Auto restart problem s880

I just have bought s880 Lenovo which is think i did terrible mistake. 
This gadget start automatically restarting each 5-6 min and if not work for more than 15 min will be OFF itself. And worse than, if just leave it for more than 4 hour will die and have to take off battery  in order to turn it ON.  Any idea?

It seemed that the built-in IdeaDesktop software has caused many problem with the S880. My S880 experienced auto-restart, many unathorized setting changes, particularly on the ringtone, wallpaper crash, and so many others, including phone crash, etc.i tried to find out what has happened by localizing any application running using an application lock program and it points out all to the role of IdeaDesktop. Could it be a malware? And if so, how could it be like that, since it is really a root application. How could a multinational co like Lenovo letting a malware be embedded to their product?

    I am having a strange problem with my Xperia Arc S. It's keep auto-restarting all the time and does not start at all. It's showing the "Sony" Logo then the "Xperia" logo then blank screen and then after some waiting it's keep showing the "Sony" logo and "Xperia" Logo.     Hi ... I had a same problem and its resolved by just some working mentioned below, do not panic your data is same and it will be recovered, twhen your mobile arc s is continuesly restarting, when xperia logo is displayed, long press the home key or continuesly press it, the middle button and in 4 to 5 restart you will see the lock screen and your wall paper and it might restart from that point also but try again and again and if the screen stays move quickly to settings and close the blue tooth and with the next restart your phone will be normal, hence forth do not use bluetooth i future It will require many try so be patient and try again and again.  I was successful twice and got all my data as it is. ashok.gos wrote:

    Do you face the same problem when you connect a computer straight to the modem...If yes, then it is the problem with your modem...
    If you have stable connection with your modem then you should try to hard reset your router and then re-configure it...

    Remove the SIM and the Memory Card and see if it makes any difference without them being inserted. If it remains ON without the subject issue, insert the SIM and the MC but only one at a time to isolate what is creating the problem. If its the SIM, get it replaced. If its MC, back-up data from it onto your PC and Format it. Then try again ...
    If problem remains, back-up data and Reset the device by dialing *#7370# followed by 12345 (Default code unless changed by you) when prompted. Be warned that this will erase all data from the Phone memory.. See if the problem is resolved.
    Lastly, if there is no update available(as mentioned in the post above) re-install the existing Firmware.

    If the formatting codes posted in sticky works(/discussions/board/message?board.id=hardware&thread.id=6601), format it if it is a software corrupted issue. Backing up first for formatting will erases most data. Else check if there is an upgrade for software & upgrade it thru internet.

    Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
    This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help.

  • MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011 Model: Auto Shutdown/Restart Problem

    This is my first time to sign in, join the community, and ask a question or create a discussion. FYI, I really have little knowledge on tech stuff so please bear with me. Here's my problem, and I hope you can give out your suggestions:
    I have a MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011 Model which I have upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion.
    A month or two ago, it had started shutting down or restarting at random times. As time passed, this problem became more frequent.
    I finally decided to have it checked at Digital Hub, a licensed Apple distributor. After almost a week, they've finally diagnosed that the problem is with my battery. I got my MacBook pro back around 2 (two) weeks ago, and ever since then I had to use an outlet in order for it and myself to work properly. Right now, I'm still saving up to purchase new batteries.
    Recently, however, I've noticed that my MacBook Pro auto restarts even when plugged. Take note, RESTART and no longer shutting down completely. Upon further trials, I've finally concluded that it does so only during the use of heavy programs such as Diablo 3, Final Cut Pro X, and when rendering with iMovie. I have yet to try with Adobe products, particularly with Lightroom and Photoshop, and see if it does the same. But more or less, that's what I've noticed so far.
    Given that I still haven't purchased the battery yet, I know it's still vague to know the real probelm/solution. But with the given situations, what are you views on this matter? Please let me know. It'd be of great help. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!

    Just an update:
    2 loops/passes done - no errors.
    Called up Digital Hub and talked to the technician, he says there are 3 possible problems:
    1. Battery (which is still inside the laptop) may cause some disturbances with the electric current
    2. Software related - most likely re-formatting may be needed
    3. Video card may have failed, which means complete change of the logic board ----> worst case
    I'm crossing my fingers that it's either of the first two.

    It cannot just change itself.  If it has not been changed by someone using the phone, then the only other thing I can think of is that the phone is on a corporate Exchange account, and the passcode has been changed by the administrator.  If that is not the answer then the phone will have to be restored.

    I usually connect to a router (infrastructure) but yesterday I connected to an ad hoc network and when I disconnected the E61 crashed and rebooted.
    The WLAN features on the E61 need to be improved by Nokia as there are a number of problems:
    1. crashes when disconnecting from ad hoc networks.
    2. will only work with many routers when power saving is disabled on the phone and then the battery life is very short.
    3. cannot connect to some secure wireless networks because EAP-TTLS-PAP is not supported.
    4. the error message 'WPA Authentication Failure' appears randomly when you try to connect then a few seconds later it will connect without any change in settings.
    The power saving would be a real problem with VoIP, but VoIP does not work with most providers!

    I installed 6 operating systems on my pc (WinXp Home Edition Turkish/English,WinXP Pro Turkish/English,Win98 Turkish/English) and tested it, but every time i meet the same thing (MS Blue Screen Of Death Sux...).I checked the WinXP`s logs and searched for error code`s meaning from microsoft knowledge database. They are saying nothing about this problem but the problem`s root is coming from a bad device driver. It seems to be a generic problem for all operating systems cuz all of them were restarting themselves randomly, before i close "auto-restart on critical errors" option.After i saw some messages on forums , i searched for my RAM maker`s home page then i learned that my RAM is assembled with VIA KT Series and SIS chips & optimized for them. I think nForce is too picky about rams.But i aint sure about where the hell is this problem coming from. If you guys are sure about that is an unsupported ram problem and knew the list of ram marks&models that supported by MSI K7N2 Delta -L ,please help me about this damn problem. Thanks for your help.
    Note : I tried Asus Ati Radeon 9200SE 64mb g.adapter (some peoples told me thats about g.adapter), but problem continued.

    If I read correctly in your specs I see only 11 Amps on the +12v Rail. Is this correct?
    If so, I'd advise a PSU that has at least 18 amps on the +12v Rail, perhaps as low as 16 with the other rails to match as shown currently in your spec.
    11 Amps is just way too underpowered for that rig. I am surprised it even boots.
    At what point does the BSOD occur?

  • Auto Restart Issue with Mac Book AIR

    Have been using a Macbook PRO for sometime, no problem with Parallel installed. Due to frequent traveling, light and compact is my priority now, so I bought another AIR (11" i7 chip w/ Parallel installed as well). It was working flawlessly for few weeks, used it to download a couple of updates when I was in China (approx. 4Mbit/sec line speed) still no issues. UNTIL when I get back to my office and using WIFI updated another few stuffs, the AIR started to behave strangely with "your computer needs to restart due to problem ..."  the last few days it happened at least 10 times daily, so I did what I know with the usual Mac way,  reset PRAM, repair permissions blah blah blah ..problems persists so I called the service centre and the technician I talked to suggested the issue could be from 'your moderate internet speed causing incomplete system updated files.' ;  half convinced but I followed / reinstalled ...with no CD, it has to press option to select  to reinstall -- only then I realized a big problem, originally it states requires 27 hours to reinstall a fresh LION in my AIR but finally it completed and restated in still about MASSIVE 7-1/2 hours time. 
    As I have bought a USB network connector now (a convenient gadget when stays at hotels with different levels of facilities offered), this is not so troublesome and I think fellow users should consider using network and avoid using WIFI for this purpose. I notice once the left USB once was used (without turning off the WIFI)  it keeps breaking the connections, as I read some articles from this forum the left USB could has some stability issues.  After all the time spent, the computer freezes at times and auto restarts again. What the heck has this causes the AIR to behave this way ?
    NEXT, I also read on the Power issues, I bought it without realizing one of the technical highlight is on high performance battery management but you can chop my head off and sit on mine if the AIR can last 3 hours (probably the suggested time is with computer power on but without using it at all). I don't want to sound un-nice as I have been using Mac for many many years:  1) if AIR is entirely basing on internet (VERY HIGH SPEED) for support is not a really very friendly method for users if there is reliability issues via internet line support, says what if we are caught in remote area with 30k/sec line speed then we are totally dead ... ; 2)  the recent scare makes me dare not using the software updates now, as technician suggested, write down what is required to update, find it from apple and do it manually ...Goohs, my Mac Book Pro using side by side doesn't has this issue.   Since when was the last time I have to suffer maintaining a Mac myself ? ...  @%#&@*!(!
    Anyone has clue to these or simply return to service centre to handle for me ?

    I´m sorry it took so long to reply, but I´m new to these blogs; and I´ve been travelling a lot... Anyway, I was able to configure Airport Express, but I was told I could use it to expand my wireless network inside my house; which I found it´s not possible.
    So, I´m returning my Airport Express to the store tomorrow and try to figure out a way to extend my wireless in any other way.
    Any sugestion? Big houses are a problem...
