You need to create a new security profile in SCC and deploy the MBO to that security profile instead of using default security "admin". You can follow the blog I mentioned to understand how to create a new security profile in SCC (refer SCC configuration section steps 1,2 and 3 in the blog). From the "authentication provider" tab you will be able to select different authentication types. For LDAP authentication you need a LDAP server configured in your environment. Also note that when you create MBO keep the credentials dynamic with the default "username" and "password" selected as in image no.5 in blog.

  • Phone Auto Registration

    HI,
I have configured Phone auto registration on cucm 8.6. when I plug the phone it will show tftp not found trust list not update...
if I enter tftp ip manually it will download the new f/w and registered with the defined extension.
How can I get phone to auto registered without manually enter tftp server IP. ?
    Thanks.

you need dhcp server to lease ip addresses to phones.
and incliding option 150 for sccp phones and option 66 for sip phones.
    options 150 and 66 should point to suscriber1 subscriber2
suscribers should have tftp servers running

  • CUCM 7.x, auto registration not assign the correct auto extensions

    Hello,
I have a site that that when I plug an IP phone I get an extension in the range of 2400 instead 4100 range. Any IP phone I plug in any site should be in the 4100 range don't know why only this site auto registers phones in the 2400 range.  Also one phone register with an extension of 2428 but did not show up in call manager. Any suggestions why this is happening.
    Thanks.
    Horacio

    Hi Horacio,
If you have a phone that's registered, but not in your callmanager, my first step would be to see where it is registered to.  Check on the phone to see what the tftp server is.  It honestly sounds like you've got the dhcp scope at that building poined at a different CUCM cluster.

  • SLD - Auto Registration of installed products ??

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying IDOC-XI-FILE scenario. I need to register SAP R/3 system in SLD. I re-started J2EE engine(SMICM) in XI. This should register all installed products in SLD automatically. But, I still do not see R/3 system in SLD.
So, i tried to create manually by choosing SAP WAS ABAP system type. I have to supply  "Data Base Host Name". Where do I find this ? This is not available in SLICENSE transaction. Please help.

I would recommend fixing the SLD Data Supplier bridge problem rather than goign and create ABAP system type with database host name etc. Because you need this SLD anyway during the runtime also. So, CHeck in the visual administrator that SLD data supplier bridge is configured properly.

  • IP phone attempted-registrations

    Hello
I have a router cisco 3945 with ios 15.2(4)M5. Then I enter command 'show ephone attempted-registrations', it doesn't show mac address of an ip phone.  How can the issue be fixed?

Did you enabled auto registration under telephony services?
And if you enable debug tftp events you can see all the device which are attempting to register.

  • CUCM 9.1 - Adjust template for Auto-Registered phones

    Hello,
I'm trying to find where I can adust the auto-registration phone template.  I want to be able to set the device pool, CSS, MoH, and if possilbe services subscription.
    Thanks,
    AK

There's not just one place, it's spread across device defaults, unified CM, unified CM groups.
The amount of settings you can config for auto-reg is very limited, you'll need to use BAT after registration for many of the things you want.

  • Cisco sup720-3bxl crashes

    Hello everyone,
4 weeks passed in debugging Cisco SUP720-3BXL crashes and I don't know what to do...
It's new Cisco module without warranty and since first day it crashes when "minimal or complete diagnostic" is turned on during boot.
When manually the diagnostic is executed, it rises up major fault related to TestFabricSnakeForward & TestFabricSnakeBackward only....perhaps because the second sup720 is not installed yet.
I would like to ask you to take a look and help me to figure out what is going on.

I changed the slot from 5 to 6 but no difference...
I have attached the tech support files.
TechSupport__Before_Running_Diag.txt - Before running manually "diagnostic start module 6 test C"
TechSupport__After_Running_Diag.txt - Before running manually "diagnostic start module 6 test C"
Just did it in  case of differences.

  • OIM11gR2PS1 - Invalid task definition Error when deploying soa composite

    Hi,
I am having a issue modifying the approval policies.
I cant select the composite for approval workflow.
I can see the composite as "Active" in soa-infra and it is shown in the search box when selecting the composite to be used in approval policies.
    The following error is shown,
The same composite, I am able to deploy and select in the approval policies in a different instance.

For this check the OIMFrontEndURL in oim-config.xml and see if your front end url does not have a port. This issue would come up if the port is missing. Even if you are using any load balancer (which is on port 80) in front of OIM, then you can use it as http://lbUrl:80 to fix this issue.
Basically the OIM code is expecting a port in the oimFrontEndUrl for this to work.
If you talk to Oracle via SR then you can refer to bug: 16409132 which is fixed in 11gR2PS2

  • 7940 Config and flash issues

Hi, i'm hoping somebody can please help me.
I have been using VOIP via a softphone for a couple of years now, I decided that I wanted to have a go at setting up a Cisco phone. So I have got a 7940G second hand which works fine. I am a home user trying to learn so I am using a BT Homehub with dynamic IP and SIP on voip-talk.org
The phone was still configured form the previous owner with subnet, DNS, FTP, VLAN etc. I couldn't find a how to edit these settings, so I thought if I set it back to factory defaults, told it to delete network cfg. I thought on restarting it might ask me to input the detail? but it showing "configuring VLAN" and then constantly stays on "configuring IP"
although it stills picks up an IP via DHCP and I can ping it ok, I can also browse on to the web interface which show the following info

Basically I need to know first all how to at least change the settings, as I don't have access via the phone itself or the web interface. And I will probibly also need to reflash the firmware with something that will do SIP.
Thanks for looking and your help

    Hi
I think the main issue you have with this phone is that its not picking up a TFTP server IP address and therefore cannot download any configuration details.
As a start i'd check that the IP address range that it has got via DHCP has an option 150 setup to your CUCM TFTP server.
Once its got this, if you have auto registration setup if should at least boot up
    Hope this helps

  • IP Phones and Callmanager

What does it take to get my Cisco 7960, 7940, or 7910 IP Phone to register with Cisco CallManager?
    Bill

    Hi bbaley,
There are two methods to get your Ip phone register with Cisco call manager but first the requirement are :
1)Power to IP Phone : this can be either from any PoE port in switch Or power through adapter.
2)Dhcp server : the connected device(in this case IP phone) will follow the DORA process to get -
ip address from the pool of available Ip's, subnet mask, Dns address, default router, and domain name. Dhcp is to be configured with an option 150 (for TFTP Server address).Since
all the config, firmware can be downloaded from that directory. Cisco call manager also provide a feature of TFTP server, so
you can make Cisco call manager as your TFTP server. Provided that you have to mention the TFTP address in DHCP as that of
Cisco call manager. And in cisco call manager you have to enable the feature of TFTP server and give it the ip address that you will
    configure in Dhcp option 150.
Once, IP Phones will get the TFTP server address it will start downloading the config file. Here you need to remember that you can make the
device registration as auto registration or configure it manually .
1st method to configure it manually :
Note the mac address of ip phone wich is printed back side of it -> go to CM administration -> in device tab -> select ip phone -> select add new device ->
now select the model of the ip phone, assign the mac-address of the ip phone and provide the extention number
2nd mathod : Configure an auto generation in Cisco call manager -> go to Cisco unified call manager and enable auto registration -> choose system and then cisco unified call
    manager, assign the dirtectory number,
now your IP Phone will get register from cucm

Titles (I assume these are <i>job</i> titles) have no inherent, universal meaning. They mean whatever the user wants them to mean. My "official" job title (the one listed on all personnel documents) is "IT Specialist-DATAMGMT" What does that mean?. Everyone around here referes to me as a "Senior DBA". What does that mean?
I handle all issues with creating, building, backing up, tuning, consulting that refer to an Oracle database. I know other people with my same job title whose responsibilities are to develop department level applications on MS Access. At a former job, I was a "programmer/analyst". My job was to design, code, and maintain COBOL programs. One day I was trying to help a "data entry clerk" with a problem she was having with one of my systems. When I asked her a question for which she didn't know the answer, her reply was "I don't know. I'm just the computer programmer." Meaning? In my office, a "computer programmer" was a person who designed programs and wrote code. In her office a "computer programmer" was a person who keyed auto registration information, using the application that I wrote. So, what was a "computer programmer"?
So .... a title is just that. A title. It means no more and no less than what the people who use it want it to mean.

  • IP Communicator Config from Desktop

    Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to know is there a way where i can configure a config file on desktop so that IP communicator gets registered to a device pool automatically
We have 4 group agents and requirement is to setup a auto registration with separte device pool for each
I guess this is possible in avaya to acquire the desired extension using config file
    Best Regards
    Vinay

    Hi
CIPC can get the TFTP address from Option 150 the same as the phones do - just add option 150 to the data VLAN DHCP scopes as well as the voice... or it make it a global server option, that way you don't have the think about it again!
    Alternatively, you can either:
    1) Push out a registry setting using whatever you manage desktop software with (i.e. MS SCCM, Altiris, the office junior)... set HKLM/Software/Cisco Systems, Inc./Communicator/TftpServer1 to the address. This is encoded so the easiest way would be to copy this setting from a configured/working PC.
    2) Better still, when deploying the software, use the MSI and specify the switch to set the TFTP server:
    msiexec /i CiscoIPCommunicatorSetup.msi /qb TFTP1="IP Address 1"

  • SRM supplier user synchronization between SUS and productive client

Dear Sirs, in our SRM environement the contact persons (and relative system users) created by suppliers in the auto-registration procedure, should be synchronized between SUS and productive client.
(in our implementation client 150 and 330) .
This sync mechanism should be valid also for lock-unlock status of the user and reset of the password,
but in both cases it does not works (a locked user, manually unlocked from client 150 via SU01, is again locked in client 330, the same from 330 client).
Could you suggest a solution or some checkpoints ?
Could you provide some links for the configuration of this mechanism ? (we have seen only the SPRO node " Maintain Systems for Synchronization of User Data") ?
I am not shure if XI is implicated or not.
    Best regards,
    Riccardo Galli

    HI
Maintain Systems for Synchronization of User Data
In this IMG activity, you specify the RFC destinations to which user data from SUS User Management is replicated.
In the Logical System field, you should enter the backend destination with which the user data should be synchronized when they are entered in SUS. On the basis of this information, the system determines the relevant RFC destination automatically.
Specify the function modules for creating, changing, or deleting a user in the external system for each logical system:
Function Module for Creating User: Function module that is called to create a user in the external system
Function Module for Changing User: Function module that is called to change the user in the external system
Function Module for Deleting User: Function module that is called to delete the user in the external system
If this data exists, you can set the indicator Use Purchasing BP ID to use the business partner ID from the procurement system instead of the business partner ID from SUS.
What are the settings maintained here ?
external system and roles in external system
