Auto-run SubVI closes before I can edit

Hi-
I created a subVI that runs upon call, then quits LabView when done (it's a diagram popup).  But now I cannot edit the VI, b/c it automatically runs, and then exits. I unforunately do not have the abort button being display on toolbar.
Is there a way to resolve this problem?>
thanks

Can you place it in the block diagram of another blank vi and then double click on it to edit it?

Every time I try to open Safari it closes before I can type a website address, only started since update.

    Hi lpgn,
If you are having issues launching Safari on your iPad after a recent update, you may want to try resetting the saved information in Safari. You may find the following helpful:
Follow these steps to clear information from your device:
To clear your history from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History.
To clear all cookies from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data.
To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

  • Window keeps popping and closes before I can read it

Whenever I'm on my MacBook Pro, I always get these pop up windows (like, the ones with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark). But before I can even read them, they close by themselves—they pop up for, like, less than a second and then close. It's kind of annoying, and I don't know if I should be worried about them or not... I would like to know what they say, but that's not going to happen apparently... Someone, help! Please and thank youu!

  • Mac help closes before I can use it

This is really two questions, since "Help" isn't working. I've connected two macs (mine with a G4 iBook) and I'm trying to transfer stuff from one to the other via ethernet. It seems I've forgotten what I have to do, since I've allowed file sharing on both computers, but neither recognizes the other when I browse for networks.
I once uses mac help to figure it out, but now the help closes as soon as I open it. I select Help from the menu in the Finder, then I select "Mac Help," and the window opens, white, and the closes immediately, before I can do a search.
Any ideas about what's going on? Thanks

    Hi Homer
Try this to fix the Help Viewer:
Try first (quit Help) deleting this folder:
    Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui
If Help still doesn't work, try then deleting these files:
    Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist
    Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.help.plist
    (and
    Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpui.plist
    for those who use Panther)

  • Why doesn't Firefox close even when I close it. When I try to open it again I get a "Firefox is running, please close before reopening...or something like that", but I can't close it and it's not really open where I can see it.

It just won't close unless I reboot my computer

One situation in which Command+w or Ctrl+w might not work is if the "focus" is in a plugin such as the Flash player used on Youtube after you interact with the player controls. Firefox will continue to send the keyboard input to the plugin until you move the focus back to the page. Does that account for any of the problem?

  • Photoshop 12 trial version will open and Close before I can use it

How can I fix this problem when I open Photoshop Elements 12 it opens and closes immediately?

You have posted in the wrong Adobe Forum. If you have Photoshop Elements 12, you should be posting in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum, not the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing).
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements
Either repost your question or wait for a moderator to see your thread and place it in the appropriate forum.
    Some questions to think about...
    a. How are you opening the program? From the desktop icon? If so, how far do you get....do you get the Welcome Screen and does it stay open? Is it only when you hit Welcome Screen Organizer or Editor Tab that everything closes/disappears?
    b. What computer operating system are you running your Photoshop Elements 10 on? What do your computer resources look like? Is your Photoshop Elements 12 issue "it never worked before" or "it worked before but not now"?
Lots more questions. But lots more details needed.

    Hello Cheryl.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

  • When I exit Firefox and later load Firefox it says its open, although I can't use, have to go to Windows Task Manager and force it to close before I can load it again.

Problem is on a Dell Studio XPS desktop with the i7 processor. Current version used is 3.6.13, although the problem occurred with previous version, and only occurs intermittently. Does not seem to be time related. Sometimes, though not always, there will be two copies of Firefox open in the Task Manager "processes". When I close Firefox, and reload, runs fine until the next time.

  • Working with Social Panel (YouTube).  I am having trouble after I place the widget on the page, I cannot change the options in the pull down menu. As soon as I click on the option to enter a URL the option panel closes before I can place the text

Any Ideas as to what I am neglecting to do or should do?

I bring up a page that has some formatting on it
I click on Social Widgets or Slide Show Widget and bring the widget over to the page.
I then click on the arrow at the side of the widget on the page to bring up an options dialog.
As soon as I click on one of the selections the entire pull down menu of options disappears.
I've been using Muse since the very beginning of the Creative Cloud offering.    As soon as Muse was updated to 2014 I started having this problem.
None of the other applications such as Dreamweaver seems to have any of these bugs.
I have contacted Adobe and been through two sessions of deleting Muse and reinstalling it.
I have had an Adobe Tech mirror the system and as soon as I went back into Muse the problem persisted.
I am at the point of stopping the use of Muse entirely and moving the websites that I have in Creative Cloud that were created with Muse moved to another server.

  • PS CC, loads but then crashes before i can do anything. any ideas as to what i could do?

I havent run PS CC for a couple weeks, and I have not changed anything on my computer that i am aware of (is a brand new build).
Today, I went to mess around with PS and possibly edit some images but it woulndt load properly. Well, it loads but then crashes (just closes) before I can do anything. A couple times i got a pop up indicating it cant connect to the adobe servers (not that you need net service to use the program of course) but i dont even get that popup anymore.
This is *really* ticking me off. I dont use a firewall, but do use eset node32 antivirus 2014. never set the firewall in that eithe (not really sure how to since they changed things since the last time i bought that program). windows firewall is set, but adobe it set to go through it
LR5, PSE12, Premiere pro CC - they all load no problem but PS CC does not load properly.
Ive run malware bytes, did a reset/boot of the computer so far. the only program Ive noticed issues with is PS CC.
    ANY ideas?

  • IMovie 09 Crashes Before I Can Even Choose Something To Import

IMovie has a massive problem with importing video (not from a camera). As soon as I choose to import video it shows the finder as it should, but I get the wheel of death which doesn't stop.
It has kind of developed this problem over time, I used to be able to import fine, then I could navigate through finder a bit but it would crash when I got a few folders deep, now I can't even go 1 level deep.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how I can fix it? I'm using an IMac 7,1 running Mac OS X 10.6.4, so upgrading to iLife 11 doesn't really seem like a good option, as I'd also have to upgrade the OS (and spend money, which I'd prefer not to do).
    Thanks
    Thanks

You need to create a new project before you can edit the video. When you import video it goes into an Event. You then create a project (File>New Project) and drag clips or parts of clips into the project. Full editing features are then available. It's best if you have Show Advanced Tools checked in iMovie>Preferences, as this gives you access to some important additional functions.
See this Apple tutorial, which includes a video:

  • Show File Info window disappears before I can change permissions on it.

I am trying to access a Pages document in a file sharing arrangement, but Pages won't allow me to access it.  I checked permissions and need to add permissions, but the Show File Info window closes before I can do anything to change permissions.

    J,
Not to dodge the issue, but you are having an OS problem, not a Pages problem. If nobody comes along here with an explanation, you might do well to post in the Snow Leopard discussion area, assuming your profile is correct.

  • FCP 7.0.3 Import window closes itself before I can select anything

I just reinstalled FCS on my mac book pro and updated it to FCP 7.0.3. I am running Yosemite. When I select file>import the dialogue pops up but before I can click on anything or make a selection it closes. Anyone else see this behavior? What might be the cause?
    MBP Retina (2012)
    2.3 GHz core i7
    16 GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M
    OS 10.10.1

Well, I would say trash your preferences, but this is a brand new install...
One big thing might be that FCP 7 isn't supported on Yosemite...nor on the previous OS. FCP 7 was discontinued before both came out, and neither were written with support for FCP 7 in mind. The core of FCP is Quicktime, and Quicktime is being phased out by Apple...it is moving towards AV Foundation, which is the core of FCX.  In fact, QT 7 that is the main core of the app isn't on Yosemite, only the hobbled QTX.

  • Firefox has run before but can't start any more

Firefox has run before but can't start any more.
I tried the solutions proposed but it doesn't work

    Hello,
    See this help Article :
[[Firefox won't start - find solutions]]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In case you want to do something straight away, try a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
    * Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
    * After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
    * Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    * Windows:
    * C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    * C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    * Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    * Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Install Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    * Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    * Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    * Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
'''''WARNING:''''' Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!
Please report back to see if this helped you!
