Auto signatures for multiple email accounts-iPhone

I currently have both my personal and work emails accounts set up on my iPhone. I created an automatice signature which I want to use only on my work account, but it also shows on when I send an email from my personal account. Does anyone know how to use an automatic signature for only one account? Thanks!

there's no fully automatic version available that I have found however there's an App called @Signature which allows you to create unique signatures for mail accounts or even have different signatures for the same account.
All you have to remember is that when you create an email, you use the App rather than mail as it inserts the correct signature into a blank email created by Mail. It still defaults to one email account so its far form perfect but at least it stores the correct signatures.

  • Multiple Signatures, for Multiple Email Accounts

I've seen in other topics that we can only have 1 signature in the iPhone Mail Application. Any 'new' work-arounds, save for manually typing in a signature in a 2nd, or 3rd email account?
    Thanks

I recently saw news of an app to enable this, I think. The workflow was something like you open up the app, select a signature, then hit a button and it takes you to Mail and pre-pastes the signature into a new mail message. So I don't think it would work for replies.
I'm afraid I have no idea where I saw it discussed. Search the App Store?

I have not been able to find a way to set up different signatures for different email accounts when using the mail program on the iPhone or iPad.  Is there any type of app that allows you do do that?
    Thanks.

Still no fix with this with the newist OS?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Long and short of it, the settings can be individually changed under Notifications. Select Mail and then the account you want to change the sound to.

  • Different signatures for different email accounts?

Is it possible to use different signatures for different email accounts?
    thanks.

Thank you Michael S. Indeed that solved the problem - but after 2 years of fighting this and a zillion other inefficiencies, I made the switch to Android. Don't get me wrong - I am NOT an Apple hater, but the lack of customization, lack of features, the inability as an example to attach a file to an Email (when replying or composing an Email) which is what 100% (not 99%) of what business people need, or the access to the file system, has made me run away. And now we are hearing all the problems with iOS 6 that are surfacing. WOW. Not having a single issue with Android. Also switched to the Samsung Galaxy S3 on my phone. What a relief. An extra 64 Meg in SD Card, Removable battery that allows me in less than 1 minute to get another 16 hours (awesome when I am travelling), all the gestures, my only regret is that I did not make that switch earlier. Just my opinion. Still love my iTouch though.,

  • How can I set up a unique signature for each email account?

Is Apple kidding me? I can put multiple email accounts on my iPad but they must all have the same signature, bcc settings etc...
That makes this a toy not a tool!
Is there an app for that?

The only work around I can think of would be to use TextExpander. Not the best solution but possibly the only one for now.

Would like to have different alert tones for each email account. Is there a way to accomplish it?

        Hi there, DawgFan1980!
I understand the purpose of the different notification sounds. The iPhone only allows 1 tone for e-mail accounts. At this time, this cannot be changed.

  • IOS Signature Settings for Multiple Email Accounts causes crashes and errors

    Hello Everyone,
I've been having troubles with iOS email signature for severals years from iOS 4 (?) through iOS 7 on everything ranging from an iPad2, iPad3, IPad Air, and various iPhones.  I'm currently on an iPad Air 128GB WiFi running iOS 7.1.2.
I have about 12 email accounts. I have it set to a unique signature per account. Whenever I try to scroll the list of signatures in the settings app, it will often have greyed out areas where a signature is supposed to be (especially after adding a new account). Other accounts will blur together and overlap each other. Very often the whole settings app crashes. Once the crashes start, they happen more frequently and you basically have to Power Off and Restart the iPad to get it back to a somewhat stable state.
I've come to accept that the Mail Signatures is broken and not stable. But maybe I'm just doing it wrong. So, I ask you great and wonderful Apple Community: Any suggestions? Or just keep on like I've been doing for the last several years?
    Thank you!
    Paul Holje

this crash has been present since ios6 (apparently). it's apparently caused by a buffer overflow (i've not yet examined the crash files i've been generating) because the engineers never tested use cases such as yours or mine.
a painful workaround is to disable all your email accounts but one, edit its signature, then disable it, and enable the next one, and so on. ios saves the correct signature for each account and the settings app crash does not occur.
    hope this helps

  • IPhone 4s - We need a separate signature for each email account.

I had no problem with this in WebOS.  Makes no sense to have muliple email accounts and not enter a different signature for each.
So far, I've not seen an app worth buying. I thought about changing signature to remove "sent from my iPhone" and changed my mind. I'm leaving it in there to advertise to everyone how limited iPhone is for truly handling personal and business email needs.
I hope Apple figures this out soon!!

As Apple hasn't thought it worth doing for 4 1/2 years I wouldn't hold my breath. The best you can do is put all of the sigs you need into the signature, then delete all but the one you want before sending.

  • How do I create an email signature for .me email account

Hi, I would like to creat an email signature that will work for my .me account on the iCloud.  I know how to do it on my iPhone.  Does the iCloud automatically inherit that signature or do you have to do it on the web.  I want the signature to work when creating and reading emails on the web UI for iCould.

log into www.icloud.com , launch the Mail web-app and see its settings ( upper right corner, tools icon ). There are settings that let you create alias, rules, signature and more.

  • Managing contacts for multiple email accounts

I am (as of yesterday) a convert from a Blackberry to the iPhone 4s (IOS 5.0.1) (32GB)
I have had iTune (10.5) on my computer for a long time, but strictl to manage an iPod for email accounts - no contacts or calendars involved. And I have never played with iCloud before.
When I purchased my iPhone at BestBuy, they copied my BB contacts to my iPhone local contacts.
FWIW, on my BB, I used BB Desktop Manager to synchronize selected Outlook contacts to my BB.
Outlook, in turn, was used to talk to Exchange on my corporate network.
What I would like to do is a follows:
    a)     Use Exchange, Gmail and Yahoo email all come to my iPhone.  This is already being done.
    b)     Using iTunes (or whatever) sychronize selected Outlook contacts to my iPhone
I am assuming this is different than using the iPhone to synchronize Exchange contacts via Push.  And I don't want to sync all 5K Exchange contacts with my iPhone, just the ~500 selected contacts in Outlook.  All togethter there are about 1000 contacts in Outlook, 500 of which were marked with a sync category.
    c)     Bonus points if I could take my Gmail and Yahoo contacts (all personal and mostly not in Outlook and certainly not in Exchange) and get them synched to my iPhone as well.
I noted that there was an option to synch Yahoo with the phone and keep (at the risk of duplicates) local contacts.  I did not see such an option for Gmail.  What I did see was that there was an option to call Gmail an Exchange Account, and then synch contacts; but only if I really didn't have a Microsoft Exchange account defined, which I do.
How, if at all would iCloud fit into this picture
    Dave

  • Issue having seperate data pushes for multiple email accounts

I've always had gmail set up through my phone. I love push and don't receive any issues using it.I recently added a 2nd, work email (exchange) to my phone. However, I'd prefer to manually check the exchange account while leaving my gmail on push. I can't seem to figure it out though. My best guess was to go:
    settings>mail>fetch new data>advanced.
I have my gmail on push and my exchange on manual. I would assume the advance settings override the push and fetch settings on the primary "fetch new data" screen. However, nothing seems to be working the way I want it to. Sometimes my phone will auto-update my exchange, sometimes i'll get gmail belated, etc.
If anyone could please advise the proper settings for both the primary screen as well as the advance settings in order to have my exchange on manual and gmail on push.
    Thanks

Note sure what G mail is, but if it involves another isp email provider not interested, I have multiple accounts as a garbage dump for spam possibilities too much spam on one account bye bye. Usually 2 main email accounts though. btw, not a memory issue either. still plenty left. Was looking at the contacts thread and there is receiving/sending issues with email since 2.0 update anyway.

  • Best setup for multiple email accounts

I have 8 email accounts in my iphone 3G and it seems that many times it gets "hung" up on the first one (gmail) because it just says "connecting". The only way to solve it is to turn the phone off and then on again, which I'm doing several times a day. For now, I have every account set to manual fetch. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue, and the best way to setup the fetching, etc.?
