Auto start flash gallery slide-show

Is there a way to to have a flash based web gallery slide show created in Photoshop CS 3. I have looked in the preferences and so on and can't find anything in PS help files.
Gerhard

Sure,
Hit File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery. After that just follow the basic wizard and let it run. It will create all the .xml files and thumbnails for you.

  • Web Gallery Slide Shows:  Music and Captions an option?

    The title sums up the question. Can web gallery slide shows (on my .Mac account) be made to look and sound like the slide shows i'm running in iphoto - with captions and audio?

    Mark:
    You can get the captions to be displayed in the web gallery by running this script to move the description to the title field before you publish the gallery. After the gallery is published you can change the title back to the file name with the Photos->Batch Change menu option.
    Have you considered using iWeb to create a photo page/slideshow and add the music to it. Here's a test page of such a setup. Be sure to read all of the comments on the linked page as there's a minor error noted in the script that is easy to correct.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

    Hello,
    Flash Player is only supported on Apple OS X systems (10.6 - 10.10).  It is not, and has never been, supported on any i-Devices.  There are no plans to support these platforms.

  • Flash 8 Slide Show

    Can anyone help me? I have been beating my head against a
    wall for two days trying to do a simple slide presentation. The
    tutorial is sooooooooooooooo vague and the example gives steps to
    doing something I am not in the least interested in doing right
    now. I think this is the most frustrating software I have ever
    used, but I won't give up!!!! Is there anyone out there that could
    spend some time with me and help me do some simple things, like a
    slide show that fades in and out, can anyone explane it to me in
    simple terms. I am new at this but have used "Front Page" for
    alomost two years. I want to upgrade and get proficient at Flash
    and Dreamweaver. So far the help menues have been absolutely
    discouraging and of no help at all.
    Thank you for any help you can give me,
    Need it to be simple.

    Very few things worth doing in life are completely simple and
    easy. You would be amazed at how many folks come to Flash and
    expect to be able to do some incredibly complex and fully developed
    application within a few tutorials. Really not going to happen!
    Almost nothing in creating a Flash XML Slide Show is all that
    difficult – if you approach it one small problem at a time.
    But if you try and make the whole thing in one pass it certainly
    will be daunting.
    I don't know what tutorial you are using so it is difficult
    to advise on that front. But often the "something I am not in the
    least interested in doing right now" part either means you are
    doing the wrong tutorial or you are far to impatient and should
    slow down your expectations a bit. Maybe.
    For the OP, are you trying to make a timeline based slideshow
    where the images are all imported to the stage and then revealed
    with some animations or perhaps even with a click of a forward/back
    button? Or are you trying to make an actionscript based type of
    interactive extensible slide show. Your answer will very much
    affect how we could possibly help here.
    For jim boles. Same thing. None of a Flash XML slide show is
    all that hard – but it is really difficult to remember that
    you were out to drain the swamp when you are up to your (ahemmmm)
    in alligators! The forum shows this is your first post. So first,
    something like that would likely get more help in the Actionscript
    forum. Then additionally I would think you should have a history of
    "How do I use the MovieClipLoader to load external Images" and "How
    do create a nice XML transfer" and "onEnterFrame vs. setInterval:
    what is your favorite way to fade a clip?" You should tackle each
    of these little problems before you try and combine them all
    together.
    There is a reason that a lot of folks charge for such things.
    It is an investment in time, learning, and development to make such
    a thing.

  • Photo gallery slide show - automatic start

    I have created a web photo gallery in Adobe Bridge and successfully
    opened it in my Dreamweaver site, but I want to the slide show to start automatically because it is on my

  • Why doesn't Firefox run an adobe flash player slide show (no arrows to move to next/previous slide), but internet explore does?

    When I try to run a slide show in Firefox, the first slide displays but the arrows to move to next/previous slide do not appear. When I try in Internet Explorer, the arrows appear. Flash Player is enabled in Firefox. There must be another setting I need to adjust. I am running Windows 7. I don't see how to access Tools menu item in Firefox. I don't see where I can check my Firefox version. It is the current version as is Flash Player.

    Just downloaded the new software update.  Is there any way to STOP the gallery photo slide show set to music ?  Besides a hammer.

    The only options are 1) the type of music and 2) the volume.

  • Flash Website "Slide-Show" like Navigation

    Hey guys,
       I am designing a website and for the first time I will be trying to implement Flash as a means for navigating the website. I have worked with flash before, but only for animation.
    I am trying to make a 'Slide-Show' like flash object that flips through slides at a predetermined speed and when a slide is clicked on it takes you to a new page. Similar to the big flash object in the middle of this page: http://www.foursquare.org/
    Can someone point me to a turorial or point me in the right direction for this, I tried googling it, but i dont know the proper terms for this. Thanks!
    -Christian

    As far as I can tell, there is no Flash content on that page--most likely some jQuery design.  So you could consider pursuing whatever approach they used for that.  Though you could do whatever section you think is Flash as a Flash design.  To get links to other pages you need to use actionscript, which means you need to decide which version you plan to use (AS2 or AS3).  What you could do is create your slideshow images as movieclips and assign linking code to each one.

  • IPhoto started running my slide show in reverse?  Why?  Can I fix it?

    Created a 46 photo slideshow.  After running it a few times I dragged one photo to a new location and now the slide show runs in reverse. Is there a way to control the direction a slideshow runs or to otherwise resolve this problem?  This makes slideshow unreliable hence unusable.  Help.  Thanks!

    I think I have found the answer...
    After  fighting this issue for a few days I went to Apple iphoto tutorial where it shows how to arrange your album as you want it,... and THEN create a "New Slideshow".
    This appears to be a new requirement to me,  as I was previously able to show my albums as slideshows in the proper order from the "ALBUM". I just created a "New Slideshow" - and it works just like the ALBUM did before.

  • Gallery slide show settings

    I have configured my tablet to run Gallery when it is placed in the cradle. I have not been able to find ANY settings that allow me to change the timing on each photo, nor the zoom action. The apparent default of 3 seconds is way too fast and I do not care for the zooming motion, preferring simple transitions.
    How do I change these settings?
    BTW, I have the latest Android version, and all other apps are up-to-date as well.

    Hello,
    Welcome to the User Discussion Forums.
    Thank you for your suggestion, we will forward your request for review.
    There are currently no settings to change the intervals or order of playback for your pictures.

  • Flash based slide show for iWeb

    If you are like me you find matching the default slideshow visually with your site difficult and it can make you look for something other than what Apple has included. Since I know flash much better than javascript I've created something lightweight but robust in flash 8. It sets the images on a black background and gives them a reflection (matches the reflection effects in iWeb).
    Sample:
    http://www.joshuabunting.com/sample/2007%20-%20Nursery.html
    Download it:
    http://www.joshuabunting.com/myBlog/files/SlideShow_Assets.zip
    To install all you have to do is replace your older "SlideShow_assets" folder with this one. That's it - no changing the iWeb javascript files or anything. I wrote a script in javascript that will read the image data from the original javascript and insert it into the flash.
    Some of the benefits of this flash slideshow (besides a visual upgrade) is that it preloads all the images, allows you to right click and print the image or view it in another window (for downloading), and includes slideshow controls via left and right keypresses. Its also very lightweight. Let me know if anyone runs into any bugs or issues and I can update it.
    If you want more information about this Slideshow you can go here:

    Hey Josh
    Really nice job there - I like it. I recently ditched the iWeb slideshow for a number of reason, the main ones being i) too slow, and ii) I hated direct publishing to .Mac from iWeb. A question or two - is there any way to see thumbnails at the top or on the sides so that the viewer can skip straight to a particular photo? Also, the viewer controls (at least in IE which I am using at work) obscure the comments accompanying the photo. Apart from those two teeny things, I love the way you've set it up - nice work!
    I am currently using Simpleviewer (see my albums linked from http://www.narly.co.nz), which seems to do the trick although does involve a little html tweaking, which I don't really mind. I can see how yours would be a gazillion times easier to implement though!

  • Flash gallery related question...

    Hi,
    I have downloaded the free Flash Gallery/Slide Show which works fine using index.html file. But I would like to add it to my Flash_Website instead of using as seperate html file.
    How can I add it to my Flash_Website so that the slide show can be viewed inside my Flash File not in Web Browser using as index.html? Please do help me to solve this problem.
    Since I can't see any option to attach the zip file, please find below the link for this free XML Image Slideshow.

    Thanks in advance.
    Note: Actually the index.html file content to be written in somewhere in the .Fla file which runs the slide show. The following is the index.html content for your reference:

    // stage dimensions

    var stageH = 350;//"100%";
    // ATTRIBUTES
    var attributes = {};
    attributes.id = 'FlabellComponent';
    attributes.name = attributes.id;
    // PARAMS
    var params = {};
    params.bgcolor = "#ffffff";
    /* FLASH VARS */
    var flashvars = {};
    /// if commented / delete these lines, the component will take the stage dimensions defined
    /// above in "JAVASCRIPT SECTIONS" section or those defined in the settings xml
    flashvars.componentWidth = stageW;
    flashvars.componentHeight = stageH;
    /// path to the content folder(where the xml files, images or video are nested)
    /// if you want to use absolute paths(like "http://domain.com/images/....") then leave it empty("")
    flashvars.pathToFiles = "banner/";
    flashvars.xmlPath = "xml/banner.xml";
    /** EMBED THE SWF**/
    swfobject.embedSWF("preview.swf"+cacheBuster, attributes.id, stageW, stageH, "9.0.124", "js/expressInstall.swf", flashvars, params);
    </script>
    <table width="100%" height="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <td align="center">
    <!-- this div will be overwritten by SWF object -->
    <div id="FlabellComponent">
    <p>In order to view this object you need Flash Player 9+ support!</p>

    </a>
    </div>
    </td>
    </table>
    </body>

    Google for loading/embedding swf file, e.g. http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=as3+embed+swf+inside+another+swf
