" activity within simulation, that's why I've added an interactive activity "Create Request".
    Thank you in advance.

    (sorry - I did not see that Ruben had also posted an answer)
    Hi,
    Yes, you can have the same participant automatically invoke the screenflow for the next Interactive activity without going back to the Inbox. One caveat to doing this - if you make this change, it effects every participant using the Workspace. Some end users may not like this functionality.
    The "workspace.properties" file in the <Studio or Enterprise home directory>\webapps\workspace\WEB-INF directory has a "fuego.workspace.execution.performNextActivity" property. The default for this is false. If you change this to true, the currently logged on participant will continue to execute Interactive activity screenflows for a work item instance without having to click the Inbox.
    For this to work, the participant would just need to be authorized to perform the activities (assigned to the roles) that the work item instance flows through. Once the instance reaches an Interactive activity in a role that the participant is not assigned, they no longer would automatically invoke the Interactive activity screenflows.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Auto Forward Work items

    Hi,
    I would like to know do we have this in standard functionality
    Leave Request.
    When manager is going on vacation ,the manager will assign the user id in UWL inbox to whom  all or leave request work items should be forwarded for time interval eg 10 days /end date.
    Can anyone faced this same kind of requirement.
    IF this is possible in standard ,how authorization should be handled when it is automatically forwarded to another user.
    Thanks,
    Nachy

    Hi Nachy,
    For this you have to actiivate the sustitution for that particular user.
    Say user A --> substitute (User B).
    Once the substitution is activated, you can verify the same in HRUS_D2 table.

  • Auto refresh, passing item name

    Hi all
    I have a page which needs to automatically refresh each ten minutes. It may be navigated away from and back to and in this situation, I don't want the report which is cached to be re-run. If the page is left for ten minutes, the page should reload and the report should re-run.
    This should all be quite simple, I have two processes, one on submit when a user presses a button and another on load when a hidden item is set to load.
    The refresh code is as follows with the hidden item P0_LOAD being set to R which does not appear to be passed to the app. Is the following syntax correct and if not what have others done to get around this please?
    <PRE><meta http-equiv='refresh' content=10; url='f?p=&APP_ID.:&PAGE_ID.:&SESSION.::::P0_LOAD:R:' /></PRE>

    Resolved:
    <PRE><meta http-equiv='refresh' content="10;f?p=&APP_ID.:&PAGE_ID.:&SESSION.::::P0_LOAD:R:" /></PRE>

  • Konqueror file management and auto-refresh

    Hello all,
    I am working with Arch and KDEmod and so far everything is pretty good. I do have one problem that is a bit annoying.
    Konqueror file manager windows do not automatically refresh when viewing the URLs system:/home or system:/users/jay. The system:/home URL is what is opened when you click on the "Home" icon, so this makes this problem stand out.
    Anyway, the problem can be reduced by doing the following:
    1. Open Konqueror file browser and select "Home Folder" from the tree on left. This puts you at the URL system:/home. (Alternately, just click on the "Home" icon that gets set up in the kicker by KDEmod.)
    2. In a terminal window create a file in your home directory. Note that the file does not show up in the Konqueror window.
    3. Press F5 to refresh Konqueror. The newly created file now appears.
    4. In a terminal window delete the file you just created. Again, note that the file does not disappear from the Konqueror window.
    5. Press F5 to refresh Konqueror. The file now disappears.
    The correct behavior is that when you create and delete the file, it shows and then disappears from the Konqueror window accordingly. Currently this does not work for the system:/home (Home Folder) or system:/users/jay (Users Folders/<user full name>) URLs. Interestingly enough, if I type the URL "/home/jay" into the Konqueror location bar in file management mode and then do the above steps, the auto-refresh works fine.
    Does anyone have any clues as to why the refresh doesn't work for the system:/ URLs? Is this by design? What plugin actually provides the system:/ URL schema?
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Jay

    Hi LunAds,
    I'm afraid you have just discovered how bad these features are implemented in Excel: they just don't work properly and I always advise against using them for any serious long-term solution.
    If you do not have Excel services, then editing the document on the server (which would prevent lots of problems) is out of the question indeed.
    Alternatives depend a lot on your needs.
    For example, you could use sharepoint lists that the users can edit and then import those lists into Excel for reporting purposes.
    But if this is relational data (parent-child tables, which is very often the case) then a database solution is probably the best route to take.

  • Auto-refresh formatted search is not working properly...

    I have created a User Defined Field in Item Master named: FLD1 (Alphanumeric 30)
    Then I have created a User Defined Field in Marketing Documents Row: FLD1 (Alphanumeric 30)
    Now I want as follows u2013
    In Marketing Documents if I select any Item, the value saved in FLD1 in the Item Master will come automatically in the Field FLD1 of the Marketing Document.
    I did as follows u2013
    I have created a formatted search for the above marketing document (in Sales Quotation) for the field FLD1 as follows u2013
    Option: Search in Existing User-Defined Values according to Saved Query
    Query: GetItemFLD1 (SELECT $[OITM.U_FLD1] )
    Option: Auto Refresh  -
    When Exiting Altered Column
    Field: Item Description
    Option: Display Saved User-Defined Values
    But the above is not working automatically --- after saving the document if I click on the Formatted Search Marker then the value comes otherwise not.

  • How to make use of Listener to auto refresh  items in SelectOneMenu

    Hi,
    I have a transaction jsp page that make use of the SelectOneMenu of which the Selectitems for example consists of all the item_code are added to the dropdownitems through the sessionBean1 ArrayList.
    The problem started when new item_code are being added to the SQL tables using other JSP that allow user to input new item code.
    JSF transaction page using SelectOneMenu could not effectively updated the options to include and reflect the new item subsequently added simply because the page has been rendered to the user .
    I believe using some sort of listener , whenever any action or event took place , JSP that are having the particular UI components being rendered could be auto refresh at the client side of JSP html page.
    Could anyone provide some hints?
    Thank

    Hi,
    Thank for the suggestion,
    In fact I am looking for two possiblity on how to overcome this sort of issues,
    Firstly , if the JSF page has not been rendered , you could always make use of the sessionbean1 to do the job , for example if you add a new item to the selectOneMenu dropitems, you could make use of this method to update the list of items in the dropitems , though it would always be the last items on the sorted list .
    Secondly , using some sort of autorefresh to push to the client to inform the user that new item have been added , advise them to manual refresh the page.
    I am in fact using the first method to add new item to the dropdownmenu for those JSP that involve page forwarding and redirect such as shopping basket / cart beans .
    My concern is when displaying the list of real-time shopping items available to the user , method 1 would not work at all , simply because JSF page was already rendered to the user browser, only beaming alerting message seems to be able to overcome such shortcoming when scenario demand realtime.
    Thank

    Hi,
       I need to know how to implement auto refresh feature in POWL ( Personalize Object Work List ) after pressing any button present in the tool bar on POWL.

  • Auto Refresh XML Iview

    Hi,
    I created an xml iview that pulls in Yahoo stock quotes for our company. The iview works fine. Where do I set a property that tells the iview to auto refresh? I have not been able to find that. Our environment is NW04 Stack 11.
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Hi Kris,
         You have to a server side timer component that tells the iview to refresh after certain amount of time. In a Dynpage the code will be following.
    Form myForm = getForm();
    Timer timer = new Timer("timeOut");
    //this is the event method
    timer.setServerEventName("myTimeoutEvent");
    //time in milli seconds
    timer.setTimeOut(600000);
    myForm.addComponent(timer);

  • POWL auto-refresh

    Hi Gurus,
    We are building SRM 7 SP07 with ECS.
    Are you aware of any customizing in SRM regarding POWL auto-refresh? Or is that sheer EP stuff?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi there,
    The functionality is planned for release with SRM 7.0 SP6,
    Can you please ensure that the criteria of the auto refresh have ALL
    been met as defined here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/80/c8cbf89a394eaaa59767d0f
    af958d3/frameset.htm
    More sepcifically the selection in customizing:
    Define Number and Intervals of Iterations for Automatic Refresh of POWL
    The 'update' or auto refresh is generated once the criteria
    have been established and executed manually once, i.e. If you create
    a query and define criteria, you should refresh this query then manually
    Now once any additional documents are created which conform to the
    criteria they will be automatically added to the POWL.
    This is how the system is designed to work, basically, one manual
    refresh is required, then auto refresh kicks in. This of course is
    invalidated by running of the POWL_WLOAD or similar reports which will
    in many cases clear the search criteria and require new configuration
    and refreshing manually.
    Please also ensure that the following note has been implemented
    1465828 Additional URL parameter to refresh POWL  after logon
    Afterwards you will have 2 parameters REFRESHA and REFRESHQ.
    After Implementing the corrections, you can set the following parameters
    in your PFCG configuration: REFRESHA=X to refresh all to queries after
    logon
    REFRESHQ=X to refresh only the current default query which is opened
    after logon.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Auto refresh/reload of content in km navigation iview?

    We are using loads of km navigation iviews to show content from km folders or taxonomy folders. Some of these are placed  on the portals front page (company news for example). Since many of our employees log into our portal in the morning and then keeps it in the background during the day without refreshing the page, they miss out on new items in these iviews. This could also apply to display screens in our factories.
    Does anyone have a solution as to how make these iviews refresh at certain intervals?

    Hi Henning,
    have you fixed this issue?
    Could you please share with me the details?

  • How to force Work Item Query Policy to refresh its cached query results?

    I have enabled the Work Item Query Policy on my TFS project.  It works as expected, except when using Visual Studio 2013 with the following sequence of steps:
    User selects Check in Pending Changes from the Source Control Explorer
    User enters in the ID of the work item to be associated to the changeset
    User clicks the Check In button
    Work Item Query Policy displays message ' Work item ##### was not found in the results of stored query...'
    User realizes his mistake, and modifies (and saves) the work item so that it is returned in in the query result set
    User clicks the Check In button again expecting the TFS policy to accept the association
    Work Item Query Policy still displays message ' Work item ##### was not found in the results of stored query...'
    Removing the Work Item and re-associating it does not make a difference.  The only workaround that I have found is to close Visual Studio and reopen it.  Does any one have a better solution than this?

    Our setup is different from the one you are using:
    - User is using VS 2013 Update 4.
    - We are running TFS 2010 SP1
    The test case that you described is different from the one that is causing my problem (that scenario works fine for me as well).  I am trying to associate the check in to the same work item both times; whereas, you are associating it to a different
    work item the second time.  I can consistently reproduce the error using the following steps:
    1) Create a query that returns All Bugs in Active state, and set it as the query for the Work Item Query Policy
    2) Create and save a new Bug
    3) Run the query to confirm that the new bug does not appear in the result set
    4) Checkout a file, modify it, save it
    5) Check in the file and associate it to the bug from step 2)
    - the Work Item Query Policy will issue an error message saying that the work item cannot be found in the associated query
    6) Change the state of the bug to Active, and save
    7) Refresh the query to confirm that the bug now appears in the result set
    8) Check in the file again
    - error message from step 5) will not go away
